Alif - Laam - Raa.
ۚ
كِتَٰبٌ
A book
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
We alight it
إِلَيْكَ
towards you,
لِتُخْرِجَ
to bring out
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people
مِنَ
from
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
the darknesses
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنُّورِ
the light
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb,
إِلَىٰ
to be on
صِرَٰطِ
path of
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَمِيدِ
the most Powerful.
١٤
١
الٓر ۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ Alif - Laam - Raa. A book We alight it towards you, to bring out the people from the darknesses towards the light by command of their Rabb, to be on path of the Fortified, the most Powerful.

Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture which We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) that thereby thou mayst bring forth mankind from darkness unto light, by the permission of their Lord, unto the path of the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book We have sent down to you that you may bring mankind out from darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, to the path of the All-mighty, the All-laudable - Qarai, Ali Quli

Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book has been revealed to you, (Muhammad), so that, by the permission of their Lord, you would be able to lead people from darkness into light along the path of the Majestic, Praised One. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by their Lord's permission from utter darkness into light-- to the way of the Mighty, the Praised One, - Shakir, Habib

Alif Lam Ra. We have revealed to you this Book so that, by their Lord's command, you may lead men from darkness to the light: to the path of the Mighty, the Praiseworthy One, - Wahiduddin Khan

الۤر -یہ کتاب ہے جسے ہم نے آپ کی طرف نازل کیا ہے تاکہ آپ لوگوں کو حکم خدا سے تاریکیوں سے نکال کر نور کی طرف لے آئیں اور خدائے عزیز و حمید کے راستے پر لگادیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ا ل ر اے محمدؐ، یہ ایک کتاب ہے جس کو ہم نے تمہاری طرف نازل کیا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لاؤ، ان کے رب کی توفیق سے، اُس خدا کے راستے پر جو زبردست اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ایک کتاب ہے کہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف اتاری کہ تم لوگوں کو اندھیریوں سے اجالے میں لا ؤ ان کے رب کے حکم سے اس کی راہ کی طرف جو عزت والا سب خوبیوں والا ہے - Ahmed Raza

الف، لام، را۔ (اے رسول(ص)) یہ ایک کتاب ہے جو ہم نے آپ پر اس لئے نازل کی ہے کہ آپ لوگوں کو ان کے پروردگار کے حکم سے (کفر کی) تاریکیوں سے نکال کر (ایمان کی) روشنی کی طرف لائیں (یعنی) اس خدا کے راستہ کی طرف جو غالب (اور) قابل تعریف ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱللَّهِ
The One is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity
لَهُۥ
for Whom is
مَا
what is
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and what is
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land;
ۗ
وَوَيْلٌۭ
and affliction is
لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the deniers,
مِنْ
of
عَذَابٍۢ
a punishment
شَدِيدٍ
that is intense.
١٤
٢
ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍۢ شَدِيدٍ The One is the Entity for Whom is what is in the heavens and what is in the land; and affliction is for the deniers, of a punishment that is intense.

Allah, unto Whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. and woe unto the disbelievers from an awful doom; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Woe to the faithless for a severe punishment - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Woe to the disbelievers; they will face the most severe punishment! - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
(Of) Allah, Whose is whatever is in the heavens and whatever Is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of the severe chastisement, - Shakir, Habib
⦿
to God, who possesses whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Woe to those who deny the truth, for they shall be sternly punished! - Wahiduddin Khan

وہ اللہ وہ ہے جس کے لئے زمین و آسمان کی ہر شے ہے اور کافروں کے لئے تو سخت ترین اور افسوس ناک عذاب ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور زمین اور آسمانوں کی ساری موجودات کا مالک ہے اور سخت تباہ کن سزا ہے قبول حق سے انکار کرنے والوں کے لیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اللہ کہ اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں اور کافروں کی خرابی ہے ایک سخت عذاب سے - Ahmed Raza

وہ اللہ کہ جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب اسی کا ہے اور تباہی و بربادی ہے سخت عذاب کی وجہ سے ان کافروں کیلئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

The ones who
يَسْتَحِبُّونَ
are desireful of
ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this World
عَلَى
over
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth coming,
وَيَصُدُّونَ
and they obstruct
عَن
from
سَبِيلِ
way of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
وَيَبْغُونَهَا
and seek in it
عِوَجًا
crookedness;
ۚ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
they are
فِى
in
ضَلَٰلٍۭ
misguidance
بَعِيدٍۢ
afar.
١٤
٣
ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ The ones who are desireful of the life of this World over the forth coming, and they obstruct from way of the One, and seek in it crookedness; they are in misguidance afar.

Those who love the life of the world more than the Hereafter, and debar (men) from the way of Allah and would have it crooked: such are far astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
—those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and bar [others] from the way of Allah, and seek to make it crooked. They are in extreme error. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
It is they who have given preference to the worldly life over the life to come. They create obstacles in the way that leads to God and try to make it seem crooked. They are in manifest error. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
(To) those who love this world's life more than the hereafter, and turn away from Allah's path and desire to make it crooked; these are in a great error. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Woe to those who love this life more than the Hereafter; who turn others away from the path of God and seek to make it crooked. They have gone far astray. - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
وہ لوگ جو زندگانی دنیا کو آخرت کے مقابلے میں پسند کرتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں کجی پیدا کرنا چاہتے ہیں یہ گمراہی میں بہت دور تک چلے گئے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جو دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت پر ترجیح دیتے ہیں، جو اللہ کے راستے سے لوگوں کو روک رہے ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ یہ راستہ (ان کی خواہشات کے مطابق) ٹیٹرھا ہو جائے یہ لوگ گمراہی میں بہت دور نکل گئے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جنہیں آخرت سے دنیا کی زندگی پیاری ہے اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے اور اس میں کجی چاہتے ہیں، وہ دور کی گمراہی میں ہیں - Ahmed Raza

And not
أَرْسَلْنَا
We have sent
مِن

رَّسُولٍ
a messenger
إِلَّا
except
بِلِسَانِ
with language of
قَوْمِهِۦ
his people
لِيُبَيِّنَ
for making it clear
لَهُمْ
to them;
ۖ
فَيُضِلُّ
thus misleads
ٱللَّهُ
the One
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
وَيَهْدِى
and guides
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
ۚ
وَهُوَ
and He is
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Wise.
١٤
٤
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ ۖ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ And not We have sent of a messenger except with language of his people for making it clear to them; thus misleads the One whom He desires, and guides whom He desires, and He is the Fortified, the Wise.

And We never sent a messenger save with the language of his folk, that he might make (the message) clear for them. Then Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will. He is the Mighty, the Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send any apostle except with the language of his people, so that he might make [Our messages] clear to them. Then Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and He guides whomsoever He wishes, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. - Qarai, Ali Quli

All the Messengers that We sent spoke the language of their people so that they could explain (their message to them). God guides or causes to go astray whomever He wants. He is Majestic and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We did not send any apostle but with the language of his people, so that he might explain to them clearly; then Allah makes whom He pleases err and He guides whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Wise. - Shakir, Habib

Each messenger We have sent has spoken in the language of his own people, so that he might make the message clear to them. But God lets go astray whom He will and guides whom He pleases. He is the Almighty, the All Wise. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے جس رسول کو بھی بھیجا اسی کی قوم کی زبان کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ وہ لوگوں پر باتوں کو واضح کرسکے اس کے بعد خدا جس کو چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے وہ صاحب هعزّت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ حکمت بھی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم نے اپنا پیغام دینے کے لیے جب کبھی کوئی رسول بھیجا ہے، اُس نے اپنی قوم ہی کی زبان میں پیغام دیا ہے تاکہ وہ انہیں اچھی طرح کھول کر بات سمجھائے پھر اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے بھٹکا دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت بخشتا ہے، وہ بالا دست اور حکیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے ہر رسول اس کی قوم ہی کی زبان میں بھیجا کہ وہ انہیں صاف بتائے پھراللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے اور وہ راہ دکھاتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے (دنیا میں) جب بھی کوئی رسول بھیجا ہے تو اس کی قوم کی زبان میں تاکہ وہ ان کیلئے (پیغامِ خداوندی) کھول کر بیان کرے پس اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے (توفیق سلب کرکے) گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے وہ (سب پر) غالب ہے، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
along with Our signs
أَنْ
that,
أَخْرِجْ
[Bring out
قَوْمَكَ
your nation
مِنَ
from
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
the darknesses
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنُّورِ
the light,
وَذَكِّرْهُم
and remind them
بِأَيَّىٰمِ
about periods of
ٱللَّهِ
the One].
ۚ
إِنَّ
Surely
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
that
لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ
are signs
لِّكُلِّ
for every
صَبَّارٍۢ
one who is perseveringly
شَكُورٍۢ
thankful.
١٤
٥
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍۢ شَكُورٍۢ And certainly We sent Moosa along with Our signs that, [Bring out your nation from the darknesses towards the light, and remind them about periods of the One]. Surely in that are signs for every one who is perseveringly thankful.
⦿
We verily sent Moses with Our revelations, saying: Bring thy people forth from darkness unto light. And remind them of the days of Allah. Lo! therein are revelations for each steadfast, thankful (heart). - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs: [Bring your people out from darkness into light and remind them of Allah]s [holy] days. There are indeed signs in that for every patient and grateful [servant].] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We sent Moses and gave him miracles in order to lead his people from darkness into light and to remind them of the days of God. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for those who exercise patience and give thanks. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications, saying: Bring forth your people from utter darkness into light and remind them of the days of Allah; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
We sent Moses with Our signs, saying, [Lead your people out of the darkness into the light, and remind them of God's Days. In that there are signs for every patient, grateful person.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے موسٰی کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا کہ اپنی قوم کو ظلمتوں سے نور کی طرف نکال کر لائیں اور انہیں خدائی دنوں کی یاد دلائیں کہ بیشک اس میں تمام صبر کرنے والے اور شکر کرنے والے کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم اِس سے پہلے موسیٰؑ کو بھی اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیج چکے ہیں اسے بھی ہم نے حکم دیا تھا کہ اپنی قوم کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لا اور انہیں تاریخ الٰہی کے سبق آموز واقعات سنا کر نصیحت کر اِن واقعات میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ہر اُس شخص کے لیے جو صبر اور شکر کرنے والا ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں دے کر بھیجا کہ اپنی قوم کو اندھیریوں سے اجالے میں لا، اور انہیں اللہ کے دن یا د دِلا بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ہر بڑے صبرے والے شکر گزار کرو، - Ahmed Raza

اور بے شک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا تھا (اور حکم دیا) کہ اپنی قوم کو (کفر کے) اندھیروں سے نکال کر (ایمان کی) روشنی میں لائے اور انہیں اللہ کے مخصوص دن یاد دلاؤ یقینا اس (یاددہانی) میں ہر بڑے صبر و شکر کرنے والے کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذْ
And when
قَالَ
said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
لِقَوْمِهِ
to his nation,
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
[Continuously remember
نِعْمَةَ
gift of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
إِذْ
when
أَنجَىٰكُم
you were saved
مِّنْ
from
ءَالِ
commanders of
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun
يَسُومُونَكُمْ
who occupied you with
سُوٓءَ
worst of
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the torture,
وَيُذَبِّحُونَ
and slaughtered
أَبْنَآءَكُمْ
your able ones
وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ
and humilliated
نِسَآءَكُمْ
your weak ones;
ۚ
وَفِى
and in
ذَٰلِكُم
that for you
بَلَآءٌۭ
was a test
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Rabb
عَظِيمٌۭ
who is great.]
١٤
٦
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌۭ And when said Moosa to his nation, [Continuously remember gift of the One upon you, when you were saved from commanders of Fir'oun who occupied you with worst of the torture, and slaughtered your able ones and humilliated your weak ones; and in that for you was a test from your Rabb who is great.]

And (remind them) how Moses said unto his people: Remember Allah's favour unto you when He delivered you from Pharaoh's folk who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, and were slaying your sons and sparing your women; that was a tremendous trial from your Lord. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Moses said to his people, [Remember Allah]s blessing upon you when He delivered you from Pharaoh]s clan who inflicted a terrible torment on you, and slaughtered your sons and spared your women, and in that there was a great test from your Lord. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses told his people, [Remember the favors that God granted you when He saved you from the people of the Pharaoh who had punished you in the worst manner by murdering your sons and keeping your women alive. It was a great trial for you from your Lord. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Musa said to his people: Call to mind Allah's favor to you when He delivered you from Firon's people, who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord. - Shakir, Habib

Moses said to his people, [Remember God's goodness to you when He delivered you from Pharaoh's people who were treating you cruelly, putting your sons to death and sparing only your daughters. Surely that was a great trial from your Lord. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب موسٰی نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ تم لوگ اللہ کی اس نعمت کو یاد کرو کہ اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دلائی جب کہ وہ بدترین عذاب میں مبتلا کررہے تھے کہ تمہارے لڑکوں کو ذبح کررہے تھے اور تمہاری لڑکیوں کو (کنیزی کے لئے)زندہ رکھتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے بڑا سخت امتحان تھا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو جب موسیٰؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا ——اللہ کے اُس احسان کو یاد رکھو جو اس نے تم پر کیا ہے اس نے تم کو فرعون والوں سے چھڑایا جو تم کو سخت تکلیفیں دیتے تھے، تمہارے لڑکوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ بچا رکھتے تھے اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا یاد کرو اپنے اوپر اللہ کا احسان جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دی جو تم کو بری مار دیتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتے اور تمہاری بیٹیاں زندہ رکھتے، اور اس میں تمہارے رب کا بڑا فضل ہوا، - Ahmed Raza

اور یاد کرو جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا اللہ کے اس احسان کو یاد کرو جو اس نے تم پر کیا یعنی اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دی جو تمہیں سخت عذاب پہنچاتے تھے اور وہ تمہارے لڑکوں کو ذبح کر ڈالتے تھے اور لڑکیوں کو زندہ چھوڑ دیتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

for sure I will increase you.
ۖ
وَلَئِن
And if
كَفَرْتُمْ
you deny
إِنَّ
then
عَذَابِى
My punishment
لَشَدِيدٌۭ
is forsure intense.]
١٤
٧
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌۭ And when declared your Rabb, [If it is that you are thankful, for sure I will increase you. And if you deny then My punishment is forsure intense.]

And when your Lord proclaimed: If ye give thanks, I will give you more; but if ye are thankless, lo! My punishment is dire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when your Lord proclaimed, “If you are grateful, I will surely enhance you [in blessing], but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is indeed severe.” ] - Qarai, Ali Quli

[Remember when your Lord said to you, 'If you give thanks, I shall give you greater (favors), but if you deny the Truth, know that My retribution is severe ]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when your Lord made it known: If you are grateful, I would certainly give to you more, and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is truly severe. - Shakir, Habib

Remember also the time when your Lord declared, 'If you are grateful, I will surely bestow more favours on you; but if you are ungrateful, then know that My punishment is severe indeed.'] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب تمہارے پروردگار نے اعلان کیا کہ اگر تم ہمارا شکریہ اد اکرو گے تو ہم نعمتوں میں اضافہ کردیں گے اور اگر کفرانِ نعمت کرو گے تو ہمارا عذاب بھی بہت سخت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور یاد رکھو، تمہارے رب نے خبردار کر دیا تھا کہ اگر شکر گزار بنو گے تو میں تم کو اور زیادہ نوازوں گا اور اگر کفران نعمت کرو گے تو میری سزا بہت سخت ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے رب نے سنادیا کہ اگر احسان مانو گے تو میں تمہیں اور دونگا اور اگر ناشکری کرو تو میرا عذاب سخت ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے پروردگار نے تمہیں مطلع کر دیا تھا کہ اگر (میرا) شکر ادا کروگے تو میں تمہیں اور زیادہ دوں گا اور اگر کفرانِ نعمت (ناشکری) کروگے تو میرا عذاب بھی بڑا سخت ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالَ
And said
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosa,
إِن
[If
تَكْفُرُوٓا۟
deny,
أَنتُمْ
you all
وَمَن
and whoever is
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the Earth
جَمِيعًۭا
collectively,
فَإِنَّ
thus it is that
ٱللَّهَ
the One
لَغَنِىٌّ
is beyond needs of
حَمِيدٌ
commendation.]
١٤
٨
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ And said Moosa, [If deny, you all and whoever is in the Earth collectively, thus it is that the One is beyond needs of commendation.]

And Moses said: Though ye and all who are in the earth prove thankless, lo! Allah verily is Absolute, Owner of Praise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And Moses said, [Should you be faithless,—you and everyone on the earth, all together—indeed Allah is all-sufficient, all-laudable.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses told his people, [If you and everyone on the earth turn to disbelief, know that God is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa said: If you are ungrateful, you and those on earth all together, most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised; - Shakir, Habib

Moses said, [Even if you should deny the truth, and all who dwell on earth together, God is self-sufficient, praiseworthy.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور موسٰی نے یہ بھی کہہ دیا کہ اگر تم سب اور روئے زمین کے تمام بسنے والے بھی کافر ہوجائیں تو ہمارا اللہ سب سے بے نیاز ہے اور وہ قابلِ حمد و ستائش ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور موسیٰؑ نے کہا کہ ——اگر تم کفر کرو اور زمین کے سارے رہنے والے بھی کافر ہو جائیں تو اللہ بے نیاز اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور موسیٰ نے کہا اگر تم اور زمین میں جتنے ہیں سب کا فر ہوجاؤ تو بیشک اللہ بے پروہ سب خوبیوں والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور موسیٰ نے کہا کہ اگر تم اور روئے زمین کے سب لوگ کفر اختیار کریں تو اللہ کو اس کی کیا پروا ہے وہ یقیناً بے نیاز (اور) قابلِ ستائش ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Nooh
وَعَادٍۢ
and 'Aad
وَثَمُودَ
and Thamud
ۛ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِمْ
after them?
ۛ
لَا
No one
يَعْلَمُهُمْ
remembers them
إِلَّا
except
ٱللَّهُ
the One;
ۚ
جَآءَتْهُمْ
when came to them
رُسُلُهُم
their messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
with the clarifications,
فَرَدُّوٓا۟
thus they shoved
أَيْدِيَهُمْ
their hands
فِىٓ
in
أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
their mouths
وَقَالُوٓا۟
and they said,
إِنَّا
[Certainly
كَفَرْنَا
we deny
بِمَآ
with what
أُرْسِلْتُم
you are delivering
بِهِۦ
regarding it,
وَإِنَّا
and we
لَفِى
are in
شَكٍّۢ
doubt
مِّمَّا
however
تَدْعُونَنَآ
you are inviting us
إِلَيْهِ
to it,
مُرِيبٍۢ
being suspicious.]
١٤
٩
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٍۢ وَثَمُودَ ۛ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍۢ Has not come to you news of the ones from before you, people of Nooh and 'Aad and Thamud and the ones from after them? No one remembers them except the One; when came to them their messengers with the clarifications, thus they shoved their hands in their mouths and they said, [Certainly we deny with what you are delivering regarding it, and we are in doubt however you are inviting us to it, being suspicious.]

Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you—the people of Noah, [Ad and Thamud, and those who were after them, whom no one knows [well] except Allah? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, [We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Have you (believers) ever heard the news about those who lived before you, like the people of Noah, Ad, Thamud, and those who lived after them? No one knows about them except God. Messengers were sent to them with miracles, but they put their hands to their mouths and said, [We do not believe in whatever you preach and we are also doubtful and uncertain about that to which you invite us.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Has not the account reached you of those before you, of the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood, and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their apostles come to them with clear arguments, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: Surely we deny that with which you are sent, and most surely we are in serious doubt as to that to which you invite us. - Shakir, Habib

Has not news come to you concerning those who preceded you, such as Noah's people, and the 'Ad and Thamud, as well as those who came after them? Only God knows who they were. The messengers came to them with clear signs, but they put their hands to their mouths saying, [We deny the message you have been sent with. We have grave doubts about what you are inviting us to do.] - Wahiduddin Khan

کیا تمہارے پاس اپنے سے پہلے والوں قوم نوح اور قوم عاد و ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد گزرے ہیں اور جنہیں خدا کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے کی خبر نہیں آئی ہے کہ ان کے پاس اللہ کے رسول معجزات لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے ان کے ہاتھوں کو ان ہی کے منہ کی طرف پلٹا دیا اور صاف کہہ دیا کہ ہم تمہارے لائے ہوئے پیغام کے منکر ہیں اور ہمیں اس بات کے بارے میں واضح شک ہے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دے رہے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تمہیں اُن قوموں کے حالات نہیں پہنچے جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں؟ قوم نوحؑ، عاد، ثمود اور اُن کے بعد آنے والی بہت سی قومیں جن کا شمار اللہ ہی کو معلوم ہے؟ اُن کے رسول جب اُن کے پاس صاف صاف باتیں اور کھلی کھلی نشانیاں لیے ہوئے آئے تو اُنہوں نے اپنے منہ میں ہاتھ دبا لیے اور کہا کہ ——جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کو نہیں مانتے اور جس چیز کی تم ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو اُس کی طرف سے ہم سخت خلجان آمیز شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا تمہیں ان کی خبریں نہ آئیں جو تم سے پہلے تھی نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ ہی جانے ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے تو وہ اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ کی طرف لے گئے اور بولے ہم منکر ہیں اس کے جو تمہارے ہاتھ بھیجا گیا اور جس راہ کی طرف ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس میں ہمیں وہ شک ہے کہ بات کھلنے نہیں دیتا، - Ahmed Raza

کیا تمہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکے (یعنی) قومِ نوح(ع) اور عاد و ثمود(ع) اور وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوئے ہیں جنہیں اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ جب ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں (معجزے) لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ میں دبا لئے اور کہا کہ جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور تم جس (دین) کی طرف ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو ہم اس کی طرف سے تردد آمیز شک میں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Said
رُسُلُهُمْ
their messengers,
أَفِى

a doubt?
فَاطِرِ

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the Earth;
ۖ
يَدْعُوكُمْ
He calls you
لِيَغْفِرَ
to have pardon
لَكُم
for you
مِّن
from
ذُنُوبِكُمْ
your offenses,
وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ
and to delay you
إِلَىٰٓ
till
أَجَلٍۢ
a time
مُّسَمًّۭى
identified.]
ۚ
قَالُوٓا۟
They replied,
إِنْ
[Indeed
أَنتُمْ
you are
إِلَّا
not but
بَشَرٌۭ
a man
مِّثْلُنَا
like us,
تُرِيدُونَ
you are looking for
أَن
that
تَصُدُّونَا
you stop us
عَمَّا
over what
كَانَ
were
يَعْبُدُ
obeying
ءَابَآؤُنَا
our forefathers?
فَأْتُونَا
Thus produce for us
بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ
regarding an authority
مُّبِينٍۢ
clearly.]
١٤
١٠
قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّۭ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ Said their messengers, [Is in the One a doubt? Engineer of the heavens and the Earth; He calls you to have pardon for you from your offenses, and to delay you till a time identified.] They replied, [Indeed you are not but a man like us, you are looking for that you stop us over what were obeying our forefathers? Thus produce for us regarding an authority clearly.]

Their messengers said: Can there be doubt concerning Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? He calleth you that He may forgive you your sins and reprieve you unto an appointed term. They said: Ye are but mortals like us, who would fain turn us away from what our fathers used to worship. Then bring some clear warrant. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their apostles said, [Is there any doubt about Allah, the originator of the heavens and the earth?! He calls you to forgive you a part of your sins, and grants you respite until a specified time.] They said, [You are nothing but humans like us who desire to bar us from what our fathers used to worship. So bring us a manifest authority.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers asked them, [Could there be any doubt about the existence of God who has created the heavens and the earth? He calls you to Himself to forgive your sins. He gives you respite only until the appointed time.] They said, [You are mere mortals like us. What you want is to prevent us from worshipping that which our fathers worshipped. Show us clear proof (if what you say is true).] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Their apostles said: Is there doubt about Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? He invites you to forgive you your faults and to respite you till an appointed term. They said: You are nothing but mortals like us; you wish to turn us away from what our fathers used to worship; bring us therefore some clear authority. - Shakir, Habib

Their messengers said, [Is there any doubt about God, the Originator of the heavens and earth? He calls you to Him in order to forgive you some of your offences and to reprieve you for a specific period.] They said, [You are only human beings like ourselves! You want to divert us from what our forefathers have been worshipping, so bring us some clear authority.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو رسولوں نے کہا کہ کیا تمہیں اللہ کے بارے میں بھی شک ہے جو زمین و آسمان کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور تمہیں اس لئے بلاتا ہے کہ تمہارے گناہوں کو معاف کردے اور ایک معینہ مدّت تک زمین میں چین سے رہنے دے ....تو ان لوگوں نے جواب دیا کہ تم سب بھی ہمارے ہی جیسے بشر ہو اور چاہتے ہو کہ ہمیں ان چیزوں سے روک دو جن کی ہمارے باپ دادا عبادت کیا کرتے تھے تو اب کوئی کھلی ہوئی دلیل لے آؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُن کے رسولوں نے کہا ——کیا خدا کے بارے میں شک ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا خالق ہے؟ وہ تمہیں بلا ر =ہا ہے تاکہ تمہارے قصور معاف کرے اور تم کو ایک مدت مقرر تک مہلت دے—— اُنہوں نے جواب دیا ——تم کچھ نہیں ہو مگر ویسے ہی انسان جیسے ہم ہیں تم ہمیں اُن ہستیوں کی بندگی سے روکنا چاہتے ہو جن کی بندگی باپ دادا سے ہوتی چلی آ رہی ہے اچھا تو لاؤ کوئی صریح سند—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ان کے رسولوں نے کہا کیا اللہ میں شک ہے آسمان اور زمین کا بنانے والا، تمہیں بلاتا ہے کہ تمہارے کچھ گناہ بخشے اور موت کے مقرر وقت تک تمہاری زندگی بے عذاب کاٹ دے، بولے تم تو ہمیں جیسے آدمی ہو تم چاہتے ہو کہ ہمیں اس سے باز رکھو جو ہمارے باپ دادا پوجتے تھے اب کوئی روشن سند ہمارے پاس لے آؤ - Ahmed Raza

ان کے رسولوں نے کہا کیا (تمہیں) اللہ کے بارے میں شک ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا خالق ہے؟ وہ تمہیں اس لئے بلا رہا ہے کہ تمہارے گناہ بخش دے اور تمہیں ایک مقررہ وقت تک مہلت دے اس پر ان لوگوں نے کہا تم نہیں ہو مگر ہمارے جیسے بشر (اور انسان) تم چاہتے ہو کہ جن کی ہمارے باپ دادا عبادت کرتے آئے ہیں ہمیں ان کی عبادت سے روکو! سو ہمارے پاس کوئی کھلا ہوا (ہمارا مطلوبہ) معجزہ لاؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Said
لَهُمْ
to them
رُسُلُهُمْ
their messengers
إِن
that,
نَّحْنُ
[We are
إِلَّا
not but
بَشَرٌۭ
men
مِّثْلُكُمْ
like you all,
وَلَٰكِنَّ
however
ٱللَّهَ
the One
يَمُنُّ
bestows favour
عَلَىٰ
upon
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires
مِنْ
from
عِبَادِهِۦ
His servants;
ۖ
وَمَا
and not
كَانَ
was
لَنَآ
for us
أَن
that
نَّأْتِيَكُم
we come to you
بِسُلْطَٰنٍ
with an authority
إِلَّا
except
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۚ
وَعَلَى
and upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
thus are reliant
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
the ones who have conviction.]
١٤
١١
قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ Said to them their messengers that, [We are not but men like you all, however the One bestows favour upon whom He desires from His servants; and not was for us that we come to you with an authority except by command of the One; and upon the One thus are reliant the ones who have conviction.]

Their messengers said unto them: We are but mortals like you, but Allah giveth grace unto whom He will of His slaves. It is not ours to bring you a warrant unless by the permission of Allah. In Allah let believers put their trust! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their apostles said to them, [Indeed we are just human beings like yourselves; but Allah favours whomever of His servants that He wishes. We may not bring you an authority except by Allah]s leave, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers replied, [We are certainly mere mortals like you, but God bestows His favors on whichever of His servants He wants. We can not bring you authority without the permission of God. The faithful should trust in God alone. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Their apostles said to them: We are nothing but mortals like yourselves, but Allah bestows (His) favors on whom He pleases of His servants, and it is not for us that we should bring you an authority except by Allah's permission; and on Allah should the believers rely. - Shakir, Habib

Their messengers replied, [We are indeed mortals like yourselves. But God bestows His grace on such of His servants as He chooses. We cannot give you miracles, except by God's leave. In God let true believers put their trust -- - Wahiduddin Khan

ان سے رسولوں نے کہا کہ یقینا ہم تمہارے ہی جیسے بشر ہیں لیکن خدا جس بندے پر چاہتا ہے مخصوص احسان بھی کرتا ہے اور ہمارے اختیار میں یہ بھی نہیں ہے کہ ہم بلااذنِ خدا کوئی دلیل یا معجزہ لے آئیں اور صاحبان هایمان تو صرف اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان کے رسولوں نے ان سے کہا ——واقعی ہم کچھ نہیں ہیں مگر تم ہی جیسے انسان لیکن اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہتا ہے نوازتا ہے اور یہ ہمارے اختیار میں نہیں ہے کہ تمہیں کوئی سند لا دیں سند تو اللہ ہی کے اذن سے آسکتی ہے اور اللہ ہی پر اہل ایمان کو بھروسہ کرنا چاہیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ان کے رسولوں نے ان سے کہا ہم ہیں تو تمہاری طرح انسان مگر اللہ اپنے بندوں میں جس پر چاہے احسان فرماتا ہے اور ہمارا کام نہیں کہ ہم تمہارے پاس کچھ سند لے آئیں مگر اللہ کے حکم سے، اور مسلمانوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے - Ahmed Raza

He guided us to
سُبُلَنَا
our paths?
ۚ
وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ
And we are to persevere
عَلَىٰ
over
مَآ
however
ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا
you hurt us;
ۚ
وَعَلَى
and upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
thus are reliant
ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
the ones who advocate (His message).]
١٤
١٢
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ [And what for us that not we rely upon the One, while certainly He guided us to our paths? And we are to persevere over however you hurt us; and upon the One thus are reliant the ones who advocate (His message).]

How should we not put our trust in Allah when He hath shown us our ways? We surely will endure the hurt ye do us. In Allah let the trusting put their trust. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And why should we not put our trust in Allah, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? Surely, we will put up patiently with whatever torment you may inflict upon us, and in Allah let all the trusting put their trust.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Why should we not trust in God when He has shown us the right way? We shall exercise patience against the troubles with which you afflict us. Whoever needs a trustee should trust in God.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And what reason have we that we should not rely on Allah? And He has indeed guided us in our ways; and certainly we would bear with patience your persecution of us; and on Allah should the reliant rely. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
and why should we not put our trust in God when He has already guided us to our paths? We will, surely, bear with patience all the harm you do us. So in God let those who trust put their trust.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم کیوں نہ اللہ پر بھروسہ کریں جب کہ اسی نے ہمیں ہمارے راستوں کی ہدایت دی ہے اور ہم یقینا تمہاری اذیتوں پر صبر کریں گے اور بھروسہ کرنے والے تو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہم کیوں نہ اللہ پر بھروسہ کریں جبکہ ہماری زندگی کی راہوں میں اس نے ہماری رہنمائی کی ہے؟ جو اذیتیں تم لوگ ہمیں دے رہے ہو اُن پر ہم صبر کریں گے اور بھروسا کرنے والوں کا بھروسا اللہ ہی پر ہونا چاہیے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہمیں کیا ہوا کہ اللہ پر بھروسہ نہ کریں اس نے تو ہماری راہیں ہمیں دکھادیں اور تم جو ہمیں ستا رہے ہو ہم ضرور اس پر صبر کریں گے، اور بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے، - Ahmed Raza

آخر ہمیں کیا ہے کہ ہم اللہ پر بھروسہ نہ کریں حالانکہ اسی نے ہمیں ہماری (زندگی کی) راہوں کی راہنمائی کی ہے اور تم ہمیں جو ایذائیں پہنچا رہے ہو ہم ان پر صبر کریں گے اور اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو بھروسہ کرنا چاہیئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
were in denial
لِرُسُلِهِمْ
for their messengers,
لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم
[Either we are to evict you
مِّنْ
from
أَرْضِنَآ
our land,
أَوْ
or
لَتَعُودُنَّ
you are to become conditioned
فِى
in
مِلَّتِنَا
our creed.]
ۖ
فَأَوْحَىٰٓ
Thus inspired
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them (the messengers)
رَبُّهُمْ
their Rabb,
لَنُهْلِكَنَّ
[We are to destroy
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness.]
١٤
١٣
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَا ۖ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ And said the ones who were in denial for their messengers, [Either we are to evict you from our land, or you are to become conditioned in our creed.] Thus inspired to them (the messengers) their Rabb, [We are to destroy the people in darkness.]
⦿
And those who disbelieved said unto their messengers: Verily we will drive you out from our land, unless ye return to our religion. Then their Lord inspired them, (saying): Verily we shall destroy the wrong-doers, - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
But the faithless said to their apostles, [Surely we will expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.] Thereat their Lord revealed to them: [We will surely destroy the wrongdoers, - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The disbelievers told the Messengers, [We shall expel you from our land unless you revert to our religion.] Their Lord then sent them (the messengers) a revelation, [We have decided to destroy the unjust - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And those who disbelieved said to their apostles: We will most certainly drive you forth from our land, or else you shall come back into our religion. So their Lord revealed to them: Most certainly We will destroy the unjust. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Those who deny the truth said to their messengers, [We shall banish you from our land unless you return to our ways.] But their Lord inspired the messengers, saying, [We shall destroy the evil-doers, - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا کہ ہم تم کو اپنی سرزمین سے نکال باہر کردیں گے یا تم ہمارے مذہب کی طرف پلٹ آؤ گے تو پروردگار نے ان کی طرف وحی کی کہ خبردار گھبراؤ نہیں ہم یقینا ظالمین کو تباہ و برباد کردیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار منکرین نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہہ دیا کہ ——یا تو تمہیں ہماری ملت میں واپس آنا ہوگا ورنہ ہم تمہیں اپنے ملک سے نکال دیں گے—— تب اُن کے رب نے اُن پر وحی بھیجی کہ ——ہم اِن ظالموں کو ہلا ک کر دیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا ہم ضرور تمہیں اپنی زمین سے نکال دیں گے یا تم ہمارے دین پر کچھ ہوجاؤ، تو انہیں ان کے رب نے وحی بھیجی کہ ہم ضرور ظالموں کو ہلاک کریں گے - Ahmed Raza

اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا کہ ہم تمہیں اپنی سر زمین سے نکال دیں گے یا پھر تم ہمارے مذہب میں لوٹ آؤ اور تب ان کے پروردگار نے ان پر وحی بھیجی کہ ہم ان ظالموں کو ضرور ہلاک کر دیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

[And We will establish you in
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the land
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِمْ
after them;
ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
that is
لِمَنْ
for who
خَافَ
fears
مَقَامِى
My position
وَخَافَ
and fears
وَعِيدِ
My promise.]
[And We will establish you in the land from after them; that is for who fears My position and fears My promise.]
⦿
And verily We shall make you to dwell in the land after them. This is for him who feareth My Majesty and feareth My threats. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and surely We will settle you in the land after them. This [promise] is for someone who is awed to stand before Me and fears My threat.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
and settle you in the land thereafter. This is for those who are afraid of Me and of My warning.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And most certainly We will settle you in the land after them; this is for him who fears standing in My presence and who fears My threat. - Shakir, Habib

and settle you on the land to succeed them. That is [in store] for anyone who is in awe of meeting Me, and who heeds My warnings.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور تمہیں ان کے بعد زمین میں آباد کردیں گے اور یہ سب ان لوگوں کے لئے ہے جو ہمارے مقام اور مرتبہ سے ڈرتے ہیں اور ہمارے عذاب کا خوف رکھتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُن کے بعد تمہیں زمین میں آباد کریں گے یہ انعام ہے اُس کا جو میرے حضور جواب دہی کا خوف رکھتا ہو اور میری وعید سے ڈرتا ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ضرور ہم تم کو ان کے بعد زمین میں بسائیں گے یہ اس لیے ہے جو میرے حضو ر کھڑے ہونے سے ڈرے اور میں نے جو عذاب کا حکم سنایا ہے، اس سے خوف کرے، - Ahmed Raza

اور ان کے بعد ہم تمہیں اس سر زمین میں آباد کریں گے یہ (وعدہ) ہر اس شخص کے لئے ہے جو میری بارگاہ میں کھڑے ہونے سے ڈرے اور میری تہدید سے خائف ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And they sought victory,
وَخَابَ
while disappointed was
كُلُّ
every
جَبَّارٍ
prideful
عَنِيدٍۢ
tyrant.
And they sought victory, while disappointed was every prideful tyrant.

And they sought help (from their Lord) and every froward potentate was bought to naught; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They prayed for victory [against the infidels], and every obstinate tyrant was defeated, - Qarai, Ali Quli

They prayed for victory and the haughty transgressors were defeated. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they asked for judgment and every insolent opposer was disappointed: - Shakir, Habib

When they sought Our Judgement, every stubborn oppressor was frustrated. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور پیغمبروں نے ہم سے فتح کا مطالبہ کیا اور ان سے عناد رکھنے والے سرکش افراد ذلیل اور رسوا ہوگئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُنہوں نے فیصلہ چاہا تھا (تو یوں اُن کا فیصلہ ہوا) اور ہر جبار دشمن حق نے منہ کی کھائی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور انہوں نے فیصلہ مانگا اور ہر سرکش ہٹ دھرم نا مُراد ہوا - Ahmed Raza

اور انہوں (رسولوں) نے (ہم سے) فتح مندی طلب کی (جو قبول ہوئی) اور ہر سرکش ضدی (حق کی مخالفت کرنے والا) نامراد ہوا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

مِّن
From
وَرَآئِهِۦ
behind him is
جَهَنَّمُ
hell,
وَيُسْقَىٰ
and is given drink
مِن
from
مَّآءٍۢ
a water
صَدِيدٍۢ
that is purulent.
From behind him is hell, and is given drink from a water that is purulent.
⦿
Hell is before him, and he is made to drink a festering water, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

with hell lying ahead of him, [where] he shall be given to drink of a purulent fluid, - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Thereafter they will face hell fire wherein they will drink boiling water. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Hell is before him and he shall be given to drink of festering water: - Shakir, Habib

Beyond him is Hell, and he shall drink putrid water; - Wahiduddin Khan

ان کے پیچھے جہّنم ہے اور انہیں پیپ دار پانی پلایا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اس کے بعد آگے اس کے لیے جہنم ہے وہاں اُسے کچ لہو کا سا پانی پینے کو دیا جائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جہنم اس کے پیچھے لگی اور اسے پیپ کا پانی پلایا جائے گا، - Ahmed Raza

يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ
He gulps it
وَلَا
while not
يَكَادُ
can instantly
يُسِيغُهُۥ
swallow it,
وَيَأْتِيهِ
and comes to him
ٱلْمَوْتُ
the death
مِن
from
كُلِّ
every
مَكَانٍۢ
where
وَمَا
while not
هُوَ
he is
بِمَيِّتٍۢ
with death;
ۖ
وَمِن
and from
وَرَآئِهِۦ
behind him is
عَذَابٌ
a punishment
غَلِيظٌۭ
that is crude.

١٧
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍۢ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍۢ ۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌۭ He gulps it while not can instantly swallow it, and comes to him the death from every where while not he is with death; and from behind him is a punishment that is crude.

Which he sippeth but can hardly swallow, and death cometh unto him from every side while yet he cannot die, and before him is a harsh doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

gulping it down, but hardly swallowing it: death will assail him from every side, but he will not die, and there is [yet] a harsh punishment ahead of him. - Qarai, Ali Quli

As they sip the unpleasant water, death will approach them from all sides, but they will never die. In addition to this, they will experience the most intense torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He will drink it little by little and will not be able to swallow it agreeably, and death will come to him from every quarter, but he shall not die; and there shall be vehement chastisement before him. - Shakir, Habib

he will sip and will not find it easy to swallow it. Death will approach him from every quarter, yet he will not die. More intense suffering will lie ahead of him. - Wahiduddin Khan

جسے گھونٹ گھونٹ پئیں گے اور وہ انہیں گوارا نہ ہوگا اور انہیں موت ہر طرف سے گھیر لے گی حالانکہ وہ مرنے والے نہیں ہیں اور ان کے پیچھے بہت سخت عذاب لگا ہوا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جسے وہ زبردستی حلق سے اتارنے کی کوشش کرے گا اور مشکل ہی سے اتار سکے گا موت ہر طرف سے اس پر چھائی رہے گی مگر وہ مرنے نہ پائے گا اور آگے ایک سخت عذاب اس کی جان کا لاگو رہے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بہ مشکل اس کا تھوڑا تھوڑا گھونٹ لے گا اور گلے سے نیچے اتارنے کی امید نہ ہوگی اور اسے ہر طرف سے موت آئے گی اور مرے گا نہیں، اور اس کے پیچھے ایک گاڑھا عذاب - Ahmed Raza

مَّثَلُ
An example of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial
بِرَبِّهِمْ
regarding their Rabb;
ۖ
أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ
their actions are
كَرَمَادٍ
like ashes,
ٱشْتَدَّتْ
fiercely blowing
بِهِ
through them
ٱلرِّيحُ
the wind
فِى
in
يَوْمٍ
a day of
عَاصِفٍۢ
a storm;
ۖ
لَّا
not
يَقْدِرُونَ
they become valuable
مِمَّا
from what
كَسَبُوا۟
they earn
عَلَىٰ
upon
شَىْءٍۢ
a thing;
ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
that is
هُوَ
this
ٱلضَّلَٰلُ
misguidance
ٱلْبَعِيدُ
that takes one far away.
١٤
١٨
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍۢ ۖ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ An example of the ones who are in denial regarding their Rabb; their actions are like ashes, fiercely blowing through them the wind in a day of a storm; not they become valuable from what they earn upon a thing; that is this misguidance that takes one far away.

A similitude of those who disbelieve in their Lord: Their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day. They have no control of aught that they have earned. That is the extreme failure. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

A parable of those who defy their Lord: their deeds are like ashes over which the wind blows hard on a tempestuous day: they have no power over anything they have earned. That is extreme error. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The deeds of those who deny the existence of their Lord are like ashes blown about by a strong wind on a stormy day. They will achieve nothing from their deeds. (What they have done) is a manifest error. - Sarwar, Muhammad

The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord: their actions are like ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day; they shall not have power over any thing out of what they have earned; this is the great error. - Shakir, Habib

The works of those who deny their Lord are like ashes which the wind scatters on a stormy day: they shall gain nothing from what they do. To act thus is to stray far into error. - Wahiduddin Khan

جن لوگوں نے اپنے پروردگار کا انکار کیا ان کے اعمال کی مثال اس راکھ کی ہے جسے اندھڑ کے دن کی تند ہوا اڑا لے جائے کہ وہ اپنے حاصل کئے ہوئے پر بھی کوئی اختیار نہ رکھیں گے اور یہی بہت دور تک پھیلی ہوئی گمراہی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جن لوگوں نے اپنے رب سے کفر کیا ہے ان کے اعمال کی مثال اُس راکھ کی سی ہے جسے ایک طوفانی دن کی آندھی نے اڑا دیا ہو وہ اپنے کیے کا کچھ بھی پھل نہ پا سکیں گے یہی پرلے درجے کی گم گشتگی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اپنے رب سے منکروں کا حال ایسا ہے کہ ان کے کام ہیں جیسے راکھ کہ اس پر ہوا کا سخت جھونکا آیا آندھی کے دن میں ساری کمائی میں سے کچھ ہاتھ نہ لگا، یہی ہے دور کی گمراہی، - Ahmed Raza

أَلَمْ
Do not
تَرَ
you see
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
the One
خَلَقَ
has created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the Earth
بِٱلْحَقِّ
with precise determination?
ۚ
إِن
If
يَشَأْ
He desires,
يُذْهِبْكُمْ
He can do away with you
وَيَأْتِ
and can bring
بِخَلْقٍۢ
about a creation
جَدِيدٍۢ
that is renewed.
١٤
١٩
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍۢ Do not you see that the One has created the heavens and the Earth with precise determination? If He desires, He can do away with you and can bring about a creation that is renewed.

Hast thou not seen that Allah hath created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in) some new creation; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have you not regarded that Allah created the heavens and the earth with justice? If He wishes, He will take you away, and bring about a new creation, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do you not realize that God has created the heavens and the earth for a genuine purpose - Sarwar, Muhammad

Do you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He please He will take you off and bring a new creation, - Shakir, Habib

Do you not see that God has created the heavens and the earth for a purpose? He can eliminate you if He wills and bring into being a new creation: - Wahiduddin Khan

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے زمین اور آسمانوں کو برحق پیدا کیا ہے وہ چاہے تو تم کو فنا کرکے ایک نئی مخلوق کو لاسکتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تم دیکھتے نہیں ہو کہ اللہ نے آسمان و زمین کی تخلیق کو حق پر قائم کیا ہے؟ وہ چاہے تو تم لوگوں کو لے جائے اور ایک نئی خلقت تمہاری جگہ لے آئے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا تو نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ نے آسمان اور زمین حق کے ساتھ بنائے اگر چاہے تو تمہیں لے جائے اور ایک نئی مخلوق لے آئے - Ahmed Raza

وَمَا
And not is
ذَٰلِكَ
that
عَلَى
over
ٱللَّهِ
the One
بِعَزِيزٍۢ
with any power.
And not is that over the One with any power.

And that is no great matter for Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and that it is not at all difficult for God to replace you with another creature if He so wills? - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when they appear
لِلَّهِ
for the One
جَمِيعًۭا
collectively,
فَقَالَ
thus will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
for the ones who
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟
were flaunting their arrogance,
إِنَّا
[Certainly we
كُنَّا
were
لَكُمْ
for you
تَبَعًۭا
as disciples,
فَهَلْ
thus are
أَنتُم
you going to
مُّغْنُونَ
help us
عَنَّا
against
مِنْ
from
عَذَابِ
punishment of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مِن
of
شَىْءٍۢ
a thing?]
ۚ
قَالُوا۟
Their reply,
لَوْ
[If
هَدَىٰنَا
guided us
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
لَهَدَيْنَٰكُمْ
we would have guided you;
ۖ
سَوَآءٌ
same is
عَلَيْنَآ
upon us whether
أَجَزِعْنَآ
we are anxious
أَمْ
or
صَبَرْنَا
we persevere,
مَا
not
لَنَا
for us is
مِن
of
مَّحِيصٍۢ
a refuge.]

وَبَرَزُوا۟ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا فَقَالَ ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعًۭا فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ قَالُوا۟ لَوْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ لَهَدَيْنَٰكُمْ ۖ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَجَزِعْنَآ أَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِن مَّحِيصٍۢ And when they appear for the One collectively, thus will say the weak for the ones who were flaunting their arrogance, [Certainly we were for you as disciples, thus are you going to help us against from punishment of the One of a thing?] Their reply, [If guided us the One, we would have guided you; same is upon us whether we are anxious or we persevere, not for us is of a refuge.]

They all come forth unto their Lord. Then those who were despised say unto those who were scornful: We were unto you a following, can ye then avert from us aught of Allah's doom? They say: Had Allah guided us, we should have guided you. Whether we rage or patiently endure is (now) all one for us; we have no place of refuge. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Together they will be presented before Allah. Then those who were weak will say to the arrogant [leaders], [Indeed we were your followers. So will you avail us against Allah]s punishment in any wise?] They will say, [Had Allah guided us, surely we would have guided you. (On the Day of Judgment) everyone will appear before God and those who have been suppressed will say to their oppressors, [We were your followers, can you do anything to rescue us from the torment of God?] They will reply, [Had God guided us, we would also have guided you. It makes no difference whether we cry for help or exercise patience; there is no escape for us.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور قیامت کے دن سب اللہ کے سامنے حاضر ہوں گے تو کمزور لوگ مستکبرین سے کہیں گے کہ ہم تو آپ کے پیروکار تھے تو کیا آپ عذاب الٰہی کے مقابلہ میں ہمارے کچھ کام آسکتے ہیں تو وہ جواب دیں گے کہ اگر خدا ہمیں ہدایت دے دیتا تو ہم بھی تمہیں ہدایت دے دیتے -اب تو ہمارے لئے سب ہی برابر ہے چاہے فریاد کریں یا صبر کریں کہ اب کوئی چھٹکارا ملنے والا نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور یہ لوگ جب اکٹھے اللہ کے سامنے بے نقاب ہوں گے تو اُس وقت اِن میں سے جو دنیا میں کمزور تھے و ہ اُن لوگوں سے جو بڑے بنے ہوئے تھے، کہیں گے ——دنیا میں ہم تمہارے تابع تھے، اب کیا تم اللہ کے عذاب سے ہم کو بچانے کے لیے بھی کچھ کرسکتے ہو؟——وہ جواب دیں گے ——اگر اللہ نے ہمیں نجات کی کوئی راہ دکھائی ہوتی تو ہم ضرور تمہیں بھی دکھا دیتے اب تو یکساں ہے، خواہ ہم جزع فزع کریں یا صبر، بہرحال ہمارے بچنے کی کوئی صورت نہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور سب اللہ کے حضور اعلانیہ حاضر ہوں گے تو جو کمزور تھے بڑائی والوں سے کہیں گے ہم تمہارے تابع تھے کیا تم سے ہوسکتا ہے کہ اللہ کے عذاب میں سے کچھ ہم پر سے ٹال دو کہیں گے اللہ ہمیں ہدایت کرتا تو ہم تمہیں کرتے ہم پر ایک سا ہے چاہے بے قراری کریں یا صبر سے رہیں ہمیں کہیں پناہ نہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور (قیامت کے دن) وہ سب ایک ساتھ اللہ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوں گے۔ تو جو کمزور (پیروکار) ہوں گے وہ ان سے کہیں گے جو بڑے (سردار) بنے ہوئے تھے کہ ہم تو (زندگی بھر) تمہارے پیروکار تھے تو تم آج ہمیں اللہ کے عذاب سے کچھ بچا سکتے ہو؟ وہ (بڑے) کہیں گے اگر اللہ ہمیں ہدایت دیتا تو ہم بھی تمہیں ہدایت دیتے اب ہمارے لئے برابر ہے جزع فزع کریں یا صبر کریں۔ آج ہمارے لئے چھٹکارا حاصل کرنے کی کوئی سبیل نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And will say
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the mindless religious devil
لَمَّا
for when is
قُضِىَ
decided
ٱلْأَمْرُ
the command,
إِنَّ
[Surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
وَعَدَكُمْ
promised you all
وَعْدَ
a pledge of
ٱلْحَقِّ
the fact,
وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ
while I promised you
فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ
then went against you;
ۖ
وَمَا
and not
كَانَ
was
لِىَ
for me
عَلَيْكُم
upon you all
مِّن
from
سُلْطَٰنٍ
any authority
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
دَعَوْتُكُمْ
I called you
فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ
thus you responded
لِى
for me;
ۖ
فَلَا
thus do not
تَلُومُونِى
blame me
وَلُومُوٓا۟
and blame
أَنفُسَكُم
your own psyches;
ۖ
مَّآ
neither
أَنَا۠
I am
بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ
with screams upon you
وَمَآ
nor
أَنتُم
you are
بِمُصْرِخِىَّ
with screams upon me;
ۖ
إِنِّى
certainly
كَفَرْتُ
I deny
بِمَآ
regarding what
أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ
you were associating with
مِن
of
قَبْلُ
previously;
ۗ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness,
لَهُمْ
for them is
عَذَابٌ
a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ
that is dire.]
١٤
٢٢
وَقَالَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّآ أَن دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْ لِى ۖ فَلَا تَلُومُونِى وَلُومُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُم ۖ مَّآ أَنَا۠ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُصْرِخِىَّ ۖ إِنِّى كَفَرْتُ بِمَآ أَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِن قَبْلُ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ And will say the mindless religious devil for when is decided the command, [Surely the One promised you all a pledge of the fact, while I promised you then went against you; and not was for me upon you all from any authority except that I called you thus you responded for me; thus do not blame me and blame your own psyches; neither I am with screams upon you nor you are with screams upon me; certainly I deny regarding what you were associating with of previously; surely the people in darkness, for them is a punishment that is dire.]

And Satan saith, when the matter hath been decided: Lo! Allah promised you a promise of truth; and I promised you, then failed you. And I had no power over you save that I called unto you and ye obeyed me. So blame not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can ye help me, Lo! I disbelieved in that which ye before ascribed to me. Lo! for wrong-doers is a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When the matter is all over, Satan will say, [Indeed Allah made you a promise that was true and I [too] made you a promise, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot respond to your distress calls, neither can you respond to my distress calls. Indeed I disavow your taking me for [Allah]s] partner aforetime. There is indeed a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the decree of God is issued, satan will say, [God's promise to you was true, but I, too, made a promise to you and disregarded it. I had no authority over you. I just called you and you answered. Do not blame me but blame yourselves. I cannot help you and you cannot help me. I did not agree with your belief that I was equal to God.] The unjust will face a painful punishment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And the Shaitan shall say after the affair is decided: Surely Allah promised you the promise of truth, and I gave you promises, then failed to keep them to you, and I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you obeyed me, therefore do not blame me but blame yourselves: I cannot be your aider (now) nor can you be my aiders; surely I disbelieved in your associating me with Allah before; surely it is the unjust that shall have the painful punishment. - Shakir, Habib

When the Judgement has been passed, Satan will say to them, [God made you a true promise; I too made you promises, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you and you responded to me. Do not now blame me, but blame yourselves! I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I reject your former act in associating me with God.] The wrongdoers will have a painful punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور شیطان تمام امور کا فیصلہ ہوجانے کے بعد کہے گا کہ اللہ نے تم سے بالکل برحق وعدہ کیا تھا اور میں نے بھی ایک وعدہ کیا تھا پھر میں نے اپنے وعدہ کی مخالفت کی اور میرا تمہارے اوپر کوئی زور بھی نہیں تھا سوائے اس کے کہ میں نے تمہیں دعوت دی اور تم نے اسے قبول کرلیا تو اب تم میری ملامت نہ کرو بلکہ اپنے نفس کی ملامت کرو کہ نہ میں تمہاری فریاد رسی کرسکتا ہوں نہ تم میری فریاد کو پہنچ سکتے ہو میں تو پہلے ہی سے اس بات سے بیزار ہوں کہ تم نے مجھے اس کا شریک بنا دیا اور بیشک ظالمین کے لئے بہت بڑا دردناک عذاب ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب فیصلہ چکا دیا جائے گا تو شیطان کہے گا ——حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے جو وعدے تم سے کیے تھے و ہ سب سچے تھے اور میں نے جتنے وعدے کیے ان میں سے کوئی بھی پورا نہ کیا میرا تم پر کوئی زور تو تھا نہیں، میں نے اِس کے سوا کچھ نہیں کیا کہ اپنے راستے کی طرف تمہیں دعوت دی اور تم نے میری دعوت پر لبیک کہا اب مجھے ملامت نہ کرو، اپنے آپ ہی کو ملامت کرو یہاں نہ میں تمہاری فریاد رسی کر سکتا ہوں اور نہ تم میر ی اس سے پہلے جو تم نے مجھے خدائی میں شریک بنا رکھا تھا میں اس سے بری الذمہ ہوں، ایسے ظالموں کے لیے درد ناک سزا یقینی ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور شیطان کہے گا جب فیصلہ ہوچکے گا بیشک اللہ نے تم کو سچا وعدہ دیا تھا اور میں نے جو تم کو وعدہ دیا تھا وہ میں نے تم سے جھوٹا کیا اور میرا تم پر کچھ قابو نہ تھا مگر یہی کہ میں نے تم کو بلایا تم نے میری مان لی تو اب مجھ پر الزام نہ رکھو خود اپنے اوپر الزام رکھو نہ میں تمہاری فریاد کو پہنچ سکوں نہ تم میری فریاد کو پہنچ سکو، وہ جو پہلے تم نے مجھے شریک ٹھہرایا تھا میں اس سے سخت بیزار ہوں، بیشک ظالموں کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور جب (ہر قسم کا) فیصلہ ہو جائے گا تو اس وقت شیطان کہے گا کہ بے شک اللہ نے تم سے جو وعدہ کیا تھا وہ سچا تھا اور میں نے بھی تم سے وعدہ کیا تھا مگر میں نے تم سے وعدہ خلافی کی اور مجھے تم پر کوئی تسلط (زور) تو تھا نہیں سوائے اس کے کہ میں نے تمہیں (کفر اور گناہ کی) دعوت دی اور تم نے میری دعوت قبول کر لی پس تم مجھے ملامت نہ کرو (بلکہ) خود اپنے آپ کو ملامت کرو (آج) نہ میں تمہاری فریاد رسی کر سکتا ہوں۔ اور نہ تم میری فریاد رسی کر سکتے ہو اس سے پہلے (دنیا میں) جو تم نے مجھے (خدا کا) شریک بنایا تھا میں اس سے بیزار ہوں بے شک ظالموں کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And I will enter
ٱلَّذِينَ

ءَامَنُوا۟
had conviction
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and worked
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
the constructive things
جَنَّٰتٍۢ
into gardens,
تَجْرِى
flowing
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
under them
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
the rivers,
خَٰلِدِينَ
eternalized
فِيهَا
therein
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb;
ۖ
تَحِيَّتُهُمْ
alive
فِيهَا
therein
سَلَٰمٌ
securely.
١٤
٢٣
وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ And I will enter the ones who had conviction and worked the constructive things into gardens, flowing from under them the rivers, eternalized therein by command of their Rabb; alive therein securely.

And those who believed and did good works are made to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein abiding by permission of their Lord, their greeting therein: Peace! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who have faith and do righteous deeds will be admitted into gardens with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], by the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be [Peace!] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The righteously striving believers will be admitted to the gardens wherein streams flow and they will live therein forever, by the permission of their Lord. Their greeting to each other will be, [Peace be with you.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And those who believe and do good are made to enter gardens, beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them by their Lord's permission; their greeting therein is, Peace. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
But those who believed and did good deeds will be brought into Gardens with rivers flowing through them. They shall abide there forever by their Lord's permission, and will be welcomed with the greeting, [Peace!]! - Wahiduddin Khan

اور صاحبان ه ایمان و عمل صالح کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کیا جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گے وہ ہمیشہ حکم خدا سے وہیں رہیں گے اور ان کی ملاقات کا تحفہ سلام ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

بخلاف اس کے جو لوگ دنیا میں ایمان لائے ہیں اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کیے ہیں وہ ایسے باغوں میں داخل کیے جائیں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی وہاں وہ اپنے رب کے اذن سے ہمیشہ رہیں گے، اور وہاں ان کا استقبال سلامتی کی مبارک باد سے ہوگا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے وہ باغوں میں داخل کیے جائیں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں اپنے رب کے حکم سے، اس میں ان کے ملتے وقت کا اکرام سلام ہے - Ahmed Raza

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا كَلِمَةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ كَشَجَرَةٍۢ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌۭ وَفَرْعُهَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ Do not you see how puts forth the One a simile of a speech that is good as a tree that is good, its roots stand firm, and it reaches up in the sky?

may recall it.

تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ It produces its fruit at all times by command of its Rabb; and puts forth the One the examples for the people that perhaps they may recall it.

Giving its fruit at every season by permission of its Lord? Allah coineth the similitudes for mankind in order that they may reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

ٱلدُّنْيَا

وَفِى

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth coming;
ۖ
وَيُضِلُّ
and misguides
ٱللَّهُ
the One
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness;
ۚ
وَيَفْعَلُ
and does
ٱللَّهُ
the One
مَا
what
يَشَآءُ
He desires.
١٤
٢٧
يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ۚ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ Makes firm the One, the ones who have conviction through the speech of the affirmation in the life of this World and the forth coming; and misguides the One the people in darkness; and does the One what He desires.

Allah confirmeth those who believe by a firm saying in the life of the world and in the Hereafter, and Allah sendeth wrong-doers astray. And Allah doeth what He will. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah fortifies those who have faith with a constant creed in the life of this world and in the Hereafter, and Allah leads astray the wrongdoers, and Allah does whatever He wishes. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God strengthens the faith of the believers by the true Words in this world and in the life to come. He causes the unjust to go astray and does whatever He pleases. - Sarwar, Muhammad

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ كُفْرًۭا وَأَحَلُّوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ ٱلْبَوَارِ Do not you see at the ones who replaced favour of the One being deniers, and they allowed upon their respective nations a dwelling in the wild.

Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Hell is
يَصْلَوْنَهَا
enjoined upon them;

and miserable is
ٱلْقَرَارُ
that as a resting place.
Hell is enjoined upon them; and miserable is that as a resting place.

His path.

قُلْ
Say,
تَمَتَّعُوا۟
[Enjoy,
فَإِنَّ
thus it is that
مَصِيرَكُمْ
your final place is
إِلَى
at
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire.]

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًۭا لِّيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ ۗ قُلْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَإِنَّ مَصِيرَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ And they put up for the One rivalries to misguide from His path. Say, [Enjoy, thus it is that your final place is at the fire.]

And they set up rivals to Allah that they may mislead (men) from His way. Say: Enjoy life (while ye may) for lo! your journey's end will be the Fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They have set up equals to Allah, to lead [people] astray from His way. Say, [Enjoy [for a while], for indeed your destination is hellfire!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

To lead people astray, they claimed their idols were equal to God. (Muhammad), tell them, [Enjoy yourselves and know that the only place for you to go will be hell fire.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they set up equals with Allah that they may lead (people) astray from His path. Say: Enjoy yourselves, for surely your return is to the fire. - Shakir, Habib

They have set up rivals to God to lead people away from His path. Say, [Enjoy yourselves awhile: you will then proceed to the Fire.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے لئے مثل قرار دیئے تاکہ اس کے ذریعہ لوگوں کو بہکا سکیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تھوڑے دن اور مزے کرلو پھر تو تمہارا انجام جہّنم ہی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اللہ کے کچھ ہمسر تجویز کر لیے تاکہ وہ انہیں اللہ کے راستے سے بھٹکا دیں اِن سے کہو، اچھا مزے کر لو، آخرکار تمہیں پلٹ کر جانا دوزخ ہی میں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Say
لِّعِبَادِىَ
to My servants
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
have conviction to
يُقِيمُوا۟
establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the Order,
وَيُنفِقُوا۟
and channelize
مِمَّا
from what
رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
sustenance We give to them,
سِرًّۭا
privately
وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ
and openly,
مِّن
from
قَبْلِ
before
أَن
that
يَأْتِىَ
comes
يَوْمٌۭ
a day,
لَّا
no
بَيْعٌۭ
merchandising will be
فِيهِ
in it,
وَلَا
and no
خِلَٰلٌ
interruption.
١٤
٣١
قُل لِّعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌۭ لَّا بَيْعٌۭ فِيهِ وَلَا خِلَٰلٌ Say to My servants the ones who have conviction to establish the Order, and channelize from what sustenance We give to them, privately and openly, from before that comes a day, no merchandising will be in it, and no interruption.

Tell My bondmen who believe to establish worship and spend of that which We have given them, secretly and publicly, before a day cometh wherein there will be neither traffick nor befriending. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Tell My servants who have faith to maintain the prayer and to spend out of what We have provided them with, secretly and openly, before there comes a day on which there will be neither any bargaining nor friendship. - Qarai, Ali Quli

ٱللَّهُ
The One is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who
خَلَقَ
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the land,
وَأَنزَلَ
and sent down
مِنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the heaven
مَآءًۭ
basic essence,
فَأَخْرَجَ
then brought out
بِهِۦ
by it
مِنَ
of
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
the fruits,
رِزْقًۭا
a sustenance
لَّكُمْ
for you all;
ۖ
وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the ship
لِتَجْرِىَ
for floating
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea
بِأَمْرِهِۦ
by His command;
ۖ
وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
the rivers.
١٤
٣٢
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًۭا لَّكُمْ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِىَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ The One is the Entity who created the atmospheres and the land, and sent down from the heaven basic essence, then brought out by it of the fruits, a sustenance for you all; and subjugated for you the ship for floating in the sea by His command; and subjugated for you the rivers.

Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth, and causeth water to descend from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you, and maketh the ships to be of service unto you, that they may run upon the sea at His command, and hath made of service unto you the rivers; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down water from the sky and with it He brings forth crops for your sustenance. And He disposed the ships for you[r benefit] so that they may sail at sea by His command, and He disposed the rivers for you. - Qarai, Ali Quli

as two energons;

وَسَخَّرَ
and subjugated
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلَّيْلَ
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
and the day-burst.
And subjugated for you the Sun and the Moon as two energons; and subjugated for you the night and the day-burst.

And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night and the day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He made the sun and moon, each following its course, and the day and the night all subservient to you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَءَاتَىٰكُم
And He has given you
مِّن
from
كُلِّ
all

سَأَلْتُمُوهُ
you ask of Him;
ۚ
وَإِن
and if
تَعُدُّوا۟
you were to calculate
نِعْمَتَ
favours of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
لَا
not
تُحْصُوهَآ
you will be able to count them;
ۗ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
the human
لَظَلُومٌۭ
can be injust
كَفَّارٌۭ
being a denier.
١٤
٣٤
وَءَاتَىٰكُم مِّن كُلِّ مَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُ ۚ وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَظَلُومٌۭ كَفَّارٌۭ And He has given you from all what you ask of Him; and if you were to calculate favours of the One, not you will be able to count them; surely the human can be injust being a denier.

And He giveth you of all ye ask of Him, and if ye would count the bounty of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! man is verily a wrong-doer, an ingrate. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and He gave you all that you had asked Him. If you enumerate Allah]s blessings, you will not be able to count them. Indeed man is most unfair and ungrateful! - Qarai, Ali Quli

He has given you everything that you asked Him for. Had you wanted to count the bounties of God, you would not have been able to do it. The human being is unjust and disbelieving. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful. - Shakir, Habib

He has given you all that you asked of Him; and if you try to reckon up God's favours, you will not be able to count them. Truly man is very unjust, very ungrateful. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جو کچھ تم نے مانگا اس میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ ضرور دیا اور اگر تم اس کی نعمتوں کو شمار کرنا چاہو گے تو ہرگز شمار نہیں کرسکتے -بیشک انسان بڑا ظالم اور انکار کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس نے وہ سب کچھ تمہیں دیا جو تم نے مانگا اگر تم اللہ کی نعمتوں کا شمار کرنا چاہو تو کر نہیں سکتے حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان بڑا ہی بے انصاف اور ناشکرا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہیں بہت کچھ منہ مانگا دیا، اور اگر اللہ کی نعمتیں گنو تو شمار نہ کرسکو گے، بیشک آدمی بڑا ظالم ناشکرا ہے - Ahmed Raza

And when
قَالَ
said
إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
Ibrahim,
رَبِّ
[Lord!
ٱجْعَلْ
Set
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْبَلَدَ
dwelling
ءَامِنًۭا
as peaceful,
وَٱجْنُبْنِى
and alienate me
وَبَنِىَّ
and my lineage
أَن
that
نَّعْبُدَ
we obey
ٱلْأَصْنَامَ
the idols.]
١٤
٣٥
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدَ ءَامِنًۭا وَٱجْنُبْنِى وَبَنِىَّ أَن نَّعْبُدَ ٱلْأَصْنَامَ And when said Ibrahim, [Lord! Set this dwelling as peaceful, and alienate me and my lineage that we obey the idols.]
⦿
And when Abraham said: My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving idols. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Abraham said, [My Lord! Make this city a sanctuary, and save me and my children from worshiping idols. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad), consider when Abraham prayed, [Lord, make this (Mecca) a peaceful territory and save me and my offspring from worshipping idols. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols: - Shakir, Habib
⦿
[Remember] when Abraham said, [My Lord, make this a city of peace and help me and my children to keep away from worshipping idols. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے کہا کہ پروردگار اس شہر کو محفوظ بنادے اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو بت پرستی سے بچائے رکھنا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو وہ وقت جب ابراہیمؑ نے دعا کی تھی کہ ——پروردگار، اِس شہر کو امن کا شہر بنا اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو بت پرستی سے بچا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے عرض کی اے میرے رب اس شہر کو امان والا کردے اور مجھے اور میرے بیٹوں کو بتوں کے پوجنے سے بچا - Ahmed Raza

إِنَّهُنَّ
Indeed they have
أَضْلَلْنَ
misled
كَثِيرًۭا
a many
مِّنَ
from
ٱلنَّاسِ
the populace;
ۖ
فَمَن
thus whoever
تَبِعَنِى
follows me
فَإِنَّهُۥ
then he is
مِنِّى
from me;
ۖ
وَمَنْ
and who
عَصَانِى
rebels against me,
فَإِنَّكَ
then You are
غَفُورٌۭ
forgiving,
رَّحِيمٌۭ
merciful.]
١٤
٣٦
رَبِّ إِنَّهُنَّ أَضْلَلْنَ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ فَمَن تَبِعَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنِّى ۖ وَمَنْ عَصَانِى فَإِنَّكَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ [Rabb! Indeed they have misled a many from the populace; thus whoever follows me then he is from me; and who rebels against me, then You are forgiving, merciful.]

My Lord! Lo! they have led many of mankind astray. But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeyeth me - Still Thou art Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

My Lord! Indeed they have misled many people. So whoever follows me indeed belongs to me, and as for those who disobey me, well, You are indeed all-forgiving, all-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Lord, the idols have misled many people. Whoever follows me is my friend. As for those who disobey, You are certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
My Lord! surely they have led many men astray; then whoever follows me, he is surely of me, and whoever disobeys me, Thou surely art Forgiving, Merciful: - Shakir, Habib

My Lord, they have led so many men astray! Anyone who follows me is with me, but if anyone turns against me, You are surely forgiving and merciful. - Wahiduddin Khan

پروردگار ان بتوں نے بہت سے لوگوں کو گمراہ کردیا ہے تو اب جو میرا اتباع کرے گا وہ مجھ سے ہوگا اور جو معصیت کرے گا اس کے لئے توِ بڑا بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پروردگار، اِن بتوں نے بہتوں کو گمراہی میں ڈالا ہے (ممکن ہے کہ میری اولاد کو بھی یہ گمراہ کر دیں، لہٰذا اُن میں سے) جو میرے طریقے پر چلے وہ میرا ہے اور جو میرے خلاف طریقہ اختیار کرے تو یقیناً تو درگزر کرنے والا مہربان ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

[Our Rabb!
إِنِّىٓ
I am
أَسْكَنتُ
inhabiting
مِن
from
ذُرِّيَّتِى
my lineage
بِوَادٍ
with a valley
غَيْرِ
without
ذِى
possessing
زَرْعٍ
a cultivation
عِندَ
in front of
بَيْتِكَ
Your charter of
ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ
the prohibitions,
رَبَّنَا
our Rabb,
لِيُقِيمُوا۟
for them to establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the Discipline,
فَٱجْعَلْ
thus make
أَفْـِٔدَةًۭ
feelings
مِّنَ
of
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
تَهْوِىٓ
incline
إِلَيْهِمْ
towards them,
وَٱرْزُقْهُم
and give them provisions
مِّنَ
from
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
the fruits
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
يَشْكُرُونَ
be thankful.]
١٤
٣٧
رَّبَّنَآ إِنِّىٓ أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِى بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِى زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَٱجْعَلْ أَفْـِٔدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ تَهْوِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ وَٱرْزُقْهُم مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ [Our Rabb! I am inhabiting from my lineage with a valley without possessing a cultivation in front of Your charter of the prohibitions, our Rabb, for them to establish the Discipline, thus make feelings of the people incline towards them, and give them provisions from the fruits so that they may be thankful.]

Our Lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy House, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they may be thankful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Our Lord! I have settled part of my descendants in a barren valley, by Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may maintain the prayer. So make the hearts of a part of the people fond of them, and provide them with fruits, so that they may give thanks. - Qarai, Ali Quli

پروردگار، میں نے ایک بے آب و گیاہ وادی میں اپنی اولاد کے ایک حصے کو تیرے محترم گھر کے پاس لا بسایا ہے پروردگار، یہ میں نے اس لیے کیا ہے کہ یہ لوگ یہاں نماز قائم کریں، لہٰذا تو لوگوں کے دلوں کو اِن کا مشتاق بنا اور انہیں کھانے کو پھل دے، شاید کہ یہ شکر گزار بنیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے میرے رب میں نے اپنی کچھ اولاد ایک نالے میں بسائی جس میں کھیتی نہیں ہوتی تیرے حرمت والے گھر کے پاس اے میرے رب اس لیے کہ وہ نماز قائم رکھیں تو تو لوگوں کے کچھ دل ان کی طرف مائل کردے اور انہیں کچھ پھل کھانے کو دے شاید وہ احسان مانیں، - Ahmed Raza

اے ہمارے پروردگار میں نے اپنی کچھ اولاد کو تیرے محترم گھر کے پاس بے زراعت میدان میں آباد کیا ہے اے ہمارے مالک تاکہ (وہ یہاں) نماز قائم کریں اب تو کچھ لوگوں کے دلوں کو ایسا کر دے کہ وہ ان کی طرف مائل ہوں اور ان کو پھلوں سے رزق عطا فرما تاکہ وہ (تیرا) شکر ادا کریں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Our Rabb!

we hide

وَمَا
and not
يَخْفَىٰ
is hidden
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مِن
of
شَىْءٍۢ
a thing
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
وَلَا
and not
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky.]
١٤
٣٨
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ ۗ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ Our Rabb! Indeed You are knowing of what we hide and what we disclose; and not is hidden upon the One of a thing in the land and not in the sky.]

Our Lord! Lo! Thou knowest that which we hide and that which we proclaim. Nothing in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[All the power and praise is
لِلَّهِ
for the One,
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who
وَهَبَ
granted
لِى
to me
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْكِبَرِ
the old age:
إِسْمَٰعِيلَ
Isma'eel
وَإِسْحَٰقَ
and Ishaaq;
ۚ
إِنَّ
assuredly
رَبِّى
my Rabb
لَسَمِيعُ
is hearing of
ٱلدُّعَآءِ
the call.]
١٤
٣٩
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى وَهَبَ لِى عَلَى ٱلْكِبَرِ إِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَسَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ [All the power and praise is for the One, the Entity who granted to me upon the old age: Isma'eel and Ishaaq; assuredly my Rabb is hearing of the call.]

Praise be to Allah Who hath given me, in my old age, Ishmael and Isaac! Lo! my Lord is indeed the Hearer of Prayer. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

All praise belongs to Allah, who gave me Ishmael and Isaac despite [my] old age. Indeed my Lord hears all supplications. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It is only God who deserves all praise. I praise Him for His giving me my sons Ishmael and Isaac during my old age. My Lord, certainly, hears all prayers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

ذُرِّيَّتِى
my lineage (to do the same);
ۚ
رَبَّنَا
our Rabb!
وَتَقَبَّلْ
Accept my
دُعَآءِ
call.]
[O Rabb! Make me to establish the Order, and (make) the ones from my lineage (to do the same); our Rabb! Accept my call.]

My Lord! Make me to establish proper worship, and some of my posterity (also); our Lord! and accept my prayer. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have pardon

for me
وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ
and my parents
وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
and for the ones of conviction
يَوْمَ
on day of
يَقُومُ
establishing
ٱلْحِسَابُ
the final calculation.]
[Our Rabb! Have pardon for me and my parents and for the ones of conviction on day of establishing the final calculation.]

يَعْمَلُ
doings of
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the ones in darkness.
ۚ
إِنَّمَا
indeed what it is that
يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ
He delays them
لِيَوْمٍۢ
for a day,
تَشْخَصُ
identifiable
فِيهِ
in which are
ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
the sights.
١٤
٤٢
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَٰفِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍۢ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ And do not accord the One as being inattentive over doings of the ones in darkness. indeed what it is that He delays them for a day, identifiable in which are the sights.

Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do. He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror), - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do not suppose that Allah is oblivious of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is only granting them respite until the day when the eyes will be glazed. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad), do not think that God is unaware of what the unjust people do. He only gives them a respite until the day when the eyes will stare fixedly, - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And do not think Allah to be heedless of what the unjust do; He only respites them to a day on which the eyes shall be fixedly open, - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Do not think God is unaware of the wrongdoers' actions. He only gives them respite till the Day on which all eyes will stare fixedly in horror. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور خبردار خدا کو ظالمین کے اعمال سے غافل نہ سمجھ لینا کہ وہ انہیں اس دن کے لئے مہلت دے رہا ہے جس دن آنکھیں خوف سے پتھرا جائیں گی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اب یہ ظالم لوگ جو کچھ کر رہے ہیں، اللہ کو تم اس سے غافل نہ سمجھو اللہ تو اِنہیں ٹال رہا ہے اُس دن کے لیے جب حال یہ ہوگا کہ آنکھیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ گئی ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہرگز اللہ کو بےخبر نہ جاننا ظالموں کے کام سے انہیں ڈھیل نہیں دے رہا ہے مگر ایسے دن کے لیے جس میں - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول(ص)) جو کچھ (یہ) ظالم لوگ کر رہے ہیں تم اللہ کو اس سے غافل نہ سمجھو۔ وہ تو انہیں اس دن کے لئے مہلت دے رہا ہے جس میں (شدتِ خوف و حیرت سے) آنکھیں کھلی کی کھلی رہ جائیں گی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ
and their feelings
هَوَآءٌۭ
freaking out.

مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِى رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ ۖ وَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ هَوَآءٌۭ Rushing forward, being controlled by their heads, not answering back to them their limbs; and their feelings freaking out.

As they come hurrying on in fear, their heads upraised, their gaze returning not to them, and their hearts as air. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And warn
ٱلنَّاسَ
the populace of
يَوْمَ
a day when
يَأْتِيهِمُ
comes to them
ٱلْعَذَابُ
the punishment,
فَيَقُولُ
then will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ظَلَمُوا۟
are in darkness,
رَبَّنَآ
[Our Rabb!
أَخِّرْنَآ
Postpone us
إِلَىٰٓ
towards
أَجَلٍۢ
a time
قَرِيبٍۢ
nearby,
نُّجِبْ
we will respond to
دَعْوَتَكَ
Your call
وَنَتَّبِعِ
and we will obey
ٱلرُّسُلَ
the Message.]
ۗ
أَوَلَمْ
(Reply would be), [Was it not that
تَكُونُوٓا۟
you had
أَقْسَمْتُم
promised that,
مِّن
from
قَبْلُ
before
مَا
what was
لَكُم
for you
مِّن
of
زَوَالٍۢ
downfall?]
١٤
٤٤
وَأَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَخِّرْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ قَرِيبٍۢ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ ٱلرُّسُلَ ۗ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍۢ And warn the populace of a day when comes to them the punishment, then will say the ones who are in darkness, [Our Rabb! Postpone us towards a time nearby, we will respond to Your call and we will obey the Message.] (Reply would be), [Was it not that you had promised that, from before what was for you of downfall?]

And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, [Our Lord! Respite us for a short time so that we may respond to Your call and follow the apostles.] [They will be told,] [Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you, - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), warn the people of the day when torment will approach them and the unjust will say, [Lord, give us respite for a little time so that we may answer your call and follow the Messengers.] (The answer to their prayer will be), [Did you not swear before that you would never perish? - Sarwar, Muhammad

And warn people of the day when the chastisement shall come to them, then those who were unjust will say: O our Lord! respite us to a near term, (so) we shall respond to Thy call and follow the apostles. What! did you not swear before (that) there will be no passing away for you! - Shakir, Habib

Warn men of the Day when the punishment will come upon them, and when the wrongdoers will say, [Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while. We will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers.] [But God will answer], are you not those who swore that you would never suffer any decline? - Wahiduddin Khan

اور آپ لوگوں کو اس دن سے ڈرائیں جس دن ان تک عذاب آجائے گا تو ظالمین کہیں گے کہ پروردگار ہمیں تھوڑی مدّت کے لئے پلٹا دے کہ ہم تیری دعوت کو قبول کرلیں اور تیرے رسولوں کا اتباع کرلیں تو جواب ملے گا کہ کیا تم نے اس سے پہلے قسم نہیں کھائی تھی کہ تمہیں کسی طرح کا زوال نہ ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، اُس دن سے تم اِنہیں ڈراؤ جبکہ عذاب اِنہیں آلے گا اُس وقت یہ ظالم کہیں گے کہ ——اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں تھوڑی سی مہلت اور دے دے، ہم تیری دعوت کو لبیک کہیں گے اور رسولوں کی پیروی کریں گے—— (مگر انہیں صاف جواب دے دیا جائے گا کہ) کیا تم وہی لوگ نہیں ہو جو اِس سے پہلے قسمیں کھا کھا کر کہتے تھے کہ ہم پر تو کبھی زوال آنا ہی نہیں ہے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَتَبَيَّنَ
and will become clear
لَكُمْ
for you
كَيْفَ
how
فَعَلْنَا
We did
بِهِمْ
regarding them,
وَضَرَبْنَا
and We set forth
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
the examples.
١٤
٤٥
وَسَكَنتُمْ فِى مَسَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ فَعَلْنَا بِهِمْ وَضَرَبْنَا لَكُمُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ And you will live in places of the ones who did wrong to their psyches, and will become clear for you how We did regarding them, and We set forth for you the examples.

And (have ye not) dwelt in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves (of old) and (hath it not) become plain to you how We dealt with them and made examples for you? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

while you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves [before], and it had been made clear to you how We had dealt with them [before you], and We had [also] cited examples for you?] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, even though it was made clear to you how We dealt with them. We also showed you examples.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And you dwell in the abodes of those who were unjust to themselves, and it is clear to you how We dealt with them and We have made (them) examples to you. - Shakir, Habib

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it was made clear to you how We had dealt with them and We gave you many examples. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور تم تو ان ہی لوگوں کے مکانات میں ساکن تھے جنہوں نے اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا تھا اور تم پر واضح تھا کہ ہم نے ان کے ساتھ کیا برتاؤ کیا ہے اور ہم نے تمہارے لئے مثالیں بھی بیان کردی تھیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And certainly
مَكَرُوا۟
deceived
مَكْرَهُمْ
them their deception,

ٱللَّهِ
the One are
مَكْرُهُمْ
their plans,
وَإِن
and even if
كَانَ
was
مَكْرُهُمْ
their plan
لِتَزُولَ
to make disappear
مِنْهُ
from it
ٱلْجِبَالُ
the mountains.
١٤
٤٦
وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ ٱلْجِبَالُ And certainly deceived them their deception, and near the One are their plans, and even if was their plan to make disappear from it the mountains.

Verily they have plotted their plot, and their plot is with Allah, though their plot were one whereby the mountains should be moved. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They certainly devised their plots, but their plots are known to Allah, and their plots are not such as to dislodge the mountains. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They devised evil plans which were so sinful that even the mountains could not endure them. All these were known to God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they have indeed planned their plan, but their plan is with Allah, though their plan was such that the mountains should pass away thereby. - Shakir, Habib

They hatched their plots; but these plots were all within God's knowledge. Though their plots were such as to shake the mountains, God will bring their plots to nothing. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ان لوگوں نے اپنا سارا مکر صرف کردیا اور خدا کی نگاہ میں ان کا سارا مکر ہے اگرچہ ان کا مکر ایسا تھا کہ اس سے پہاڑ بھی اپنی جگہ سے ہٹ جائیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے اپنی ساری ہی چالیں چل دیکھیں، مگر اُن کی ہر چال کا توڑ اللہ کے پاس تھا اگرچہ اُن کی چالیں ایسی غضب کی تھیں کہ پہاڑ اُن سے ٹل جائیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بیشک وہ اپنا سا داؤں (فریب) چلے اور ان کا داؤں اللہ کے قابو میں ہے، اور ان کا داؤں کچھ ایسانہ تھا جس سے یہ پہاڑ ٹل جائیں - Ahmed Raza

اور انہوں نے اپنی ساری تدبیریں کیں (اور چالیں چلیں) اور اللہ کے پاس ان کی ہر تدبیر اور چال (کا جواب) ہے اگرچہ ان کی تدبیریں و ترکیبیں ایسی تھیں کہ ان سے پہاڑ بھی اپنی جگہ سے ہٹ جائیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Thus do not
تَحْسَبَنَّ
accord
ٱللَّهَ
the One to
مُخْلِفَ
change
وَعْدِهِۦ
His promise to
رُسُلَهُۥٓ
His messengers;
ۗ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
عَزِيزٌۭ
reinforced
ذُو
possessor of
ٱنتِقَامٍۢ
vengeance.
Thus do not accord the One to change His promise to His messengers; surely the One is reinforced possessor of vengeance.
⦿
So think not that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So do not suppose that Allah will break His promise to His apostles. Indeed Allah is all-mighty, avenger. - Qarai, Ali Quli

You must not even think that God will disregard His promise to His messengers. God is Majestic and Revengeful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Therefore do not think Allah (to be one) failing in His promise to His apostles; surely Allah is Mighty, the Lord of Retribution. - Shakir, Habib

Never think that God will fail in His promise to His messengers. God is mighty and capable of retribution. - Wahiduddin Khan

تو خبردار تم یہ خیال بھی نہ کرنا کہ خدا اپنے رسولوں سے کئے ہوئے وعدہ کی خلاف ورزی کرے گا اللہ سب پر غالب اور بڑا انتقام لینے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پس اے نبیؐ، تم ہرگز یہ گمان نہ کرو کہ اللہ کبھی اپنے رسولوں سے کیے ہوئے وعدوں کے خلاف کرے گا اللہ زبردست ہے اور انتقام لینے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو ہر گز خیال نہ کرنا کہ اللہ اپنے رسولوں سے وعدہ خلاف کرے گا بیشک اللہ غالب ہے بدلہ لینے والا، - Ahmed Raza

وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
and the heavens (as well);
ۖ
وَبَرَزُوا۟
and they will appear
لِلَّهِ
for the One,
ٱلْوَٰحِدِ
the Singular,
ٱلْقَهَّارِ
the Subjugator.
١٤
٤٨
يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ ٱلْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ ۖ وَبَرَزُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَٰحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ A day when will replace the land to other than the land, and the heavens (as well); and they will appear for the One, the Singular, the Subjugator.

On the day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens (also will be changed) and they will come forth unto Allah, the One, the Almighty, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day when the earth is turned into another earth and the heavens [as well], and they are presented before Allah, the One, the All-paramount - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when the earth and the heavens will be replaced by another earth and heavens and everyone will be brought before the One Almighty God, - Sarwar, Muhammad

On the day when the earth shall be changed into a different earth, and the heavens (as well), and they shall come forth before Allah, the One, the Supreme. - Shakir, Habib

On the Day when the earth shall be changed into another earth, as shall be the heavens, they will all appear before God, the One, the Most Supreme. - Wahiduddin Khan

اس دن جب زمین دوسری زمین میں تبدیل ہوجائے گی اور آسمان بھی بدل دیئے جائیں گے اور سب خدائے واحد و قہار کے سامنے پیش ہوں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ڈراؤ اِنہیں اُس دن سے جبکہ زمین اور آسمان بدل کر کچھ سے کچھ کر دیے جائیں گے اور سب کے سب اللہ واحد قہار کے سامنے بے نقاب حاضر ہو جائیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جس دن بدل دی جائے گی زمین اس زمین کے سوا اور آسمان اور لوگ سب نکل کھڑے ہوں گے ایک اللہکے سامنے جو سب پر غالب ہے - Ahmed Raza

And you will see
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
the criminals
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
on that day
مُّقَرَّنِينَ
bound
فِى
in
ٱلْأَصْفَادِ
the shackles.
And you will see the criminals on that day bound in the shackles.

Thou wilt see the guilty on that day linked together in chains, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور اس دن تم مجرموں کو دیکھو گے کہ بیڑیوں میں ایک دوسرے سے جڑے ہوں گے - Ahmed Raza

سَرَابِيلُهُم
Their garments
مِّن

قَطِرَانٍۢ
tar,
وَتَغْشَىٰ
and covering
وُجُوهَهُمُ
their faces is
ٱلنَّارُ
the fire.
Their garments of tar, and covering their faces is the fire.

لِيَجْزِىَ
For, rewards
ٱللَّهُ
the One
كُلَّ
every
نَفْسٍۢ
psyche
مَّا
what
كَسَبَتْ
it earned;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
سَرِيعُ
swift of
ٱلْحِسَابِ
the calculation.
For, rewards the One every psyche what it earned; surely the One is swift of the calculation.

That Allah may repay each soul what it hath earned. Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

so that Allah may reward every soul for what it has earned. Indeed Allah is swift at reckoning. - Qarai, Ali Quli

This is how God will recompense each soul for its deeds. God's reckoning is swift. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اس لیے کہ اللہ ہر جان کو اس کی کمائی کا بدلہ دے، بیشک اللہ کو حساب کرتے کچھ دیر نہیں لگتی، - Ahmed Raza

This is
بَلَٰغٌۭ
a notification
لِّلنَّاسِ
for the people
وَلِيُنذَرُوا۟
and for giving a warning
بِهِۦ
with it,
وَلِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟
and for them to know
أَنَّمَا
that certainly
هُوَ
He is
إِلَٰهٌۭ
an unchallenged master
وَٰحِدٌۭ
all alone,
وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ
and for reminding
أُو۟لُوا۟
foremost of
ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
the intellectual people.
١٤
٥٢
هَٰذَا بَلَٰغٌۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنذَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَلِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ This is a notification for the people and for giving a warning with it, and for them to know that certainly He is an unchallenged master all alone, and for reminding foremost of the intellectual people.

This is a clear message for mankind in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is only One Allah, and that men of understanding may take heed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

This is a proclamation for mankind, so that they may be warned thereby and know that He is indeed the One God, and those who possess intellect may take admonition. - Qarai, Ali Quli
