وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالُوا۟ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَآ ۙ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when Our revelations are recited unto them they say: We have heard. If we wish we can speak the like of this. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Our signs are recited to them, they say, [We have heard already. If we want, we [too] can say like this. These are nothing but myths of the ancients.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Our revelations are recited to them (the unbelievers), they say, [We have heard them. Had we wanted, we could also have composed such statements; they are no more than ancient legends.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

جب ان کو ہماری آیات سنائی جاتی تھیں تو کہتے تھے کہ “ہاں سُن لیا ہم نے، ہم چاہیں تو ایسی ہی باتیں ہم بھی بنا سکتے ہیں، یہ تو وہی پُرانی کہانیاں ہیں جو پہلے سے لوگ کہتے چلے آ رہے ہیں —— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَإِذْ قَالُوا۟ ٱللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ ٱلْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَوِ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when they said: O Allah! If this be indeed the truth from Thee, then rain down stones on us or bring on us some painful doom! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when they said, [O Allah, if this be the truth from You, rain down upon us stones from the sky, or bring us a painful punishment.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They also say, [Lord, if this (Quran) is the Truth from you, shower down stones on us from the sky instead of rain or send us a painful punishment]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when they said: O Allah! if this is the truth from Thee, then rain upon us stones from heaven or inflict on us a painful punishment. - Shakir, Habib

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب انہوں نے کہا کہ خدایا اگر یہ تیری طرف سے حق ہے تو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھر برسادے یا عذاب الیم نازل کردے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور وہ بات بھی یاد ہے جو اُنہوں نے کہی تھی کہ “خدایا اگر یہ واقعی حق ہے اور تیری طرف سے ہے تو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھر برسا دے یا کوئی درد ناک عذاب ہم پر لے آ—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب بولے کہ اے اللہ اگر یہی (قرآن) تیری طرف سے حق ہے تو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھر برسا یا کوئی دردناک عذاب ہم پر لا، - Ahmed Raza

But Allah would not punish them while thou wast with them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اُس وقت تو اللہ ان پر عذاب نازل کرنے والا نہ تھا جبکہ تو ان کے درمیان موجود تھا اور نہ اللہ کا یہ قاعدہ ہے کہ لوگ استغفار کر رہے ہوں اور وہ ان کو عذاب دیدے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

What (plea) have they that Allah should not punish them, when they debar (His servants) from the Inviolable Place of Worship, though they are not its fitting guardians. Its fitting guardians are those only who keep their duty to Allah. But most of them know not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

What [excuse] have they that Allah should not punish them, when they bar [the faithful] from the Holy Mosque, and they are not its custodians? Its custodians are only the Godwary, but most of them do not know. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Why should God not punish them when they hinder people from entering the sacred mosque? They are not its true patrons. Only the righteous ones are its patrons, but most of the pagans do not know. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And what (excuse) have they that Allah should not chastise them while they hinder (men) from the Sacred Mosque and they are not (fit to be) guardians of it; its guardians are only those who guard (against evil), but most of them do not know. - Shakir, Habib

اور ان کے لئے کون سی بات ہے کہ خدا ان پر عذاب نہ کرے جب کہ یہ لوگوں کو مسجد الحرام سے روکتے ہیں اور اس کے متولی بھی نہیں ہیں -اس کے ولی صرف متقی اور پرہیزگار افراد ہیں لیکن ان کی اکثریت اس سے بھی بے خبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

لیکن اب کیوں نہ وہ ان پر عذاب نازل کرے جبکہ وہ مسجد حرام کا راستہ روک رہے ہیں، حالانکہ وہ اس مسجد کے جائز متولی نہیں ہیں اس کے جائز متولی تو صرف اہلِ تقویٰ ہی ہو سکتے ہیں مگر اکثر لوگ اس بات کو نہیں جانتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور انہیں کیا ہے کہ اللہ انہیں عذاب نہ کرے وہ تو مسجد حرام سے روک رہے ہیں اور وہ اس کے اہل نہیں اس کے اولیاء تو پرہیزگار ہی ہیں مگر ان میں اکثر کو علم نہیں، - Ahmed Raza

And their worship at the (holy) House is naught but whistling and hand-clapping. Therefore (it is said unto them): Taste of the doom because ye disbelieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Their prayer at the House is nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment because of what you used to defy. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Their (unbelievers) prayer at the mosque is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands. We shall tell them, [Suffer torment for your disbelief.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And their prayer before the House is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands; taste then the chastisement, for you disbelieved. - Shakir, Habib

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةًۭ ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order that they may debar (men) from the way of Allah. They will spend it, then it will become an anguish for them, then they will be conquered. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed the faithless spend their wealth to bar from the way of Allah. Soon they will have spent it, then it will be a cause of regret to them, then they will be overcome, and the faithless will be gathered toward Hell, - Qarai, Ali Quli

The disbelievers spend their wealth to turn men away from the way of God. They will continue to spend but it will become a source of regret for them and they will be defeated (because of their evil plans). The disbelievers will be gathered all togdher in Hell. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Surely those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (people) from the way of Allah; so they shall spend it, then it shall be to them an intense regret, then they shall be overcome; and those who disbelieve shall be driven together to hell. - Shakir, Habib

Those who are bent on denying the truth are spending their wealth in debarring others from the path of God. They will continue to spend it in this way till, in the end, this spending will become a source of intense regret for them, and then they will be overcome. جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا یہ اپنے اموال کو صرف اس لئے خرچ کرتے ہیں کہ لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکیں تو یہ خرچ بھی کریں گے اور اس کے بعدیہ بات ان کے لئے حسرت بھی بنے گی اور آخر میں مغلوب بھی ہوجائیں گے اور جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا یہ سب جہّنم کی طرف لے جائے جائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

That Allah may separate the wicked from the good, The wicked will He place piece upon piece, and heap them all together, and consign them unto hell. Such verily are the losers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

so that Allah may separate the bad ones from the good, and place the bad on one another, and pile them up together, and cast them into hell. It is they who are the losers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُۥ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ ٱلْتَقَى ٱلْجَمْعَانِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war, lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the messenger and for the kinsman (who hath need) and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination, the day when the two armies met. Know that whatever thing you may come by, a fifth of it is for Allah and the Apostle, for the relatives and the orphans, for the needy and the traveller, if you have faith in Allah and what We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Separation, the day when the two hosts met; and Allah has power over all things. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Know that whatever property you may gain, one fifth belongs to God, the Messenger, the kindred, orphans, the needy and those who need money while on a journey. (This is the law) if you believe in God and what We revealed to Our Servant on the Day of Distinction (Badr) when the armies confronted each other. God has power over all things. - Sarwar, Muhammad
