وَذَرُوا۟

ظَٰهِرَ

ٱلْإِثْمِ

وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ

إِنَّ

ٱلَّذِينَ

يَكْسِبُونَ

ٱلْإِثْمَ

سَيُجْزَوْنَ

بِمَا

[untranslated]

كَانُوا۟

[untranslated]

يَقْتَرِفُونَ

١٢٠

وَذَرُوا۟ ظَٰهِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ ٱلْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَقْتَرِفُونَ

⦿

Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.

Renounce outward sins and the inward ones. Indeed those who commit sins shall be requited for what they used to commit.

Stay away from both public and secret sins for a sinner will suffer for whatever he has committed.

تم کھلے گناہوں سے بھی بچو اور چھپے گناہوں سے بھی، جو لوگ گناہ کا اکتساب کرتے ہیں وہ اپنی اس کمائی کا بدلہ پاکر رہیں گے

اور چھوڑ دو کھلا اور چھپا گناہ، وہ جو گناہ کماتے ہیں عنقریب اپنی کمائی کی سزا پائیں گے،

اور (اے لوگو) تمام گناہوں کو چھوڑ دو خواہ علانیہ ہوں اور خواہ خفیہ بے شک جو لوگ گناہ کما (کر) رہے ہیں عنقریب ان کو بدلہ دیا جائے گا اس کا جس کا وہ ارتکاب کرتے ہیں۔

The Bounties [ 6:121 ] الأنعام

وَلَا

And do not

تَأْكُلُوا۟

consume

مِمَّا

from that which

لَمْ

not

يُذْكَرِ

reminds

ٱسْمُ

qualities of

ٱللَّهِ

the One

عَلَيْهِ

upon it,

وَإِنَّهُۥ

and indeed it is

لَفِسْقٌۭ

liberalism;

وَإِنَّ

and indeed

ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ

the devils

لَيُوحُونَ

have been inspiring

إِلَىٰٓ

towards

أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ

their friends

لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ

for arguing with you,

وَإِنْ

and if

أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ

you obey them

إِنَّكُمْ

then indeed you are

لَمُشْرِكُونَ

of the ones who associate partners.

١٢١

وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسْقٌۭ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ

And do not consume from that which not reminds qualities of the One upon it, and indeed it is liberalism; and indeed the devils have been inspiring towards their friends for arguing with you, and if you obey them then indeed you are of the ones who associate partners.

And eat not of that whereon Allah's name hath not been mentioned, for lo! it is abomination. Lo! the devils do inspire their minions to dispute with you. But if ye obey them, ye will be in truth idolaters.

Do not eat [anything] of that over which Allah]s Name has not been mentioned, and that is indeed transgression. Indeed the satans inspire their friends to dispute with you; and if you obey them, you will indeed be polytheists.

Do not eat the flesh of an animal which has been slaughtered without a mention of the Name of God; it is a sinful deed. Satan teaches his friends to argue with you. If you obey them, you will certainly be idol worshippers.

And do not eat of that on which Allah's name has not been mentioned, and that is most surely a transgression; and most surely the Shaitans suggest to their friends that they should contend with you; and if you obey them, you shall most surely be polytheists.

and do not eat anything over which God's name has not been pronounced, for that surely is disobedience. The devils inspire their followers to argue with you. If you obey them, you will become of those who associate partners with God.

اور دیکھو جس پر ناهِ خدا نہ لیا گیا ہو اسے نہ کھانا کہ یہ فسق ہے اور شیاطین تو اپنے والوں کی طرف خفیہ اشارے کرتے ہی رہتے ہیں تاکہ یہ لوگ تم سے جھگڑا کریں اور اگر تم لوگوں نے ان کی اطاعت کر لی تو تمہارا شمار بھی مشرکین میں ہوجائے گا

اور جس جانور کو اللہ کا نام لے کر ذبح نہ کیا گیا ہو اس کا گوشت نہ کھاؤ، ایسا کرنا فسق ہے شیاطین اپنے ساتھیوں کے دلوں میں شکوک و اعتراضات القا کرتے ہیں تاکہ وہ تم سے جھگڑا کریں لیکن اگر تم نے اُن کی اطاعت قبول کر لی تو یقیناً تم مشرک ہو

اور اُسے نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام نہ لیا گیا اور وہ بیشک حکم عدولی ہے، اور بیشک شیطان اپنے دوستوں کے دلوں میں ڈالتے ہیں کہ تم سے جھگڑیں اور اگر تم ان کا کہنا مانو تو اس وقت تم مشرک ہو

اور اس (جانور) کو نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام نہ لیا گیا ہو۔ کہ یہ (کھانا) فسق (نافرمانی) ہے اور بے شک شیطان اپنے دوستوں کو خفیہ اشارے کرتے ہیں (پٹی پڑھاتے ہیں) تاکہ وہ تم سے جھگڑا کریں اور اگر تم نے ان کی اطاعت کر لی (ان کا کہنا مانا) تو یقینا تم مشرک ہو جاؤ گے۔

يَعْمَلُونَ

١٢٢

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًۭا فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورًۭا يَمْشِى بِهِۦ فِى ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍۢ مِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

⦿

Is he who was dead and We have raised him unto life, and set for him a light wherein he walketh among men, as him whose similitude is in utter darkness whence he cannot emerge? Thus is their conduct made fairseeming for the disbelievers.

Is he who was lifeless, then We gave him life and provided him with a light by which he walks among the people, like one who dwells in a manifold darkness which he cannot leave? To the faithless is thus presented as decorous what they have been doing.

Can the dead to whom We have given life and light so that they may walk among the people, be considered equal to those who can never come out of darkness? The deeds of the unbelievers are made to seem attractive to them.

Is he who was dead then We raised him to life and made for him a light by which he walks among the people, like him whose likeness is that of one in utter darkness whence he cannot come forth? Thus what they did was made fair seeming to the unbelievers.

کیا جو شخص مفِدہ تھا پھر ہم نے اسے زندہ کیااوراس کے لئے ایک نور قرار دیا جس کے سہارے وہ لوگوں کے درمیان چلتا ہے اس کی مثال اس کی جیسی ہوسکتی ہے جو تاریکیوں میں ہو اور ان سے نکل بھی نہ سکتا ہو -اسی طرح کفار کے لئے ان کے اعمال کو آراستہ کردیا گیا ہے

کیا وہ شخص جو پہلے مُردہ تھا پھر ہم نے اسے زندگی بخشی اور اس کو وہ روشنی عطا کی جس کے اجالے میں وہ لوگوں کے درمیان زندگی کی راہ طے کرتا ہے اُس شخص کی طرح ہو سکتا ہے جو تاریکیوں میں پڑا ہوا ہو اور کسی طرح اُن سے نہ نکلتا ہو؟ کافروں کے لیے تو اسی طرح ان کے اعمال خوشنما بنا دیے گئے ہیں

اور کیا وہ کہ مردہ تھا تو ہم نے اسے زندہ کیا اور اس کے لیے ایک نور کردیا جس سے لوگوں میں چلتا ہے وہ اس جیسا ہوجائے گا جو اندھیریوں میں ہے ان سے نکلنے والا نہیں، یونہی کافروں کی آنکھ میں ان کے اعمال بھلے کردیے گئے ہیں،

اور کیا وہ شخص جو (پہلے) مردہ تھا پھر ہم نے اسے زندہ کیا اور اس کے لئے ایک نور بنایا جس کے ساتھ وہ لوگوں میں چلتا پھرتا ہے اس شخص کی طرح ہو سکتا ہے جو تاریکیوں میں پڑا ہوا ہے اور ان سے نکل نہیں سکتا۔ جس طرح مؤمن کی نگاہ میں ایمان آراستہ کیا گیا ہے اسی طرح کافروں کی نگاہ میں ان کے اعمال آراستہ کر دیئے گئے ہیں۔

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ

⦿

And thus have We made in every city great ones of its wicked ones, that they should plot therein. They do but plot against themselves, though they perceive not.

Thus have We installed in every town its major criminals that they may plot therein. Yet they do not plot except against their own souls, but they are not aware.

In every town We have placed some sinful leaders who always make evil plans. These plans will only work against their own souls but they do not realize this.

And thus have We made in every town the great ones to be its guilty ones, that they may plan therein; and they do not plan but against their own souls, and they do not perceive.

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر قریہ میں بڑے بڑے مجرمین کو موقع دیا ہے کہ وہ مکاّری کریں اور ان کی مکاّری کا اثر خود ان کے علاوہ کسی پر نہیں ہوتا ہے لیکن انہیں اس کا بھی شعور نہیں ہے

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر بستی میں اس کے بڑے بڑے مجرموں کو لگا دیا ہے کہ وہاں اپنے مکر و فریب کا جال پھیلائیں دراصل وہ اپنے فریب کے جال میں آپ پھنستے ہیں، مگر اُنہیں اس کا شعور نہیں ہے

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر بستی میں اس کے مجرموں کے سرغنہ کیے کہ اس میں داؤ کھیلیں اور داؤں نہیں کھیلتے مگر اپنی جانوں پر اور انہیں شعورنہیں

اور (جس طرح ہم نے مکہ کے فاسقوں کو بڑا بنایا) اسی طرح ہم نے ہر بستی میں اس کے مجرمین کو بڑا سردار بنایا ہے تاکہ وہ وہاں مکر و فریب کیا کریں حالانکہ وہ فریب نہیں دیتے مگر اپنے آپ کو لیکن انہیں اس کا شعور نہیں ہے۔

وَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌۭ قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤْتَىٰ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِ ۘ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۗ سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَمْكُرُونَ

⦿

And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till we are given that which Allah's messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their scheming.

When a sign comes to them, they say, [We will not believe until we are given the like of what was given to Allah]s apostles.] Allah knows best where to place His apostleship! Soon the guilty will be visited by a degradation and severe punishment from Allah because of the plots they used to devise.

When a miracle is shown to them, they say, [We will not believe unless we are shown a miracle like that shown to the messengers of God.] God knows best whom to appoint as His Messenger. The sinful ones are worthless in the sight of God and they deserve a severe punishment for their evil plans.

And when a communication comes to them they say: We will not believe till we are given the like of what Allah's apostles are given. Allah best knows where He places His message. There shall befall those who are guilty humiliation from Allah and severe chastisement because of what they planned.

When a sign comes to them, they say, [We will not believe in it until we are given what God's messengers have been given. But God knows best whom to appoint as His Messenger. Humiliation before God and severe torment will befall the evil-doers for their scheming.

اور جب ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آتی ہے تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اس وقت تک ایمان نہ لائیں گے جب تک ہمیں بھی ویسی ہی وحی نہ دی جائے جیسی رسولوں کو دی گئی ہے جب کہ اللہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ اپنی رسالت کو کہاں رکھے گا اور عنقریب مجرمین کو ان کے جرم کی پاداش میں خدا کے یہاں ذلّت اور شدید ترین عذاب کا سامنا کرنا ہوگا

جب ان کے سامنے کوئی آیت آتی ہے تو وہ کہتے ہیں ——ہم نہ مانیں گے جب تک کہ وہ چیز خود ہم کو نہ دی جائے جو اللہ کے رسولوں کو دی گئی ہے—— اللہ زیادہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ اپنی پیغامبری کا کام کس سے لے اور کس طرح لے قریب ہے وہ وقت جب یہ مجرم اپنی مکاریوں کی پاداش میں اللہ کے ہاں ذلت اور سخت عذاب سے دو چار ہوں گے

اور جب ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آئے تو کہتے ہی ہم ہر گز ایمان نہ لائیں گے جب تک ہمیں بھی ویسا ہی نہ ملے جیسا اللہ کے رسولوں کو ملا اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جہاں اپنی رسالت رکھے عنقریب مجرموں کو اللہ کے یہاں ذلت پہنچے گی اور سخت عذاب بدلہ ان کے مکر کا،

اور جب ان کے پاس کوئی معجزہ آتا ہے تو وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اس وقت تک ہرگز ایمان نہیں لائیں گے جب تک ہم کو بھی وہی نہ دیا جائے جو اللہ کے رسولوں کو دیا گیا ہے۔ اللہ بہتر جانتا ہے کہ اپنی رسالت کو کہاں رکھے؟ (اس کا اہل کون ہے؟) عنقریب مجرموں کو اللہ کے یہاں ذلت نصیب ہوگی اور سخت عذاب بھی ہوگا ان کی ان مکاریوں کی وجہ سے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔

فَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُۥ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُۥ لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ ۖ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُۥ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُۥ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًۭا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His Will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.

Whomever Allah desires to guide, He opens his breast to Islam, and whomever He desires to lead astray, He makes his breast narrow and straitened as if he were climbing to a height. Thus does Allah lay [spiritual] defilement on those who do not have faith.

God will open the hearts of whomever He wants to guide to Islam, but He will tighten the chest of one whom He has led astray, as though he was climbing high up into the sky. Thus, God places wickedness on those who do not accept the faith.

پس (یہ حقیقت ہے کہ) جسے اللہ ہدایت بخشنے کا ارادہ کرتا ہے اُس کا سینہ اسلام کے لیے کھول دیتا ہے اور جسے گمراہی میں ڈالنے کا ارادہ کرتا ہے اُس کے سینے کو تنگ کر دیتا ہے اور ایسا بھینچتا ہے کہ (اسلام کا تصور کرتے ہی) اُسے یوں معلوم ہونے لگتا ہے کہ گویا اس کی روح آسمان کی طرف پرواز کر رہی ہے اِس طرح اللہ (حق سے فرار اور نفرت کی) ناپاکی اُن لوگوں پر مسلط کر دیتا ہے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے

The Bounties [ 6:126 ] الأنعام

وَهَٰذَا

And this is

صِرَٰطُ

path of

رَبِّكَ

your Rabb

مُسْتَقِيمًۭا

that is stable;

قَدْ

certainly

فَصَّلْنَا

We make distinct

ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ

the signs

لِقَوْمٍۢ

for a nation

يَذَّكَّرُونَ

who would remember.

١٢٦

وَهَٰذَا صِرَٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًۭا ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

And this is path of your Rabb that is stable; certainly We make distinct the signs for a nation who would remember.

لَهُمْ

For them is

دَارُ

home of

ٱلسَّلَٰمِ

the security

عِندَ

from

رَبِّهِمْ

their Rabb;

and He

وَلِيُّهُم

protects them

بِمَا

due to what

كَانُوا۟

they

يَعْمَلُونَ

do.

١٢٧

لَهُمْ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

For them is home of the security from their Rabb; and He protects them due to what they do.

For them is the abode of peace with their Lord. He will be their Protecting Friend because of what they used to do.

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍۢ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثْوَىٰكُمْ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

In the day when He will gather them together (He will say): O ye assembly of the jinn! Many of humankind did ye seduce. And their adherents among humankind will say: Our Lord! We enjoyed one another, but now we have arrived at the appointed term which Thou appointedst for us. He will say: Fire is your home. Abide therein for ever, save him whom Allah willeth (to deliver). Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware.

On the day He will gather them all together, [He will say], [O company of jinn! You claimed many of the humans.] Their friends from among the humans will say, [Our Lord, we used each other, and we completed our term which You had appointed for us.] He will say, [The Fire is your abode, to remain in it [forever], except what Allah may wish.] Indeed your Lord is all-wise, all-knowing.

On the day when every one will be resurrected and the jinn will be told that they have made many people go astray, their friends from among people will say, [Lord, we benefitted from each other until death approached us.] They will be told that their dwelling will be fire wherein they will live forever unless God wills it to be otherwise. Your Lord is All-wise and All-knowing.

And on the day when He shall gather them all together: O assembly of jinn! you took away a great part of mankind. And their friends from among the men shall say: Our Lord! some of us profited by others and we have reached our appointed term which Thou didst appoint for us. He shall say: The fire is your abode, to abide in it, except as Allah is pleased; surely your Lord is Wise, Knowing.

Surely your Lord is wise and all knowing.

اور جس دن وہ سب کو محشور کرے گا تو کہے گا کہ اے گروہ هجناّت تم نے تو اپنے کوانسانوں سے زیادہ بنا لیا تھا اور انسانوں میں ان کے دوست کہیں گے کہ پروردگار ہم میں سب نے ایک دوسرے سے فائدہ اٹھایا ہے اور اب ہم اس مدّت کو پہنچ گئے ہیں جو تو نے ہماری مہلت کے واسطے معین کی تھی .ارشاد ہوگا تواب تمہارا ٹھکانہ جہّنم ہے جہاں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہنا ہے مگر یہ کہ خدا ہی آزادی چاہ لے -بیشک تمہارا پروردگار صاحب هحکمت بھی ہے اور جاننے والا بھی ہے

جس روز اللہ ان سب لوگوں کو گھیر کر جمع کرے گا، اس روز وہ جنوں سے خطاب کر کے فرمائے گا کہ ——ا ے گروہ جن! تم نے نوع انسانی پر خوب ہاتھ صاف کیا—— انسانوں میں سے جو اُن کے رفیق تھے وہ عرض کریں گے ——پروردگار! ہم میں سے ہر ایک نے دوسرے کو خو ب استعمال کیا ہے، اور اب ہم اُس وقت پر آ پہنچے ہیں جو تو نے ہمارے لیے مقرر کر دیا تھا—— اللہ فرمائے گا ——اچھا اب آگ تمہارا ٹھکانا ہے، اس میں تم ہمیشہ رہو گے—— ا——س سے بچیں گے صرف وہی جنہیں اللہ بچانا چاہے گا، بے شک تمہارا رب دانا اور علیم ہے

اور جس دن اُن سب کو اٹھانے گا اور فرمائے گا، اے جن کے گروہ! تم نے بہت آدمی گھیرلیے اور ان کے دوست آدمی عرض کریں گے اے ہمارے رب! ہم میں ایک نے دوسرے سے فائدہ اٹھایا اور ہم اپنی اس میعاد کو پہنچ گئے جو تو نے ہمارے لیے مقرر فرمائی تھی فرمائے گا آگ تمہارا ٹھکانا ہے ہمیشہ اس میں رہو مگر جسے خدا چاہے اے محبوب! بیشک تمہارا رب حکمت والا علم والا ہے،

اور (وہ دن یاد کرو) جس دن وہ (اللہ) سب (جن و انس) کو محشر میں جمع کرے گا (اور جنات سے خطاب کرکے فرمائے گا) کہ اے گروہِ جن! تم نے بہت انسانوں کو گمراہ کیا (اس وقت) وہ آدمی جو ان (جنات) کے دوست و رفیق ہوں گے کہیں گے اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم سب نے ایک دوسرے سے خوب فائدہ اٹھایا اور اب ہم اپنی اس میعاد کو پہنچ گئے ہیں جو تو نے ہمارے لئے مقرر کی تھی۔ اللہ فرمائے گا اب تمہارا ٹھکانہ دوزخ ہے جس میں تم ہمیشہ رہوگے۔ سوائے اس کے جسے اللہ (بچانا) چاہے گا۔ بے شک تمہارا پروردگار حکیم و علیم ہے (بڑی حکمت اور بڑے علم والا ہے)۔

Thus We let some of the wrong-doers have power over others because of what they are wont to earn.

يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌۭ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا ۚ قَالُوا۟ شَهِدْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَا ۖ وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰفِرِينَ

⦿

O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

[O company of jinn and humans! Did there not come to you apostles from yourselves, recounting to you My signs and warning you of the encounter of this Day?] They will say, [We testify against ourselves.] The life of this world had deceived them, and they will testify against themselves that they had been faithless.

When people and jinn are asked, [Did not Messengers from your own people come to you to convey Our revelations and to warn you of the Day of Resurrection?] They will reply, [(Yes indeed).] The worldly life deceived them. They will testify that they were unbelievers.

O assembly of jinn and men! did there not come to you apostles from among you, relating to you My communications and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They shall say: We bear witness against ourselves; and this world's life deceived them, and they shall bear witness against their own souls that they were unbelievers.

Company of jinn and mankind! Did messengers not come from among you to recite My revelations to you, and warn you of the meeting of this Day?] They will say, [We bear witness against ourselves.] It was the life of this world that deceived them and so they will bear witness against themselves, that they rejected the truth.

اے گروہ جن و انس کیا تمہارے پاس تم میں سے رسول نہیں آئے جو ہماری آیتوں کو بیان کرتے اور تمہیں آج کے دن کی ملاقات سے ڈراتے -وہ کہیں گے کہ ہم خود اپنے خلاف گواہ ہیں اور ان کو زندگانی دنیا نے دھوکہ میں ڈال رکھا تھا انہوں نے خود اپنے خلاف گواہی دی کہ وہ کافر تھے

(اس موقع پر اللہ ان سے پوچھے گا کہ) ——اے گروہ جن وانس، کیا تمہارے پاس خود تم ہی میں سے وہ پیغمبر نہیں آئے تھے جو تم کو میری آیات سناتے اور اِس دن کے انجام سے ڈراتے تھے؟—— وہ کہیں گے ——ہاں، ہم اپنے خلاف خود گواہی دیتے ہیں—— آج دنیا کی زندگی نے اِن لوگوں کو دھوکے میں ڈال رکھا ہے، مگر اُس وقت وہ خود اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ کافر تھے

اے جنوں اور آدمیوں کے گروہ! کیا تمہارے پاس تم میں کے رسول نہ آئے تھے تم پر میری آیتیں پڑھتے اور تمہیں یہ دن دیکھنے سے ڈراتے کہیں گے ہم نے اپنی جانوں پر گواہی دی اور انہیں دنیا کی زندگی نے فریب دیا اور خود اپنی جانوں پر گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ کافر تھے

اے گروہِ جن و انس! کیا تمہارے پاس تم ہی میں سے (میرے) کچھ رسول نہیں آئے تھے جو تمہیں میری آیتیں سناتے تھے۔ اور تمہیں اس دن کی پیشی سے ڈراتے تھے؟ وہ جواب میں کہیں گے کہ ہم اپنے خلاف گواہی دیتے ہیں ان کو دنیوی زندگی نے دھوکہ میں مبتلا کر دیا تھا اور اب وہ اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ بے شک کافر تھے۔

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.

Due Credits:

This website was possible by help of many people and forums who helped me to learn Arabic, Philosophy, Law, Psychology, and PHP and other Web scripts. To be honest, I do not even know the names of many but I did learn from them. Some of these people were already dead by the time I read their input.

The Arabic text of the Quran was obtained from Tanzil. The additional translations were also obtained from Tanzil from this link.
