And Allah coineth a similitude: Two men, one of them dumb, having control of nothing, and he is a burden on his owner; whithersoever he directeth him to go, he bringeth no good. Is he equal with one who enjoineth justice and followeth a straight path (of conduct)? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah draws [another] parable: Two men, one of whom is dumb, having no power over anything and who is a liability to his master: wherever he directs him he does not bring any good. Is he equal to someone who enjoins justice and is [steady] on a straight path? - Qarai, Ali Quli

اور اللہ نے ایک اور مثال ان دو انسانوں کی بیان کی ہے جن میں سے ایک گونگا ہے اور اس کے بس میں کچھ نہیں ہے بلکہ وہ خود اپنے مولا کے سر پر ایک بوجھ ہے کہ جس طرف بھی بھیج دے کوئی خیر لے کر نہ آئے گا تو کیا وہ اس کے برابر ہوسکتا ہے جو عدل کا حکم دیتا ہے اور سیدھے راستہ پر گامزن ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ ایک اور مثال دیتا ہے دو آدمی ہیں ایک گونگا بہرا ہے، کوئی کام نہیں کر سکتا، اپنے آقا پر بوجھ بنا ہوا ہے، جدھر بھی وہ اسے بھیجے کوئی بھلا کام اُس سے بن نہ آئے دوسرا شخص ایسا ہے کہ انصاف کا حکم دیتا ہے اور خود راہ راست پر قائم ہے بتاؤ کیا یہ دونوں یکساں ہیں؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala
