ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ ٱلسَّيِّئَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّىٰ عَفَوا۟ وَّقَالُوا۟ قَدْ مَسَّ ءَابَآءَنَا ٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَٱلسَّرَّآءُ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then changed We the evil plight for good till they grew affluent and said: Tribulation and distress did touch our fathers. Then We seized them unawares, when they perceived not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then We changed the ill [conditions] to good until they multiplied [in numbers] and said, [Adversity and ease befell our fathers [too].] Then We seized them suddenly while they were unaware. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We then replaced their misfortune with well-being until they were relieved and began saying, [Our fathers had also experienced good and bad days.] Suddenly, We struck them (with torment) while they were all unaware (of what was happening). - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبُوا۟ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But (unto every messenger) they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور کیا اُن لوگوں کو جو سابق اہل زمین کے بعد زمین کے وارث ہوتے ہیں، اِس امر واقعی نے کچھ سبق نہیں دیا کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کے قصوروں پر انہیں پکڑ سکتے ہیں؟ (مگر وہ سبق آموز حقائق سے تغافل برتتے ہیں) اور ہم ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتے ہیں، پھر وہ کچھ نہیں سنتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟

بِمَا

كَذَّبُوا۟

مِن

قَبْلُ

ۚ

كَذَٰلِكَ

يَطْبَعُ
[untranslated]
ٱللَّهُ
[untranslated]
عَلَىٰ
[untranslated]
قُلُوبِ
[untranslated]
ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
[untranslated]
٧
١٠١
تِلْكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآئِهَا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

These are the towns some of whose accounts We recount to you. Their apostles certainly brought them manifest proofs, but they were not the ones to believe in what they had denied earlier. Thus does Allah put a seal on the hearts of the faithless. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), such were the stories of the people who lived in (different) towns in the past. We had sent Our Messengers to them with (certain) miracles but the people still did not believe in what they had rejected before. Such is how God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers - Shakir, Habib

یہ وہ بستیاں ہیں جن کی خبریں ہم آپ سے بیان کررہے ہیں کہ ہمارے پیغمبران کے پاس معجزات لے کر آئے مگر پہلے سے تکذیب کرنے کی بنا پر یہ ایمان نہ لاسکے .ہم اسی طرح کافروں کے دلوں پر مہر لگادیا کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ قومیں جن کے قصے ہم تمہیں سنا رہے ہیں (تمہارے سامنے مثال میں موجود ہیں) ان کے رسول ان کے پا س کھلی کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے، مگر جس چیز کو وہ ایک دفعہ جھٹلا چکے تھے پھر اُسے وہ ماننے والے نہ تھے دیکھو اس طرح ہم منکرین حق کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ بستیاں ہیں جن کے احوال ہم تمہیں سناتے ہیں اور بیشک ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے تو وہ اس قابل نہ ہوئے کہ وہ اس پر ایمان لاتے جسے پہلے جھٹلاچکے تھے اللہ یونہی چھاپ لگادیتا ہے کا فروں کے دلوں پر - Ahmed Raza

أَكْثَرَهُمْ

لَفَٰسِقِينَ

We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not find in most of them any [loyalty to] covenants. Indeed, We found most of them to be transgressors. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We did not find in most of them any (faithfulness to) covenant, and We found most of them to be certainly transgressors. - Shakir, Habib

ہم نے ان کی اکثریت میں عہدو پیمان کی پاسداری نہیں پائی اور ان کی اکثریت کو فاسق اور حدود اطاعت سے خارج ہی پایا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Then
بَعَثْنَا
We induced
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِهِم
after them
مُّوسَىٰ
Moosa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
with Our signs
إِلَىٰ
towards
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun
وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
and his clerics
فَظَلَمُوا۟
thus they were unfair
بِهَا
regarding it;
ۖ
فَٱنظُرْ
thus consider
كَيْفَ
how
كَانَ
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
end of
ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
the corrupt ones.
٧
١٠٣
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَظَلَمُوا۟ بِهَا ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ Then We induced from after them Moosa with Our signs towards Fir'oun and his clerics thus they were unfair regarding it; thus consider how was end of the corrupt ones.

Then, after them, We sent Moses with our tokens unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they repelled them. Now, see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his elite, but they wronged them. So observe how was the fate of the agents of corruption! - Qarai, Ali Quli

After the time of those people, We sent Moses with Our miracles to Pharaoh and his people, but they too rejected Our miracles. Consider, how terrible the end of the evil-doers is! - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then we raised after them Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, but they disbelieved in them; consider then what was the end of the mischief makers. - Shakir, Habib

After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر ان سب کے بعد ہم نے موسٰی علیھ السّلامکو اپنی نشانیاں دے کر فرعون اور اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو ان لوگوں نے بھی ظلم کیا تو اب دیکھو کہ فساد کرنے والوں کا انجام کیا ہوتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اُن قوموں کے بعد (جن کا ذکر اوپر کیا گیا) ہم نے موسیٰؑ کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ فرعون اور اس کی قوم کے سرداروں کے پاس بھیجا مگر انہوں نے بھی ہماری نشانیوں کے ساتھ ظلم کیا، پس دیکھو کہ ان مفسدوں کا کیا انجام ہوا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں کی طرف بھیجا تو انہوں نے ان نشانیوں پر زیادتی کی تو دیکھو کیسا انجام ہوا مفسدوں کا، - Ahmed Raza

پھر ہم نے ان (نبیوں) کے بعد موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں (معجزے) دے کر فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کی طرف بھیجا۔ مگر انہوں نے ان (نشانیوں) کے ساتھ ظلم کیا (انکار کر دیا) دیکھو مفسدین کا کیا برا انجام ہوا؟ - Najafi, Muhammad

And said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa,
يَٰفِرْعَوْنُ
[O Fir'oun!
إِنِّى
I am
رَسُولٌۭ
a messenger
مِّن
from
رَّبِّ
Rabb of
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.]
And said Moosa, [O Fir'oun! I am a messenger from Rabb of all the states of being.]
⦿
Moses said: O Pharaoh! Lo! I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And Moses said, [O Pharaoh, I am indeed an apostle from the Lord of all the worlds. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Moses told the Pharaoh, [I am a Messengers from the Lord of the Universe. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa said: O Firon! surely I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds: - Shakir, Habib

Moses said, [Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the Universe, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور موسٰی علیھ السّلامنے فرعون سے کہا کہ میں رب العالمین کی طرف سے فرستادہ پیغمبر ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

موسیٰؑ نے کہا ——اے فرعون، میں کائنات کے مالک کی طرف سے بھیجا ہوا آیا ہو ں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Approved upon condition that I speak concerning Allah nothing but the truth. I come unto you (lords of Egypt) with a clear proof from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

میرا منصب یہی ہے کہ اللہ کا نام لے کر کوئی بات حق کے سوا نہ کہوں، میں تم لوگوں کے پاس تمہارے رب کی طرف سے صریح دلیل ماموریت لے کر آیا ہوں، لہٰذا تو بنی اسرائیل کو میرے ساتھ بھیج دے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

مجھے سزاوار ہے کہ اللہ پر نہ کہوں مگر سچی بات میں تم سب کے پاس تمہارے رب کی طرف سے نشانی لےکر آیا ہوں تو بنی اسرائیل کو میرے ساتھ چھوڑ دے - Ahmed Raza
