أَلَمْ
Has not
يَأْتِكُمْ
come to you
نَبَؤُا۟
news of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones
مِن
from
قَبْلِكُمْ
before you,
قَوْمِ
people of
نُوحٍۢ
Nooh
وَعَادٍۢ
and 'Aad
وَثَمُودَ
and Thamud
ۛ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِمْ
after them?
ۛ
لَا
No one
يَعْلَمُهُمْ
remembers them
إِلَّا
except
ٱللَّهُ
the One;
ۚ
جَآءَتْهُمْ
when came to them
رُسُلُهُم
their messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
with the clarifications,
فَرَدُّوٓا۟
thus shoved
أَيْدِيَهُمْ
their hands
فِىٓ
in
أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
their mouths
وَقَالُوٓا۟
and they said,
إِنَّا
[Certainly
كَفَرْنَا
we deny
بِمَآ
with what
أُرْسِلْتُم
you are delivering
بِهِۦ
regarding it,
وَإِنَّا
and we
لَفِى
are in
شَكٍّۢ
doubt
مِّمَّا
however
تَدْعُونَنَآ
you are inviting us
إِلَيْهِ
to it,
مُرِيبٍۢ
being suspicious.]

أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٍۢ وَثَمُودَ ۛ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍۢ Has not come to you news of the ones from before you, people of Nooh and 'Aad and Thamud and the ones from after them? No one remembers them except the One; when came to them their messengers with the clarifications, thus shoved their hands in their mouths and they said, [Certainly we deny with what you are delivering regarding it, and we are in doubt however you are inviting us to it, being suspicious.]

Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you—the people of Noah, [Ad and Thamud, and those who were after them, whom no one knows [well] except Allah? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, [We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. Have you (believers) ever heard the news about those who lived before you, like the people of Noah, Ad, Thamud, and those who lived after them? No one knows about them except God. Messengers were sent to them with miracles, but they put their hands to their mouths and said, [We do not believe in whatever you preach and we are also doubtful and uncertain about that to which you invite us.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Has not the account reached you of those before you, of the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood, and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their apostles come to them with clear arguments, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: Surely we deny that with which you are sent, and most surely we are in serious doubt as to that to which you invite us. - Shakir, Habib

Has not news come to you concerning those who preceded you, such as Noah's people, and the 'Ad and Thamud, as well as those who came after them? Only God knows who they were. The messengers came to them with clear signs, but they put their hands to their mouths saying, [We deny the message you have been sent with. کیا تمہارے پاس اپنے سے پہلے والوں قوم نوح اور قوم عاد و ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد گزرے ہیں اور جنہیں خدا کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے کی خبر نہیں آئی ہے کہ ان کے پاس اللہ کے رسول معجزات لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے ان کے ہاتھوں کو ان ہی کے منہ کی طرف پلٹا دیا اور صاف کہہ دیا کہ ہم تمہارے لائے ہوئے پیغام کے منکر ہیں اور ہمیں اس بات کے بارے میں واضح شک ہے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دے رہے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تمہیں اُن قوموں کے حالات نہیں پہنچے جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں؟ قوم نوحؑ، عاد، ثمود اور اُن کے بعد آنے والی بہت سی قومیں جن کا شمار اللہ ہی کو معلوم ہے؟ اُن کے رسول جب اُن کے پاس صاف صاف باتیں اور کھلی کھلی نشانیاں لیے ہوئے آئے تو اُنہوں نے اپنے منہ میں ہاتھ دبا لیے اور کہا کہ ——جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کو نہیں مانتے اور جس چیز کی تم ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو اُس کی طرف سے ہم سخت خلجان آمیز شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا تمہیں ان کی خبریں نہ آئیں جو تم سے پہلے تھی نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ ہی جانے ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے تو وہ اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ کی طرف لے گئے اور بولے ہم منکر ہیں اس کے جو تمہارے ہاتھ بھیجا گیا اور جس راہ کی طرف ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس میں ہمیں وہ شک ہے کہ بات کھلنے نہیں دیتا، - Ahmed Raza

کیا تمہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکے (یعنی) قومِ نوح(ع) اور عاد و ثمود(ع) اور وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوئے ہیں جنہیں اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ جب ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں (معجزے) لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ میں دبا لئے اور کہا کہ جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور تم جس (دین) کی طرف ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو ہم اس کی طرف سے تردد آمیز شک میں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
