It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them (O Muhammad), for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust (in Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is by Allah]s mercy that you are gentle to them; had you been harsh and hardhearted, they would have surely scattered from around you. So excuse them and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in Allah. Indeed Allah loves those who trust in Him. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Only through the Divine Mercy have you (Muhammad) been able to deal with your followers so gently. If you had been stern and hard-hearted, they would all have deserted you a long time ago. Forgive them and ask God to forgive (their sins) and consult with them in certain matters. But, when you reach a decision, trust God. God loves those who trust Him. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Thus it is due to mercy from Allah that you deal with them gently, and had you been rough, hard hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you; pardon them therefore and ask pardon for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; so when you have decided, then place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who trust. - Shakir, Habib

پیغمبر یہ اللہ کی مہربانی ہے کہ تم ان لوگوں کے لئے نرم ہو ورنہ اگر تم بدمزاج اور سخت دل ہوتے تو یہ تمہارے پاس سے بھاگ کھڑے ہوتے لہذا اب انہیں معاف کردو- ان کے لئے استغفار کرو اور ان سے امر جنگ میں مشورہ کرو اور جب ارادہ کرلو تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو کہ وہ بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اے پیغمبرؐ) یہ اللہ کی بڑی رحمت ہے کہ تم اِن لوگوں کے لیے بہت نرم مزاج واقع ہوئے ہو ورنہ اگر کہیں تم تند خو اور سنگ دل ہوتے تو یہ سب تمہارے گردو پیش سے چھٹ جاتے اِن کے قصور معاف کر دو، اِن کے حق میں دعا ئے مغفرت کرو، اور دین کے کام میں ان کو بھی شریک مشورہ رکھو، پھر جب تمہارا عزم کسی رائے پر مستحکم ہو جائے تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو، اللہ کو وہ لوگ پسند ہیں جو اُسی کے بھروسے پر کام کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو کیسی کچھ اللہ کی مہربانی ہے کہ اے محبوب! تم ان کے لئے نرم دل ہوئے اور اگر تند مزاج سخت دل ہوتے تو وہ ضرور تمہارے گرد سے پریشان ہوجاتے تو تم انہیں معاف فرماؤ او ر ان کی شفاعت کرو اور کاموں میں ان سے مشورہ لو اور جو کسی بات کا ارادہ پکا کرلو تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو بیشک توکل والے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول(ص)) یہ اللہ کی بہت بڑی مہربانی ہے کہ تم ان لوگوں کے لیے اتنے نرم مزاج ہو۔ ورنہ اگر تم درشت مزاج اور سنگدل ہوتے تو یہ سب آپ کے گرد و پیش سے منتشر ہو جاتے۔ انہیں معاف کر دیا کریں۔ ان کے لیے دعائے مغفرت کیا کریں اور معاملات میں ان سے مشورہ بھی لے لیا کریں۔ مگر جب کسی کام کے کرنے کا حتمی ارادہ ہو جائے تو پھر خدا پر بھروسہ کریں بے شک اللہ بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
