وَهُوَ

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُم بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا

And He it is Who hath withheld men's hands from you, and hath withheld your hands from them, in the valley of Mecca, after He had made you victors over them. Allah is Seer of what ye do.

It is He who withheld their hands from you, and your hands from them, in the valley of Makkah, after He had given you victory over them, and Allah sees best what you do.

اور وہی ہے جس نے ان کے ہاتھ تم سے روک دیے اور تمہارے ہاتھ ان سے روک دیے وادی مکہ میں بعد اس کے کہ تمہیں ان پر قابو دے دیا تھا، اور اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھتا ہے،

هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱلْهَدْىَ مَعْكُوفًا أَن يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُۥ ۚ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌۭ مُّؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَآءٌۭ مُّؤْمِنَٰتٌۭ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَن تَطَـُٔوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُم مِّنْهُم مَّعَرَّةٌۢ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۖ لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا۟ لَعَذَّبْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

⦿

These it was who disbelieved and debarred you from the Inviolable Place of Worship, and debarred the offering from reaching its goal. And if it had not been for believing men and believing women, whom ye know not - lest ye should tread them under foot and thus incur guilt for them unknowingly; that Allah might bring into His mercy whom He will - If (the believers and the disbelievers) had been clearly separated We verily had punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment.

They are the ones who disbelieved and barred you from the Sacred Mosque, and kept the offering from reaching its destination. And were it not for [certain] faithful men and faithful women, whom you did not know—lest you should trample them, and thus the blame for [killing] them should fall on you unawares; [He held you back] so that Allah may admit into His mercy whomever He wishes. Had they been separate, We would have surely punished the faithless among them with a painful punishment.

It was the disbelievers who kept you from the Sacred Mosque and prevented your sacrificial offering from reaching its proper place. God would not have kept you from fighting the disbelievers, had there not been believing men and women (among them) whom you did not know and whom you might have unknowingly harmed. God did this because He grants mercy to whomever He wants. Had they been distinguishable from the believers, We would certainly have punished them with a painful torment.

It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and (turned off) the offering withheld from arriving at its destined place; and were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge-- so that Allah may cause to enter into His mercy whomsoever He pleases; had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from among them with a painful punishment.

It was they who were bent on denying the truth, and who debarred you from the Sacred Mosque and who prevented your offering from reaching its place of sacrifice. And had it not been for the believing men and believing women [in Makkah] whom you might unwittingly have trampled underfoot, and on whose account you might have, unknowingly, become guilty, [God would have commanded you to fight it out with them; but He ordained it thus] so that He may bring whoever He will into His mercy. If they [the believers] had been clearly separated, We would have punished those who were bent on denying the truth with a painful punishment.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور تم کو مسجد الحرام میں داخل ہونے سے روک دیا اور قربانی کے جانوروں کو روک دیا کہ وہ اپنی منزل پر پہنچنے سے رکے رہے اور اگر صاحبِ ایمان مرد اور باایمان عورتیں نہ ہوتیں جن کو تم نہیں جانتے تھے اور نادانستگی میں انہیں بھی پامال کر ڈالنے کا خطرہ تھا اور اس طرح تمہیں لاعلمی کی وجہ سے نقصان پہنچ جاتا تو تمہیں روکا بھی نہ جاتا - روکا اس لئے تاکہ خدا جسے چاہے اسے اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرلے کہ یہ لوگ الگ ہوجاتے تو ہم کفّار کو دردناک عذاب میں مبتلا کردیتے

وہی لوگ تو ہیں جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور تم کو مسجد حرام سے روکا اور ہدی کے اونٹوں کو اُن کی قربانی کی جگہ نہ پہنچنے دیا اگر (مکہ میں) ایسے مومن مرد و عورت موجود نہ ہوتے جنہیں تم نہیں جانتے، اور یہ خطرہ نہ ہوتا کہ نادانستگی میں تم انہیں پامال کر دو گے اور اس سے تم پر حرف آئے گا (تو جنگ نہ روکی جاتی روکی وہ اس لیے گئی) تاکہ اللہ اپنی رحمت میں جس کو چاہے داخل کر لے وہ مومن الگ ہو گئے ہوتے تو (اہل مکہ میں سے) جو کافر تھے ان کو ہم ضرور سخت سزا دیتے

وہ وہ ہیں جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور تمہیں مسجدِ حرام سے روکا اور قربانی کے جانور رُکے پڑے اپنی جگہ پہنچنے سے اور اگر یہ نہ ہوتا کچھ مسلمان مرد اور کچھ مسلمان عورتیں جن کی تمہیں خبر نہیں کہیں تم انہیں روند ڈالو تو تمہیں ان کی طرف سے انجانی میں کوئی مکروہ پہنچے تو ہم تمہیں ان کی قتال کی اجازت دیتے ان کا یہ بچاؤ اس لیے ہے کہ اللہ اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرے جسے چاہے، اگر وہ جدا ہوجاتے تو ہم ضرور ان میں کے کافروں کو دردناک عذاب دیتے

یہ وہی لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور تمہیں مسجد الحرام سے روکا اور قربانی کے جانوروں کو بھی روکے رکھا کہ وہ اپنی قربانی کی جگہ نہ پہنچ سکے اور اگر (مکہ میں) ایسے مؤمن مرد اور مؤمن عورتیں نہ ہوتیں جن کو تم نہیں جانتے (اور یہ خوف نہ ہوتا کہ) تم انہیں لاعلمی میں روند ڈالوگے اور پھر ان کی وجہ سے تم پر الزام آتا (تو جنگ نہ روکی جاتی) مگر روکی اس لئے گئی تاکہ اللہ جسے چاہے اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرے اگر وہ (اہلِ ایمان) الگ ہو جاتے تو ہم ان (اہلِ مکہ) میں سے کافروں کو دردناک سزا دیتے۔

إِذْ جَعَلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَكَانُوٓا۟ أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًۭا

⦿

When those who disbelieve had set up in their hearts zealotry, the zealotry of the Age of Ignorance, then Allah sent down His peace of reassurance upon His messenger and upon the believers and imposed on them the word of self-restraint, for they were worthy of it and meet for it. And Allah is Aware of all things.

When the faithless nourished bigotry in their hearts, the bigotry of pagan ignorance, Allah sent down His composure upon His Apostle and the faithful, and made them abide by the word of Godwariness, for they were the worthiest of it and deserved it, and Allah has knowledge of all things.

Since the disbelievers held zealous ignorance in their hearts, like that of the pre-Islamic age of darkness, God gave confidence to His Messenger and to the believers, binding them to the principle of piety which they deserve. God has the knowledge of all things.

When those who disbelieved harbored in their hearts (feelings of) disdain, the disdain of (the days of) ignorance, but Allah sent down His tranquillity on His Apostle and on the believers, and made them keep the word of guarding (against evil), and they were entitled to it and worthy of it; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

While those who deny the truth made it a prestige issue [in their hearts], the bigotry of the days of ignorance, God sent His tranquillity down on to His Messenger and believers and firmly established in them the principle of righteousness, for they were indeed better entitled to it and more worthy of it. God has full knowledge of all things.

یہ اس وقت کی بات ہے جب کفار نے اپنے دلوں میں زمانہ جاہلیت جیسی ضد قرار دے لی تھی کہ تم کو مکہ میں داخل نہ ہونے دیں گے تو اللہ نے اپنے رسول اور صاحبانِ ایمان پر سکون نازل کردیا اور انہیں کلمہ تقویٰ پر قائم رکھا اور وہ اسی کے حقدار اور اہل بھی تھے اور اللہ تو ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے

(یہی وجہ ہے کہ) جب ان کافروں نے اپنے دلوں میں جاہلانہ حمیت بٹھا لی تو اللہ نے اپنے رسول اور مومنوں پر سکینت نازل فرمائی اور مومنوں کو تقویٰ کی بات کا پابند رکھا کہ وہی اُس کے زیادہ حق دار اور اُس کے اہل تھے اللہ ہر چیز کا علم رکھتا ہے

جبکہ کافروں نے اپنے دلوں میں اَڑ رکھی وہی زمانہٴ جاہلیت کی اَڑ (ضد) تو اللہ نے اپنا اطمینان اپنے رسول اور ایمان والوں پر اتارا اور پرہیزگاری کا کلمہ ان پر لازم فرمایا اور وہ اس کے زیادہ سزاوار اور اس کے اہل تھے اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے

(وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب کافروں نے اپنے دلوں میں عصبیت پیدا کی اور عصبیت بھی جاہلیت والی اللہ نے اپنا سکون و اطمینان اپنے رسول(ص) اور اہلِ ایمان پر نازل فرمایا اور انہیں پرہیزگاری کی بات کا پابند رکھا کہ وہی اس کے زیادہ حقدار تھے اور اس کے اہل بھی اور اللہ ہر چیز کا بڑا جاننے والا ہے۔

لَّقَدْ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ ٱلرُّءْيَا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ءَامِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ ۖ فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا۟ فَجَعَلَ مِن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ فَتْحًۭا قَرِيبًا

Allah hath fulfilled the vision for His messenger in very truth. Ye shall indeed enter the Inviolable Place of Worship, if Allah will, secure, (having your hair) shaven and cut, not fearing. But He knoweth that which ye know not, and hath given you a near victory beforehand.

Certainly Allah has fulfilled His Apostle]s vision in all truth: You will surely enter the Sacred Mosque, God willing, in safety and without any fear, with your heads shaven or hair cropped. So He knew what you did not know, and He assigned [you] besides that a victory near at hand.

⦿

God made the dream of His Messenger come true for a genuine purpose. (In this he was told), [If God wills You (believers) will enter the Sacred Mosque, in security, with your heads shaved, nails cut, and without any fear in your hearts.] He knew what you did not know. Besides this victory, He will give you another immediate victory.

Certainly Allah had shown to His Apostle the vision with truth: you shall most certainly enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah pleases, in security, (some) having their heads shaved and (others) having their hair cut, you shall not fear, but He knows what you do not know, so He brought about a near victory before that.

God has in all truth shown His Messenger a true vision in which He said, [God willing, you will most certainly enter the Sacred Mosque in safety and without fear, shaven-headed or with hair cut short] -- God knew what you did not; and has given you a victory beforehand.

بیشک خدا نے اپنے رسول کو بالکل سچا خوب دکھلایا تھا کہ خدا نے چاہا تو تم لوگ مسجد الحرام میں امن و سکون کے ساتھ سر کے بال منڈا کر اور تھوڑے سے بال کاٹ کر داخل ہوگے اور تمہیں کسی طرح کا خوف نہ ہوگا تو اسے وہ بھی معلوم تھا جو تمہیں نہیں معلوم تھا تو اس نے فتح مکہّ سے پہلے ایک قریبی فتح قرار دے دی

فی الواقع اللہ نے اپنے رسول کو سچا خواب دکھا یا تھا جو ٹھیک ٹھیک حق کے مطابق تھا انشاءاللہ تم ضرور مسجد حرام میں پورے امن کے ساتھ داخل ہو گے، اپنے سر منڈواؤ گے اور بال ترشواؤ گے، اور تمہیں کوئی خوف نہ ہو گا وہ اُس بات کو جانتا تھا جسے تم نہ جانتے تھے اس لیے وہ خواب پورا ہونے سے پہلے اُس نے یہ قریبی فتح تم کو عطا فرما دی

بیشک اللہ نے سچ کردیا اپنے رسول کا سچا خواب بیشک تم ضرور مسجد حرام میں داخل ہوگے اگر اللہ چاہے امن و امان سے اپنے سروں کے بال منڈاتے یا ترشواتے بے خوف، تو اس نے جانا جو تمہیں معلوم نیں تو اس سے پہلے ایک نزدیک آنے والی فتح رکھی

Victory [ 48:28 ] الفتح

هُوَ

ٱلَّذِىٓ

هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۭا

He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion. And Allah sufficeth as a Witness.

مُّحَمَّدٌۭ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًۭا سُجَّدًۭا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۖ سِيمَاهُمْ فِى وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْـَٔهُۥ فَـَٔازَرَهُۥ فَٱسْتَغْلَظَ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ يُعْجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ ٱلْكُفَّارَ ۗ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةًۭ وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًۢا

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. Thou (O Muhammad) seest them bowing and falling prostrate (in worship), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) acceptance. The mark of them is on their foreheads from the traces of prostration. Such is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Gospel - like as sown corn that sendeth forth its shoot and strengtheneth it and riseth firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers - that He may enrage the disbelievers with (the sight of) them. Allah hath promised, unto such of them as believe and do good works, forgiveness and immense reward.

Muhammad is the Messenger of God and those with him are stern to the disbelievers yet kind among themselves. You can see them bowing and prostrating before God, seeking His favors and pleasure. Their faces (foreheads) are marked due to the effect of their frequent prostrations. That is their description in the Torah and in the Gospel they are mentioned as the seed which shoots out its stalk then becomes stronger, harder and stands firm on its stumps, attracting the farmers. Thus, God has described the believers to enrage the disbelievers. God has promised forgiveness and a great reward to the righteously striving believers.

محمد(ص) اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور جو لوگ ان کے ساتھ ہیں وہ کفار کے لئے سخت ترین اور آپس میںانتہائی رحمدل ہیں تم انہیں دیکھوگے کہ بارگاہ ِاحدیّت میںسر خم کئے ہوئے سجدہ ریز ہیںاور اپنے پروردگارسے فضل وکرم اور اس کی خوشنودی کے طلب گار ہیں ،کثرتِ سجود کی بنا پر ان کے چہروں پر سجدہ کے نشانات پائے جاتے ہیںیہی ان کی مثال تورےت میں ہے اور یہی ان کی صفت انجیل میں ہے جیسے کوئی کھیتی ہو جو پہلے سوئی نکالے پھر اسے مضبوط بنائے پھر وہ موٹی ہو جائے اور پھر اپنے پیروں پر کھڑی ہو جائے کہ کاشتکاروں کو خوش کرنے لگے تاکہ ان کے ذریعہ کفار کو جلایا جائے اور اللہ نے صاحبانِ ایمان وعمل صالح سے مغفرت اور عظیم اجر کا وعدہ کیا ہے

محمدؐ اللہ کے رسول ہیں، اور جو لوگ ان کے ساتھ ہیں وہ کفار پر سخت اور آپس میں رحیم ہیں تم جب دیکھو گے اُنہیں رکوع و سجود، اور اللہ کے فضل اور اس کی خوشنودی کی طلب میں مشغول پاؤ گے سجود کے اثرات ان کے چہروں پر موجود ہیں جن سے وہ الگ پہچانے جاتے ہیں یہ ہے ان کی صفت توراۃ میں اور انجیل میں اُن کی مثال یوں دی گئی ہے کہ گویا ایک کھیتی ہے جس نے پہلے کونپل نکالی، پھر اس کو تقویت دی، پھر وہ گدرائی، پھر اپنے تنے پر کھڑی ہو گئی کاشت کرنے والوں کو وہ خوش کرتی ہے تاکہ کفار ان کے پھلنے پھولنے پر جلیں اِس گروہ کے لوگ جو ایمان لائے ہیں اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کیے ہیں اللہ نے ان سے مغفرت اور بڑے اجر کا وعدہ فرمایا ہے

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.
