قَالَ
(The One) said,
يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
[O Adam!
أَنۢبِئْهُم
Inform them
بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ
about their qualities.]
ۖ
فَلَمَّآ
So when
أَنۢبَأَهُم
informed them
بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ
about their properties
قَالَ
(the One) said,
أَلَمْ
[Did not
أَقُل
I say
لَّكُمْ
to you
إِنِّىٓ
I am
أَعْلَمُ
knowing of
غَيْبَ
that what is unapparent of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the Earth,
وَأَعْلَمُ
and knowing of
مَا
what
تُبْدُونَ
you reveal
وَمَا
and what
كُنتُمْ
you are
تَكْتُمُونَ
hiding?]
٢
٣٣
قَالَ يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ أَنۢبِئْهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَنۢبَأَهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ (The One) said, [O Adam! Inform them about their qualities.] So when informed them about their properties (the One) said, [Did not I say to you I am knowing of that what is unapparent of the heavens and the Earth, and knowing of what you reveal and what you are hiding?]

He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth? And I know that which ye disclose and which ye hide. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [O Adam, inform them of their names,] and when he had informed them of their names, He said, [Did I not tell you that I know the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, and that I know whatever you disclose and whatever you conceal?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Lord said to Adam, [Tell the names of the beings to the angels.] When Adam said their names, the Lord said, [Did I not tell you (angels) that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth and all that you reveal or hide?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: O Adam! inform them of their names. Then when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not say to you that I surely know what is ghaib in the heavens and the earth and (that) I know what you manifest and what you hide? - Shakir, Habib

Then He said, [O Adam, tell them their names.] When Adam had told them the names, God said to the angels, [Did I not say to you: I know the secrets of the heavens and of the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?] - Wahiduddin Khan

ارشاد ہوا کہ آدم علیھ السّلام اب تم انہیں باخبر کردو. تو جب آدم علیھ السّلام نے باخبر کردیا تو خدا نے فرمایا کہمیں نے تم سے نہ کہا تھا کہ میں آسمان و زمین کے غیب کو جانتا ہوں اور جو کچھ تم ظاہر کرتے ہو یا چھپاتے ہو سب کو جانتا ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اللہ نے آدمؑ سے کہا: ——تم اِنہیں اِن چیزوں کے نام بتاؤ—— جب اس نے ان کو اُن سب کے نام بتا دیے، تو اللہ نے فرمایا: ——میں نے تم سے کہا نہ تھا کہ میں آسمانوں اور زمین کی وہ ساری حقیقتیں جانتا ہوں جو تم سے مخفی ہیں، جو کچھ تم ظاہر کرتے ہو، وہ بھی مجھے معلوم ہے اور جو کچھ تم چھپاتے ہو، اسے بھی میں جانتا ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فرمایا اے آدم بتادے انہیں سب (اشیاء کے) نام جب اس نے (یعنی آدم نے) انہیں سب کے نام بتادیئے فرمایا میں نہ کہتا تھا کہ میں جانتا ہوں آسمانوں اور زمین کی سب چھپی چیزیں اور میں جانتا ہوں جو کچھ تم ظاہر کرتے اور جو کچھ تم چھپاتے ہو - - Ahmed Raza

فرمایا: اے آدم تم ان کو ان کے نام بتاؤ۔ تو جب آدم نے ان (فرشتوں) کو ان کے نام بتا دیئے تو خدا نے فرمایا کیا میں نے تم سے نہیں کہا تھا کہ میں آسمانوں اور زمین کے سب مخفی رازوں کو جانتا ہوں اور وہ بھی جانتا ہوں جو تم ظاہر کر رہے ہو اور وہ بھی جو تم (اندرونِ دل) چھپائے ہوئے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذْ
And when
قُلْنَا
We said
لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
to the malaikati,
ٱسْجُدُوا۟
[Be executer of service
لِـَٔادَمَ
for Adam],
فَسَجَدُوٓا۟
so they gave in
إِلَّآ
except
إِبْلِيسَ
Iblees.
أَبَىٰ
He refused
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ
and he flaunted his arrogance
وَكَانَ
and was
مِنَ
of
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the denying ones.
٢
٣٤
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ And when We said to the malaikati, [Be executer of service for Adam], so they gave in except Iblees. He refused and he flaunted his arrogance and was of the denying ones.

And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when We said to the angels, [Prostrate before Adam,] they prostrated, but not Iblis: he refused and acted arrogantly, and he was one of the faithless. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam, they all obeyed except Iblis (Satan) who abstained out of pride and so he became one of those who deny the truth. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam they did obeisance, but Iblis (did it not). He refused and he was proud, and he was one of the unbelievers. - Shakir, Habib

When We said to the angels, [Bow down before Adam,] they all bowed except for Iblis [Satan]. He refused and acted proudly and became an unbeliever. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یاد کرو وہ موقع جب ہم نے ملائکہ سے کہا کہ آدم علیھ السّلام کے لئے سجدہ کرو تو ابلیس کے علاوہ سب نے سجدہ کرلیا. اس نے انکار اور غرور سے کام لیا اور کافرین میں ہوگیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آدمؑ کے آگے جھک جاؤ، تو سب جھک گئے، مگر ابلیس نے انکار کیا وہ اپنی بڑائی کے گھمنڈ میں پڑ گیا اور نافرمانوں میں شامل ہو گیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور (یاد کرو) جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کو تو سب نے سجدہ کیا سوائے ابلیس کے کہ منکر ہوا اور غرور کیا اور کافر ہوگیا- - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کے سامنے سجدہ میں گر جاؤ ابلیس کے سوا سب سجدہ میں گر گئے۔ اس نے انکار و تکبر کیا اور کافروں میں سے ہوگیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقُلْنَا
And We said,
يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
[O Adam!
ٱسْكُنْ
Make home,
أَنتَ
you
وَزَوْجُكَ
and your mate,
ٱلْجَنَّةَ
the garden
وَكُلَا
and consume
مِنْهَا
from it
رَغَدًا
plentiful
حَيْثُ
from wherever
شِئْتُمَا
whatever you want,
وَلَا
but do not
تَقْرَبَا
come to
هَٰذِهِ
this
ٱلشَّجَرَةَ
dispute (which Iblees raised),
فَتَكُونَا
because then, you will be
مِنَ
of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness.]
٢
٣٥
وَقُلْنَا يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ And We said, [O Adam! Make home, you and your mate, the garden and consume from it plentiful from wherever whatever you want, but do not come to this dispute (which Iblees raised), because then, you will be of the people in darkness.]

And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat ye freely (of the fruits) thereof where ye will; but come not nigh this tree lest ye become wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We said, [O Adam, dwell with your mate in paradise and eat thereof freely whencesoever you wish, but do not approach this tree, lest you should be among the wrongdoers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

We told Adam to stay with his spouse (Eve) in the garden and enjoy the foods therein, but not to go near a certain tree lest he become one of the transgressors. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We said: O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden and eat from it a plenteous (food) wherever you wish and do not approach this tree, for then you will be of the unjust. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
We said, [O Adam! live with your wife in Paradise and eat freely from it anywhere you may wish. Yet do not approach this tree lest you become wrongdoers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے کہا کہ اے آدم علیھ السّلام! اب تم اپنی زوجہ کے ساتھ جنّت میں ساکن ہوجاؤ اور جہاں چاہو آرام سے کھاؤ صرف اس درخت کے قریب نہ جانا کہ اپنے اوپر ظلم کرنے والوں میں سے ہوجاؤگے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر ہم نے آدمؑ سے کہا کہ ——تم اور تمہاری بیوی، دونوں جنت میں رہو اور یہاں بفراغت جو چاہو کھاؤ، مگر اس درخت کا رُخ نہ کرنا، ورنہ ظالموں میں شمار ہو گے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے فرمایا اے آدم تو اور تیری بیوی جنت میں رہو اور کھاؤ اس میں سے بے روک ٹوک جہاں تمہارا جی چاہے مگر اس پیڑ کے پاس نہ جانا کہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں میں ہوجاؤ گے- - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے کہا: اے آدم! تم اور تمہاری بیوی دونوں بہشت میں رہو۔ اور اس سے جہاں سے تمہارا دل چاہے مزے اور فراغت کے ساتھ کھاؤ۔ لیکن اس (مخصوص) درخت کے پاس نہ جانا (اس کا پھل نہ کھانا) ورنہ تم زیاں کاروں میں سے ہو جاؤگے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَأَزَلَّهُمَا
But then made them to slip
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the mentally retarding one
عَنْهَا
from it,
فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا
thus made them to exit
مِمَّا
from what
كَانَا
they were
فِيهِ
therein.
ۖ
وَقُلْنَا
And We said,
ٱهْبِطُوا۟
[Be of lower standard,
بَعْضُكُمْ
some of you
لِبَعْضٍ
for some others
عَدُوٌّۭ
being enemies;
ۖ
وَلَكُمْ
and for you
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land is
مُسْتَقَرٌّۭ
a dwelling
وَمَتَٰعٌ
and a provision
إِلَىٰ
till
حِينٍۢ
a period.]
٢
٣٦
فَأَزَلَّهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ ۖ وَقُلْنَا ٱهْبِطُوا۟ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّۭ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّۭ وَمَتَٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ But then made them to slip the mentally retarding one from it, thus made them to exit from what they were therein. And We said, [Be of lower standard, some of you for some others being enemies; and for you in the land is a dwelling and a provision till a period.]

But Satan caused them to deflect therefrom and expelled them from the (happy) state in which they were; and We said: Fall down, one of you a foe unto the other! There shall be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a time. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Then Satan caused them to stumble from it, and he dislodged them from what [state] they were in; and We said, [Get down, being enemies of one another! On the earth shall be your abode and sustenance for a time.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Satan made Adam and his spouse err and caused them to abandon the state in which they had been living. Then We said, [Descend, you are each other's enemies! The earth will be a dwelling place for you and it will provide you with sustenance for an appointed time. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
But the Shaitan made them both fall from it, and caused them to depart from that (state) in which they were; and We said: Get forth, some of you being the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
But Satan caused them both to slip through this and thus brought about the loss of their former state. We said, [Go down from here as enemies to each other; and on earth you shall have your abode and your livelihood for a while!] - Wahiduddin Khan

تب شیطان نے انہیں فریب دینے کی کوشش کی اور انہیں ان نعمتوں سے باہر نکال لیا اور ہم نے کہا کہ اب تم سب زمین پر اترجاؤ وہاں ایک دوسرے کی دشمنی ہوگی اور وہیں تمہارا مرکز ہوگا اور ایک خاص وقت تک کے لئے عیش زندگانی رہےگی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار شیطان نے ان دونوں کو اس درخت کی ترغیب دے کر ہمارے حکم کی پیروی سے ہٹا دیا اور انہیں اُس حالت سے نکلوا کر چھوڑا، جس میں وہ تھے ہم نے حکم دیا کہ، ——اب تم سب یہاں سے اتر جاؤ، تم ایک دوسرے کے دشمن ہو اور تمہیں ایک خاص وقت تک زمین ٹھیرنا اور وہیں گزر بسر کرنا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو شیطان نے اس سے (یعنی جنت سے) انہیں لغزش دی اور جہاں رہتے تھے وہاں سے انہیں الگ کردیا اور ہم نے فرمایا نیچے اترو آپس میں ایک تمہارا دوسرے کا دشمن اور تمہیں ایک وقت تک زمین میں ٹھہرنا اور برتنا ہے - - Ahmed Raza

تب شیطان نے (اس درخت کے باعث) ان کے قدم پھسلائے۔ اور انہیں اس (عیش و آرام) سے نکلوا دیا جس میں وہ تھے اور ہم نے کہا اب تم (زمین پر) اتر جاؤ۔ ایک دوسرے کے دشمن ہو کر۔ اور تمہارے لئے زمین میں ایک (خاص) وقت تک ٹھہرنے اور فائدہ ا ٹھانے کا سامان موجود ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

But then received
ءَادَمُ
Adam
مِن

رَّبِّهِۦ
his Rabb
كَلِمَٰتٍۢ
words,
فَتَابَ
thus He turned
عَلَيْهِ
to him.
ۚ
إِنَّهُۥ
It is a certainty that
هُوَ
He is
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
the Forgiver,
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Gracious.
٢
٣٧
فَتَلَقَّىٰٓ ءَادَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ كَلِمَٰتٍۢ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ But then received Adam from his Rabb words, thus He turned to him. It is a certainty that He is the Forgiver, the Gracious.

Then Adam received from his Lord words (of revelation), and He relented toward him. Lo! He is the relenting, the Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then Adam received certain words from his Lord, and He turned to him clemently. Indeed He is the All-clement, the All-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Adam was inspired by some words (of prayer) through which he received forgiveness from his Lord, for He is All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Then Adam received (some) words from his Lord, so He turned to him mercifully; surely He is Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Then Adam received some words [of prayer] from his Lord and He accepted his repentance. He is the Forgiving One, the Merciful. - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر آدم علیھ السّلام نے پروردگار سے کلمات کی تعلیم حاصل کی اور ان کی برکت سے خدا نے ان کی توبہ قبول کرلی کہ وہ توبہ قبول کرنے والا اور مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اس وقت آدمؑ نے اپنے رب سے چند کلمات سیکھ کر توبہ کی، جس کو اس کے رب نے قبول کر لیا، کیونکہ وہ بڑا معاف کرنے والا اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر سیکھ لیے آدم نے اپنے رب سے کچھ کلمے تو اللہ نے اس کی توبہ قبول کی بیشک وہی ہے بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان۔ - Ahmed Raza

اس کے بعد آدم نے اپنے پروردگار سے کچھ دعا کے کلمات (حاصل کئے) تو اس نے ان کی توبہ قبول کی کیونکہ وہ بڑا توبہ قبول کرنے والا اور بڑا رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قُلْنَا
We said,
ٱهْبِطُوا۟
[Go down a standard
مِنْهَا
from it
جَمِيعًۭا
collectively.
ۖ
فَإِمَّا
But when
يَأْتِيَنَّكُم
comes to you
مِّنِّى
from Me
هُدًۭى
guidance,
فَمَن
then whoever
تَبِعَ
followed
هُدَاىَ
those instructions
فَلَا
then no
خَوْفٌ
dread
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them,
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they
يَحْزَنُونَ
shall be in depression.]

٣٨
قُلْنَا ٱهْبِطُوا۟ مِنْهَا جَمِيعًۭا ۖ فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّى هُدًۭى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَاىَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ We said, [Go down a standard from it collectively. But when comes to you from Me guidance, then whoever followed those instructions then no dread upon them, and not they shall be in depression.]

We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso followeth My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We said, [Get down from it, all together! Yet, should any guidance come to you from Me, those who follow My guidance shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We ordered them all to get out of the garden and told them that when Our guidance came to them, those who would follow it would have neither fear nor grief. - Sarwar, Muhammad

We said: Go forth from this (state) all; so surely there will come to you a guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve. - Shakir, Habib

وَٱلَّذِينَ
[And the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial
وَكَذَّبُوا۟
and continuously lie
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
about Our signs,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
أَصْحَٰبُ
companions of
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire;
ۖ
هُمْ
they
فِيهَا
therein
خَٰلِدُونَ
will live.]
٢
٣٩
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ [And the ones who are in denial and continuously lie about Our signs, those are companions of the fire; they therein will live.]
⦿
But they who disbelieve, and deny Our revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But those who are faithless and deny Our signs, they shall be the inmates of the Fire and they shall remain in it [forever]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
But those who would deny the Truth and reject Our revelations would be the companions of the Fire in which they would live forever. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as to) those who disbelieve in and reject My communications, they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide. - Shakir, Habib

those who deny and reject Our signs shall be the inhabitants of the Fire; therein shall they abide forever.] - Wahiduddin Khan

جو لوگ کافر ہوگئے اور انہوں نے ہماری نشانیوں کو جھٹلا دیا وہ جہنمّی ہیں اور ہمیشہ وہیں پڑے رہیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جو اس کو قبول کرنے سے انکار کریں گے اور ہماری آیات کو جھٹلائیں گے، وہ آگ میں جانے والے لوگ ہیں، جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ جو کفر کریں گے اور میری آیتیں جھٹلائیں گے وہ دوزخ والے ہیں، ان کو ہمیشہ اس میں رہنا - - Ahmed Raza

اور جو کفر اختیار کریں گے اور ہماری آیتوں (نشانیوں) کو جھٹلائیں گے وہی لوگ دوزخ والے ہوں گے۔ وہ اس میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

يَٰبَنِىٓ
O bani
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
Israel!
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
Continuously remember
نِعْمَتِىَ
My blessings
ٱلَّتِىٓ
those which
أَنْعَمْتُ
have been blessed
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
وَأَوْفُوا۟
and abide
بِعَهْدِىٓ
by My oath,
أُوفِ
I fulfil
بِعَهْدِكُمْ
by your oath,
وَإِيَّٰىَ
and Me alone
فَٱرْهَبُونِ
should you fear.
٢
٤٠
يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتِىَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَوْفُوا۟ بِعَهْدِىٓ أُوفِ بِعَهْدِكُمْ وَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ O bani Israel! Continuously remember My blessings those which have been blessed upon you, and abide by My oath, I fulfil by your oath, and Me alone should you fear.

O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil your (part of the) covenant, I shall fulfil My (part of the) covenant, and fear Me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O Children of Israel, remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill My covenant that I may fulfill your covenant, and be in awe of Me [alone]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Children of Israel, recall My favors which you enjoyed. Fulfill your covenant with Me and I shall fulfill Mine. Revere only Me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and be faithful to (your) covenant with Me, I will fulfill (My) covenant with you; and of Me, Me alone, should you be afraid. - Shakir, Habib

Children of Israel, remember the favours I have bestowed upon you, and fulfil the covenant that you made with Me. I shall fulfil the covenant I made with you. Fear Me alone. - Wahiduddin Khan

اے یعقوب کی اولاد یاد کرو میرا وہ احسان جو میں نے تم پر کیا اور میرا عہد پورا کرو میں تمہارا عہد پورا کروں گا اور خاص میرا ہی ڈر رکھو - - Ahmed Raza

وَءَامِنُوا۟
And be at peace
بِمَآ
with what
أَنزَلْتُ
has descended
مُصَدِّقًۭا
— (an instrument of) authentication of
لِّمَا
that (knowledge, laws, history, man-made-scriptures) which
مَعَكُمْ
is with you —
وَلَا
and do not
تَكُونُوٓا۟
become
أَوَّلَ
first
كَافِرٍۭ
denier
بِهِۦ
about it.
ۖ
وَلَا
And do not
تَشْتَرُوا۟
trade
بِـَٔايَٰتِى
with My signs
ثَمَنًۭا
a price
قَلِيلًۭا
that is little,
وَإِيَّٰىَ
and only Me
فَٱتَّقُونِ
should you be afraid of.
٢
٤١
وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَآ أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۭ بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا وَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱتَّقُونِ And be at peace with what has descended — (an instrument of) authentication of that (knowledge, laws, history, man-made-scriptures) which is with you — and do not become first denier about it. And do not trade with My signs a price that is little, and only Me should you be afraid of.

And believe in that which I reveal, confirming that which ye possess already (of the Scripture), and be not first to disbelieve therein, and part not with My revelations for a trifling price, and keep your duty unto Me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And believe in that which I have sent down confirming that which is with you, and do not be the first ones to deny it, and do not sell My signs for a paltry gain, and be wary of Me [alone]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believe in My revelations (Quran) that confirms what I revealed to you (about Prophet Muhammad in your Scripture). Do not be the first ones to deny it nor sell My revelations for a small price, but have fear of Me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And believe in what I have revealed, verifying that which is with you, and be not the first to deny it, neither take a mean price in exchange for My communications; and Me, Me alone should you fear. - Shakir, Habib

And believe in the message I have sent down which fulfils that [predictions about the last prophet in their Scripture] which you already possess and do not be foremost among those who deny its truth. Do not sell My revelations for a paltry price; fear Me alone. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور میں نے جو کتاب بھیجی ہے اس پر ایمان لاؤ یہ اُس کتاب کی تائید میں ہے جو تمہارے پاس پہلے سے موجود تھی، لہٰذا سب سے پہلے تم ہی اس کے منکر نہ بن جاؤ تھوڑی قیمت پر میری آیات کو نہ بیچ ڈالو او ر میرے غضب سے بچو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ایمان لاؤ اس پر جو میں نے اتارا اس کی تصدیق کرتا ہوا جو تمہارے ساتھ ہے اور سب سے پہلے اس کے منکر نہ بنو اور میری آیتوں کے بدلے تھوڑے دام نہ لو اور مجھی سے ڈرو - - Ahmed Raza

اور اس کتاب (قرآن) پر ایمان لاؤ جو میں نے (اب) نازل کی ہے۔ جو اس (توراۃ) کی تصدیق کرتی ہے جو تمہارے پاس ہے اور تم اس کے اولین منکر نہ بنو اور آیتوں کو (ان میں تحریف کرکے) تھوڑی قیمت (دنیوی مفاد) پر فروخت نہ کرو۔ اور مجھ ہی سے (میری نافرمانی سے) ڈرو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَا
And do not
تَلْبِسُوا۟
dress up
ٱلْحَقَّ
the fact
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ
with fiction,
وَتَكْتُمُوا۟
and do not hide
ٱلْحَقَّ
the truth
وَأَنتُمْ
while you
تَعْلَمُونَ
are in knowledge of it.
And do not dress up the fact with fiction, and do not hide the truth while you are in knowledge of it.

Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور حق کو باطل کے ساتھ خلط ملط نہ کرو اور جانتے بوجھتے ہوئے حق کو نہ چھپاؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the order (united discipline)
وَءَاتُوا۟
and bring forth
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
the emancipation,
وَٱرْكَعُوا۟
and accept as authority (Creator's command)
مَعَ
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
the ones who have accepted as authority the Creator's command (i.e. all the matter in the Universe, the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the Earth, the Nature, in fact every atom in the entire Universe).
And establish the order (united discipline) and bring forth the emancipation, and accept as authority (Creator's command) with the ones who have accepted as authority the Creator's command (i.e. all the matter in the Universe, the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the Earth, the Nature, in fact every atom in the entire Universe).

Establish worship, pay the poor-due, and bow your heads with those who bow (in worship). - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And maintain the prayer, and give the zakat, and bow along with those who bow [in prayer]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and bow down with those who bow down. - Shakir, Habib

Attend to your prayers, give the zakat [prescribed alms] and bow down with those who bow down. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰة دو اور رکوع کرنے والوں کے ساتھ رکوع کرو- - Ahmed Raza
