نَجْزِى

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

١٤
وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُۥ وَٱسْتَوَىٰٓ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًۭا وَعِلْمًۭا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And when he reached his full strength and was ripe, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. Thus do We reward the good. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When he came of age and became fully matured, We gave him judgement and knowledge, and thus do We reward the virtuous. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When he become matured and grow to manhood, We granted him wisdom and knowledge. Thus do We reward the righteous ones. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when he attained his maturity and became full grown, We granted him wisdom and knowledge; and thus do We reward those who do good (to others). - Shakir, Habib

When Moses reached full manhood and maturity, We bestowed upon him wisdom and knowledge: this is how We reward those who do good. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب موسٰی جوانی کی توانائیوں کو پہنچے اور تندرست ہوگئے تو ہم نے انہیں علم اور حکمت عطا کردی اور ہم اسی طرح نیک عمل والوں کو جزا دیا کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب موسیٰؑ اپنی پوری جوانی کو پہنچ گیا اور اس کا نشوونما مکمل ہو گیا تو ہم نے اسے حکم اور علم عطا کیا، ہم نیک لوگوں کو ایسی ہی جزا دیتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب اپنی جوانی کو پہنچا اور پورے زور پر آیا ہم نے اسے حکم اور علم عطا فرمایا اور ہم ایسا ہی صلہ دیتے ہیں نیکوں کو، - Ahmed Raza

اور جب وہ (بچہ) اپنے پورے شباب کو پہنچ گیا اور (قد و قامت) پورا درست ہوگیا تو ہم نے اس کو (خاص) حکمت و علم عطا کیا اور ہم اسی طرح نیکوکاروں کو صلہ دیتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَدَخَلَ
And entered
ٱلْمَدِينَةَ
the governance city
عَلَىٰ
upon
حِينِ
a time
غَفْلَةٍۢ
unaware
مِّنْ
of
أَهْلِهَا
its occupants,
فَوَجَدَ
then found
فِيهَا
therein
رَجُلَيْنِ
two men
يَقْتَتِلَانِ
fighting each other:
هَٰذَا
this (a one)
مِن
from
شِيعَتِهِۦ
his followers
وَهَٰذَا
while this (a one)
مِنْ
from
عَدُوِّهِۦ
his enemies;
ۖ
فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ
so asked him for help
ٱلَّذِى
the one who was
مِن
from
شِيعَتِهِۦ
his party
عَلَى
upon
ٱلَّذِى
the who was
مِنْ
from
عَدُوِّهِۦ
his opposition,
فَوَكَزَهُۥ
so struck at him
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
فَقَضَىٰ
thus finished
عَلَيْهِ
upon him.
ۖ
قَالَ
(Moosa) said,
هَٰذَا
[This is
مِنْ
from
عَمَلِ
doing of
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ
the cognitively stuck one;
ۖ
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed he is
عَدُوٌّۭ
an enemy
مُّضِلٌّۭ
who misleads
مُّبِينٌۭ
clearly.]
٢٨
١٥
وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ ۖ فَٱسْتَغَٰثَهُ ٱلَّذِى مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ عَلَى ٱلَّذِى مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّضِلٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ And entered the governance city upon a time unaware of its occupants, then found therein two men fighting each other: this (a one) from his followers while this (a one) from his enemies; so asked him for help the one who was from his party upon the who was from his opposition, so struck at him Moosa thus finished upon him. (Moosa) said, [This is from doing of the cognitively stuck one; indeed he is an enemy who misleads clearly.]

And he entered the city at a time of carelessness of its folk, and he found therein two men fighting, one of his own caste, and the other of his enemies; and he who was of his caste asked him for help against him who was of his enemies. So Moses struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: This is of the devil's doing. Lo! he is an enemy, a mere misleader. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[One day] he entered the city at a time when its people were not likely to take notice. He found there two men fighting, this one from among his followers, and that one from his enemies. The one who was from his followers sought his help against him who was from his enemies. So Moses hit him with his fist, whereupon he expired. He said, [This is of Satan]s doing. Indeed he is clearly a misguiding enemy.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

He entered the city without the knowledge of its inhabitants and found two men fighting each other. One was his follower and the other his enemy. His follower asked him for help. Moses struck his enemy to death, but later said, [It was the work of satan; he is the sworn enemy of the human being and wants to mislead him]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he went into the city at a time of unvigilance on the part of its people, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his party and the other of his foes, and he who was of his party cried out to him for help against him who was of his enemies, so Musa struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: This is on account of the Shaitan's doing; surely he is an enemy, openly leading astray. - Shakir, Habib

He entered the city unnoticed by its people, and there he encountered two men fighting with one another -- one of his own people and the other one of his enemies. The one who belonged to his own people cried out to him for help against his foe -- whereupon Moses struck him down with his fist, thereby causing his death. اور موسٰی شہر میں اس وقت داخل ہوئے جب لوگ غفلت کی نیند میں تھے تو انہوں نے دو آدمیوں کو لڑتے ہوئے دیکھا ایک ان کے شیعوں میں سے تھا اور ایک دشمنوں میں سے تو جو ان کے شیعوں میں سے تھا اس نے دشمن کے ظلم کی فریاد کی تو موسٰی نے اسے ایک گھونسہ مار کر اس کی زندگی کا فیصلہ کردیا اور کہا کہ یہ یقینا شیطان کے عمل سے تھا اور یقینا شیطان دشمن اور کھنَا ہوا گمراہ کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(ایک روز) وہ شہر میں ایسے وقت میں داخل ہوا جبکہ اہلِ شہر غفلت میں تھے وہاں اس نے دیکھا کہ دو آدمی لڑ رہے ہیں ایک اس کی اپنی قوم کا تھا اور دُوسرا اس کی دشمن قوم سے تعلق رکھتا تھا اس کی قوم کے آدمی نے دشمن قوم والے کے خلاف اسے مدد کے لیے پکارا موسیٰؑ نے اس کو ایک گھونسا مارا اور اس کا کام تمام کر دیا (یہ حرکت سرزد ہوتے ہی) موسیٰؑ نے کہا ——یہ شیطان کی کارفرمائی ہے، وہ سخت دشمن اور کھلا گمراہ کن ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس شہر میں داخل ہوا جس وقت شہر والے دوپہر کے خواب میں بے خبر تھے تو اس میں دو مرد لڑتے پائے، ایک موسیٰ، کے گروہ سے تھا اور دوسرا اس کے دشمنوں سے تو وہ جو اس کے گروہ سے تھا اس نے موسیٰ سے مدد مانگی، اس پر جو اس کے دشمنوں سے تھا، تو موسیٰ نے اس کے گھونسا مارا تو اس کا کام تما م کردیا کہا یہ کام شیطان کی طرف سے ہوا بیشک وہ دشمن ہے کھلا گمراہ کرنے والا، - Ahmed Raza

وہ (جوان) ایسے وقت شہر میں داخل ہوا جب کہ اس شہر کے باشندے بے خبر تھے۔ تو اس نے وہاں دو آدمیوں کو آپس میں لڑتے ہوئے پایا۔ یہ ایک ان کے گروہ میں سے تھا۔ اور یہ دوسرا ان کے دشمنوں میں سے تھا پس جو اس کے گروہ میں سے تھا اس نے (موسیٰ) کو اس کے خلاف جو اس کے دشمنوں میں سے تھا مدد کیلئے پکارا تو موسیٰ نے اسے ایک مکا مارا۔ بس اس کا کام تمام کر دیا اور کہا یہ (ان کی لڑائی) شیطان کی کاروائی تھی۔ بےشک وہ کھلا ہوا گمراہ کرنے والا دشمن ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

رَبِّ
[Lord!
إِنِّى
I
ظَلَمْتُ
have wronged
نَفْسِى
my psyche,
فَٱغْفِرْ
thus have forgiveness
لِى
for me],
فَغَفَرَ
thus (He) had forgiveness
لَهُۥٓ
for him,
ۚ
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed He
هُوَ
is
ٱلْغَفُورُ
the Forgiver,
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Merciful.
٢٨
١٦
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى فَٱغْفِرْ لِى فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ (Moosa) said, [Lord! I have wronged my psyche, thus have forgiveness for me], thus (He) had forgiveness for him, indeed He is the Forgiver, the Merciful.

He said: My Lord! Lo! I have wronged my soul, so forgive me. Then He forgave him. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [My Lord! I have wronged myself. Forgive me!] So He forgave him. Indeed, He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Moses) said, [Lord, I have wronged myself. Forgive me!] The Lord forgave him; He is All-forgiving and All-merciful. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: My Lord! surely I have done harm to myself, so do Thou protect me. So He protected him; surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. - Shakir, Habib

He prayed, [Forgive me Lord, for I have sinned against my soul.] God forgave him; for He is the Forgiving One, the Merciful. - Wahiduddin Khan

موسٰی نے کہا کہ پروردگار میں نے اپنے نفس کے لئے مصیبت مول لے لی لہذا مجھ معاف کردے تو پروردگار نے معاف کردیا کہ وہ بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر وہ کہنے لگا ——اے میرے رب، مَیں نے اپنے نفس پر بڑا ظلم کر ڈالا، میری مغفرت فرما دے—— چنانچہ اللہ نے اس کی مغفرت فرما دی، وہ غفور رحیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

عرض کی، اے میرے رب! میں نے اپنی جان پر زیادتی کی تو مجھے بخش دے تو رب نے اسے بخش دیا، بیشک وہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے، - Ahmed Raza

ظَهِيرًۭا
show up
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
for the criminals.]
(Moosa) said, [Lord! With what you have sent favour upon me, thus never will I show up for the criminals.]

He said: My Lord! Forasmuch as Thou hast favoured me, I will nevermore be a supporter of the guilty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [My Lord! As You have blessed me, I will never be a supporter of the guilty.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

He said, [Lord, in appreciation for Your favor to me I shall never support the criminals]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: My Lord! because Thou hast bestowed a favor on me, I shall never be a backer of the guilty. - Shakir, Habib

He said, [My Lord, because of the favour that You have shown me, I vow that I will never be a helper of the guilty.] - Wahiduddin Khan

موسٰی نے کہا کہ پروردگار تونے میری مدد کی ہے لہذا میں کبھی مجرموں کا ساتھی نہیں بنوں گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

موسیٰؑ نے عہد کیا کہ ——“اے میرے رب، یہ احسان جو تو نے مجھ پر کیا ہے اِس کے بعد اب میں کبھی مجرموں کا مدد گار نہ بنوں گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

عرض کی اے میرے رب جیسا تو نے مجھ پر احسان کیا تو اب ہرگز میں مجرموں کا مددگار نہ ہوں گا، - Ahmed Raza

فَأَصْبَحَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ خَآئِفًۭا يَتَرَقَّبُ فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ ۚ قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِىٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And morning found him in the city, fearing, vigilant, when behold! he who had appealed to him the day before cried out to him for help. Moses said unto him: Lo! thou art indeed a mere hothead. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He rose at dawn in the city, fearful and vigilant, when behold, the one who had sought his help the day before, shouted for his help [once again]. Moses said to him, [You are indeed clearly perverse!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

He remained in the city but very afraid and cautious. Suddenly the person who asked him for help the previous day asked him for help again. Moses said, [You are certainly a mischievous person]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he was in the city, fearing, awaiting, when lo! he who had asked his assistance the day before was crying out to him for aid. Musa said to him: You are most surely one erring manifestly. - Shakir, Habib

The next morning, when he was walking in the city, apprehensive, and watchful, and the man who had sought his help the day before cried out to him again for help. Moses said to him, [You are clearly a misguided man.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر صبح کے وقت موسٰی شہر میں داخل ہوئے تو خوفزدہ اور حالات کی نگرانی کرتے ہوئے کہ اچانک دیکھا کہ جس نے کل مدد کے لئے پکارا تھا وہ پھر فریاد کررہا ہے موسٰی نے کہا کہ یقینا تو کھنَا ہوا گمراہ ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

دُوسرے روز وہ صبح سویرے ڈرتا اور ہر طرف سے خطرہ بھانپتا ہوا شہر میں جا رہا تھا کہ یکایک کیا دیکھتا ہے کہ وہی شخص جس نے کل اسے مدد کے لیے پکارا تھا آج پھر اسے پکار رہا ہے موسیٰؑ نے کہا ——تُو تو بڑا ہی بہکا ہُوا آدمی ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو صبح کی، اس شہر میں ڈرتے ہوئے اس انتظار میں کہ کیا ہوتا ہے جبھی دیکھا کہ وہ جس نے کل ان سے مدد چاہی تھی فریاد کررہا ہے موسیٰ نے اس سے فرمایا بیشک تو کھلا گمراہ ہے - Ahmed Raza

پھر موسیٰ نے شہر میں اس حال میں صبح کی کہ وہ خوف زدہ اور منتظر تھا (کہ کیا ہوتا ہے؟) کہ اچانک دیکھا کہ وہی شخص جس نے کل اس سے مدد طلب کی تھی (آج پھر چیخ کر( اس کو مدد کیلئے پکار رہا ہے موسیٰ نے اس سے کہا کہ تو کھلا ہوا بد راہ ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And when he would have fallen upon the man who was an enemy unto them both, he said: O Moses! Wouldst thou kill me as thou didst kill a person yesterday. Thou wouldst be nothing but a tyrant in the land, thou wouldst not be of the reformers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But when he wanted to strike him who was an enemy of both of them, he said, [Moses, do you want to kill me, just like the one you killed yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be one who brings about reform.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: O Musa! do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You desire nothing but that you should be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be of those who act aright. - Shakir, Habib

پھر جب موسٰی نے چاہا کہ اس پر حملہ آور ہوں جو دونوں کا دشمن ہے تو اس نے کہا کہ موسٰی تم اسی طرح مجھے قتل کرنا چاہتے ہو جس طرح تم نے کل ایک بے گناہ کو قتل کیا ہے تم صرف روئے زمین میں سرکش حاکم بن کر رہنا چاہتے ہو اور یہ نہیں چاہتے ہو کہ تمہارا شمار اصلاح کرنے والوں میں ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب موسیٰؑ نے ارادہ کیا کہ دشمن قوم کے آدمی پر حملہ کرے تو وہ پکار اٹھا ——اے موسیٰؑ، کیا آج تو مجھے اُسی طرح قتل کرنے لگا ہے جس طرح کل ایک شخص کو قتل کر چکا ہے، تو اس ملک میں جبّار بن کر رہنا چاہتا ہے، اصلاح نہیں کرنا چاہتا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو جب موسیٰ نے چاہا کہ اس پر گرفت کرے جو ان دونوں کا دشمن ہے وہ بولا اے موسیٰ کیا تم مجھے ویسا ہی قتل کرنا چاہتے ہو جیسا تم نے کل ایک شخص کو قتل کردیا، تم تو یہی چاہتے ہو کہ زمین میں سخت گیر بنو اور اصلاح کرنا نہیں چاہتے - Ahmed Raza

پھر جب موسیٰ نے اس شخص پر سخت ہاتھ ڈالنا چاہا جو ان دونوں کا دشمن تھا تو اس نے کہا اے موسیٰ تو (آج) مجھے اسی طرح قتل کرنا چاہتا ہے جس طرح کل ایک شخص کو قتل کیا؟ تو بس یہی چاہتا ہے کہ زمین میں سرکش بن جائے اور یہ نہیں چاہتا کہ اصلاح کرنے والوں میں سے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَجَآءَ رَجُلٌۭ مِّنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ ٱلْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَٱخْرُجْ إِنِّى لَكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And a man came from the uttermost part of the city, running. He said: O Moses! Lo! the chiefs take counsel against thee to slay thee; therefor escape. Lo! I am of those who give thee good advice. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

There came a man from the city outskirts, hurrying. He said, [Moses! The elite are indeed conspiring to kill you. So leave. I am indeed your well-wisher.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

A man came running from the farthest part of the city saying, [Moses, people are planning to kill you. I sincerely advise you to leave the city. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And a man came running from the remotest part of the city. He said: O Musa! surely the chiefs are consulting together to slay you, therefore depart (at once); surely I am of those who wish well to you. - Shakir, Habib

A man came running from the far side of the city, and said, [Moses, the authorities are conspiring to kill you, so leave the city. I am one of your well-wishers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ادھر آخ» شہر سے ایک شخص دوڑتا ہوا آیا اور اس نے کہا کہ موسٰی شہر کے بڑے لوگ باہمی مشورہ کررہے ہیں کہ تمہیں قتل کردیں لہذا تم شہر سے باہر نکل جاؤ میں تمہارے لئے نصیحت کرنے والوں میں سے ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اس کے بعد ایک آدمی شہر کے پرلے سِرے سے دَوڑتا ہوا آیا اور بولا ——موسیٰؑ، سرداروں میں تیرے قتل کے مشورے ہو رہے ہیں، یہاں سے نکل جا، میں تیرا خیر خواہ ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

So he escaped from thence, fearing, vigilant. He said: My Lord! Deliver me from the wrongdoing folk. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So he left the city, fearful and vigilant. He said, [My Lord! Deliver me from the wrongdoing lot.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

So he left the city afraid and cautious, saying, [Lord, protect me against the unjust people]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So he went forth therefrom, fearing, awaiting, (and) he said: My Lord! deliver me from the unjust people. - Shakir, Habib

So Moses departed from the city, fearful and vigilant, and prayed, [My Lord, save me from these unjust people.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو موسٰی شہر سے باہر نکلے خوفزدہ اور دائیں بائیں دیکھتے ہوئے اور کہا کہ پروردگار مجھے ظالم قوم سے محفوظ رکھنا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ خبر سنتے ہی موسیٰؑ ڈرتا اور سہمتا نکل کھڑا ہوا اور اس نے دعا کی کہ ——اے میرے رب، مجھے ظالموں سے بچا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَلَمَّا وَرَدَ مَآءَ مَدْيَنَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْقُونَ وَوَجَدَ مِن دُونِهِمُ ٱمْرَأَتَيْنِ تَذُودَانِ ۖ قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُمَا ۖ قَالَتَا لَا نَسْقِى حَتَّىٰ يُصْدِرَ ٱلرِّعَآءُ ۖ وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when he came unto the water of Midian he found there a whole tribe of men, watering. And he found apart from them two women keeping back (their flocks). He said: What aileth you? The two said: We cannot give (our flocks) to drink till the shepherds return from the water; and our father is a very old man. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When he arrived at the well of Midian, he found there a throng of people watering [their flocks], and he found, besides them, two women holding back [their flock]. He said, [What is your business?] They said, [We do not water [our flock] until the shepherds have driven out [their flocks], and our father is an aged man.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When he arrived at the well of Midian, he found some people watering (their sheep) and two women keeping the sheep away from the others. He asked the two women, [What is the matter with you?] They replied, [We cannot water our sheep until all the shepherds have driven away their flocks. Our father is an old man]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when he came to the water of Madyan, he found on it a group of men watering, and he found besides them two women keeping back (their flocks). He said: What is the matter with you? They said: We cannot water until the shepherds take away (their sheep) from the water, and our father is a very old man. - Shakir, Habib

And when he arrived at the well of Midian, he found around it a group of men watering their flocks, and he saw two women standing apart from them, who were holding back their flocks, so he asked, [What is the matter with you?] They replied, [We cannot draw water until the shepherds take away their sheep. اور جب مدین کے چشمہ پروارد ہوئے تو لوگوں کی ایک جماعت کو دیکھا جو جانوروں کو پانی پلارہی تھی اور ان سے الگ دو عورتیں تھیں جو جانوروں کو روکے کھڑی تھیں .موسٰی نے پوچھا کہ تم لوگوں کا کیا مسئلہ ہے ان دونوں نے کہا کہ ہم اس وقت تک پانی نہیں پلاتے ہیں جب تک ساری قوم ہٹ نہ جائے اور ہمارے بابا ایک ضعیف العمر آدمی ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب وہ مَدیَن کے کنوئیں پر پہنچا تو اُس نے دیکھا کہ بہت سے لوگ اپنے جانوروں کو پانی پلا رہے ہیں اور ان سے الگ ایک طرف دو عورتیں اپنے جانوروں کو روک رہی ہیں موسیٰؑ نے اِن عورتوں سے پوچھا ——تمہیں کیا پریشانی ہے؟—— انہوں نے کہا ——ہم اپنے جانوروں کو پانی نہیں پلا سکتیں جب تک یہ چرواہے اپنے جانور نکال کر نہ لے جائیں، اور ہمارے والد ایک بہت بوڑھے آدمی ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب مدین کے پانی پر آیا وہاں لوگوں کے ایک گروہ کو دیکھا کہ اپنے جانوروں کو پانی پلارہے ہیں، اور ان سے اس طرف دو عورتیں دیکھیں کہ اپنے جانوروں کو روک رہی ہیں موسیٰ نے فرمایا تم دونوں کا کیا حال ہے وہ بولیں ہم پانی نہیں پلاتے جب تک سب چرواہے پلاکر پھیر نہ لے جائیں اور ہمارے باپ بہت بوڑھے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور جب وہ مدین کے پانی (کنویں) پر پہنچا تو وہاں لوگوں کا ایک مجمع پایا جو (اپنے مویشیوں کو) پانی پلا رہا ہے اور ان لوگوں سے الگ دو عورتوں کو پایا کہ وہ (اپنے ریوڑ کو) روکے ہوئے کھڑی ہیں۔ موسیٰ نے کہا تمہارا کیا معاملہ ہے؟ ان دونوں نے کہا ہم اس وقت تک (اپنے جانوروں کو) پانی نہیں پلاتیں جب تک (یہ) چرواہے اپنے مویشیوں کو (پانی پلا کر) نہ لے جائیں اور ہمارے والد بہت بوڑھے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
