وَٱلْأَرْضِ

لَآ

إِلَٰهَ

إِلَّا

هُوَ

فَأَنَّىٰ

تُؤْفَكُونَ

O mankind! Remember Allah's grace toward you! Is there any creator other than Allah who provideth for you from the sky and the earth? There is no Allah save Him. Whither then are ye turned? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَإِن
And if
يُكَذِّبُوكَ
they refute you
فَقَدْ
thus surely
كُذِّبَتْ
were refuted
رُسُلٌۭ
messengers
مِّن
from
قَبْلِكَ
before you,
ۚ
وَإِلَى
and towards
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
تُرْجَعُ
chain of
ٱلْأُمُورُ
the commands.
And if they refute you thus surely were refuted messengers from before you, and towards the One is chain of the commands.
⦿
And if they deny thee, (O Muhammad), messengers (of Allah) were denied before thee. Unto Allah all things are brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If they impugn you, certainly [other] apostles were impugned before you, and all matters are returned to Allah. - Qarai, Ali Quli

If they reject you, other Messengers had certainly been rejected before you. All decisions are in the hands of God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if they call you a liar, truly apostles before you were called liars, and to Allah are all affairs returned. - Shakir, Habib

اور اگر یہ لوگ آپ کو جھٹلاتے ہیں تو آپ سے پہلے بہت سے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا جاچکا ہے اور تمام امور کی بازگشت خدا ہی کی طرف ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اب اگر (اے نبیؐ) یہ لوگ تمہیں جھٹلاتے ہیں (تو یہ کوئی نئی بات نہیں)، تم سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں، اور سارے معاملات آخرکار اللہ ہی کی طرف رجوع ہونے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اگر یہ تمہیں جھٹلائیں تو بیشک تم سے پہلے کتنے ہی رسول جھٹلائے گئے اور سب کام اللہ ہی کی طرف سے پھرتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Oh you of
ٱلنَّاسُ
the populace!
إِنَّ
Surely
وَعْدَ
pledge of
ٱللَّهِ
the One is
حَقٌّۭ
factual,
ۖ
فَلَا
so do not let
تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ
deceive you
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World,
ۖ
وَلَا
and let not
يَغُرَّنَّكُم
deceive you
بِٱللَّهِ
about the One
ٱلْغَرُورُ
the vanity.
٣٥
٥
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ ۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَا يَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ Oh you of the populace! Surely pledge of the One is factual, so do not let deceive you the life of the World, and let not deceive you about the One the vanity.

O mankind! Lo! the promise of Allah is true. So let not the life of the world beguile you, and let not the (avowed) beguiler beguile you with regard to Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا ۚ إِنَّمَا يَدْعُوا۟ حِزْبَهُۥ لِيَكُونُوا۟ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial
لَهُمْ
for them is
عَذَابٌۭ
an anguish
شَدِيدٌۭ
that is intense;
ۖ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
constructive things
لَهُم
for them is
مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ
forgiveness
وَأَجْرٌۭ
and a reward
كَبِيرٌ
that is grand.
٣٥
٧
ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌ The ones who are in denial for them is an anguish that is intense; and the ones who believe and did constructive things for them is forgiveness and a reward that is grand.

Those who disbelieve, theirs will be an awful doom; and those who believe and do good works, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

There is a severe punishment for the faithless; but for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, there will be forgiveness and a great reward. - Qarai, Ali Quli

أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ فَرَءَاهُ حَسَنًۭا ۖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Is he, the evil of whose deeds is made fairseeming unto him so that he deemeth it good, (other than Satan's dupe)? Allah verily sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will; so let not thy soul expire in sighings for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Is someone the evil of whose conduct is presented as decorous to him, so he regards it as good.... Indeed Allah leads astray whomever He wishes, and guides whomever He wishes. So do not fret yourself to death regretting for them. Indeed Allah knows best what they do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Can one whose evil deeds seem attractive and virtuous to him (be compared to a truly righteous person)? God guides or causes to go astray whomever He wants. (Muhammad), do not be grieved because of their disbelief. God knows well whatever they do. - Sarwar, Muhammad

What! is he whose evil deed is made fairseeming to him so much so that he considers it good? Now surely Allah makes err whom He pleases and guides aright whom He pleases, so let not your soul waste away in grief for them; surely Allah is Cognizant of what they do - Shakir, Habib

Is he whose evil deeds are made alluring to him so that he looks upon them as good, [equal to the man who is rightly guided]? God leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. Do not destroy yourself with grief for them. God has full knowledge of all their actions. - Wahiduddin Khan

(بھلا کچھ ٹھکانا ہے اُس شخص کی گمراہی کا) جس کے لیے اُس کا برا عمل خوشنما بنا دیا گیا ہو اور وہ اُسے اچھا سمجھ رہا ہو؟ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں ڈال دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے راہ راست دکھا دیتا ہے پس (اے نبیؐ) خواہ مخواہ تمہاری جان ان لوگوں کی خاطر غم و افسوس میں نہ گھلے جو کچھ یہ کر رہے ہیں اللہ اُس کو خوب جانتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whoever seeks honour [should know that] honour entirely belongs to Allah. To Him ascends the good word, and He elevates righteous conduct; as for those who devise evil schemes, there is a severe punishment for them, and their plotting shall come to naught. - Qarai, Ali Quli

جو کوئی عزت چاہتا ہو اُسے معلوم ہونا چاہیے کہ عزت ساری کی ساری اللہ کی ہے اُس کے ہاں جو چیز اوپر چڑھتی ہے وہ صرف پاکیزہ قول ہے، اور عمل صالح اس کو اوپر چڑھاتا ہے رہے وہ لوگ جو بیہودہ چال بازیاں کرتے ہیں، اُن کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے اور اُن کا مکر خود ہی غارت ہونے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that is easy for Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اللہ نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا، پھر نطفہ سے، پھر تمہارے جوڑے بنا دیے (یعنی مرد اور عورت) کوئی عورت حاملہ نہیں ہوتی اور نہ بچہ جنتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ اللہ کے علم میں ہوتا ہے کوئی عمر پانے والا عمر نہیں پاتا اور نہ کسی کی عمر میں کچھ کمی ہوتی ہے مگر یہ سب کچھ ایک کتاب میں لکھا ہوتا ہے اللہ کے لیے یہ بہت آسان کام ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And the two seas are not alike: this, fresh, sweet, good to drink, this (other) bitter, salt. And from them both ye eat fresh meat and derive the ornament that ye wear. اور پانی کے دونوں ذخیرے یکساں نہیں ہیں ایک میٹھا اور پیاس بجھانے والا ہے، پینے میں خوشگوار، اور دوسرا سخت کھاری کہ حلق چھیل دے مگر دونوں سے تم تر و تازہ گوشت حاصل کرتے ہو، پہننے کے لیے زینت کا سامان نکالتے ہو، اور اسی پانی میں تم دیکھتے ہو کہ کشتیاں اُس کا سینہ چیرتی چلی جا رہی ہیں تاکہ تم اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرو اور اُس کے شکر گزار بنو - Maududi, Abul A'ala
