Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ نَصِيبًۭا مِّمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ ۗ تَٱللَّهِ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَفْتَرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They assign a share in what We have provided them to what they do not know. By Allah, you will surely be questioned concerning what you used to fabricate. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They give to unknown images a share out of the sustenance that We gave them. By God, you will be questioned about that which you have falsely invented. - Sarwar, Muhammad

يَتَوَٰرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ مِن سُوٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِۦٓ ۚ أَيُمْسِكُهُۥ عَلَىٰ هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُۥ فِى ٱلتُّرَابِ ۗ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He hides from the people out of distress at the news he has been brought: shall he retain it in humiliation, or bury it in the ground! Behold! Evil is the judgement that they make. - Qarai, Ali Quli

If Allah were to take mankind to task for their wrong-doing, he would not leave hereon a living creature, but He reprieveth them to an appointed term, and when their term cometh they cannot put (it) off an hour nor (yet) advance (it). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Were Allah to take mankind to task for their wrongdoing, He would not leave any living being upon it. But He respites them until a specified time; so when their time comes they shall not defer it by a single hour nor shall they advance it. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Was God to seize people immediately for their injustice, no living creature would be left on earth. He gives them respite for an appointed time. When their term is over, they will not be able to change the inevitable. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they assign unto Allah that which they (themselves) dislike, and their tongues expound the lie that the better portion will be theirs. Assuredly theirs will be the Fire, and they will be abandoned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They attribute to Allah what they dislike [for themselves], and their tongues assert the lie that the best of rewards [in the Hereafter] will be theirs. Undoubtedly, the Fire shall be their lot and they will be foremost [in entering it]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

By Allah, We verily sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fairseeming unto them. So he is their patron this day, and theirs will be a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send down the Book to you except [for the purpose] that you may clarify for them what they differ about, and as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Allah sendeth down water from the sky and therewith reviveth the earth after her death. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a folk who hear. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And lo! in the cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, from betwixt the refuse and the blood, pure milk palatable to the drinkers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And of the fruits of the date-palm, and grapes, whence ye derive strong drink and (also) good nourishment. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who have sense. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build: - Shakir, Habib

Your Lord inspired the bee, saying, [Make your homes in the mountains, in the trees, and also in the structures which men erect. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور تمہارے پروردگار نے شہد کی مکھی کو اشارہ دیا کہ پہاڑوں اور درختوں اور گھروں کی بلندیوں میں اپنے گھر بنائے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ثُمَّ كُلِى مِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ فَٱسْلُكِى سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلًۭا ۚ يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌۭ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ فِيهِ شِفَآءٌۭ لِّلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then eat from every [kind of] fruit and follow meekly the ways of your Lord.] There issues from its belly a juice of diverse hues, in which there is a cure for the people. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who reflect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

اس کے بعد مختلف پھلوں سے غذا حاصل کرے اور نرمی کے ساتھ خدائی راستہ پر چلے جس کے بعد اس کے شکم سے مختلف قسم کے مشروب برآمد ہوں گے جس میں پورے عالم انسانیت کے لئے شفا کا سامان ہے اور اس میں بھی فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے ایک نشانی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اپنے چھتے بنا اور ہر طرح کے پھلوں کا رس چوس اور اپنے رب کی ہموار کی ہوئی راہوں پر چلتی رہ اِس مکھی کے اندر سے رنگ برنگ کا ایک شربت نکلتا ہے جس میں شفا ہے لوگوں کے لیے یقیناً اس میں بھی ایک نشانی ہے اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو غور و فکر کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر ہر قسم کے پھل میں سے کھا اور اپنے رب کی راہیں چل کر تیرے لیے نرم و آسان ہیں، اس کے پیٹ سے ایک پینے کی چیز رنگ برنگ نکلتی ہے، جس میں لوگوں کی تندرستی ہے، بیشک اس میں نشانی ہے دھیان کرنے والوں کو، - Ahmed Raza

And Allah createth you, then causeth you to die, and among you is he who is brought back to the most abject stage of life, so that he knoweth nothing after (having had) knowledge. Lo! Allah is Knower, Powerful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has created you, then He takes you away, and there are some among you who are relegated to the nethermost age so that he knows nothing after [having possessed] some knowledge. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-powerful. - Qarai, Ali Quli

And Allah hath favoured some of you above others in provision. Now those who are more favoured will by no means hand over their provision to those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, so that they may be equal with them in respect thereof. Is it then the grace of Allah that they deny? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has granted some of you an advantage over others in [respect of] provision. Those who have been granted an advantage do not give over their provision to their slaves so that they become equal in its respect. What, do they deny the blessing of Allah? - Qarai, Ali Quli

And Allah has made some of you excel others in the means of subsistence, so those who are made to excel do not give away their sustenance to those whom their right hands possess so that they should be equal therein; is it then the favor of Allah which they deny? - Shakir, Habib

اور دیکھو، اللہ نے تم میں سے بعض کو بعض پر رزق میں فضیلت عطا کی ہے پھر جن لوگوں کو یہ فضیلت دی گئی ہے وہ ایسے نہیں ہیں کہ اپنا رزق اپنے غلاموں کی طرف پھیر دیا کرتے ہوں تاکہ دونوں اس رزق میں برابر کے حصہ دار بن جائیں تو کیا اللہ ہی کا احسان ماننے سے اِن لوگوں کو انکار ہے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے تمہاری ہم جنس بیویاں بنائیں اور اسی نے ان بیویوں سے تمہیں بیٹے پوتے عطا کیے اور اچھی اچھی چیزیں تمہیں کھانے کو دیں پھر کیا یہ لوگ (یہ سب کچھ دیکھتے اور جانتے ہوئے بھی) باطل کو مانتے ہیں اور اللہ کے احسان کا انکار کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Allah coineth a similitude: (on the one hand) a (mere) chattel slave, who hath control of nothing, and (on the other hand) one on whom we have bestowed a fair provision from Us, and he spendeth thereof secretly and openly. And Allah hath given you in your houses an abode, and hath given you (also), of the hides of cattle, houses which ye find light (to carry) on the day of migration and on the day of pitching camp; and of their wool and their fur and their hair, caparison and comfort for a while. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is Allah who has made your homes as a place of rest for you and He made for you homes out of the skins of the cattle which you find portable on the day of your shifting and on the day of your halt, and out of their wool, fur and hair [He has appointed] furniture and wares [enduring] for a while. - Qarai, Ali Quli

اللہ نے تمہارے لیے تمہارے گھروں کو جائے سکون بنایا اس نے جانوروں کی کھالوں سے تمہارے لیے ایسے مکان پیدا کیے جنہیں تم سفر اور قیام، دونوں حالتوں میں ہلکا پاتے ہو اُس نے جانوروں کے صوف اور اون اور بالوں سے تمہارے لیے پہننے اور برتنے کی بہت سی چیزیں پیدا کر دیں جو زندگی کی مدت مقررہ تک تمہارے کام آتی ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And Allah hath given you, of that which He hath created, shelter from the sun; and hath given you places of refuge in the mountains, and hath given you coats to ward off the heat from you, and coats (of armour) to save you from your own foolhardiness. Thus doth He perfect His favour unto you, in order that ye may surrender (unto Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is Allah who made for you the shade from what He has created, and made for you retreats in the mountains, and made for you garments that protect you from heat, and garments that protect you from your [mutual] violence. That is how He completes His blessing upon you so that you may submit [to Him]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God has provided shade for you out of what He has created and places of retreat out of mountains. He has given you garments to protect you from the heat and cover your private parts. This is how He perfects His bounties to you so that perhaps you would submit to His will. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Allah has made for you of what He has created shelters, and He has given you in the mountains places of retreat, and He has given you garments to preserve you from the heat and coats of mail to preserve you in your fighting; even thus does He complete His favor upon you, that haply you may submit. - Shakir, Habib

اس نے اپنی پیدا کی ہوئی بہت سی چیزوں سے تمہارے لیے سائے کا انتظام کیا، پہاڑوں میں تمہارے لیے پناہ گاہیں بنائیں، اور تمہیں ایسی پوشاکیں بخشیں جو تمہیں گرمی سے بچاتی ہیں اور کچھ دوسری پوشاکیں جو آپس کی جنگ میں تمہاری حفاظت کرتی ہیں اس طرح وہ تم پر اپنی نعمتوں کی تکمیل کرتا ہے شاید کہ تم فرماں بردار بنو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ نے تمہیں اپنی بنائی ہوئی چیزوں سے سائے دیئے اور تمہارے لیے پہاڑوں میں چھپنے کی جگہ بنائی اور تمہارے لیے کچھ پہنادے بنائے کہ تمہیں گرمی سے بچائیں اور کچھ پہناوے کہ لڑائیں میں تمہاری حفاظت کریں یونہی اپنی نعمت تم پر پوری کرتا ہے کہ تم فرمان مانو - Ahmed Raza

And (bethink you of) the day when we raise up of every nation a witness, then there is no leave for disbelievers, nor are they allowed to make amends. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when those who ascribed partners to Allah behold those partners of theirs, they will say: Our Lord! these are our partners unto whom we used to cry instead of Thee. But they will fling to them the saying: Lo! ye verily are liars! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When the polytheists sight their partners, they will say, [Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides You.] But they will retort to them, [You are indeed liars!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the idolators see their idols, they will say, [Lord, these are the idols whom we worshipped instead of you.] But the idols will say, [They are liars.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when those who associate (others with Allah) shall see their associate-gods, they shall say: Our Lord, these are our associate-gods on whom we called besides Thee. But they will give them back the reply: Most surely you are liars. - Shakir, Habib

When those who associate partners with God see their associate gods, they will say, [Our Lord, these are our associate gods whom we used to call upon instead of You.] But they will throw back their words at them, [saying], [Indeed you are liars,] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب مشرکین اپنے شرکائ کو دیکھیں گے تو کہیں گے پروردگار یہی ہمارے شرکائ تھے جنہیں ہم تجھے چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے تھے پھر وہ شرکائ اس بات کو ان ہی کی طرف پھینک دیں گے کہ تم لوگ بالکل جھوٹے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب وہ لوگ جنہوں نے دنیا میں شرک کیا تھا اپنے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں کو دیکھیں گے تو کہیں گے ——اے پروردگار، یہی ہیں ہمارے وہ شریک جنہیں ہم تجھے چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے تھے—— اس پر اُن کے وہ معبود انہیں صاف جواب دیں گے کہ ——تم جھوٹے ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور شرک کرنے والے جب اپنے شریکوں کو دیکھیں گے کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب! یہ ہیں ہمارے شریک کہ ہم تیرے سوا پوجتے تھے، تو وہ ان پر بات پھینکیں گے کہ تم بیشک جھوٹے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

They will submit to Allah on that day, and what they used to fabricate will forsake them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(On the Day of Judgment) the disbelievers will submit themselves to God and whatever they had falsely invented will disappear. - Sarwar, Muhammad

For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of Allah, We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah—We shall add punishment to their punishment because of the corruption they used to cause. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The disbelievers who had created obstacles in the way leading to God will face manifold torments as a result of their evil deeds. - Sarwar, Muhammad

(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, We will add chastisement to their chastisement because they made mischief. - Shakir, Habib

Upon all who were bent on denying the truth and who turned others away from the path of God, We will heap punishment upon punishment, in return for all the corruption that they brought about. - Wahiduddin Khan

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍۢ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚ وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ تِبْيَٰنًۭا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُدًۭى وَرَحْمَةًۭ وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And (bethink you of) the day when We raise in every nation a witness against them of their own folk, and We bring thee (Muhammad) as a witness against these. And We reveal the Scripture unto thee as an exposition of all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day We raise in every nation a witness against them from among themselves, We shall bring you as a witness against these. We have sent down the Book to you as a clarification of all things and as guidance, mercy and good news for the Muslims. - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when We call a witness against every nation from their own people, We will call you, (Muhammad), as a witness against them all. We have sent you the Book which clarifies all matters. It is a guide, a mercy, and glad news to the Muslims. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And on the day when We will raise up in every people a witness against them from among themselves, and bring you as a witness against these-- and We have revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything, and a guidance and mercy and good news for those who submit. - Shakir, Habib

The Day will come when We raise up in every people a witness against them from amongst themselves, and We will bring you as a witness against these people. (اے محمدؐ، اِنہیں اُس دن سے خبردار کر دو) جب کہ ہم ہر امت میں خود اُسی کے اندر سے ایک گواہ اٹھا کھڑا کریں گے جو اُس کے مقابلے میں شہادت دے گا، اور اِن لوگوں کے مقابلے میں شہادت دینے کے لیے ہم تمہیں لائیں گے اور (یہ اسی شہادت کی تیاری ہے کہ) ہم نے یہ کتاب تم پر نازل کر دی ہے جو ہر چیز کی صاف صاف وضاحت کرنے والی ہے اور ہدایت و رحمت اور بشارت ہے اُن لوگوں کے لیے جنہوں نے سر تسلیم خم کر دیا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have covenanted, and break not your oaths after the asseveration of them, and after ye have made Allah surety over you. Lo! Allah knoweth what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And be not like unto her who unravelleth the thread, after she hath made it strong, to thin filaments, making your oaths a deceit between you because of a nation being more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only trieth you thereby, and He verily will explain to you on the Day of Resurrection that wherein ye differed. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do not be like her who would undo her yarn, breaking it up after [spinning it to] strength, by making your oaths a means of [mutual] deceit among yourselves, so that one community may become more affluent than another community. Indeed Allah tests you thereby, and He will surely clarify for you on the Day of Resurrection what you used to differ about. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do not be like the lady behind the spinning wheel who has broken the yarn by pulling it with unnecessary force. You must not consider your oaths as means of deceit to benefit one party and incur loss upon the other. God tests your faith by your oaths. He will make clear to you who was right and who was wrong on the Day of Judgment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And be not like her who unravels her yarn, disintegrating it into pieces after she has spun it strongly. You make your oaths to be means of deceit between you because (one) nation is more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only tries you by this; and He will most certainly make clear to you on the resurrection day that about which you differed. - Shakir, Habib

Do not, like the woman who unravels her yarn after its strands have been firmly spun, use your oaths as a means of deceiving one another, just because one community could become bigger than another. تمہاری حالت اُس عورت کی سی نہ ہو جائے جس نے آپ ہی محنت سے سوت کاتا اور پھر آپ ہی اسے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالا تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس کے معاملات میں مکر و فریب کا ہتھیار بناتے ہو تاکہ ایک قوم دوسری قوم سے بڑھ کر فائدے حاصل کرے حالاں کہ اللہ اس عہد و پیمان کے ذریعہ سے تم کو آزمائش میں ڈالتا ہے، اور ضرور وہ قیامت کے روز تمہارے تمام اختلافات کی حقیقت تم پر کھول دے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس عورت کی طرح نہ ہو جس نے اپنا سُوت مضبوطی کے بعد ریزہ ریزہ کرکے توڑ دیا اپنی قسمیں آپس میں ایک بے اصل بہانہ بناتے ہو کہ کہیں ایک گروہ دوسرے گروہ سے زیادہ نہ ہو اللہ تو اس سے تمہیں آزماتا ہے اور ضرور تم پر صاف ظاہر کردے گا قیامت کے دن جس بات میں جھگڑتے تھے، - Ahmed Raza
