Or is it that
يَقُولُونَ
they say,
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ
[He has invented it!]?
ۖ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنِ
[If
ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ
I have invented it
فَعَلَىَّ
then upon me
إِجْرَامِى
are my crimes,
وَأَنَا۠
and I am
بَرِىٓءٌۭ
free
مِّمَّا
from what
تُجْرِمُونَ
crimes you commit.]

٣٥
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ إِنِ ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ فَعَلَىَّ إِجْرَامِى وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ Or is it that they say, [He has invented it!]? Say, [If I have invented it then upon me are my crimes, and I am free from what crimes you commit.]

Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do they say, [He has fabricated it?] Say, [Should I have fabricated it, then my guilt will be upon me, and I am absolved of your guilty conduct.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do they say that Muhammad has falsely ascribed (the Quran) to God? (Muhammad), tell them [Had I falsely ascribed it to God, I shall be responsible for my own sins. I am certainly not responsible for whatever sins you commit! - Sarwar, Muhammad

Or do they say: He has forged it? Say: If I have forged it, on me is my guilt, and I am clear of that of which you are guilty. - Shakir, Habib

If they say, [He has invented it himself,] say to them, [If I have indeed invented this myself, then may I be punished for my sin; I am innocent of the crimes that you commit.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اے محمدؐ، کیا یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ اِس شخص نے یہ سب کچھ خود گھڑ لیا ہے؟ ان سے کہو ——اگر میں نے یہ خود گھڑا ہے تو مجھ پر اپنے جرم کی ذمہ داری ہے، اور جو جرم تم کر رہے ہو اس کی ذمہ داری سے میں بری ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And was revealed
إِلَىٰ

نُوحٍ
Nooh,
أَنَّهُۥ
[Indeed it is that
لَن
never will
يُؤْمِنَ
be convinced
مِن
from
قَوْمِكَ
your nation,
إِلَّا
except
مَن
who
قَدْ
already has
ءَامَنَ
become certain,
فَلَا
thus
تَبْتَئِسْ
do not feel dejected
بِمَا
about what
كَانُوا۟
they have been
يَفْعَلُونَ
doing.]
١١
٣٦
وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِن قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدْ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ And was revealed to Nooh, [Indeed it is that never will be convinced from your nation, except who already has become certain, thus do not feel dejected about what they have been doing.]

And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It was revealed to Noah: [None of your people will believe except those who already have faith; so do not sorrow for what they used to do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It was revealed to Noah that besides those who had already accepted his faith, no one from his people would ever believe him. He was told not to be disappointed about what his people had done, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And it was revealed to Nuh: That none of your people will believe except those who have already believed, therefore do not grieve at what they do: - Shakir, Habib

God's will was revealed to Noah, [No more of your people will believe in you than those who already believe; do not grieve, therefore, over what they have been doing. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نوح کی طرف یہ وحی کی گئی کہ تمہاری قوم میں سے اب کوئی ایمان نہ لائے گا علاوہ ان کے جو ایمان لاچکے لہذا تم ان کے افعال سے رنجیدہ نہ ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ پر وحی کی گئی کہ تمہاری قوم میں سے جو لوگ ایمان لا چکے بس وہ لا چکے، اب کوئی ماننے والا نہیں ہے ان کے کرتوتوں پر غم کھانا چھوڑو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نوح کو وحی ہوئی تمہاری قوم سے مسلمان نہ ہوں گے مگر جتنے ایمان لاچکے تو غم نہ کھا اس پر جو وہ کرتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

وَٱصْنَعِ
[So build
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the Ark
بِأَعْيُنِنَا
according to Our vision],
وَوَحْيِنَا
and We also revealed,
وَلَا
[And do not
تُخَٰطِبْنِى
talk to Me
فِى
in (matter of)
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ظَلَمُوٓا۟
are in darkness;
ۚ
إِنَّهُم
indeed they are
مُّغْرَقُونَ
to be drowned.]
١١
٣٧
وَٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ [So build the Ark according to Our vision], and We also revealed, [And do not talk to Me in (matter of) the ones who are in darkness; indeed they are to be drowned.]

Build the ship under Our eyes and by Our inspiration, and speak not unto Me on behalf of those who do wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Build the ark before Our eyes and by Our revelation, and do not plead with Me for those who are wrongdoers: they shall indeed be drowned.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

but to build the Ark under the supervision and guidance of his Lord. He was also told not to address any words to Him concerning the unjust for they were all to be drowned. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned. - Shakir, Habib

Build the Ark under Our eyes and in accordance with Our revelation. Do not plead with Me concerning the evil-doers. They shall certainly be drowned.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہماری نگاہوں کے سامنے ہماری وحی کی نگرانی میں کشتی تیار کرو اور ظالموں کے بارے میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرو کہ یہ سب غرق ہوجانے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور کشتی بناؤ ہمارے سامنے اور ہمارے حکم سے اور ظالموں کے بارے میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرنا وہ ضرور ڈوبائے جائیں گے - Ahmed Raza

And he made
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the Ark,
وَكُلَّمَا
and every which
مَرَّ
time
عَلَيْهِ
came upto him
مَلَأٌۭ
religious clerics
مِّن
from
قَوْمِهِۦ
his nation,
سَخِرُوا۟
they made fun
مِنْهُ
of it.
ۚ
قَالَ
(Nooh) said,
إِن
[If
تَسْخَرُوا۟
you make fun
مِنَّا
of us,
فَإِنَّا
then it is that
نَسْخَرُ
we make fun
مِنكُمْ
of you
كَمَا
just how
تَسْخَرُونَ
you are making fun.]
١١
٣٨
وَيَصْنَعُ ٱلْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌۭ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُ ۚ قَالَ إِن تَسْخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ And he made the Ark, and every which time came upto him religious clerics from his nation, they made fun of it. (Nooh) said, [If you make fun of us, then it is that we make fun of you just how you are making fun.]

And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

As he was building the ark, whenever the elders of his people passed by him, they would ridicule him. He said, [If you ridicule us [today], we shall ridicule you [tomorrow] just as you ridicule us [now]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Noah) started to build the Ark but whenever some of his people passed by, they would mock him. He in return would reply, [Mock us, but just as you mock us, we, too, will mock you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he began to make the ark; and whenever the chiefs from among his people passed by him they laughed at him. He said: If you laugh at us, surely we too laugh at you as you laugh (at us). - Shakir, Habib

So he began to build the Ark, and whenever leaders of his people passed by, they scoffed at him. He said, [If you are scoffing at us, we shall scoff at you [and your ignorance], just as you scoff at us: - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نوح کشتی بنارہے تھے اور جب بھی قوم کی کسی جماعت کا گزر ہوتا تھا تو ان کا مذاق اڑاتے تھے -نوح نے کہا کہ اگر تم ہمارا مذاق اڑاؤ گے تو کل ہم اسی طرح تمہارا بھی مذاق اڑائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ کشتی بنا رہا تھا اور اس کی قوم کے سرداروں میں سے جو کوئی اس کے پاس سے گزرتا تھا وہ اس کا مذاق اڑاتا تھا اس نے کہا ——اگر تم ہم پر ہنستے ہو تو ہم بھی تم پر ہنس رہے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نوح کشتی بناتا ہے اور جب اس کی قوم کے سردار اس پر گزرتے اس پر ہنستے بولا اگر تم ہم پر ہنستے ہو تو ایک وقت ہم تم پر ہنسیں گے جیسا تم ہنستے ہو - Ahmed Raza

چنانچہ نوح(ع) کشتی بنانے لگے اور جب بھی ان کی قوم کے سردار ان کے پاس سے گزرتے تو وہ ان کا مذاق اڑاتے وہ (نوح) کہتے اگر (آج) تم ہمارا مذاق اڑاتے ہو تو (کل کلاں) ہم بھی تمہارا اسی طرح مذاق اڑائیں گے جس طرح تم اڑا رہے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَسَوْفَ
[Then it will be that
تَعْلَمُونَ
you will know
مَن
to whom
يَأْتِيهِ
comes
عَذَابٌۭ
a punishment
يُخْزِيهِ
disgracing him,
وَيَحِلُّ
and is let loose
عَلَيْهِ
upon him
عَذَابٌۭ
a pain that is
مُّقِيمٌ
lasting.]
[Then it will be that you will know to whom comes a punishment disgracing him, and is let loose upon him a pain that is lasting.]

And ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Soon you will know whom a disgraceful punishment will overtake and on whom a lasting punishment will descend.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
You will soon learn who will face a humiliating punishment and will be encompassed by an everlasting torment.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

So shall you know who it is on whom will come a chastisement which will disgrace him, and on whom will lasting chastisement come down. - Shakir, Habib

you will soon come to know who will receive a humiliating punishment, and find unleashed against him an everlasting punishment.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہوجائے گا کہ جس کے پاس عذاب آتا ہے اسے رسوا کردیا جاتا ہے اور پھر وہ عذاب دائمی ہی ہوجاتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

عنقریب تمہیں خود معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس پر وہ عذاب آتا ہے جو اُسے رسوا کر دے گا اور کس پر وہ بلا ٹوٹ پڑتی ہے جو ٹالے نہ ٹلے گی—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو اب جان جاؤ گے کس پر آتا ہے وہ عذاب کہ اسے رسوا کرے اور اترتا ہے وہ عذاب جو ہمیشہ رہے - Ahmed Raza

عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس پر عذاب آتا ہے جو اسے رسوا کر دے گا اور کس پر دائمی عذاب نازل ہوتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Until
إِذَا
when
جَآءَ
came
أَمْرُنَا
Our command,
وَفَارَ
and bubbled up
ٱلتَّنُّورُ
the oven
قُلْنَا
We said,
ٱحْمِلْ
[Carry
فِيهَا
in it
مِن
of
كُلٍّۢ
all
زَوْجَيْنِ
couples
ٱثْنَيْنِ
doubled,
وَأَهْلَكَ
and your family
إِلَّا
— except
مَن
from ones whom
سَبَقَ
has passed
عَلَيْهِ
upon
ٱلْقَوْلُ
the word —
وَمَنْ
and (carry) who
ءَامَنَ
became sure.]
ۚ
وَمَآ
And not
ءَامَنَ
became sure
مَعَهُۥٓ
with him
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلٌۭ
a few.
١١
٤٠
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا ٱحْمِلْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّۢ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ ءَامَنَ ۚ وَمَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌۭ Until when came Our command, and bubbled up the oven We said, [Carry in it of all couples doubled, and your family — except from ones whom has passed upon the word — and (carry) who became sure.] And not became sure with him except a few.

(Thus it was) till, when Our commandment came to pass and the oven gushed forth water, We said: Load therein two of every kind, a pair (the male and female), and thy household, save him against whom the word hath gone forth already, and those who believe. And but a few were they who believed with him. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Our edict came and the oven gushed [a stream of water], We said, [Carry in it a pair of every kind [of animal], along with your family—except those [of them] against whom the edict has already been given—and those who have faith.] And none believed with him except a few. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When at last Our decree was fulfilled, water gushed forth from the Oven (in Noah's house). We told him to carry in the Ark a pair (male and female) from every species, his family - except those who were destined to perish - and the believers. No one believed in him, except a few. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Until when Our command came and water came forth from the valley, We said: Carry in it two of all things, a pair, and your own family-- except those against whom the word has already gone forth, and those who believe. And there believed not with him but a few. - Shakir, Habib

When Our command came, and water gushed forth in torrents, We said to Noah, [Take into the Ark a pair from every species, and your own family -- except those on whom the sentence has already been passed, and all the true believers.] But only a few believed along with him. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکم آگیا اور تنور سے پانی ابلنے لگا تو ہم نے کہا کہ نوح اپنے ساتھ ہر جوڑے میں سے دو کو لے لو اور اپنے اہل کو بھی لے لو علاوہ ان کے جن کے بارے میں ہلاکت کا فیصلہ ہوچکا ہے اور صاحبان هایمان کو بھی لے لو اور ان کے ساتھ ایمان والے بہت ہی کم تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکم آگیا اور وہ تنو ر ابل پڑا تو ہم نے کہا ——ہر قسم کے جانوروں کا ایک ایک جوڑا کشتی میں رکھ لو، اپنے گھر والوں کو بھی سوائے اُن اشخاص کے جن کی نشان دہی پہلے کی جا چکی ہے اس میں سوار کرا دو اور ان لوگوں کو بھی بٹھا لو جو ایمان لائے ہیں—— اور تھوڑے ہی لوگ تھے جو نوحؑ کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہاں تک کہ کہ جب ہمارا حکم آیا اور تنور اُبلا ہم نے فرمایا کشتی میں سوار کرلے ہر جنس میں سے ایک جوڑا نر و مادہ اور جن پر بات پڑچکی ہے ان کے سوا اپنے گھر والوں اور باقی مسلمانوں کو اور اس کے ساتھ مسلمان نہ تھے مگر تھوڑے - Ahmed Raza

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکم آگیا۔ اور تنور نے جوش مارا (ابل پڑا) تو ہم نے (نوح(ع) سے) کہا کہ ہر قسم کے جوڑوں میں سے دو دو (نر و مادہ) کو اس (کشتی) میں سوار کر لو۔ اور اپنے گھر والوں کو بھی بجز ان کے جن کی (ہلاکت کی) بات پہلے طئے ہو چکی ہے نیز ان کو بھی (سوار کر لو) جو ایمان لا چکے ہیں اور بہت ہی تھوڑے لوگ ان کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And (Nooh) said,
ٱرْكَبُوا۟
[Ride
فِيهَا
therein
بِسْمِ
— protection of
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
مَجْر۪ىٰهَا
its discourse
وَمُرْسَىٰهَآ
and its anchorage —
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
رَبِّى
my Rabb
لَغَفُورٌۭ
is forgivingly
رَّحِيمٌۭ
merciful.]
١١
٤١
وَقَالَ ٱرْكَبُوا۟ فِيهَا بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ مَجْر۪ىٰهَا وَمُرْسَىٰهَآ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ And (Nooh) said, [Ride therein — protection of the One is its discourse and its anchorage — surely my Rabb is forgivingly merciful.]

And he said: Embark therein! In the name of Allah be its course and its mooring. Lo! my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [Board it: In the Name of Allah it shall set sail and cast anchor. Indeed my Lord is all-forgiving, all-merciful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Noah) said, [Embark in it. It will sail in the name of God, in His Name it will sail and in His Name it will cast anchor. My Lord is All-forgiving and All-merciful]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he said: Embark in it, in the name of Allah be its sailing and its anchoring; most surely my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. - Shakir, Habib

Noah said, [Embark on it. In the name of God, it shall set sail and cast anchor. Truly, my Lord is forgiving and merciful.] - Wahiduddin Khan

نوح نے کہا کہ اب تم سب کشتی میں سوار ہوجاؤ خدا کے نام کے سہارے اس کا بہاؤ بھی ہے اور ٹھہراؤ بھی اور بیشک میرا پروردگار بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ نے کہا ——سوار ہو جاؤ اِس میں، اللہ ہی کے نام سے ہے اس کا چلنا بھی اور اس کا ٹھیرنا بھی، میرا رب بڑا غفور و رحیم ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بولا اس میں سوار ہو اللہ کے نام پر اس کا چلنا اور اس کا ٹھہرنا بیشک میرا رب ضرور بخشنے والا مہربان ہے، - Ahmed Raza

And it
تَجْرِى

with them,

مَوْجٍۢ
waves which were
كَٱلْجِبَالِ
like giant mountains;
وَنَادَىٰ
and called
نُوحٌ
Nooh
ٱبْنَهُۥ
his son,
وَكَانَ
and he was
فِى
in
مَعْزِلٍۢ
isolation,
يَٰبُنَىَّ
[O my son!
ٱرْكَب
Ride
مَّعَنَا
with us
وَلَا
and do not
تَكُن
be
مَّعَ
with
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
the denying people.]
١١
٤٢
وَهِىَ تَجْرِى بِهِمْ فِى مَوْجٍۢ كَٱلْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ٱبْنَهُۥ وَكَانَ فِى مَعْزِلٍۢ يَٰبُنَىَّ ٱرْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ And it floated with them, in waves which were like giant mountains; and called Nooh his son, and he was in isolation, [O my son! Ride with us and do not be with the denying people.]

And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains, and Noah cried unto his son - and he was standing aloof - O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And it sailed along with them amid waves [rising] like mountains. Noah called out to his son, who stood aloof, [O my son! [Board with us, and do not be with the faithless!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the Ark sailed on with them amid the mountainous waves, Noah called out to his son who kept away from them, [My son, embark with us. Do not stay with the unbelievers.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And it moved on with them amid waves like mountains; and Nuh called out to his son, and he was aloof: O my son! embark with us and be not with the unbelievers. - Shakir, Habib

The Ark sailed along with them through mountainous waves. Noah called out to his son who stood apart, [O my son! Embark with us and do not be among the deniers!] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور وہ کشتی انہیں لے کر پہاڑوں جیسی موجوں کے درمیان چلی جارہی تھی کہ نوح نے اپنے فرزند کو آواز دی جو الگ جگہ پر تھا کہ فرزند ہمارے ساتھ کشتی میں سوار ہوجا اور کافروں میں نہ ہوجا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کشتی ان لوگوں کو لیے چلی جا رہی تھی اور ایک ایک موج پہاڑ کی طرح اٹھ رہی تھی نوحؑ کا بیٹا دور فاصلے پر تھا نوحؑ نے پکار کر کہا ——بیٹا، ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہو جا، کافروں کے ساتھ نہ رہ—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہی انہیں لیے جارہی ہے ایسی موجوں میں جیسے پہاڑ اور نوح نے اپنے بیٹے کو پکارا اور وہ اس سے کنارے تھا اے میرے بچے ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہوجا اور کافروں کے ساتھ نہ ہو - Ahmed Raza

اور وہ (کشتی) انہیں ایسی موجوں (لہروں) میں سے لئے جا رہی تھی جو پہاڑوں جیسی تھیں اور نوح(ع) نے اپنے بیٹے کو آواز دی جوکہ الگ ایک گوشہ میں (کھڑا) تھا۔ اے میرے بیٹے! ہمارے ساتھ (کشتی میں) سوار ہو جا۔ اور کافروں کے ساتھ نہ ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

(Nooh's son) said,
سَـَٔاوِىٓ
[I will take refuge
إِلَىٰ
with
جَبَلٍۢ
a mountain,
يَعْصِمُنِى
that will hold me back
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمَآءِ
the water.]
ۚ
قَالَ
(Nooh) said,
لَا
[No
عَاصِمَ
holding back
ٱلْيَوْمَ
today
مِنْ
from
أَمْرِ
command of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
إِلَّا
except
مَن
who
رَّحِمَ
has been given mercy.]
ۚ
وَحَالَ
And came
بَيْنَهُمَا
between them both
ٱلْمَوْجُ
the wave,
فَكَانَ
and thus he was
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُغْرَقِينَ
the ones who drowned.
١١
٤٣
قَالَ سَـَٔاوِىٓ إِلَىٰ جَبَلٍۢ يَعْصِمُنِى مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ ۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ۚ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُغْرَقِينَ (Nooh's son) said, [I will take refuge with a mountain, that will hold me back from the water.] (Nooh) said, [No holding back today from command of the One except who has been given mercy.] And came between them both the wave, and thus he was of the ones who drowned.

He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy. And the wave came in between them, so he was among the drowned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [I shall take refuge on a mountain; it will protect me from the flood.] He said, [There is none today who can protect from Allah]s edict, except someone upon whom He has mercy.] Then the waves came between them, and he was among those who were drowned. - Qarai, Ali Quli

His son replied, [I shall climb up a mountain and this will save me from the flood.] Noah said, [No one can escape on this day from God's command except those on whom He has mercy.] The waves separated Noah from his son who was then drowned with the rest (of the unbelievers). - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: I will betake myself for refuge to a mountain that shall protect me from the water. Nuh said: There is no protector today from Allah's punishment but He Who has mercy; and a wave intervened between them, so he was of the drowned. - Shakir, Habib

He replied, [I shall seek refuge on a mountain, which will save me from the water.] Noah cried, [Today there is no refuge for anyone from God's command except for those to whom He shows mercy!] Thereupon, a wave swept in between them, and Noah's son was among those who were drowned. - Wahiduddin Khan

اس نے کہا کہ میں عنقریب پہاڑ پر پناہ لے لوں گا وہ مجھے پانی سے بچالے گا -نوح نے کہا کہ آج حکم خدا سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں ہے سوائے اس کے جس پر خود خدا رحم کرے اور پھر دونوں کے درمیان موج حائل ہوگئی اور وہ ڈوبنے والوں میں شامل ہوگیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُس نے پلٹ کر جواب دیا ——میں ابھی ایک پہاڑ پر چڑھا جاتا ہوں جو مجھے پانی سے بچا لے گا—— نوحؑ نے کہا، آج کوئی چیز اللہ کے حکم سے بچانے والی نہیں ہے سوائے اِس کے کہ اللہ ہی کسی پر رحم فرمائے—— اتنے میں ایک موج دونوں کے درمیان حائل ہو گئی اور وہ بھی ڈوبنے والوں میں شامل ہو گیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولا اب میں کسی پہاڑ کی پناہ لیتا ہوں وہ مجھے پانی سے بچالے گا، کہا آج اللہ کے عذاب سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں مگر جس پر وہ رحم کرے اور ان کے بیچ میں موج آڑے آئی تو وہ ڈوبتوں میں رہ گیا - Ahmed Raza

اس نے کہا میں ابھی کسی پہاڑ پر پناہ لے لوں گا جو مجھے پانی سے بچائے گا نوح(ع) نے کہا (بیٹا) آج اللہ کے امر (عذاب) سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں ہے۔ سوائے اس کے جس پر وہ (اللہ) رحم فرمائے۔ اور پھر (اچانک) ان کے درمیان موج حائل ہوگئی پس وہ ڈوبنے والوں میں سے ہوگیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And was said,
يَٰٓأَرْضُ
[O Earth!
ٱبْلَعِى
Swallow
مَآءَكِ
your water,
وَيَٰسَمَآءُ
and o sky!
أَقْلِعِى
Turn off
وَغِيضَ
and diminish
ٱلْمَآءُ
the water],
وَقُضِىَ
and came to be
ٱلْأَمْرُ
the command,
وَٱسْتَوَتْ
and (the Ark) was balanced
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْجُودِىِّ
the goodness;
ۖ
وَقِيلَ
and was said,
بُعْدًۭا
[(See you) later.],
لِّلْقَوْمِ
for the nation of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the people in darkness.
١١
٤٤
وَقِيلَ يَٰٓأَرْضُ ٱبْلَعِى مَآءَكِ وَيَٰسَمَآءُ أَقْلِعِى وَغِيضَ ٱلْمَآءُ وَقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَٱسْتَوَتْ عَلَى ٱلْجُودِىِّ ۖ وَقِيلَ بُعْدًۭا لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ And was said, [O Earth! Swallow your water, and o sky! Turn off and diminish the water], and came to be the command, and (the Ark) was balanced upon the goodness; and was said, [(See you) later.], for the nation of the people in darkness.

And it was said: O earth! Swallow thy water and, O sky! be cleared of clouds! And the water was made to subside. And the commandment was fulfilled. And it (the ship) came to rest upon (the mount) Al-Judi and it was said: A far removal for wrongdoing folk! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then it was said, [O earth, swallow your water! O sky, leave off!] The waters receded; the edict was carried out, and it settled on [Mount] Judi. Then it was said, [Away with the wrongdoing lot!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Then the earth was told to swallow-up its water and the sky was ordered to stop raining. The water abated and God's command had been fulfilled. The Ark came to rest on Mount Judi. A voice said, [The unjust people are far away from the mercy of God.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And it was said: O earth, swallow down your water, and O cloud, clear away; and the water was made to abate and the affair was decided, and the ark rested on the Judi, and it was said: Away with the unjust people. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
A voice cried out, [Earth, swallow up your waters. O sky, cease your rain.] The waters receded. The command was fulfilled. The Ark came to rest on Mount Judi. It was said, [Away with the wrong-doing people.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور قدرت کا حکم ہوا کہ اے زمین اپنے پانی کو نگل لے اور اے آسمان اپنے پانی کو روک لے .اور پھر پانی گھٹ گیا اور کام تمام کردیا گیا اور کشتی کوئہ جودی پر ٹھہر گئی اور آواز آئی کہ ہلاکت قوم هظالمین کے لئے ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

حکم ہوا ——اے زمین، اپنا سارا پانی نگل جا اور اے آسمان، رک جا—— چنانچہ پانی زمین میں بیٹھ گیا، فیصلہ چکا دیا گیا، کشتی جودی پر ٹک گئی، اور کہہ دیا گیا کہ دور ہوئی ظالموں کی قو م! - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور حکم فرمایا گیا کہ اے زمین! اپنا پانی نگل لے اور اے آسمان! تھم جا اور پانی خشک کردیا گیا اور کام تمام ہوا اور کشتی کوہ ِ جودی پر ٹھہری اور فرمایا گیا کہ دور ہوں بے انصاف لوگ، - Ahmed Raza

اور ارشاد ہوا اے زمین! اپنا پانی نگل لے اور اے آسمان تھم جا۔ اور پانی اتر گیا اور معاملہ طئے کر دیا گیا اور کشی کوہِ جودی پر ٹھہر گئی اور کہا گیا ہلاکت ہو ظلم کرنے والوں کے لئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And called
نُوحٌۭ
Nooh
رَّبَّهُۥ
his Rabb
فَقَالَ
(thus) said,
رَبِّ
[Rabb!
إِنَّ
Surely
ٱبْنِى
my son is
مِنْ
of
أَهْلِى
my family,
وَإِنَّ
and that
وَعْدَكَ
Your promise is
ٱلْحَقُّ
factual,
وَأَنتَ
and You are
أَحْكَمُ
wisest of
ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
the deciders.]
١١
٤٥
وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌۭ رَّبَّهُۥ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبْنِى مِنْ أَهْلِى وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ And called Nooh his Rabb (thus) said, [Rabb! Surely my son is of my family, and that Your promise is factual, and You are wisest of the deciders.]

And Noah cried unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Lo! my son is of my household! Surely Thy promise is the truth and Thou are the Most Just of Judges. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Noah called out to his Lord, and said, [My Lord! My son is indeed from my family. Your promise is indeed true, and You are the fairest of all judges.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Noah prayed to his Lord saying, [Lord, my son is a member of my family. Your promise is always true and you are the best Judge]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Nuh cried out to his Lord and said: My Lord! surely my son is of my family, and Thy promise is surely true, and Thou art the most just of the judges. - Shakir, Habib

Noah called out to his Lord, saying, [My Lord, my son was a part of my family. Your promise was surely true. You are the most just of all judges.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نوح نے اپنے پروردگار کو پکارا کہ پروردگار میرا فرزند میرے اہل میں سے ہے اور تیرا وعدہ اہل کو بچانے کا برحق ہے اور تو بہترین فیصلہ کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan
