The Segregating Myths [ 2:2 ] البقرة

ذَٰلِكَ

That is

ٱلْكِتَٰبُ

the Book

لَا

رَيْبَ

doubt

فِيهِ

— is in it —

هُدًۭى

guidance

لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

for the aware ones.

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًۭى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

۝٢

That is the Book no doubt ° — is in it — ° guidance for the aware ones.

⦿

This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil).

The Segregating Myths [ 2:3 ] البقرة

ٱلَّذِينَ

The ones

يُؤْمِنُونَ

who are convinced

بِٱلْغَيْبِ

about the unseen

وَيُقِيمُونَ

and they establish

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

the unity (assembled discipline),

وَمِمَّا

and from whatever

رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ

sustenance We give to them

يُنفِقُونَ

they distribute.

ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

۝٣

The ones who are convinced about the unseen and they establish the unity (assembled discipline), and from whatever sustenance We give to them they distribute.

Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them;

who believe in the Unseen, maintain the prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;

the pious who believe in the unseen, attend to prayer, give in charity part of what We have granted them;

جو غیب پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں پابندی سے پورے اہتمام کے ساتھ نماز ادا کرتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے رزق دیا ہے اس میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ بھی کرتے ہیں

وہ جو بے دیکھے ایمان لائیں اور نماز قائم رکھیں اور ہماری دی ہوئی روزی میں سے ہماری میں اٹھائیں-

The Segregating Myths [ 2:4 ] البقرة

وَٱلَّذِينَ

And the ones who

يُؤْمِنُونَ

become convinced

بِمَآ

about what is

أُنزِلَ

being sent down

إِلَيْكَ

to you

وَمَآ

and what was

أُنزِلَ

sent down

مِن

from

قَبْلِكَ

before you,

وَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

and about the forth-coming

هُمْ

they

يُوقِنُونَ

are absolutely certain.

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

۝٤

And the ones who become convinced about what is being sent down to you and what was sent down from before you, and about the forth-coming they are absolutely certain.

⦿

And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter.

and who believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, and are certain of the Hereafter.

who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter.

وہ ان تمام باتوں پر بھی ایمان رکھتے ہیں جنہیں (اے رسول) ہم نے آپ پر نازل کیا ہے اور جو آپ سے پہلے نازل کی گئی ہیں اور آخرت پر بھی یقین رکھتے ہیں

اور وہ کہ ایمان لائیں اس پر جو اے محبوب تمہاری طرف اترا اور جو تم سے پہلے اترا اور آخرت پر یقین رکھیں،

The Segregating Myths [ 2:5 ] البقرة

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

They are

عَلَىٰ

هُدًۭى

guidance

مِّن

from

رَّبِّهِمْ

their Rabb,

وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

and they are

هُمُ

those

ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

who are successful.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًۭى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

۝٥

They are on guidance from their Rabb, ° and they are those who are successful.

⦿

These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.

Those follow their Lord]s guidance and it is they who are the felicitous.

It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness.

These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے ہدایت کے حامل ہیں اور فلاح یافتہ اور کامیاب ہیں

ایسے لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف سے راہ راست پر ہیں اور وہی فلاح پانے والے ہیں

وہی لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف سے ہدایت پر ہیں اور وہی مراد کو پہنچنے والے۔

یہی لوگ اپنے پروردگار کی ہدایت پر (قائم) ہیں اور یہی وہ ہیں جو (آخرت میں) فوز و فلاح پانے والے ہیں۔

The Segregating Myths [ 2:6 ] البقرة

إِنَّ

Surely

ٱلَّذِينَ

the ones who

كَفَرُوا۟

are in denial,

سَوَآءٌ

same is

عَلَيْهِمْ

for them

ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ

that they be warned

أَمْ

لَمْ

not

تُنذِرْهُمْ

you warn them,

لَا

will not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

they believe.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

۝٦

Surely the ones who are in denial, same is for them that they be warned or not you warn them, will not they believe.

⦿

As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not.

As for the faithless, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not have faith.

Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not

Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe.

As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe.

اے رسول! جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کرلیا ہے ان کے لئے سب برابر ہے. آپ انہیں ڈرائیں یا نہ ڈرائیں یہ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں

جن لوگوں نے (اِن باتوں کو تسلیم کرنے سے) انکار کر دیا، اُن کے لیے یکساں ہے، خواہ تم انہیں خبردار کرو یا نہ کرو، بہرحال وہ ماننے والے نہیں ہیں

بیشک وہ جن کی قسمت میں کفر ہے ا نہیں برابر ہے، چاہے تم انہیں ڈراؤ، یا نہ ڈراؤ، وہ ایمان لانے کے نہیں۔

(اے رسول) جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا۔ ان کے لیے برابر ہے۔ آپ انہیں ڈرائیں یا نہ ڈرائیں۔ بہرحال وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے۔

The Segregating Myths [ 2:7 ] البقرة

خَتَمَ

Has put seal,

ٱللَّهُ

the One,

عَلَىٰ

upon

قُلُوبِهِمْ

their hearts

وَعَلَىٰ

and on

سَمْعِهِمْ

their hearing,

وَعَلَىٰٓ

and over

أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ

their sights

غِشَٰوَةٌۭ

are coverings,

وَلَهُمْ

and for them

عَذَابٌ

a punishment of

عَظِيمٌۭ

a great magnitutde.

خَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبْصَٰرِهِمْ غِشَٰوَةٌۭ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

۝٧

Has put seal, the One, upon their hearts and on their hearing, ° and over their sights are coverings, ° and for them a punishment of a great magnitutde.

⦿

Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom.

Allah has set a seal on their hearts and their hearing, and there is a blindfold on their sight, and there is a great punishment for them.

God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them.

خدا نے ان کے دلوں اور کانوں پر گویا مہر لگا دی ہے کہ نہ کچھ سنتے ہیںاور نہ سمجھتے ہیں اور آنکھوں پر بھی پردے پڑ گئے ہیں. ان کے واسطےآخرت میں عذابِ عظیم ہے

اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر اور کانوں پر مہر کردی اور ان کی آنکھوں پر گھٹاٹوپ ہے، اور ان کے لئے بڑا عذاب،

خدا نے ان کے دلوں اور ان کے کانوں پر مہر لگا دی ہے اور ان کی آنکھوں پر پردہ پڑ گیا ہے۔ اور (آخرت میں) ان کے لیے بڑا عذاب ہے۔

The Segregating Myths [ 2:8 ] البقرة

وَمِنَ

And from

ٱلنَّاسِ

the people are

مَن

some who

يَقُولُ

say,

ءَامَنَّا

[I believe

بِٱللَّهِ

about the One,

وَبِٱلْيَوْمِ

and about the day

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ

that is to come],

وَمَا

but not

هُم

they are

بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

with the believers.

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَبِٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

۝٨

And from the people are some who say, [I believe about the One, and about the day that is to come], but not they are with the believers.

⦿

And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not.

Among the people are those who say, [We have faith in Allah and the Last Day,] but they have no faith.

Some people say, [We believe in God and the Day of Judgment,] but they are not true believers.

And there are some people who say: We believe in Allah and the last day; and they are not at all believers.

There are some who say, [We believe in God and the Last Day,] yet they are not believers.

کچھ لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو یہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم خدا اور آخرت پر ایمان لائے ہیں حالانکہ وہ صاحب ایمان نہیں ہیں

بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان لائے ہیں، حالانکہ در حقیقت وہ مومن نہیں ہیں

اور کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر ایمان لائے اور وہ ایمان والے نہیں،

The Segregating Myths [ 2:9 ] البقرة

يُخَٰدِعُونَ

They attempt to decieve

ٱللَّهَ

the One

وَٱلَّذِينَ

and the ones who

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe,

وَمَا

but not

يَخْدَعُونَ

it decieves

إِلَّآ

except

أَنفُسَهُمْ

their own selves

وَمَا

while not

يَشْعُرُونَ

it is realized by them.

يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

۝٩

They attempt to decieve the One and the ones who believe, but not it decieves except their own selves while not it is realized by them.

They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.

They seek to deceive Allah and those who have faith, yet they deceive no one but themselves, but they are not aware.

They deceive God and the believers. However, they have deceived no one but themselves, a fact of which they are not aware.

They desire to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive.

یہ خدا اور صاحبان ایمان کو دھوکہ دینا چاہتے ہیں حالانکہ اپنے ہی کو دھوکہ دے رہے ہیں اور سمجھتے بھی نہیں ہیں

وہ اللہ اور ایمان لانے والوں کے ساتھ دھوکہ بازی کر رہے ہیں، مگر دراصل وہ خود اپنے آپ ہی کو دھوکے میں ڈال رہے ہیں اور انہیں اس کا شعور نہیں ہے

فریب دیا چاہتے ہیں اللہ اور ایمان والوں کو اور حقیقت میں فریب نہیں دیتے مگر اپنی جانوں کو اور انہیں شعور نہیں۔

خدا اور اہل ایمان کو دھوکہ دے رہے ہیں حالانکہ وہ خود اپنے سوا کسی کو دھوکہ نہیں دیتے۔ مگر انہیں اس کا (احساس) نہیں ہے۔

The Segregating Myths [ 2:10 ] البقرة

فِى

قُلُوبِهِم

their hearts is

مَّرَضٌۭ

a disease

فَزَادَهُمُ

so increased their,

ٱللَّهُ

the One,

مَرَضًۭا

(their) sickness.

وَلَهُمْ

And for them

عَذَابٌ

a punishment that is

أَلِيمٌۢ

painful

بِمَا

about which

كَانُوا۟

they are

يَكْذِبُونَ

contradicting.

فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْذِبُونَ

۝١٠

In their hearts is a disease so increased their, the One, (their) sickness. ° And for them a punishment that is painful about which they are contradicting.

In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie.

There is a sickness in their hearts; then Allah increased their sickness, and there is a painful punishment for them because of the lies they used to tell.

A sickness exists in their hearts to which God adds more sickness. Besides this, they will suffer a painful punishment as a result of the lie which they speak.

ان کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے اور خدا نے نفاق کی بنا پر اسے اور بھی بڑھا دیا ہے. اب اس جھوٹ کے نتیجہ میں انہیں درد ناک عذاب ملے گا

ان کے دلوں میں ایک بیماری ہے جسے اللہ نے اور زیادہ بڑھا دیا، اور جو جھوٹ وہ بولتے ہیں، اس کی پاداش میں ان کے لیے درد ناک سزا ہے

ان کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے تو اللہ نے ان کی بیماری اور بڑھائی اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے، بدلا ان کے جھوٹ کا -

ان کے دلوں میں (نفاق) کی ایک بیماری ہے۔ سو اللہ نے ان کی بیماری اور بڑھا دی ہے اور ان کے (مسلسل) جھوٹ بولنے کی وجہ سے ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے۔
