أَفَنَضْرِبُ
Shall We strike out
عَنكُمُ
over you
ٱلذِّكْرَ
the reminder
صَفْحًا
wiped clean,
أَن
that
كُنتُمْ
you happen to be
قَوْمًۭا
a nation
مُّسْرِفِينَ
that is abusive?
Shall We strike out over you the reminder wiped clean, that you happen to be a nation that is abusive?
⦿
Shall We utterly ignore you because ye are a wanton folk? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Shall We keep back the Reminder from you and disregard you because you are an unrestrained lot? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? - Sarwar, Muhammad

What! shall We then turn away the reminder from you altogether because you are an extravagant people? - Shakir, Habib

Should We withdraw the admonition from you because you are a people far gone in transgression? - Wahiduddin Khan

اورکیا ہم تم لوگوں کو نصیحت کرنے سے صرف اس لئے کنارہ کشی اختیار کرلیں کہ تم زیادتی کرنے والے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And how a many
أَرْسَلْنَا
We have sent
مِن
from
نَّبِىٍّۢ
leaders
فِى
within
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
the previous people.
And how a many We have sent from leaders within the previous people.

How many a prophet did We send among the men of old! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اورہم نے تم سے پہلے والی قوموں میں بھی کتنے ہی پیغمبر بھیج دیئے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And not
يَأْتِيهِم

about him
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
insulting.
And not came to them of leaders, except they were about him insulting.

And never came there unto them a prophet but they used to mock him. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thus We destroyed
أَشَدَّ
who were powerful
مِنْهُم
from them
بَطْشًۭا
forcefully,
وَمَضَىٰ
and left
مَثَلُ
an example of
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
the former people.
Thus We destroyed who were powerful from them forcefully, and left an example of the former people.

Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So We destroyed those who were stronger than these, and the example of the former peoples has already come to pass. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We destroyed the strongest among them in power. The stories of the ancient people have already been mentioned. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, - Shakir, Habib

تو ہم نے ان سے زیادہ زبردست لوگوں کو تباہ و برباد کردیا اور یہ مثال جاری ہوگئی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جو لوگ اِن سے بدرجہا زیادہ طاقتور تھے اُنہیں ہم نے ہلاک کر دیا، پچھلی قوموں کی مثالیں گزر چکی ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو ہم نے وہ ہلاک کردیے جو ان سے بھی پکڑ میں سخت تھے اور اگلوں کا حال گزر چکا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

پھر ہم نے ان لوگوں کو ہلاک کر دیا جو ان (موجودہ منکرین) سے زیادہ طاقتور تھے اور پہلے لوگوں کی مثال (حالت) گزر چکی ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And if
سَأَلْتَهُم
you shall ask them,
مَّنْ
[Who
خَلَقَ
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres,
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the land?],
لَيَقُولُنَّ
they would reply,
خَلَقَهُنَّ
[Made them both
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Most Fortified,
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
the Most Knowledged.]
٤٣
٩
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ And if you shall ask them, [Who created the atmospheres, and the land?], they would reply, [Made them both the Most Fortified, the Most Knowledged.]

And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If you ask them, [Who created the heavens and the earth?] they will surely say, [The All-mighty, the All-knowing created them.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Muhammad), if you ask them, [Who has created the heavens and the earth?] They will certainly say, [The Majestic and All-knowing God has created them]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if you should ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? they would most certainly say: The Mighty, the Knowing One, has created them; - Shakir, Habib

If you ask them, [Who has created the heavens and the earth?], they will surely answer, [The Almighty, the All Knowing One has created them.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور آپ ان سے سوال کریں گے کہ زمین و آسمان کوکس نے پیدا کیا ہے تویقینا یہی کہیں گے کہ ایک زبردست طاقت والی اور ذی علم ہستی نے خلق کیاہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اگر تم اِن لوگوں سے پوچھو کہ زمین اور آسمانوں کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے تو یہ خود کہیں گے کہ انہیں اُسی زبردست علیم ہستی نے پیدا کیا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ آسمان اور زمین کس نے بنائے تو ضرور کہیں گے انہیں بنایا اس عزت والے علم والے نے - Ahmed Raza

اور اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے؟ تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے کہ انہیں اس ہستی نے پیدا کیا ہے جو غالب ہے اور ہمہ دان۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

The Entity
جَعَلَ
who placed
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the Land
مَهْدًۭا
as spread even,
وَجَعَلَ
and made
لَكُمْ
for you
فِيهَا
in it
سُبُلًۭا
tracts,
لَّعَلَّكُمْ
that perhaps you
تَهْتَدُونَ
may be guided.
٤٣
١٠
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ The Entity who placed for you the Land as spread even, and made for you in it tracts, that perhaps you may be guided.
⦿
Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and placed roads for you therein, that haply ye may find your way; - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
He, who made the earth a cradle for you, and made for you in it ways so that you may be guided [to your destinations], - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
It is He who has made the earth for you as a cradle and has made roads therein so that you will perhaps seek guidance. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and made in it ways for you that you may go aright; - Shakir, Habib

Who has made the earth a cradle for you and made thereon paths for you so that, hopefully, you may find your way - Wahiduddin Khan

وہ ہی جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو گہوارہ بنایا ہے اور اس میں راستے قرار دیئے ہیں تاکہ تم راہ معلوم کرسکو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہی نا جس نے تمہارے لیے اس زمین کو گہوارہ بنایا اور اس میں تمہاری خاطر راستے بنا دیے تاکہ تم اپنی منزل مقصود کی راہ پاسکو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کو بچھونا کیا اورتمہارے لیے اس میں راستے کیے کہ تم راہ پاؤ - Ahmed Raza

وہی جس نے زمین کو تمہارے لئے گہوارہ بنایا اور اس میں تمہارے لئے راستے بنا دئیے تاکہ تم (منزل تک) راہ پاؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And the Entity who
نَزَّلَ
alighted
مِنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
مَآءًۢ
basic essence
بِقَدَرٍۢ
with an assigned value,
فَأَنشَرْنَا
thus We sowed
بِهِۦ
through it
بَلْدَةًۭ
habitation
مَّيْتًۭا
that was already dead;
ۚ
كَذَٰلِكَ
that is how
تُخْرَجُونَ
you come out (as well).
٤٣
١١
وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۢ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ And the Entity who alighted from the sky basic essence with an assigned value, thus We sowed through it habitation that was already dead; that is how you come out (as well).

And Who sendeth down water from the sky in (due) measure, and We revive a dead land therewith. Even so will ye be brought forth; - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
and who sent down water from the sky in a measured manner, and We revived with it a dead country. Likewise, you shall be raised [from the dead]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
It is He who has sent down water from the sky in a known measure by which He has given life to the dead earth. In the same way will you also be resurrected. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And He Who sends down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We raise to life thereby a dead country, even thus shall you be brought forth; - Shakir, Habib

It is He who sends water down from the sky in due measure, We revive dead land with it and likewise you will be resurrected from the grave, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جس نے آسمان سے ایک معین مقدار میں پانی نازل کیا اورپھر ہم نے اس کے ذریعہ اَمردہ زمینوں کو زندہ بنادیا اسی طرح تم بھی زمین سے نکالے جاؤ گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس نے ایک خاص مقدار میں آسمان سے پانی اتارا اور اس کے ذریعہ سے مردہ زمین کو جلا اٹھایا، اِسی طرح ایک روز تم زمین سے برآمد کیے جاؤ گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ جس نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا ایک اندازے سے تو ہم نے اس سے ایک مردہ شہر زندہ فرمادیا، یونہی تم نکالے جاؤ گے - Ahmed Raza

اور جس نے ایک خاص مقدارمیں آسمان سے پا نی اتارا پھر ہم نے اس سے مردہ (خشک) زمین کو زندہ کر دیا اسی طرح تم (قبروں سے) نکالے جاؤ گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And the Entity who
خَلَقَ

ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ
the companions of

all of them,
وَجَعَلَ
and made
لَكُم
for you
مِّنَ

ٱلْفُلْكِ
the things that float,
وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
and the grazing cattle
مَا
that which
تَرْكَبُونَ
you ride upon.
٤٣
١٢
وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ And the Entity who created the companions of all of them, and made for you of the things that float, and the grazing cattle that which you ride upon.
⦿
He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He created all the kinds and made for you the ships and the cattle such which you ride, - Qarai, Ali Quli

It is He who has created everything in pairs and the ships and cattle for you to ride, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, - Shakir, Habib

it is He who created all living things in pairs and gave you ships to sail in and beasts to ride upon - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جسں نے تمام جوڑوں کو خلق کیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے کشتیوں اور جانوروں میں سواری کا سامان فراہم کیا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہی جس نے یہ تمام جوڑے پیدا کیے، اور جس نے تمہارے لیے کشتیوں اور جانوروں کو سواری بنایا تاکہ تم اُن کی پشت پر چڑھو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟
For you to become balanced
عَلَىٰ
on
ظُهُورِهِۦ
its back,
ثُمَّ
then
تَذْكُرُوا۟
be in remembrance of
نِعْمَةَ
gift of
رَبِّكُمْ
your Nourisher
إِذَا
when
ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ
you ride
عَلَيْهِ
upon it,
وَتَقُولُوا۟
and say,
سُبْحَٰنَ
[Glory is of
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who
سَخَّرَ
subjugated
لَنَا
for us
هَٰذَا
this,
وَمَا
and not
كُنَّا
we were
لَهُۥ
over it
مُقْرِنِينَ
of having a connection.]
٤٣
١٣
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ For you to become balanced on its back, then be in remembrance of gift of your Nourisher when you ride upon it, and say, [Glory is of the Entity who subjugated for us this, and not we were over it of having a connection.]
⦿
That ye may mount upon their backs, and may remember your Lord's favour when ye mount thereon, and may say: Glorified be He Who hath subdued these unto us, and we were not capable (of subduing them); - Pickthall, Marmaduke

that you may sit on their backs, then remember the blessing of your Lord when you are settled on them, and say, [Immaculate is He who has disposed this for us, and we [by ourselves] were no match for it. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
so that perhaps when you ride them, you will recall the bounties of your Lord and when you establish your control over it you would say, [Glory belongs to Him who has made it subservient to us when we would not have been able to do so ourselves. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
That you may firmly sit on their backs, then remember the favor of your Lord when you are firmly seated thereon, and say: Glory be to Him Who made this subservient to us and we were not able to do it - Shakir, Habib
