House of Imran [ 3:150 ] آل عمران

بَلِ

On the contrary,

ٱللَّهُ

the One is

مَوْلَىٰكُمْ

your protector;

وَهُوَ

and He is

خَيْرُ

best of

ٱلنَّٰصِرِينَ

the helpers.

١٥٠

بَلِ ٱللَّهُ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلنَّٰصِرِينَ

On the contrary, the One is your protector; and He is best of the helpers.

سَنُلْقِى فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلرُّعْبَ بِمَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَٰنًۭا ۖ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۚ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

⦿

We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers.

We shall cast terror into the hearts of the faithless because of their ascribing partners to Allah, for which He has not sent down any authority, and their refuge shall be the Fire, and evil is the [final] abode of the wrongdoers.

We shall cause terror to enter the hearts of the faithless for their considering things equal to God without authoritative evidence. Their abode will be fire, a terrible dwelling for the unjust.

عنقریب وہ وقت آنے والا ہے جب ہم منکرین حق کے دلوں میں رعب بٹھا دیں گے، اس لیے کہ اُنہوں نے اللہ کے ساتھ اُن کو خدائی میں شریک ٹھیرایا ہے جن کے شریک ہونے پر اللہ نے کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی اُن کا آخری ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور بہت ہی بری ہے وہ قیام گاہ جو اُن ظالموں کو نصیب ہوگی

کوئی دم جاتا ہے کہ ہم کافروں کے دلوں میں رعب ڈالیں گے کہ انہوں نے اللہ کا شریک ٹھہرایا جس پر اس نے کوئی سمجھ نہ اتاری اور ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے، اور کیا برا ٹھکانا ناانصافوں کا،

(تم پریشان نہ ہو) ہم عنقریب کافروں کے دلوں میں (تمہارا) رعب ڈال دیں گے اس لئے کہ انہوں نے خدائی میں ان بتوں کو شریک بنایا ہے۔ جن کے بارے میں خدا نے کوئی دلیل نازل نہیں کی ہے اور ان کا انجام جہّنم ہوگا اور وہ ظالمین کا بدترین ٹھکانہ ہے۔

وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥٓ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَرَىٰكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ ۚ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ ۖ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

⦿

Allah verily made good His promise unto you when ye routed them by His leave, until (the moment) when your courage failed you, and ye disagreed about the order and ye disobeyed, after He had shown you that for which ye long. Some of you desired the world, and some of you desired the Hereafter. Therefore He made you flee from them, that He might try you. Yet now He hath forgiven you. Allah is a Lord of Kindness to believers.

Allah certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were slaying them with His leave, until you lost courage, disputed about the matter, and disobeyed after He showed you what you loved. Some among you desire this world, and some among you desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them so that He might test you. Certainly He has excused you, for Allah is gracious to the faithful.

God certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were fighting the unbelievers, by His permission. Even after We showed you what you wanted, you began to lose courage, started quarreling with each other, and disobeyed God's orders. Some of you want worldly gains and others of you want rewards in the hereafter. Then He let you face defeat in order to test you. However, He forgave you. God is Gracious to the believers.

And certainly Allah made good to you His promise when you slew them by His permission, until when you became weak-hearted and disputed about the affair and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you loved; of you were some who desired this world and of you were some who desired the hereafter; then He turned you away from them that He might try you; and He has certainly pardoned you, and Allah is Gracious to the believers.

And God made good His promise to you when by His leave you were about to destroy your foes, but then your courage failed you and you disagreed among yourselves [concerning the Prophet's direction] and disobeyed it, after He had brought you within sight of what you wished for, some of you desired the goods of this world and some of you desired the Hereafter, then in order that He might put you to the test, He prevented you from defeating your foes. But now He has pardoned you: God is most gracious to the believers.

خدا نے اپنا وعدہ اس وقت پورا کردیا جب تم اس کے حکم سے کفاّر کو قتل کررہے تھے یہاں تک کہ تم نے کمزوری کا مظاہرہ کیا اور آپس میں جھگڑا کرنے لگے اور اس وقت خدا کی نافرمانی کی جب اس نے تمہاری محبوب شے کو دکھلا دیا تھا تم میں کچھ دنیا کے طلب گار تھے اور کچھ آخرت کے- اس کے بعد تم کو ان کفاّر کی طرف سے پھیر دیا تاکہ تمہارا امتحان لیا جائے اور پھر اس نے تمہیں معاف بھی کردیا کہ وہ صاحبانِ ایمان پر بڑا فضل و کرم کرنے والا ہے

اللہ نے (تائید و نصرت کا) جو وعدہ تم سے کیا تھا وہ تو اُس نے پورا کر دیا ابتدا میں اُس کے حکم سے تم ہی اُن کو قتل کر رہے تھے مگر جب تم نے کمزوری دکھائی اور اپنے کام میں باہم اختلاف کیا، اور جونہی کہ وہ چیز اللہ نے تمہیں دکھائی جس کی محبت میں تم گرفتار تھے (یعنی مال غنیمت) تم اپنے سردار کے حکم کی خلاف ورزی کر بیٹھے اس لیے کہ تم میں سے کچھ لوگ دنیا کے طالب تھے اور کچھ آخرت کی خواہش رکھتے تھے تب اللہ نے تمہیں کافروں کے مقابلہ میں پسپا کر دیا تاکہ تمہاری آزمائش کرے اور حق یہ ہے کہ اللہ نے پھر بھی تمہیں معاف ہی کر دیا کیونکہ مومنوں پر اللہ بڑی نظر عنایت رکھتا ہے

اور بیشک اللہ نے تمہیں سچ کر دکھایا اپنا وعدہ جب کہ تم اس کے حکم سے کافروں کو قتل کرتے تھے یہاں تک کہ جب تم نے بزدلی کی اور حکم میں جھگڑا ڈالا اور نافرمانی کی بعد اس کے کہ اللہ تمہیں دکھا چکا تمہاری خوشی کی بات تم میں کوئی دنیا چاہتا تھا اور تم میں کوئی آخرت چاہتا تھا پھر تمہارا منہ ان سے پھیردیا کہ تمہیں آزمائے اور بیشک اس نے تمہیں معاف کردیا، اور اللہ مسلمانوں پر فضل کرتا ہے،

خدا نے (جنگ احد میں) اپنا وعدہ (نصرت) اس وقت سچا کر دکھایا جب تم اس کے حکم سے ان (کافروں) کا قلع قمع کر رہے تھے یہاں تک کہ جب تم نے کمزوری دکھائی تو تم نے حکم عدولی کی۔ (یہ اس لئے کہ) تم میں کچھ دنیا کے طلب گار تھے اور کچھ آخرت کے طلبگار تھے پھر اس نے تمہیں ان کے مقابلے میں پسپا کر دیا تاکہ تمہارے ایمان و اخلاص کی آزمائش کرے۔ اور (پھر بھی) تمہیں معاف کر دیا۔ اور اللہ اہل ایمان پر بڑا فضل کرنے والا ہے۔

إِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلَا تَلْوُۥنَ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٍۢ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِىٓ أُخْرَىٰكُمْ فَأَثَٰبَكُمْ غَمًّۢا بِغَمٍّۢ لِّكَيْلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا مَآ أَصَٰبَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

⦿

When ye climbed (the hill) and paid no heed to anyone, while the messenger, in your rear, was calling you (to fight). Therefor He rewarded you grief for (his) grief, that (He might teach) you not to sorrow either for that which ye missed or for that which befell you. Allah is Informed of what ye do.

When you were fleeing without paying any attention to anyone, while the Apostle was calling you from your rear, He requited you with grief upon grief, so that you may not grieve for what you lose nor for what befalls you, and Allah is well aware of what you do.

(Believers remember) when you were fleeing without even glancing to either side even though the Messengers were calling you back, God made you suffer sorrow upon sorrow to make you forget your grief of what you had lost and the injuries you had suffered. God is Well-Aware of what you do.

When you ran off precipitately and did not wait for any one, and the Apostle was calling you from your rear, so He gave you another sorrow instead of (your) sorrow, so that you might not grieve at what had escaped you, nor (at) what befell you; and Allah is aware of what you do.

When you were running away and did not look back at anyone, while the Messenger was calling to you from behind, He paid you back with one sorrow after another, so that you might not grieve for what you lost, nor for what befell you. God is aware of what you do.

اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب تم بلندی پر جارہے تھے اور مڑ کر کسی کو دیکھتے بھی نہ تھے جب کہ رسول پیچھے کھڑے تمہیں آواز دے رہے تھے جس کے نتیجہ میں خدا نے تمہیں غم کے بدلے غم دیا تاکہ نہ اس پر رنجیدہ ہو جو چیز ہاتھ سے نکل گئی اور نہ اس مصیبت پر جو نازل ہوگئی ہے اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے

یاد کرو جب تم بھاگے چلے جا رہے تھے، کسی کی طرف پلٹ کر دیکھنے تک کا ہوش تمہیں نہ تھا، اور رسولؐ تمہارے پیچھے تم کو پکار رہا تھا اُس وقت تمہاری اس روش کا بدلہ اللہ نے تمہیں یہ دیا کہ تم کو رنج پر رنج دیے تاکہ آئندہ کے لیے تمہیں یہ سبق ملے کہ جو کچھ تمہارے ہاتھ سے جائے یا جو مصیبت تم پر نازل ہو اس پر ملول نہ ہو اللہ تمہارے سب اعمال سے باخبر ہے

جب تم منہ اٹھائے چلے جاتے تھے اور پیٹھ پھیر کر کسی کو نہ دیکھتے اور دوسری جماعت میں ہمارے رسول تمہیں پکار رہے تھے تو تمہیں غم کا بدلہ غم دیا اور معافی اس لئے سنائی کہ جو ہاتھ سے گیا اور جو افتاد پڑی اس کا رنج نہ کرو اور اللہ کوتمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے،

(اس وقت کو یاد کرو) جب تم بے تحاشا بھاگے چلے جا رہے تھے اور کسی کی طرف مڑ کر بھی نہیں دیکھتے تھے۔ حالانکہ پیغمبر(ص) تمہارے پیچھے سے تمہیں پکار رہے تھے۔ (تمہاری اس روش کی وجہ سے) خدا نے تمہیں ثواب کے بدلے رنج پر رنج دیا۔ تاکہ (آئندہ) جو چیز تمہارے ہاتھ سے نکل جائے اس پر ملول نہ ہو اور جو مصیبت درپیش ہو اس پر رنج نہ کرو۔ اور اللہ تمہارے سب اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلْغَمِّ أَمَنَةًۭ نُّعَاسًۭا يَغْشَىٰ طَآئِفَةًۭ مِّنكُمْ ۖ وَطَآئِفَةٌۭ قَدْ أَهَمَّتْهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ ظَنَّ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ ۖ يَقُولُونَ هَل لَّنَا مِنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَمْرَ كُلَّهُۥ لِلَّهِ ۗ يُخْفُونَ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم مَّا لَا يُبْدُونَ لَكَ ۖ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ شَىْءٌۭ مَّا قُتِلْنَا هَٰهُنَا ۗ قُل لَّوْ كُنتُمْ فِى بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَتْلُ إِلَىٰ مَضَاجِعِهِمْ ۖ وَلِيَبْتَلِىَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فِى صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Then, after grief, He sent down security for you. As slumber did it overcome a party of you, while (the other) party, who were anxious on their own account, thought wrongly of Allah, the thought of ignorance. They said: Have we any part in the cause? Say (O Muhammad): The cause belongeth wholly to Allah. They hide within themselves (a thought) which they reveal not unto thee, saying: Had we had any part in the cause we should not have been slain here. Say: Even though ye had been in your houses, those appointed to be slain would have gone forth to the places where they were to lie. (All this hath been) in order that Allah might try what is in your breasts and prove what is in your hearts. Allah is Aware of what is hidden in the breasts (of men).

Then He sent down to you safety after grief—a drowsiness that came over a group of you—while another group, anxious only about themselves, entertained false notions about Allah, notions of [pagan] ignorance. They say, [Do we have any role in the matter?] Say, [Indeed the matter belongs totally to Allah.] They hide in their hearts what they do not disclose to you. They say, [Had we any role in the matter, we would not have been slain here.] Say, [Even if you had remained in your houses, those destined to be slain would have set out toward the places where they were laid to rest, so that Allah may test what is in your breasts, and that He may purge what is in your hearts, and Allah knows well what is in the breasts.]

After the sorrows you suffered, He sent you relief and some of you were encompassed by slumber. To some others of you, your lives were so important that you, like ignorant people, began thinking suspiciously of God saying, [Do we have any say in the matter?] (Muhammad), tell them, [All matters belong to God.] They try to hide within their souls what they do not reveal to you. They say, [Had we had the matter in our hands, we would not have been killed there.] Tell them, [Even if you had stayed in your own homes, your sworn enemies could have attacked you and slain you while you were in your beds. God wanted to test you and purge what existed in your hearts.

Then after sorrow He sent down security upon you, a calm coming upon a party of you, and (there was) another party whom their own souls had rendered anxious; they entertained about Allah thoughts of ignorance quite unjustly, saying: We have no hand in the affair. Say: Surely the affair is wholly (in the hands) of Allah. They conceal within their souls what they would not reveal to you. They say: Had we any hand in the affair, we would not have been slain here. Say: Had you remained in your houses, those for whom slaughter was ordained would certainly have gone forth to the places where they would be slain, and that Allah might test what was in your breasts and that He might purge what was in your hearts; and Allah knows what is in the breasts.

They entertained false notions about God, like the notions of the days of ignorance. [Have we any say in the matter?] they asked. Say to them, [All is in the hands of God.] They conceal in their hearts what they would not reveal to you. They say, [Had we had any say in the matter, none of us would have been killed here.] Say to them, [Had you stayed in your homes, those whose death had been decreed would nevertheless have gone forth to the places where they were destined to die.] And all this befell you so that God might test what is in your minds. And in order to purify what was in your hearts. For God is aware of your innermost thoughts.

اس کے بعد خدا نے ایک گروہ پرپُر سکون نیند طاری کردی اور ایک کو نیند بھی نہ آئی کہ اسے صرف اپنی جان کی فکر تھی اور ان کے ذہن میں خلاف حق جاہلیت جیسے خیالات تھے اور وہ یہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ جنگ کے معاملات میں ہمارا کیا اختیار ہے پیغمبر آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اختیار صرف خدا کا ہے- یہ اپنے دل میں وہ باتیں چھپائے ہوئے ہیں جن کا آپ سے اظہار نہیں کرتے اور کہتے ہیں کہ اگر اختیار ہمارے ہاتھ میں ہوتا تو ہم یہاں نہ مارے جاتے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تم گھروں میں بھی رہ جاتے تو جن کے لئے شہادت لکھ دی گئی ہے وہ اپنے مقتل تک بہرحال جاتے اور خدا تمہارے دلوں کے حال کو آزمانا چاہتا ہے اور تمہارے ضمیر کی حقیقت کو واضح کرنا چاہتا ہے اور وہ خود ہر دل کا حال جانتا ہے

اس غم کے بعد پھر اللہ نے تم میں سے کچھ لوگوں پر ایسی اطمینان کی سی حالت طاری کر دی کہ وہ اونگھنے لگے مگر ایک دوسرا گروہ، جس کے لیے ساری اہمیت بس اپنے مفاد ہی کی تھی، اللہ کے متعلق طرح طرح کے جاہلانہ گمان کرنے لگا جو سراسر خلاف حق تھے یہ لوگ اب کہتے ہیں کہ، ——اس کام کے چلانے میں ہمارا بھی کوئی حصہ ہے؟—— ان سے کہو ——(کسی کا کوئی حصہ نہیں) اِس کام کے سارے اختیارات اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہیں—— دراصل یہ لوگ اپنے دلوں میں جو بات چھپائے ہوئے ہیں اُسے تم پر ظاہر نہیں کرتے ان کا اصل مطلب یہ ہے کہ، ——اگر (قیادت کے) اختیارات میں ہمارا کچھ حصہ ہوتا تو یہاں ہم نہ مارے جاتے—— ان سے کہہ دو کہ، ——اگر تم اپنے گھروں میں بھی ہوتے تو جن لوگوں کی موت لکھی ہوئی تھی وہ خود اپنی قتل گاہوں کی طرف نکل آتے—— اور یہ معاملہ جو پیش آیا، یہ تو اس لیے تھا کہ جو کچھ تمہارے سینوں میں پوشیدہ ہے اللہ اُسے آزما لے اور جو کھوٹ تمہارے دلوں میں ہے اُسے چھانٹ دے، اللہ دلوں کا حال خوب جانتا ہے

پھر تم پر غم کے بعد چین کی نیند اتاری کہ تمہاری ایک جماعت کو گھیرے تھی اور ایک گروہ کو اپنی جان کی پڑی تھی اللہ پر بے جا گمان کرتے تھے جاہلیت کے سے گمان، کہتے کیا اس کام میں کچھ ہمارا بھی اختیار ہے تم فرمادو کہ اختیار تو سارا اللہ کا ہے اپنے دلوں میں چھپاتے ہیں جو تم پر ظاہر نہیں کرتے کہتے ہیں، ہمارا کچھ بس ہوتا تو ہم یہاں نہ مارے جاتے، تم فرمادو کہ اگر تم اپنے گھروں میں ہوتے جب بھی جن کا مارا جانا لکھا جاچکا تھا اپنی قتل گاہوں تک نکل آتے اور اس لئے کہ اللہ تمہارے سینوں کی بات آزمائے اور جو کچھ تمہارے دلو ں میں ہے اسے کھول دے اور اللہ دلوں کی بات جانتا ہے

پھر اس (خدا) نے رنج و غم کے بعد نیند کی صورت میں تم پر سکون و اطمینان اتارا۔ جو تم میں سے ایک گروہ پر طاری ہوگئی۔ اور ایک گروہ ایسا تھا کہ جسے صرف اپنی جانوں کی فکر تھی وہ اللہ کے ساتھ ناحق زمانۂ جاہلیت والے گمان کر رہا تھا وہ کہہ رہا تھا۔ کہ آیا اس معاملہ میں ہمیں بھی کچھ اختیار ہے؟ کہہ دیجیے۔ ہر امر کا اختیار صرف اللہ کو ہے۔ یہ لوگ اپنے دلوں میں ایسی باتیں چھپائے ہوئے ہیں۔ جن کا آپ سے اظہار نہیں کرتے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ہمارے ہاتھ میں بھی کچھ اختیار ہوتا تو ہم یہاں مارے نہ جاتے۔ کہہ دیجیے! اگر تم لوگ اپنے گھروں میں بھی ہوتے تو بھی جن کے لئے قتل ہونا لکھا جا چکا تھا وہ ضرور اپنے مقتل کی طرف نکل کر جاتے (یہ سب کچھ اس لئے ہوا) کہ خدا اسے آزمائے جو کچھ تمہارے سینوں کے اندر ہے اور نکھار کے سامنے لائے اس (کھوٹ) کو جو تمہارے دلوں میں ہے اور اللہ سینوں کے اندر کی باتوں کا خوب جاننے والا ہے۔

Lo! those of you who turned back on the day when the two hosts met, Satan alone it was who caused them to backslide, because of some of that which they have earned. Now Allah hath forgiven them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Clement.

Those of you who fled on the day when the two hosts met, only Satan had made them stumble because of some of their deeds. Certainly, Allah has excused them, for Allah is all-forgiving, all-forbearing.

God knows what the hearts contain. Because of some of your bad deeds, those of you who ran away, when you faced the enemy, were misled by Satan. God forgave you for He is All-forgiving and Forbearing.]

(As for) those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met, only the Shaitan sought to cause them to make a slip on account of some deeds they had done, and certainly Allah has pardoned them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَقَالُوا۟ لِإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُوا۟ غُزًّۭى لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُوا۟ وَمَا قُتِلُوا۟ لِيَجْعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ حَسْرَةًۭ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ

O ye who believe! Be not as those who disbelieved and said of their brethren who went abroad in the land or were fighting in the field: If they had been (here) with us they would not have died or been killed: that Allah may make it anguish in their hearts. Allah giveth life and causeth death; and Allah is Seer of what ye do.

Do not be like the faithless who say of their brethren, when they travel in the land or go into battle, [Had they stayed with us they would not have died or been killed,] so that Allah may make it a regret in their hearts. But Allah gives life and brings death, and Allah watches what you do.

Believers, do not be like the unbelievers, who said of their brothers who travelled in the land or took part in a fight, [Had they stayed with us, they would not have died or been killed.] God will only cause regret to enter their hearts. It is God who gives life and causes people to die. God is Well Aware of what you do.

Believers, do not be like those who are bent on denying the truth and who say of their brothers, when they travel about the land or go forth to war, [Had they but remained with us, they would not have died, or been slain] -- for God will cause such thoughts to become a source of bitter regret in their hearts, since it is God who gives life and causes death. اے ایمان والوں خبردار کافروں جیسے نہ ہوجاؤ جنہوں نے اپنے ساتھیوں کے سفر یا جنگ میں مرنے پر یہ کہنا شروع کردیا کہ وہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ قتل کئے جاتے.. خدا تمہاری علیحدگی ہی کو ان کے لئے باعجُ مسرّت قرار دینا چاہتا ہے کہ موت و حیات اسی کے اختیار میں ہے اور وہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، کافروں کی سی باتیں نہ کرو جن کے عزیز و اقارب اگر کبھی سفر پر جاتے ہیں یا جنگ میں شریک ہوتے ہیں (اور وہاں کسی حادثہ سے دو چار ہو جاتے ہیں) تو وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر وہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مارے جاتے اور نہ قتل ہوتے اللہ اس قسم کی باتوں کو ان کے دلوں میں حسرت و اندوہ کا سبب بنا دیتا ہے، ورنہ دراصل مارنے اور جِلانے والا تو اللہ ہی ہے اور تمہاری حرکات پر وہی نگراں ہے

اے ایمان والو! ان کافروں کی طرح نہ ہونا جنہوں نے اپنے بھائیوں کی نسبت کہا کہ جب وہ سفر یا جہاد کو گئے کہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ مارے جاتے اس لئے اللہ ان کے دلوں میں اس کا افسوس رکھے، اور اللہ جِلاتا اور مارتا ہے اور اللہ تمہارے کام دیکھ رہا ہے،

اے ایمان والو! کافروں کی طرح نہ ہو جاؤ جو اپنے ان بھائی بندوں کے بارے میں کہتے ہیں جو سفر میں گئے۔ یا جہاد کے لیے نکلے (اور وہاں وفات پا گئے) کہ اگر وہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ (طبعی موت) مرتے اور نہ قتل کئے جاتے۔ یہ لوگ یہ بات اس لئے کہتے ہیں کہ خدا اسے ان کے دلوں میں رنج و حسرت کا باعث بنا دے۔ حالانکہ اللہ ہی زندہ رکھتا ہے اور مارتا ہے۔ اور تم جو کچھ بھی کرتے ہو اللہ اسے خوب دیکھ رہا ہے۔

And what though ye be slain in Allah's way or die therein? Surely pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all that they amass.

It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them (O Muhammad), for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust (in Him).

It is by Allah]s mercy that you are gentle to them; had you been harsh and hardhearted, they would have surely scattered from around you. So excuse them and plead for forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affairs, and once you are resolved, put your trust in Allah. Indeed Allah loves those who trust in Him.

Only through the Divine Mercy have you (Muhammad) been able to deal with your followers so gently. If you had been stern and hard-hearted, they would all have deserted you a long time ago. Forgive them and ask God to forgive (their sins) and consult with them in certain matters. But, when you reach a decision, trust God. God loves those who trust Him.

Thus it is due to mercy from Allah that you deal with them gently, and had you been rough, hard hearted, they would certainly have dispersed from around you; pardon them therefore and ask pardon for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; so when you have decided, then place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who trust.

(اے پیغمبرؐ) یہ اللہ کی بڑی رحمت ہے کہ تم اِن لوگوں کے لیے بہت نرم مزاج واقع ہوئے ہو ورنہ اگر کہیں تم تند خو اور سنگ دل ہوتے تو یہ سب تمہارے گردو پیش سے چھٹ جاتے اِن کے قصور معاف کر دو، اِن کے حق میں دعا ئے مغفرت کرو، اور دین کے کام میں ان کو بھی شریک مشورہ رکھو، پھر جب تمہارا عزم کسی رائے پر مستحکم ہو جائے تو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرو، اللہ کو وہ لوگ پسند ہیں جو اُسی کے بھروسے پر کام کرتے ہیں

If Allah is your helper none can overcome you, and if He withdraw His help from you, who is there who can help you after Him? In Allah let believers put their trust.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
