Alif - Laam - Raa.
ۚ
كِتَٰبٌ
A book
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
We alight it
إِلَيْكَ
towards you,
لِتُخْرِجَ
to bring out
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people
مِنَ
from
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
the darknesses
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنُّورِ
the light
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb,
إِلَىٰ
to be on
صِرَٰطِ
path of
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَمِيدِ
the most Powerful.
١٤
١
الٓر ۚ كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ Alif - Laam - Raa. A book We alight it towards you, to bring out the people from the darknesses towards the light by command of their Rabb, to be on path of the Fortified, the most Powerful.

Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture which We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) that thereby thou mayst bring forth mankind from darkness unto light, by the permission of their Lord, unto the path of the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book We have sent down to you that you may bring mankind out from darkness into light, by the command of their Lord, to the path of the All-mighty, the All-laudable - Qarai, Ali Quli

Alif. Lam. Ra. A Book has been revealed to you, (Muhammad), so that, by the permission of their Lord, you would be able to lead people from darkness into light along the path of the Majestic, Praised One. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by their Lord's permission from utter darkness into light-- to the way of the Mighty, the Praised One, - Shakir, Habib

Alif Lam Ra. We have revealed to you this Book so that, by their Lord's command, you may lead men from darkness to the light: to the path of the Mighty, the Praiseworthy One, - Wahiduddin Khan

الۤر -یہ کتاب ہے جسے ہم نے آپ کی طرف نازل کیا ہے تاکہ آپ لوگوں کو حکم خدا سے تاریکیوں سے نکال کر نور کی طرف لے آئیں اور خدائے عزیز و حمید کے راستے پر لگادیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ا ل ر اے محمدؐ، یہ ایک کتاب ہے جس کو ہم نے تمہاری طرف نازل کیا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لاؤ، ان کے رب کی توفیق سے، اُس خدا کے راستے پر جو زبردست اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ایک کتاب ہے کہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف اتاری کہ تم لوگوں کو اندھیریوں سے اجالے میں لا ؤ ان کے رب کے حکم سے اس کی راہ کی طرف جو عزت والا سب خوبیوں والا ہے - Ahmed Raza

الف، لام، را۔ (اے رسول(ص)) یہ ایک کتاب ہے جو ہم نے آپ پر اس لئے نازل کی ہے کہ آپ لوگوں کو ان کے پروردگار کے حکم سے (کفر کی) تاریکیوں سے نکال کر (ایمان کی) روشنی کی طرف لائیں (یعنی) اس خدا کے راستہ کی طرف جو غالب (اور) قابل تعریف ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱللَّهِ
The One is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity
لَهُۥ
for Whom is
مَا
what is
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَمَا
and what is
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land;
ۗ
وَوَيْلٌۭ
and affliction is
لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the deniers,
مِنْ
of
عَذَابٍۢ
a punishment
شَدِيدٍ
that is intense.
١٤
٢
ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍۢ شَدِيدٍ The One is the Entity for Whom is what is in the heavens and what is in the land; and affliction is for the deniers, of a punishment that is intense.

Allah, unto Whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. and woe unto the disbelievers from an awful doom; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Woe to the faithless for a severe punishment - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Woe to the disbelievers; they will face the most severe punishment! - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
(Of) Allah, Whose is whatever is in the heavens and whatever Is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of the severe chastisement, - Shakir, Habib

to God, who possesses whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Woe to those who deny the truth, for they shall be sternly punished! - Wahiduddin Khan

وہ اللہ وہ ہے جس کے لئے زمین و آسمان کی ہر شے ہے اور کافروں کے لئے تو سخت ترین اور افسوس ناک عذاب ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور زمین اور آسمانوں کی ساری موجودات کا مالک ہے اور سخت تباہ کن سزا ہے قبول حق سے انکار کرنے والوں کے لیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اللہ کہ اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں اور کافروں کی خرابی ہے ایک سخت عذاب سے - Ahmed Raza

وہ اللہ کہ جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب اسی کا ہے اور تباہی و بربادی ہے سخت عذاب کی وجہ سے ان کافروں کیلئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

The ones who
يَسْتَحِبُّونَ
are desireful of
ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this World
عَلَى
over
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth coming,
وَيَصُدُّونَ
and they obstruct
عَن
from
سَبِيلِ
way of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
وَيَبْغُونَهَا
and seek in it
عِوَجًا
crookedness;
ۚ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
they are
فِى
in
ضَلَٰلٍۭ
misguidance
بَعِيدٍۢ
afar.
١٤
٣
ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ The ones who are desireful of the life of this World over the forth coming, and they obstruct from way of the One, and seek in it crookedness; they are in misguidance afar.

Those who love the life of the world more than the Hereafter, and debar (men) from the way of Allah and would have it crooked: such are far astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
—those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and bar [others] from the way of Allah, and seek to make it crooked. They are in extreme error. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
It is they who have given preference to the worldly life over the life to come. They create obstacles in the way that leads to God and try to make it seem crooked. They are in manifest error. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
(To) those who love this world's life more than the hereafter, and turn away from Allah's path and desire to make it crooked; these are in a great error. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Woe to those who love this life more than the Hereafter; who turn others away from the path of God and seek to make it crooked. They have gone far astray. - Wahiduddin Khan

وہ لوگ جو زندگانی دنیا کو آخرت کے مقابلے میں پسند کرتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں کجی پیدا کرنا چاہتے ہیں یہ گمراہی میں بہت دور تک چلے گئے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جو دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت پر ترجیح دیتے ہیں، جو اللہ کے راستے سے لوگوں کو روک رہے ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ یہ راستہ (ان کی خواہشات کے مطابق) ٹیٹرھا ہو جائے یہ لوگ گمراہی میں بہت دور نکل گئے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جنہیں آخرت سے دنیا کی زندگی پیاری ہے اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے اور اس میں کجی چاہتے ہیں، وہ دور کی گمراہی میں ہیں - Ahmed Raza

And not
أَرْسَلْنَا
We have sent
مِن

رَّسُولٍ
a messenger
إِلَّا
except
بِلِسَانِ
with language of
قَوْمِهِۦ
his people
لِيُبَيِّنَ
for making it clear
لَهُمْ
to them;
ۖ
فَيُضِلُّ
thus misleads
ٱللَّهُ
the One
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
وَيَهْدِى
and guides
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires,
ۚ
وَهُوَ
and He is
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Wise.
١٤
٤
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ ۖ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ And not We have sent of a messenger except with language of his people for making it clear to them; thus misleads the One whom He desires, and guides whom He desires, and He is the Fortified, the Wise.

And We never sent a messenger save with the language of his folk, that he might make (the message) clear for them. Then Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will. He is the Mighty, the Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send any apostle except with the language of his people, so that he might make [Our messages] clear to them. Then Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and He guides whomsoever He wishes, and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. - Qarai, Ali Quli

All the Messengers that We sent spoke the language of their people so that they could explain (their message to them). God guides or causes to go astray whomever He wants. He is Majestic and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We did not send any apostle but with the language of his people, so that he might explain to them clearly; then Allah makes whom He pleases err and He guides whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Wise. - Shakir, Habib

Each messenger We have sent has spoken in the language of his own people, so that he might make the message clear to them. But God lets go astray whom He will and guides whom He pleases. He is the Almighty, the All Wise. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے جس رسول کو بھی بھیجا اسی کی قوم کی زبان کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ وہ لوگوں پر باتوں کو واضح کرسکے اس کے بعد خدا جس کو چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے وہ صاحب هعزّت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ حکمت بھی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم نے اپنا پیغام دینے کے لیے جب کبھی کوئی رسول بھیجا ہے، اُس نے اپنی قوم ہی کی زبان میں پیغام دیا ہے تاکہ وہ انہیں اچھی طرح کھول کر بات سمجھائے پھر اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے بھٹکا دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت بخشتا ہے، وہ بالا دست اور حکیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے ہر رسول اس کی قوم ہی کی زبان میں بھیجا کہ وہ انہیں صاف بتائے پھراللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے اور وہ راہ دکھاتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے (دنیا میں) جب بھی کوئی رسول بھیجا ہے تو اس کی قوم کی زبان میں تاکہ وہ ان کیلئے (پیغامِ خداوندی) کھول کر بیان کرے پس اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے (توفیق سلب کرکے) گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے وہ (سب پر) غالب ہے، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
along with Our signs
أَنْ
that,
أَخْرِجْ
[Bring out
قَوْمَكَ
your nation
مِنَ
from
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
the darknesses
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنُّورِ
the light,
وَذَكِّرْهُم
and remind them
بِأَيَّىٰمِ
about periods of
ٱللَّهِ
the One].
ۚ
إِنَّ
Surely
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
that
لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ
are signs
لِّكُلِّ
for every
صَبَّارٍۢ
one who is perseveringly
شَكُورٍۢ
thankful.
١٤
٥
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍۢ شَكُورٍۢ And certainly We sent Moosa along with Our signs that, [Bring out your nation from the darknesses towards the light, and remind them about periods of the One]. Surely in that are signs for every one who is perseveringly thankful.
⦿
We verily sent Moses with Our revelations, saying: Bring thy people forth from darkness unto light. And remind them of the days of Allah. Lo! therein are revelations for each steadfast, thankful (heart). - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs: [Bring your people out from darkness into light and remind them of Allah]s [holy] days. There are indeed signs in that for every patient and grateful [servant].] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We sent Moses and gave him miracles in order to lead his people from darkness into light and to remind them of the days of God. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for those who exercise patience and give thanks. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications, saying: Bring forth your people from utter darkness into light and remind them of the days of Allah; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
We sent Moses with Our signs, saying, [Lead your people out of the darkness into the light, and remind them of God's Days. In that there are signs for every patient, grateful person.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے موسٰی کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا کہ اپنی قوم کو ظلمتوں سے نور کی طرف نکال کر لائیں اور انہیں خدائی دنوں کی یاد دلائیں کہ بیشک اس میں تمام صبر کرنے والے اور شکر کرنے والے کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم اِس سے پہلے موسیٰؑ کو بھی اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیج چکے ہیں اسے بھی ہم نے حکم دیا تھا کہ اپنی قوم کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر روشنی میں لا اور انہیں تاریخ الٰہی کے سبق آموز واقعات سنا کر نصیحت کر اِن واقعات میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ہر اُس شخص کے لیے جو صبر اور شکر کرنے والا ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں دے کر بھیجا کہ اپنی قوم کو اندھیریوں سے اجالے میں لا، اور انہیں اللہ کے دن یا د دِلا بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ہر بڑے صبرے والے شکر گزار کرو، - Ahmed Raza

اور بے شک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا تھا (اور حکم دیا) کہ اپنی قوم کو (کفر کے) اندھیروں سے نکال کر (ایمان کی) روشنی میں لائے اور انہیں اللہ کے مخصوص دن یاد دلاؤ یقینا اس (یاددہانی) میں ہر بڑے صبر و شکر کرنے والے کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذْ
And when
قَالَ
said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
لِقَوْمِهِ
to his nation,
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
[Continuously remember
نِعْمَةَ
gift of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
إِذْ
when
أَنجَىٰكُم
you were saved
مِّنْ
from
ءَالِ
commanders of
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun
يَسُومُونَكُمْ
who occupied you with
سُوٓءَ
worst of
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the torture,
وَيُذَبِّحُونَ
and slaughtered
أَبْنَآءَكُمْ
your able ones
وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ
and humilliated
نِسَآءَكُمْ
your weak ones;
ۚ
وَفِى
and in
ذَٰلِكُم
that for you
بَلَآءٌۭ
was a test
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Rabb
عَظِيمٌۭ
who is great.]
١٤
٦
وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌۭ And when said Moosa to his nation, [Continuously remember gift of the One upon you, when you were saved from commanders of Fir'oun who occupied you with worst of the torture, and slaughtered your able ones and humilliated your weak ones; and in that for you was a test from your Rabb who is great.]

And (remind them) how Moses said unto his people: Remember Allah's favour unto you when He delivered you from Pharaoh's folk who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, and were slaying your sons and sparing your women; that was a tremendous trial from your Lord. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Moses said to his people, [Remember Allah]s blessing upon you when He delivered you from Pharaoh]s clan who inflicted a terrible torment on you, and slaughtered your sons and spared your women, and in that there was a great test from your Lord. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses told his people, [Remember the favors that God granted you when He saved you from the people of the Pharaoh who had punished you in the worst manner by murdering your sons and keeping your women alive. It was a great trial for you from your Lord. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Musa said to his people: Call to mind Allah's favor to you when He delivered you from Firon's people, who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord. - Shakir, Habib

Moses said to his people, [Remember God's goodness to you when He delivered you from Pharaoh's people who were treating you cruelly, putting your sons to death and sparing only your daughters. Surely that was a great trial from your Lord. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب موسٰی نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ تم لوگ اللہ کی اس نعمت کو یاد کرو کہ اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دلائی جب کہ وہ بدترین عذاب میں مبتلا کررہے تھے کہ تمہارے لڑکوں کو ذبح کررہے تھے اور تمہاری لڑکیوں کو (کنیزی کے لئے)زندہ رکھتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے بڑا سخت امتحان تھا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو جب موسیٰؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا ——اللہ کے اُس احسان کو یاد رکھو جو اس نے تم پر کیا ہے اس نے تم کو فرعون والوں سے چھڑایا جو تم کو سخت تکلیفیں دیتے تھے، تمہارے لڑکوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ بچا رکھتے تھے اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا یاد کرو اپنے اوپر اللہ کا احسان جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دی جو تم کو بری مار دیتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتے اور تمہاری بیٹیاں زندہ رکھتے، اور اس میں تمہارے رب کا بڑا فضل ہوا، - Ahmed Raza

اور یاد کرو جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا اللہ کے اس احسان کو یاد کرو جو اس نے تم پر کیا یعنی اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دی جو تمہیں سخت عذاب پہنچاتے تھے اور وہ تمہارے لڑکوں کو ذبح کر ڈالتے تھے اور لڑکیوں کو زندہ چھوڑ دیتے تھے اور اس میں تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

for sure I will increase you.
ۖ
وَلَئِن
And if
كَفَرْتُمْ
you deny
إِنَّ
then
عَذَابِى
My punishment
لَشَدِيدٌۭ
is forsure intense.]
١٤
٧
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌۭ And when declared your Rabb, [If it is that you are thankful, for sure I will increase you. And if you deny then My punishment is forsure intense.]

And when your Lord proclaimed: If ye give thanks, I will give you more; but if ye are thankless, lo! My punishment is dire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when your Lord proclaimed, “If you are grateful, I will surely enhance you [in blessing], but if you are ungrateful, My punishment is indeed severe.” ] - Qarai, Ali Quli

[Remember when your Lord said to you, 'If you give thanks, I shall give you greater (favors), but if you deny the Truth, know that My retribution is severe ]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when your Lord made it known: If you are grateful, I would certainly give to you more, and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is truly severe. - Shakir, Habib

Remember also the time when your Lord declared, 'If you are grateful, I will surely bestow more favours on you; but if you are ungrateful, then know that My punishment is severe indeed.'] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب تمہارے پروردگار نے اعلان کیا کہ اگر تم ہمارا شکریہ اد اکرو گے تو ہم نعمتوں میں اضافہ کردیں گے اور اگر کفرانِ نعمت کرو گے تو ہمارا عذاب بھی بہت سخت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور یاد رکھو، تمہارے رب نے خبردار کر دیا تھا کہ اگر شکر گزار بنو گے تو میں تم کو اور زیادہ نوازوں گا اور اگر کفران نعمت کرو گے تو میری سزا بہت سخت ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے رب نے سنادیا کہ اگر احسان مانو گے تو میں تمہیں اور دونگا اور اگر ناشکری کرو تو میرا عذاب سخت ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے پروردگار نے تمہیں مطلع کر دیا تھا کہ اگر (میرا) شکر ادا کروگے تو میں تمہیں اور زیادہ دوں گا اور اگر کفرانِ نعمت (ناشکری) کروگے تو میرا عذاب بھی بڑا سخت ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالَ
And said
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosa,
إِن
[If
تَكْفُرُوٓا۟
deny,
أَنتُمْ
you all
وَمَن
and whoever is
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the Earth
جَمِيعًۭا
collectively,
فَإِنَّ
thus it is that
ٱللَّهَ
the One
لَغَنِىٌّ
is beyond needs of
حَمِيدٌ
commendation.]
١٤
٨
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ And said Moosa, [If deny, you all and whoever is in the Earth collectively, thus it is that the One is beyond needs of commendation.]

And Moses said: Though ye and all who are in the earth prove thankless, lo! Allah verily is Absolute, Owner of Praise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And Moses said, [Should you be faithless,—you and everyone on the earth, all together—indeed Allah is all-sufficient, all-laudable.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses told his people, [If you and everyone on the earth turn to disbelief, know that God is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa said: If you are ungrateful, you and those on earth all together, most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised; - Shakir, Habib

Moses said, [Even if you should deny the truth, and all who dwell on earth together, God is self-sufficient, praiseworthy.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور موسٰی نے یہ بھی کہہ دیا کہ اگر تم سب اور روئے زمین کے تمام بسنے والے بھی کافر ہوجائیں تو ہمارا اللہ سب سے بے نیاز ہے اور وہ قابلِ حمد و ستائش ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور موسیٰؑ نے کہا کہ ——اگر تم کفر کرو اور زمین کے سارے رہنے والے بھی کافر ہو جائیں تو اللہ بے نیاز اور اپنی ذات میں آپ محمود ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور موسیٰ نے کہا اگر تم اور زمین میں جتنے ہیں سب کا فر ہوجاؤ تو بیشک اللہ بے پروہ سب خوبیوں والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

اور موسیٰ نے کہا کہ اگر تم اور روئے زمین کے سب لوگ کفر اختیار کریں تو اللہ کو اس کی کیا پروا ہے وہ یقیناً بے نیاز (اور) قابلِ ستائش ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Nooh
وَعَادٍۢ
and 'Aad
وَثَمُودَ
and Thamud
ۛ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِمْ
after them?
ۛ
لَا
No one
يَعْلَمُهُمْ
remembers them
إِلَّا
except
ٱللَّهُ
the One;
ۚ
جَآءَتْهُمْ
when came to them
رُسُلُهُم
their messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
with the clarifications,
فَرَدُّوٓا۟
thus they shoved
أَيْدِيَهُمْ
their hands
فِىٓ
in
أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
their mouths
وَقَالُوٓا۟
and they said,
إِنَّا
[Certainly
كَفَرْنَا
we deny
بِمَآ
with what
أُرْسِلْتُم
you are delivering
بِهِۦ
regarding it,
وَإِنَّا
and we
لَفِى
are in
شَكٍّۢ
doubt
مِّمَّا
however
تَدْعُونَنَآ
you are inviting us
إِلَيْهِ
to it,
مُرِيبٍۢ
being suspicious.]
١٤
٩
أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٍۢ وَثَمُودَ ۛ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۛ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍۢ Has not come to you news of the ones from before you, people of Nooh and 'Aad and Thamud and the ones from after them? No one remembers them except the One; when came to them their messengers with the clarifications, thus they shoved their hands in their mouths and they said, [Certainly we deny with what you are delivering regarding it, and we are in doubt however you are inviting us to it, being suspicious.]

Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Has there not come to you the account of those who were before you—the people of Noah, [Ad and Thamud, and those who were after them, whom no one knows [well] except Allah? Their apostles brought them manifest proofs, but they did not respond to them, and said, [We disbelieve in what you have been sent with. Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Have you (believers) ever heard the news about those who lived before you, like the people of Noah, Ad, Thamud, and those who lived after them? No one knows about them except God. Messengers were sent to them with miracles, but they put their hands to their mouths and said, [We do not believe in whatever you preach and we are also doubtful and uncertain about that to which you invite us.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Has not the account reached you of those before you, of the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood, and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their apostles come to them with clear arguments, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: Surely we deny that with which you are sent, and most surely we are in serious doubt as to that to which you invite us. - Shakir, Habib

Has not news come to you concerning those who preceded you, such as Noah's people, and the 'Ad and Thamud, as well as those who came after them? Only God knows who they were. The messengers came to them with clear signs, but they put their hands to their mouths saying, [We deny the message you have been sent with. We have grave doubts about what you are inviting us to do.] - Wahiduddin Khan

کیا تمہارے پاس اپنے سے پہلے والوں قوم نوح اور قوم عاد و ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد گزرے ہیں اور جنہیں خدا کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے کی خبر نہیں آئی ہے کہ ان کے پاس اللہ کے رسول معجزات لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے ان کے ہاتھوں کو ان ہی کے منہ کی طرف پلٹا دیا اور صاف کہہ دیا کہ ہم تمہارے لائے ہوئے پیغام کے منکر ہیں اور ہمیں اس بات کے بارے میں واضح شک ہے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں دعوت دے رہے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تمہیں اُن قوموں کے حالات نہیں پہنچے جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکی ہیں؟ قوم نوحؑ، عاد، ثمود اور اُن کے بعد آنے والی بہت سی قومیں جن کا شمار اللہ ہی کو معلوم ہے؟ اُن کے رسول جب اُن کے پاس صاف صاف باتیں اور کھلی کھلی نشانیاں لیے ہوئے آئے تو اُنہوں نے اپنے منہ میں ہاتھ دبا لیے اور کہا کہ ——جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کو نہیں مانتے اور جس چیز کی تم ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو اُس کی طرف سے ہم سخت خلجان آمیز شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کیا تمہیں ان کی خبریں نہ آئیں جو تم سے پہلے تھی نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ ہی جانے ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے تو وہ اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ کی طرف لے گئے اور بولے ہم منکر ہیں اس کے جو تمہارے ہاتھ بھیجا گیا اور جس راہ کی طرف ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس میں ہمیں وہ شک ہے کہ بات کھلنے نہیں دیتا، - Ahmed Raza

کیا تمہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو تم سے پہلے گزر چکے (یعنی) قومِ نوح(ع) اور عاد و ثمود(ع) اور وہ لوگ جو ان کے بعد ہوئے ہیں جنہیں اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ جب ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں (معجزے) لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ اپنے منہ میں دبا لئے اور کہا کہ جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو ہم اس کا انکار کرتے ہیں اور تم جس (دین) کی طرف ہمیں دعوت دیتے ہو ہم اس کی طرف سے تردد آمیز شک میں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Said
رُسُلُهُمْ
their messengers,
أَفِى

a doubt?
فَاطِرِ

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the Earth;
ۖ
يَدْعُوكُمْ
He calls you
لِيَغْفِرَ
to have pardon
لَكُم
for you
مِّن
from
ذُنُوبِكُمْ
your offenses,
وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ
and to delay you
إِلَىٰٓ
till
أَجَلٍۢ
a time
مُّسَمًّۭى
identified.]
ۚ
قَالُوٓا۟
They replied,
إِنْ
[Indeed
أَنتُمْ
you are
إِلَّا
not but
بَشَرٌۭ
a man
مِّثْلُنَا
like us,
تُرِيدُونَ
you are looking for
أَن
that
تَصُدُّونَا
you stop us
عَمَّا
over what
كَانَ
were
يَعْبُدُ
obeying
ءَابَآؤُنَا
our forefathers?
فَأْتُونَا
Thus produce for us
بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ
regarding an authority
مُّبِينٍۢ
clearly.]
١٤
١٠
قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّۭ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ Said their messengers, [Is in the One a doubt? Engineer of the heavens and the Earth; He calls you to have pardon for you from your offenses, and to delay you till a time identified.] They replied, [Indeed you are not but a man like us, you are looking for that you stop us over what were obeying our forefathers? Thus produce for us regarding an authority clearly.]

Their messengers said: Can there be doubt concerning Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? He calleth you that He may forgive you your sins and reprieve you unto an appointed term. They said: Ye are but mortals like us, who would fain turn us away from what our fathers used to worship. Then bring some clear warrant. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their apostles said, [Is there any doubt about Allah, the originator of the heavens and the earth?! He calls you to forgive you a part of your sins, and grants you respite until a specified time.] They said, [You are nothing but humans like us who desire to bar us from what our fathers used to worship. So bring us a manifest authority.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers asked them, [Could there be any doubt about the existence of God who has created the heavens and the earth? He calls you to Himself to forgive your sins. He gives you respite only until the appointed time.] They said, [You are mere mortals like us. What you want is to prevent us from worshipping that which our fathers worshipped. Show us clear proof (if what you say is true).] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Their apostles said: Is there doubt about Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? He invites you to forgive you your faults and to respite you till an appointed term. They said: You are nothing but mortals like us; you wish to turn us away from what our fathers used to worship; bring us therefore some clear authority. - Shakir, Habib

Their messengers said, [Is there any doubt about God, the Originator of the heavens and earth? He calls you to Him in order to forgive you some of your offences and to reprieve you for a specific period.] They said, [You are only human beings like ourselves! You want to divert us from what our forefathers have been worshipping, so bring us some clear authority.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو رسولوں نے کہا کہ کیا تمہیں اللہ کے بارے میں بھی شک ہے جو زمین و آسمان کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور تمہیں اس لئے بلاتا ہے کہ تمہارے گناہوں کو معاف کردے اور ایک معینہ مدّت تک زمین میں چین سے رہنے دے ....تو ان لوگوں نے جواب دیا کہ تم سب بھی ہمارے ہی جیسے بشر ہو اور چاہتے ہو کہ ہمیں ان چیزوں سے روک دو جن کی ہمارے باپ دادا عبادت کیا کرتے تھے تو اب کوئی کھلی ہوئی دلیل لے آؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُن کے رسولوں نے کہا ——کیا خدا کے بارے میں شک ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا خالق ہے؟ وہ تمہیں بلا ر =ہا ہے تاکہ تمہارے قصور معاف کرے اور تم کو ایک مدت مقرر تک مہلت دے—— اُنہوں نے جواب دیا ——تم کچھ نہیں ہو مگر ویسے ہی انسان جیسے ہم ہیں تم ہمیں اُن ہستیوں کی بندگی سے روکنا چاہتے ہو جن کی بندگی باپ دادا سے ہوتی چلی آ رہی ہے اچھا تو لاؤ کوئی صریح سند—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ان کے رسولوں نے کہا کیا اللہ میں شک ہے آسمان اور زمین کا بنانے والا، تمہیں بلاتا ہے کہ تمہارے کچھ گناہ بخشے اور موت کے مقرر وقت تک تمہاری زندگی بے عذاب کاٹ دے، بولے تم تو ہمیں جیسے آدمی ہو تم چاہتے ہو کہ ہمیں اس سے باز رکھو جو ہمارے باپ دادا پوجتے تھے اب کوئی روشن سند ہمارے پاس لے آؤ - Ahmed Raza

ان کے رسولوں نے کہا کیا (تمہیں) اللہ کے بارے میں شک ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا خالق ہے؟ وہ تمہیں اس لئے بلا رہا ہے کہ تمہارے گناہ بخش دے اور تمہیں ایک مقررہ وقت تک مہلت دے اس پر ان لوگوں نے کہا تم نہیں ہو مگر ہمارے جیسے بشر (اور انسان) تم چاہتے ہو کہ جن کی ہمارے باپ دادا عبادت کرتے آئے ہیں ہمیں ان کی عبادت سے روکو! سو ہمارے پاس کوئی کھلا ہوا (ہمارا مطلوبہ) معجزہ لاؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالَتْ
Said
لَهُمْ
to them
رُسُلُهُمْ
their messengers
إِن
that,
نَّحْنُ
[We are
إِلَّا
not but
بَشَرٌۭ
men
مِّثْلُكُمْ
like you all,
وَلَٰكِنَّ
however
ٱللَّهَ
the One
يَمُنُّ
bestows favour
عَلَىٰ
upon
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires
مِنْ
from
عِبَادِهِۦ
His servants;
ۖ
وَمَا
and not
كَانَ
was
لَنَآ
for us
أَن
that
نَّأْتِيَكُم
we come to you
بِسُلْطَٰنٍ
with an authority
إِلَّا
except
بِإِذْنِ
by command of
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۚ
وَعَلَى
and upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
thus are reliant
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
the ones who have conviction.]
١٤
١١
قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ Said to them their messengers that, [We are not but men like you all, however the One bestows favour upon whom He desires from His servants; and not was for us that we come to you with an authority except by command of the One; and upon the One thus are reliant the ones who have conviction.]

Their messengers said unto them: We are but mortals like you, but Allah giveth grace unto whom He will of His slaves. It is not ours to bring you a warrant unless by the permission of Allah. In Allah let believers put their trust! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their apostles said to them, [Indeed we are just human beings like yourselves; but Allah favours whomever of His servants that He wishes. We may not bring you an authority except by Allah]s leave, and in Allah let all the faithful put their trust. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers replied, [We are certainly mere mortals like you, but God bestows His favors on whichever of His servants He wants. We can not bring you authority without the permission of God. The faithful should trust in God alone. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Their apostles said to them: We are nothing but mortals like yourselves, but Allah bestows (His) favors on whom He pleases of His servants, and it is not for us that we should bring you an authority except by Allah's permission; and on Allah should the believers rely. - Shakir, Habib

Their messengers replied, [We are indeed mortals like yourselves. But God bestows His grace on such of His servants as He chooses. We cannot give you miracles, except by God's leave. In God let true believers put their trust -- - Wahiduddin Khan

ان سے رسولوں نے کہا کہ یقینا ہم تمہارے ہی جیسے بشر ہیں لیکن خدا جس بندے پر چاہتا ہے مخصوص احسان بھی کرتا ہے اور ہمارے اختیار میں یہ بھی نہیں ہے کہ ہم بلااذنِ خدا کوئی دلیل یا معجزہ لے آئیں اور صاحبان هایمان تو صرف اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان کے رسولوں نے ان سے کہا ——واقعی ہم کچھ نہیں ہیں مگر تم ہی جیسے انسان لیکن اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہتا ہے نوازتا ہے اور یہ ہمارے اختیار میں نہیں ہے کہ تمہیں کوئی سند لا دیں سند تو اللہ ہی کے اذن سے آسکتی ہے اور اللہ ہی پر اہل ایمان کو بھروسہ کرنا چاہیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ان کے رسولوں نے ان سے کہا ہم ہیں تو تمہاری طرح انسان مگر اللہ اپنے بندوں میں جس پر چاہے احسان فرماتا ہے اور ہمارا کام نہیں کہ ہم تمہارے پاس کچھ سند لے آئیں مگر اللہ کے حکم سے، اور مسلمانوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے - Ahmed Raza

لَنَآ

He guided us to
سُبُلَنَا
our paths?
ۚ
وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ
And we are to persevere
عَلَىٰ
over
مَآ
however
ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا
you hurt us;
ۚ
وَعَلَى
and upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
thus are reliant
ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
the ones who advocate (His message).]
١٤
١٢
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ [And what for us that not we rely upon the One, while certainly He guided us to our paths? And we are to persevere over however you hurt us; and upon the One thus are reliant the ones who advocate (His message).]

How should we not put our trust in Allah when He hath shown us our ways? We surely will endure the hurt ye do us. In Allah let the trusting put their trust. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And why should we not put our trust in Allah, seeing that He has guided us in our ways? Surely, we will put up patiently with whatever torment you may inflict upon us, and in Allah let all the trusting put their trust.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Why should we not trust in God when He has shown us the right way? We shall exercise patience against the troubles with which you afflict us. Whoever needs a trustee should trust in God.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And what reason have we that we should not rely on Allah? And He has indeed guided us in our ways; and certainly we would bear with patience your persecution of us; and on Allah should the reliant rely. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
and why should we not put our trust in God when He has already guided us to our paths? We will, surely, bear with patience all the harm you do us. So in God let those who trust put their trust.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم کیوں نہ اللہ پر بھروسہ کریں جب کہ اسی نے ہمیں ہمارے راستوں کی ہدایت دی ہے اور ہم یقینا تمہاری اذیتوں پر صبر کریں گے اور بھروسہ کرنے والے تو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہم کیوں نہ اللہ پر بھروسہ کریں جبکہ ہماری زندگی کی راہوں میں اس نے ہماری رہنمائی کی ہے؟ جو اذیتیں تم لوگ ہمیں دے رہے ہو اُن پر ہم صبر کریں گے اور بھروسا کرنے والوں کا بھروسا اللہ ہی پر ہونا چاہیے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہمیں کیا ہوا کہ اللہ پر بھروسہ نہ کریں اس نے تو ہماری راہیں ہمیں دکھادیں اور تم جو ہمیں ستا رہے ہو ہم ضرور اس پر صبر کریں گے، اور بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے، - Ahmed Raza

آخر ہمیں کیا ہے کہ ہم اللہ پر بھروسہ نہ کریں حالانکہ اسی نے ہمیں ہماری (زندگی کی) راہوں کی راہنمائی کی ہے اور تم ہمیں جو ایذائیں پہنچا رہے ہو ہم ان پر صبر کریں گے اور اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو بھروسہ کرنا چاہیئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَالَ
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
were in denial
لِرُسُلِهِمْ
for their messengers,
لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم
[Either we are to evict you
مِّنْ
from
أَرْضِنَآ
our land,
أَوْ
or
لَتَعُودُنَّ
you are to become conditioned
فِى
in
مِلَّتِنَا
our creed.]
ۖ
فَأَوْحَىٰٓ
Thus inspired
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them (the messengers)
رَبُّهُمْ
their Rabb,
لَنُهْلِكَنَّ
[We are to destroy
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness.]
١٤
١٣
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَا ۖ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ And said the ones who were in denial for their messengers, [Either we are to evict you from our land, or you are to become conditioned in our creed.] Thus inspired to them (the messengers) their Rabb, [We are to destroy the people in darkness.]
⦿
And those who disbelieved said unto their messengers: Verily we will drive you out from our land, unless ye return to our religion. Then their Lord inspired them, (saying): Verily we shall destroy the wrong-doers, - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
But the faithless said to their apostles, [Surely we will expel you from our land, or you shall revert to our creed.] Thereat their Lord revealed to them: [We will surely destroy the wrongdoers, - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The disbelievers told the Messengers, [We shall expel you from our land unless you revert to our religion.] Their Lord then sent them (the messengers) a revelation, [We have decided to destroy the unjust - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And those who disbelieved said to their apostles: We will most certainly drive you forth from our land, or else you shall come back into our religion. So their Lord revealed to them: Most certainly We will destroy the unjust. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Those who deny the truth said to their messengers, [We shall banish you from our land unless you return to our ways.] But their Lord inspired the messengers, saying, [We shall destroy the evil-doers, - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا کہ ہم تم کو اپنی سرزمین سے نکال باہر کردیں گے یا تم ہمارے مذہب کی طرف پلٹ آؤ گے تو پروردگار نے ان کی طرف وحی کی کہ خبردار گھبراؤ نہیں ہم یقینا ظالمین کو تباہ و برباد کردیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار منکرین نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہہ دیا کہ ——یا تو تمہیں ہماری ملت میں واپس آنا ہوگا ورنہ ہم تمہیں اپنے ملک سے نکال دیں گے—— تب اُن کے رب نے اُن پر وحی بھیجی کہ ——ہم اِن ظالموں کو ہلا ک کر دیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا ہم ضرور تمہیں اپنی زمین سے نکال دیں گے یا تم ہمارے دین پر کچھ ہوجاؤ، تو انہیں ان کے رب نے وحی بھیجی کہ ہم ضرور ظالموں کو ہلاک کریں گے - Ahmed Raza

اور کافروں نے اپنے رسولوں سے کہا کہ ہم تمہیں اپنی سر زمین سے نکال دیں گے یا پھر تم ہمارے مذہب میں لوٹ آؤ اور تب ان کے پروردگار نے ان پر وحی بھیجی کہ ہم ان ظالموں کو ضرور ہلاک کر دیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ
[And We will establish you in
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the land
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِمْ
after them;
ۚ
ذَٰلِكَ
that is
لِمَنْ
for who
خَافَ
fears
مَقَامِى
My position
وَخَافَ
and fears
وَعِيدِ
My promise.]
[And We will establish you in the land from after them; that is for who fears My position and fears My promise.]

And verily We shall make you to dwell in the land after them. This is for him who feareth My Majesty and feareth My threats. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور تمہیں ان کے بعد زمین میں آباد کردیں گے اور یہ سب ان لوگوں کے لئے ہے جو ہمارے مقام اور مرتبہ سے ڈرتے ہیں اور ہمارے عذاب کا خوف رکھتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And they sought victory,
وَخَابَ
while disappointed was
كُلُّ

جَبَّارٍ
prideful
عَنِيدٍۢ
tyrant.
And they sought victory, while disappointed was every prideful tyrant.

And they sought help (from their Lord) and every froward potentate was bought to naught; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They prayed for victory [against the infidels], and every obstinate tyrant was defeated, - Qarai, Ali Quli
