يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌۭ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَآءٌۭ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُنَّ ۖ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا۟ بِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِ ۖ بِئْسَ ٱلِٱسْمُ ٱلْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Let not any people ridicule another people: it may be that they are better than they are; nor let women [ridicule] women: it may be that they are better than they are. And do not defame one another, nor insult one another by [calling] nicknames. How evil are profane names subsequent to faith! Believers, let not a group of you mock another. Perhaps they are better than you. Let not women mock each other; perhaps one is better than the other. Let not one of you find faults in another nor let anyone of you defame another. How terrible is the defamation after having true faith. Those who do not repent are certainly unjust. - Sarwar, Muhammad

O you who believe! let not (one) people laugh at (another) people perchance they may be better than they, nor let women (laugh) at (other) women, perchance they may be better than they; and do not find fault with your own people nor call one another by nicknames; evil is a bad name after faith, and whoever does not turn, these it is that are the unjust. - Shakir, Habib

ایمان والو خبردار کوئی قوم دوسری قوم کا مذاق نہ اڑائے کہ شاید وہ اس سے بہتر ہو اور عورتوں کی بھی کوئی جماعت دوسری جماعت کا مسخرہ نہ کرے کہ شاید وہی عورتیں ان سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو طعنے بھی نہ دینا اور اِرے اِرے القاب سے یاد بھی نہ کرنا کہ ایمان کے بعد بدکاریً کا نام ہی بہت اِرا ہے اور جو شخص بھی توبہ نہ کرے تو سمجھو کہ یہی لوگ درحقیقت ظالمین ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، نہ مرد دوسرے مردوں کا مذاق اڑائیں، ہو سکتا ہے کہ وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں، اور نہ عورتیں دوسری عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں، ہو سکتا ہے کہ وہ ان سے بہتر ہوں آپس میں ایک دوسرے پر طعن نہ کرو اور نہ ایک دوسرے کو برے القاب سے یاد کرو ایمان لانے کے بعد فسق میں نام پیدا کرنا بہت بری بات ہے جو لوگ اس روش سے باز نہ آئیں وہی ظالم ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے ایمان والو نہ مَرد مَردوں سے ہنسیں عجب نہیں کہ وہ ان ہنسنے والوں سے بہتر ہوں اور نہ عورتیں عورتوں سے، دور نہیں کہ وہ ان ہنسے والیوں سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں طعنہ نہ کرو اور ایک دوسرے کے برے نام نہ رکھو کیا ہی برا نام ہے مسلمان ہوکر فاسق کہلانا اور جو توبہ نہ کریں تو وہی ظالم ہیں، - Ahmed Raza
