وَٱللَّهُ

ٱلرِّيَٰحَ

فَتُثِيرُ

سَحَابًۭا

فَسُقْنَٰهُ

إِلَىٰ

بَلَدٍۢ

مَّيِّتٍۢ

فَأَحْيَيْنَا

بِهِ

ٱلْأَرْضَ

بَعْدَ

مَوْتِهَا

كَذَٰلِكَ

ٱلنُّشُورُ

٣٥

وَٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًۭا فَسُقْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍۢ مَّيِّتٍۢ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ

And Allah it is Who sendeth the winds and they raise a cloud; then We lead it unto a dead land and revive therewith the earth after its death. Such is the Resurrection.

It is Allah who sends the winds and they raise a cloud; then We drive it toward a dead land and with it revive the earth after its death. Likewise will be the resurrection [of the dead].

وہ اللہ ہی تو ہے جو ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے، پھر وہ بادل اٹھاتی ہیں، پھر ہم اسے ایک اُجاڑ علاقے کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں اور اسی زمین کو جِلا اٹھاتے ہیں جو مری پڑی تھی مرے ہوئے انسانوں کا جی اٹھنا بھی اسی طرح ہوگا

اور اللہ ہے جس نے بھیجیں ہوائیں کہ بادل ابھارتی ہیں، پھر ہم اسے کسی مردہ شہر کی طرف رواں کرتے ہیں تو اس کے سبب ہم زمین کو زندہ فرماتے ہیں اس کے مرے پیچھے یونہی حشر میں اٹھنا ہے

اور اللہ ہی وہ (قادر) ہے جو ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے تو وہ بادل کو حرکت میں لاتی (اٹھاتی) ہیں پھر ہم اسے ایک مردہ (اجاڑ) شہر کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں پھر ہم اس کے ذریعہ سے زمین کو اس کے مردہ (اجاڑ) ہونے کے بعد زندہ (سرسبز) کر دیتے ہیں اسی طرح (قیامت کے دن لوگوں کا) جی اٹھنا ہوگا۔

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ٱلْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ ٱلْكَلِمُ ٱلطَّيِّبُ وَٱلْعَمَلُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُ يَرْفَعُهُۥ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ وَمَكْرُ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ

⦿

Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught.

Whoever seeks honour [should know that] honour entirely belongs to Allah. To Him ascends the good word, and He elevates righteous conduct; as for those who devise evil schemes, there is a severe punishment for them, and their plotting shall come to naught.

Whoever seeks honor should know that all honor belongs to God. Good words (worship) will be presented before Him and He will accept good deeds. Those who make evil plans will suffer intense torment. Their evil plans are doomed to destruction.

Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly. To Him do ascend the good words; and the good deeds, lift them up, and (as for) those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and (as for) their plan, it shall perish.

If anyone seeks glory, let him know that glory belongs to God alone. Good words ascend to Him and righteous deeds are exalted by Him. Those who plot evil deeds shall be sternly punished and their plotting will come to nothing.

جو شخص بھی عزّت کا طلبگار ہے وہ سمجھ لے کہ عزّت سب پروردگار کے لئے ہے - پاکیزہ کلمات اسی کی طرف بلند ہوتے ہیں اور عمل صالح انہیں بلند کرتا ہے اور جو لوگ برائیوں کی تدبیریں کرتے ہیں ان کے لئے شدید عذاب ہے اور ان کا مکر بہرحال ہلاک اور تباہ ہونے والا ہے

جو کوئی عزت چاہتا ہو اُسے معلوم ہونا چاہیے کہ عزت ساری کی ساری اللہ کی ہے اُس کے ہاں جو چیز اوپر چڑھتی ہے وہ صرف پاکیزہ قول ہے، اور عمل صالح اس کو اوپر چڑھاتا ہے رہے وہ لوگ جو بیہودہ چال بازیاں کرتے ہیں، اُن کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اور اُن کا مکر خود ہی غارت ہونے والا ہے

جسے عزت کی چاہ ہو تو عزت تو سب اللہ کے ہاتھ ہے اسی کی طرف چڑھتا ہے پاکیزہ کلام اور جو نیک کام سے وہ اسے بلند کرتا ہے اور وہ جو برے داؤں (فریب) کرتے ہیں ان کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اور انہیں کا مکر برباد ہوگا (ف

جو کوئی عزت کا طلبگار ہے (تو وہ سمجھ لے) کہ ساری عزت اللہ ہی کیلئے ہے (لہٰذا وہ خدا سے طلب کرے) اچھے اور پاکیزہ کلام اس کی طرف بلند ہوتے ہیں اور نیک عمل انہیں بلند کرتا ہے (یا اللہ نیک عمل کو بلند کرتا ہے) اور جو لوگ (آپ کے خلاف) برائیوں کے منصوبے بناتے ہیں (بری تدبیریں کرتے ہیں) ان کیلئے سخت عذاب ہے (اور ان کا مکر و فریب آخرکار) نیست و نابود ہو جائے گا۔

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ۚ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُّعَمَّرٍۢ وَلَا يُنقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِۦٓ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ

⦿

Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that is easy for Allah.

Allah created you from dust, then from a drop of [seminal] fluid, then He made you mates. No female conceives or delivers except with His knowledge, and no elderly person advances in years, nor is anything diminished of his life, but it is [recorded] in a Book. That is indeed easy for Allah.

God created you from clay which He then turned into a living germ and made you into pairs. No female conceives or delivers without His knowledge. No one grows older nor can anything be reduced from one's life without having its record in the Book. This is not at all difficult for God.

اللہ نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا، پھر نطفہ سے، پھر تمہارے جوڑے بنا دیے (یعنی مرد اور عورت) کوئی عورت حاملہ نہیں ہوتی اور نہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ اللہ کے علم میں ہوتا ہے کوئی عمر پانے والا عمر نہیں پاتا اور نہ کسی کی عمر میں کچھ کمی ہوتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ ایک کتاب میں لکھا ہوتا ہے اللہ کے لیے یہ بہت آسان کام ہے

اور اللہ نے تمہیں بنایا مٹی سے پھر پانی کی بوند سے پھر تمہیں کیا جوڑے جوڑے اور کسی مادہ کو پیٹ نہیں رہتا اور نہ وہ جتنی ہے مگر اس کے علم سے، اور جس بڑی عمر والے کو عمر دی جائے یا جس کسی کی عمر کم رکھی جائے یہ سب ایک کتاب میں ہے بیشک یہ اللہ کو آسان ہے

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْبَحْرَانِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌۭ فُرَاتٌۭ سَآئِغٌۭ شَرَابُهُۥ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۭ ۖ وَمِن كُلٍّۢ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْمًۭا طَرِيًّۭا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَةًۭ تَلْبَسُونَهَا ۖ وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ فِيهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

And the two seas are not alike: this, fresh, sweet, good to drink, this (other) bitter, salt. And from them both ye eat fresh meat and derive the ornament that ye wear. And thou seest the ship cleaving them with its prow that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may give thanks.

Not alike are the two seas: this one sweet and agreeable, pleasant to drink, and that one briny and bitter, and from each you eat fresh meat and obtain ornaments, which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through them, that you may seek of His bounty, and so that you may give thanks.

The two oceans, one sweet and the other salty, are not alike. From each you can eat fresh meat and obtain ornaments to use. You see ships ploughing their way through them so that you may seek His favor and give Him thanks.

And the two seas are not alike: the one sweet, that subdues thirst by its excessive sweetness, pleasant to drink; and the other salt, that burns by its saltness; yet from each of them you eat fresh flesh and bring forth ornaments which you wear; and you see the ships cleave through it that you may seek of His bounty and that you may be grateful.

The two seas are not alike. The one is sweet, thirst-quenching, and pleasant to drink from, while the other is salty and bitter. اور دو سمندر ایک جیسے نہیں ہوسکتے ایک کا پانی میٹھا اور خوشگوار ہے اور ایک کا کھارا اور کڑوا ہے اور تم دونوں سے تازہ گوشت کھاتے ہو اور ایسے زیورات برآمد کرتے ہو جو تمہارے پہننے کے کام آتے ہیں اور تم کشتیوں کو دیکھتے ہو کہ سمندر کا سینہ چیرتی چلی جاتی ہیں تاکہ تم فضل خدا تلاش کرسکو اور شاید اسی طرح شکر گزار بھی بن سکو

اور پانی کے دونوں ذخیرے یکساں نہیں ہیں ایک میٹھا اور پیاس بجھانے والا ہے، پینے میں خوشگوار، اور دوسرا سخت کھاری کہ حلق چھیل دے مگر دونوں سے تم تر و تازہ گوشت حاصل کرتے ہو، پہننے کے لیے زینت کا سامان نکالتے ہو، اور اسی پانی میں تم دیکھتے ہو کہ کشتیاں اُس کا سینہ چیرتی چلی جا رہی ہیں تاکہ تم اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرو اور اُس کے شکر گزار بنو

اور دونوں سمندر ایک سے نہیں یہ میٹھا ہے خوب میٹھا پانی خوشگوار اور یہ کھاری ہے تلخ اور ہر ایک میں سے تم کھاتے ہو تازہ گوشت اور نکالتے ہو پہننے کا ایک گہنا (زیور) اور تو کشتیوں کو اس میں دیکھے کہ پانی چیرتی ہیں تاکہ تم اس کا فضل تلاش کرو اور کسی طرح حق مانو

اور پانی کے دونوں (ذخیرے) برابر نہیں ہیں یہ ایک میٹھا پیاس بجھانے والا ہے (اور) پینے میں خوشگوار اور دوسرا سخت کھاری اور کڑوا ہے اور تم ہر ایک سے تازہ گوشت کھاتے ہو اور زیور برآمد کرکے پہنتے ہو اور تم اس کی کشتیوں کو دیکھتے ہو کہ وہ پانی کو چیرتی پھاڑتی چلی جاتی ہیں تاکہ تم اللہ کا فضل (رزق) تلاش کرو اور تاکہ شکر گزار بنو۔

يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّۭ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ

He maketh the night to pass into the day and He maketh the day to pass into the night. He hath subdued the sun and moon to service. Each runneth unto an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the Sovereignty; and those unto whom ye pray instead of Him own not so much as the white spot on a date-stone.

He makes the night pass into the day and makes the day pass into the night, and He has disposed the sun and the moon, each moving for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs all sovereignty. As for those whom you invoke besides Him, they do not control so much as the husk of a date stone.

He causes the night to enter into the day and the day to enter into the night. He has made subservient to Himself the sun and moon, each moving in an orbit for an appointed time. Such is God, your Lord, to whom belongs the kingdom. Those whom you worship besides Him do not posses even a single straw.

If ye pray unto them they hear not your prayer, and if they heard they could not grant it you. On the Day of Resurrection they will disown association with you. None can inform you like Him Who is Aware.

وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۚ وَإِن تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ إِلَىٰ حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَىْءٌۭ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰٓ ۗ إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۚ وَمَن تَزَكَّىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّىٰ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

And no burdened soul can bear another's burden, and if one heavy laden crieth for (help with) his load, naught of it will be lifted even though he (unto whom he crieth) be of kin. Thou warnest only those who fear their Lord in secret, and have established worship. He who groweth (in goodness), groweth only for himself, (he cannot by his merit redeem others). Unto Allah is the journeying.

No bearer shall bear another]s burden, and should someone heavily burdened call [another] to carry it, nothing of it will be carried [by anyone] even if he should be a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and maintain the prayer. Whoever purifies himself, purifies only for his own sake, and to Allah is the return.

No one will bear the burden of another. Even if an overburdened soul should ask another to bear a part of his burden, no one, not even a relative, will do so. (Muhammad), you can only warn those who have fear of their Lord without seeing Him and who are steadfast in prayer. Whoever purifies himself, does so for his own good. To God do all things return.

And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming.

No burden-bearer shall bear another's burden, and if some over-laden soul should call out for someone else to carry his load, not the least portion of it will be borne for him, even though he were a near relative. کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا کسی دوسرے کا بوجھ نہ اٹھائے گا اور اگر کوئی لدا ہوا نفس اپنا بوجھ اٹھانے کے لیے پکارے گا تو اس کے بار کا ایک ادنیٰ حصہ بھی بٹانے کے لیے کوئی نہ آئے گا چاہے وہ قریب ترین رشتہ دار ہی کیوں نہ ہو (اے نبیؐ) تم صرف انہی لوگوں کو متنبہ کر سکتے ہو جو بے دیکھے اپنے رب سے ڈرتے ہیں اور نماز قائم کرتے ہیں جو شخص بھی پاکیزگی اختیار کرتا ہے اپنی ہی بھلائی کے لیے کرتا ہے اور پلٹنا سب کو اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے

اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والی جان دوسرے کا بوجھ نہ اٹھائے گی اور اگر کوئی بوجھ والی اپنا بوجھ بٹانے کو کسی کو بلائے تو اس کے بوجھ میں سے کوئی کچھ نہ اٹھائے گا اگرچہ قریب رشتہ دار ہو اے محبوب! تمہارا ڈر سناتا انہیں کو کام دیتا ہے جو بے دیکھے اپنے رب! سے ڈرتے ہیں اور نماز قائم رکھتے ہیں، اور جو ستھرا ہوا تو اپنے ہی بھلے کو ستھرا ہوا اور اللہ ہی کی طرف پھرنا ہے،

اور کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا (گنہگار) کسی دوسرے کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا اور اگر کوئی بھاری بوجھ والا اس کے اٹھانے کیلئے (کسی کو) بلائے گا تو اس میں سے کچھ بھی نہ اٹھایا جائے گا اگرچہ وہ رشتہ دار ہی کیوں نہ ہو؟ (اے رسول(ص)!) آپ صرف انہی لوگوں کو ڈرا سکتے ہیں جو بے دیکھے اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرتے ہیں اور جو (باقاعدہ) نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور جو (گناہوں سے) پاکیزگی اختیار کرتا ہے تو وہ اپنے ہی فائدہ کیلئے پاکباز رہتا ہے (آخرکار) اللہ ہی کی طرف (سب کی) بازگشت ہے۔

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.

Due Credits:

This website was possible by help of many people and forums who helped me to learn Arabic, Philosophy, Law, Psychology, and PHP and other Web scripts. To be honest, I do not even know the names of many but I did learn from them. Some of these people were already dead by the time I read their input.

The Arabic text of the Quran was obtained from Tanzil. The additional translations were also obtained from Tanzil from this link.
