يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you of
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
are convinced!
أَطِيعُوا۟
Obey
ٱللَّهَ
the One
وَرَسُولَهُۥ
and His messenger
وَلَا
and do not
تَوَلَّوْا۟
turn away
عَنْهُ
from Him
وَأَنتُمْ
while it be that
تَسْمَعُونَ
you are of hearing.

٢٠
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
O you of the ones who are convinced! Obey the One and His messenger and do not turn away from Him while it be that you are of hearing.

O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak).

And do not
تَكُونُوا۟

like the ones who

[We hear.]
وَهُمْ
while they
لَا
not
يَسْمَعُونَ
are of hearing.

وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
And do not become like the ones who said, [We hear.] while they not are of hearing.

Be not as those who say, we hear, and they hear not.

إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Indeed worst of the creatures near the One are the deaf the dumb, those who not use their intellect.

Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the deaf, the dumb, who have no sense.

وَلَوْ
but had it been that
أَسْمَعَهُمْ
would've made them hear
لَتَوَلَّوا۟
they would've turned away
وَّهُم
while them
مُّعْرِضُونَ
being apologetic.

٢٣
وَلَوْ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًۭا لَّأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ أَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوا۟ وَّهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ
And if had known the One in them goodness, would've made for them to hear; but had it been that would've made them hear they would've turned away while them being apologetic.

Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse.

Had Allah known any good in them, He would have surely made them hear, and were He to make them hear, surely they would turn away, being disregardful.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
