ثُمَّ

ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

Then afterward Allah will relent toward whom He will; for Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌۭ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةًۭ فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِن شَآءَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌۭ

⦿

O ye who believe! The idolaters only are unclean. So let them not come near the Inviolable Place of Worship after this their year. If ye fear poverty (from the loss of their merchandise) Allah shall preserve you of His bounty if He will. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.

O you who have faith! The polytheists are indeed unclean: so let them not approach the Holy Mosque after this year. Should you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you out of His grace, if He wishes. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-wise.

Believers, the pagans are filthy. Do not let them come near to the Sacred Mosque after this year. If you are afraid of poverty, He will make you rich if He wishes, by His favor. God is All-knowing and All-wise.

اے ایمان لانے والو، مشرکین ناپاک ہیں لہٰذا اس سال کے بعد یہ مسجد حرام کے قریب نہ پھٹکنے پائیں اور اگر تمہیں تنگ دستی کا خوف ہے تو بعید نہیں کہ اللہ چاہے تو تمہیں ا پنے فضل سے غنی کر دے، اللہ علیم و حکیم ہے

اے ایمان والو! مشرک نرے ناپاک ہیں تو اس برس کے بعد وہ مسجد حرام کے پاس نہ آنے پائیں اور اگر تمہاری محتاجی کا ڈر ہے تو عنقریب اللہ تمہیں دولت مند کردے گا اپنے فضل سے اگر چاہے بیشک اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

اے ایمان والو! مشرکین سراسر نجس و ناپاک ہیں سو وہ اس سال (سنہ ہجری) کے بعد مسجد الحرام کے قریب بھی نہ آنے پائیں۔ اور اگر تمہیں ان کی آمد و رفت کے بند ہونے سے تنگدستی کا اندیشہ ہے تو عنقریب خدا اپنے فضل و کرم سے تمہیں تونگر بنا دے گا۔ بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ بڑا جاننے والا، بڑا حکمت والا ہے۔

قَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ ٱلْحَقِّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا۟ ٱلْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍۢ وَهُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ

⦿

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

Fight those who do not have faith in Allah nor [believe] in the Last Day, nor forbid what Allah and His Apostle have forbidden, nor practise the true religion, from among those who were given the Book, until they pay the tribute out of hand, degraded.

Fight against those People of the Book who have no faith in God or the Day of Judgment, who do not consider unlawful what God and His Messenger have made unlawful, and who do not believe in the true religion, until they humbly pay tax with their own hands.

جنگ کرو اہل کتاب میں سے اُن لوگوں کے خلاف جو اللہ اور روز آخر پر ایمان نہیں لاتے اور جو کچھ اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے حرام قرار دیا ہے اسے حرام نہیں کرتے اور دین حق کو اپنا دین نہیں بناتے (ان سے لڑو) یہاں تک کہ وہ اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ دیں اور چھوٹے بن کر رہیں

لڑو ان سے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے اللہ پر اور قیامت پر اور حرام نہیں مانتے اس چیز کو جس کو حرام کیا اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے اور سچے دین کے تابع نہیں ہوتے یعنی وہ جو کتاب دیے گئے جب تک اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ نہ دیں ذلیل ہوکر

(اے مسلمانو!) اہلِ کتاب میں سے جو لوگ اللہ اور روزِ آخرت پر ایمان نہیں رکھتے اور خدا و رسول کی حرام کردہ چیزوں کو حرام نہیں جانتے اور دینِ حق (اسلام) کو اختیار نہیں کرتے ان سے جنگ کرو یہاں تک کہ وہ چھوٹے بن کر (ذلیل ہوکر) ہاتھ سے جزیہ دیں۔

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ قَوْلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

⦿

And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!

The Jews say, [Ezra is the son of Allah,] and the Christians say, [Christ is the son of Allah.] That is an opinion that they mouth, imitating the opinions of the faithless of former times. May Allah assail them, where do they stray?!

Some of the Jews have said that Ezra is the son of God and Christians have said the same of Jesus. This is only what they say and it is similar to what the unbelievers who lived before them had said. May God destroy them wherever they exist!

And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

The Jews say, [Ezra is the son of God,] and the Christians say, [The Messiah is the son of God.] These are but their baseless utterances. They imitate the assertions made in earlier times by those who deny the truth. May God destroy them! How far astray they have been led!

اور یہودیوں کا کہنا ہے کہ عزیر اللہ کے بیٹے ہیں اور نصارٰی کہتے ہیں کہ مسیح اللہ کے بیٹے ہیں یہ سب ان کی زبانی باتیں ہیں-ان باتوں میں یہ بالکل ان کے مثل ہیں جو ان کے پہلے کفار کہا کرتے تھے ,اللہ ان سب کو قتل کرے یہ کہاں بہکے چلے جارہے ہیں

یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے، اور عیسائی کہتے ہیں کہ مسیح اللہ کا بیٹا ہے یہ بے حقیقت باتیں ہیں جو وہ اپنی زبانوں سے نکالتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کی دیکھا دیکھی جو ان سے پہلے کفر میں مبتلا ہوئے تھے خدا کی مار اِن پر، یہ کہاں سے دھوکہ کھار ہے ہیں

اور یہودی بولے عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے اور نصرانی بولے مسیح اللہ کا بیٹا ہے، یہ باتیں وہ اپنے منہ سے بکتے ہیں اگلے کافرو ں کی سی بات بناتے ہیں، اللہ انہیں مارے، کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہیں

یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے اور نصرانی کہتے ہیں کہ عیسیٰ اللہ کے بیٹے ہیں۔ یہ ان کی باتیں ہیں (بغیر سوچے سمجھے) ان کے منہ سے نکالی ہوئی۔ یہ لوگ بھی ان جیسی باتیں کرنے لگے ہیں جو ان سے پہلے کفر کر چکے ہیں اللہ ان کو ہلاک کرے یہ کدھر بہکے جا رہے ہیں۔

ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَٰنَهُمْ أَرْبَابًۭا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَٰهًۭا وَٰحِدًۭا ۖ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

⦿

They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!

They have taken their scribes and their monks as lords besides Allah, and also Christ, Mary]s son; though they were commanded to worship only the One God, there is no god except Him; He is far too immaculate to have any partners that they ascribe [to Him]!

They (unconditionally) obeyed the rabbis and the monks and worshipped the Messiah, son of Mary, as they should have obeyed God. They were commanded to worship no one besides God who is the only God and who is too exalted to be considered equal to any idols.

They have taken their doctors of law and their monks for lords besides Allah, and (also) the Messiah son of Marium and they were enjoined that they should serve one Allah only, there is no god but He; far from His glory be what they set up (with Him).

They have taken their learned men and their monks for their lords besides God. So have they taken the Messiah, son of Mary, although they were commanded to worship only the One God. There is no deity but He. He is far above whatever they set up as His partners!

ان لوگوں نے اپنے عالموں اور راہبوں اور مسیح بن مریم کو خدا کو چھوڑ کر اپنا رب بنالیا ہے حالانکہ انہیں صرف خدائے یکتا کی عبادت کا حکم دیا گیا تھا جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے وہ واحد و بے نیاز ہے اور ان کے مشرکانہ خیالات سے پاک و پاکیزہ ہے

انہوں نے اپنے علماء اور درویشوں کو اللہ کے سوا اپنا رب بنا لیا ہے اور اسی طرح مسیح ابن مریم کو بھی حالانکہ ان کو ایک معبود کے سوا کسی کی بندگی کرنے کا حکم نہیں دیا گیا تھا، وہ جس کے سوا کوئی مستحق عبادت نہیں، پاک ہے وہ ان مشرکانہ باتوں سے جو یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں

انہوں نے اپنے پادریوں اور جوگیوں کو اللہ کے سوا خدا بنالیا اور مسیح بن مریم کو اور انہیں حکم نہ تھا مگر یہ کہ ایک اللہ کو پوجیں اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں، اسے پاکی ہے ان کے شرک سے،

انہوں نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اپنے عالموں اور راہبوں (علماء و مشائخ) کو پروردگار بنا لیا ہے، اور مریم کے فرزند مسیح کو بھی۔ حالانکہ ان کو صرف یہ حکم دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ ایک ہی معبودِ برحق کی عبادت کریں۔ اللہ کے سوا اور کوئی الٰہ نہیں ہے۔ وہ پاک ہے ان مشرکانہ باتوں سے جو یہ کرتے ہیں۔

ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

⦿

Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall perfect His light, however much the disbelievers are averse.

He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion, however much the idolaters may be averse.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَحْبَارِ وَٱلرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَٰلَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ ٱلذَّهَبَ وَٱلْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَهَا فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ

⦿

O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom,

O you who have faith! Indeed many of the scribes and monks wrongfully eat up the people]s wealth, and bar [them] from the way of Allah. Those who treasure up gold and silver, and do not spend it in the way of Allah, inform them of a painful punishment

Believers, many rabbis and monks consume other people's property by false means and create obstacles in the way of God. Those who horde gold and silver and do not spend (anything out of it) for the cause of God, should know that their recompense will be a painful torment

O you who believe! most surely many of the doctors of law and the monks eat away the property of men falsely, and turn (them) from Allah's way; and (as for) those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah's way, announce to them a painful chastisement,

يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖ هَٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ

On the day when it will (all) be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their flanks and their backs will be branded therewith (and it will be said unto them): Here is that which ye hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what ye used to hoard.

ایک دن آئے گا کہ اسی سونے چاندی پر جہنم کی آگ دہکائی جائے گی اور پھر اسی سے ان لوگوں کی پیشانیوں اور پہلوؤں اور پیٹھوں کو داغا جائے گا یہ ہے وہ خزانہ جو تم نے اپنے لیے جمع کیا تھا، لو اب اپنی سمیٹی ہوئی دولت کا مزہ چکھو

جس دن تپایا جائے گا جہنم کی آ گ میں پھر اس سے داغیں گے ان کی پیشانیاں اور کروٹیں اور پیٹھیں یہ ہے وہ جو تم نے اپنے لیے جوڑ کر رکھا تھا اب چکھو مزا اس جوڑنے کا،

إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًۭا فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةًۭ كَمَا يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةًۭ ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Lo! the number of the months with Allah is twelve months by Allah's ordinance in the day that He created the heavens and the earth. Four of them are sacred: that is the right religion. So wrong not yourselves in them. And wage war on all of the idolaters as they are waging war on all of you. And know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

So do not wrong yourselves during them. Fight all the polytheists, just as they fight you all, and know that Allah is with the Godwary.

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ مہینوں کی تعداد جب سے اللہ نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اللہ کے نوشتے میں بارہ ہی ہے، اور ان میں سے چار مہینے حرام ہیں یہی ٹھیک ضابطہ ہے لہٰذا ان چار مہینوں میں اپنے اوپر ظلم نہ کرو اور مشرکوں سے سب مل کر لڑو جس طرح وہ سب مل کر تم سے لڑتے ہیں اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ متقیوں ہی کے ساتھ ہے

بیشک مہینوں کی گنتی اللہ کے نزدیک بارہ مہینے ہے اللہ کی کتاب میں جب سے اس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائے ان میں سے چار حرمت والے ہیں یہ سیدھا دین ہے، تو ان مہینوں میں اپنی جان پر ظلم نہ کرو اور مشرکوں سے ہر وقت لڑو جیسا وہ تم سے ہر وقت لڑتے ہیں، اور جان لو کہ اللہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے

إِنَّمَا ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ زِيَادَةٌۭ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ ۖ يُضَلُّ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُحِلُّونَهُۥ عَامًۭا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥ عَامًۭا لِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟ عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا۟ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ أَعْمَٰلِهِمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Postponement (of a sacred month) is only an excess of disbelief whereby those who disbelieve are misled; they allow it one year and forbid it (another) year, that they may make up the number of the months which Allah hath hallowed, so that they allow that which Allah hath forbidden. The evil of their deeds is made fairseeming unto them. Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk.

To disregard the observation of the sacred months and to observe it during the non-sacred months is to add more to one's disbelief. This causes the unbelievers to go further astray. One year they (the pagans) consider a sacred month not sacred, (and observe it during a non-sacred month) but the next year they consider it sacred at the right time. By dealing with the sacred months in such a manner, they think that they have observed the laws of God, but, in fact, they have changed them. Their evil deeds seem attractive to them but God does not guide the unbelieving people.

نسی تو کفر میں ایک مزید کافرانہ حرکت ہے جس سے یہ کافر لوگ گمراہی میں مبتلا کیے جاتے ہیں کسی سال ایک مہینے کو حلال کر لیتے ہیں اور کسی سال اُس کو حرام کر دیتے ہیں، تاکہ اللہ کے حرام کیے ہوئے مہینوں کی تعداد پوری بھی کر دیں اور اللہ کا حرام کیا ہوا حلال بھی کر لیں ان کے برے اعمال ان کے لیے خوشنما بنا دیے گئے ہیں اور اللہ منکرین حق کو ہدایت نہیں دیا کرتا

سوا اس کے نہیں ہے کہ نسیئی (حرمت والے مہینوں کو مؤخر کرنا) کفر میں زیادتی کا موجب ہے۔ اس سے وہ لوگ گمراہ کئے جاتے ہیں جو کافر ہیں۔ وہ اسے ایک سال حلال قرار دیتے ہیں اور اسی کو دوسرے سال حرام قرار دیتے ہیں تاکہ ان مہینوں کی گنتی پوری کریں جنہیں اللہ نے حرام کیا ہے تاکہ اس (حیلے) سے اللہ کی حرام کردہ کو اپنے لئے حلال قرار دیں۔ ان کے برے اعمال ان کے لئے آراستہ کر دیے گئے ہیں اور اللہ کافروں کو منزلِ مقصود تک نہیں پہنچاتا۔

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
