كَانُوا۟

يَعْمَلُونَ

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآءِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ ۚ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
Those who deny Our revelations and the meeting of the Hereafter, their works are fruitless. Are they requited aught save what they used to do? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who deny Our signs and the encounter of the Hereafter, their works have failed. Shall they not be requited for what they used to do? - Qarai, Ali Quli

The deeds of those who have called Our revelations and belief in the Day of Judgment mere lies, will be turned devoid of all virtue. Can they expect to receive a reward for their deeds other than that which is the result of their deeds? - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as to) those who reject Our communications and the meeting of the hereafter, their deeds are null. Shall they be rewarded except for what they have done? - Shakir, Habib

اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری نشانیوں اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلایا ہے ان کے اعمال برباد ہیں اور ظاہر ہے کہ انھیں ویساہی بدلہ تو دیا جائے گا جیسے اعمال کررہے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وَٱتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًۭا جَسَدًۭا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌ ۚ أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلًا ۘ ٱتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way? They chose it, and became wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The people of Moses took up in his absence a calf [cast] from their ornaments—a body that gave out a lowing sound. Did they not regard that it did not speak to them, nor did it guide them to any way? They took it up [for worship] and they were wrongdoers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

In Moses' absence, his people manufactured a hollow sounding calf out of their ornaments. Could they not see that it could not speak to them or provide them with any guidance? They gained only evil by worshipping the calf. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa's people made of their ornaments a calf after him, a (mere) body, which gave a mooing sound. What! could they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them in the way? They took it (for worship) and they were unjust. - Shakir, Habib

اور موسٰی علیھ السّلامکی قوم نے ان کے بعد اپنے زیورات سے گوسالہ کا مجسمہ بنایا جس میں آواز بھی تھی کیاان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ وہ نہ بات کرنے کے لائق ہے اور نہ کوئی راستہ دکھا سکتا ہے انہوں نے اسے خدا بنالیا اور وہ لوگ واقعاظلم کرنے والے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

موسیٰؑ کے پیچھے اس کی قوم کے لوگوں نے اپنے زیوروں سے ایک بچھڑے کا پتلا بنا لیا جس میں سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی کیا اُنہیں نظر نہ آتا تھا کہ وہ نہ ان سے بولتا ہے نہ کسی معاملہ میں ان کی رہنمائی کرتا ہے؟ مگر پھر بھی اُنہوں نے اسے معبود بنا لیا اور وہ سخت ظالم تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور موسیٰ کے بعد اس کی قوم اپنے زیوروں سے ایک بچھڑا بنا بیٹھی بے جان کا دھڑ گائے کی طرف آواز کرتا، کیا نہ دیکھا کہ وہ ان سے نہ بات کرتا ہے اور نہ انہیں کچھ راہ بتائے اسے لیا اور وہ ظالم تھے - Ahmed Raza

اور موسیٰ کی قوم نے ان کے (کوہِ طور پر چلے جانے کے) بعد اپنے زیوروں سے (ان کو گلا کر) ایک بچھڑے کا پتلا بنا لیا جس سے بیل کی سی آواز نکلتی تھی۔ کیا انہوں نے اتنا بھی نہ دیکھا (نہ سوچا) کہ وہ نہ ان سے بات کرتا ہے اور نہ ہی کسی طرح کی راہنمائی کر سکتا ہے پھر بھی انہوں نے اسے (معبود) بنا لیا اور وہ (اپنے اوپر) سخت ظلم کرنے والے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِىٓ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَرَأَوْا۟ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when they feared the consequences thereof and saw that they had gone astray, they said: Unless our Lord have mercy on us and forgive us, we verily are of the lost. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But when they became remorseful and realised they had gone astray, they said, [Should our Lord have no mercy on us, and forgive us, we will be surely among the losers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When they found that they had believed in the wrong thing, they regretfully said, [If our Lord will not have mercy on us and forgive us, we will certainly be lost.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when they repented and saw that they had gone astray, they said: If our Lord show not mercy to us and forgive us we shall certainly be of the losers. - Shakir, Habib

When they were afflicted with remorse, and realized that they had indeed gone astray, they said, [If our Lord does not have mercy on us and forgive us, we shall be among the lost.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب وہ پچھتائے اور انہوں نے دیکھ لیا کہ وہ بہک گئے ہیں تو کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہمارا پروردگار ہمارے او پر رحم نہ کرے گا اور ہمیں معاف نہ کرے گا تو ہم خسارہ والوں میں شامل ہوجائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب ان کی فریب خوردگی کا طلسم ٹوٹ گیا او ر اُنہوں نے دیکھ لیا کہ در حقیقت وہ گمراہ ہو گئے ہیں تو کہنے لگے کہ ——اگر ہمارے رب نے ہم پر رحم نہ فرمایا اور ہم سے درگزر نہ کیا تو ہم برباد ہو جائیں گے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب پچھتائے اور سمجھے کہ ہم بہکے بولے اگر ہمارا رب ہم پر مہر ہ کرے اور ہمیں نہ بخشے تو ہم تباہ ہوئے، - Ahmed Raza

پھر جب وہ نادم ہوئے اور کفِ افسوس مَلنے لگے اور محسوس کیا کہ وہ گمراہ ہوگئے ہیں۔ تو کہنے لگے کہ ہمارے پروردگار نے ہم پر رحم نہ کیا اور ہمیں نہ بخشا تو ہم نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ غَضْبَٰنَ أَسِفًۭا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا خَلَفْتُمُونِى مِنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ أَعَجِلْتُمْ أَمْرَ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ وَأَلْقَى ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيهِ يَجُرُّهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِ ۚ قَالَ ٱبْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱسْتَضْعَفُونِى وَكَادُوا۟ يَقْتُلُونَنِى فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِىَ ٱلْأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِى مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when Moses returned unto his people, angry and grieved, he said: Evil is that (course) which ye took after I had left you. Would ye hasten on the judgment of your Lord? And he cast down the tablets, and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him toward him. He said: Son of my mother! Lo! the folk did judge me weak and almost killed me. Oh, make not mine enemies to triumph over me and place me not among the evil-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Moses returned to his people, angry and indignant, he said, [Evil has been your conduct in my absence! Would you hasten on the edict of your Lord?] He threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head, pulling him towards himself. He said, [Son of my mother, indeed this people thought me to be weak, and they were about to kill me. So do not let the enemies gloat over me, and do not take me with the wrongdoing lot.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Moses returned to his people with anger and sorrow, he said, [What you have done in my absence is certainly evil. Why were you hasty about the commandments of your Lord?] He threw away the Tablets (which contained the commandments of God), grabbed his brother and started to pull him to himself. His brother begged him saying, [Son of my mother, the people suppressed me and almost killed me. Do not humiliate me before the enemies or call me unjust]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Musa returned to his people, wrathful (and) in violent grief, he said: Evil is it that you have done after me; did you turn away from the bidding of your Lord? And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head, dragging him towards him. He said: Son of my mother! surely the people reckoned me weak and had well-nigh slain me, therefore make not the enemies to rejoice over me and count me not among the unjust people. - Shakir, Habib

When Moses returned to his people in anger and great sorrow, he said, [What an awful sin you have committed in my absence. Did you want to hasten your Lord's command?] He threw down the Tablets and seized his brother by the head, pulling him towards himself. Aaron said, [Son of my mother, the people oppressed me and almost killed me. Do not give my enemies cause to gloat over me. Do not number me among the wrongdoers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اورجب موسٰی علیھ السّلاماپنی قوم کی طرف واپس آئے تو غیظ و غضب کے عالم میں کہنے لگے کہ تم نے میرے بعد بہت بفِی حرکت کی ہے -تم نے حکم خدا کے آنے میں کس قدر عجلت سے کام لیا ہے اور پھر انہوں نے توریت کی تختیوں کو ڈال دیا اور اپنے بھائی کا سرپکڑ کر کھینچنے لگے -ہارون علیھ السّلامنے کہا بھائی قوم نے مجھے کمزور بنادیا تھا اور قریب تھاکہ مجھے قتل کردیتے تو میں کیا کرتا -آپ دشمنوں کو طعنہ کا موقع نہ دیجئے اور میرا شمار ظالمین کے ساتھ نہ کیجئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ادھر سے موسیٰؑ غصے اور رنج میں بھرا ہوا اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹا آتے ہی اس نے کہا ——بہت بری جانشینی کی تم لوگوں نے میرے بعد! کیا تم سے اتنا صبر نہ ہوا کہ اپنے رب کے حکم کا انتظار کر لیتے؟—— اور تختیاں پھینک دیں اور اپنے بھا ئی (ہارونؑ) کے سر کے بال پکڑ کر اسے کھینچا ہارونؑ نے کہا ——اے میری ماں کے بیٹے، اِن لوگوں نے مجھے دبا لیا اور قریب تھا کہ مجھے مار ڈالتے پس تو دشمنوں کو مجھ پر ہنسنے کا موقع نہ دے اور اس ظالم گروہ کے ساتھ مجھے نہ شامل کر—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب موسیٰ اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹا غصہ میں بھرا جھنجلایا ہوا کہا تم نے کیا بری میری جانشینی کی میرے بعد کیا تم نے اپنے رب کے حکم سے جلدی کی اور تختیاں ڈال دیں اور اپنے بھائی کے سر کے بال پکڑ کر اپنی طرف کھینچنے لگا کہا اے میرے ماں جائے قوم نے مجھے کمزور سمجھا اور قریب تھا کہ مجھے مار ڈالیں تو مجھ پر دشمنوں کو نہ ہنسا اور مجھے ظالموں میں نہ ملا - Ahmed Raza

اور جب موسیٰ خشمناک اور افسوس کرتے ہوئے اپنی قوم کے پاس واپس آئے۔ تو فرمایا: اے قوم! تم نے میرے بعد بہت ہی بری جانشینی کی۔ کیا تم نے اپنے پروردگار کا حکم آنے سے پہلے جلد بازی کر لی (وعدہ خداوندی چالیس راتوں کے پورا ہونے کی انتظار بھی نہ کی) اور پھر (للہی جوش میں آخر تورات کی) تختیاں (ہاتھ سے) پھینک دیں اور اپنے بھائی (ہارون) کا سر ہاتھ میں لے کر اپنی طرف کھینچنے لگے۔ انہوں نے کہا اے میرے ماں جائے! قوم نے مجھے کمزور اور بے بس کر دیا تھا اور قریب تھا کہ مجھے قتل کر ڈالیں پس تم مجھ پر دشمنوں کو ہنسنے کا موقع نہ دو۔ اور نہ ہی مجھے ظالم گروہ کے ساتھ شامل کرو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ ٱلْعِجْلَ سَيَنَالُهُمْ غَضَبٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَذِلَّةٌۭ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُفْتَرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Lo! Those who chose the calf (for worship), terror from their Lord and humiliation will come upon them in the life of the world. Thus do We requite those who invent a lie. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed those who took up the calf [for worship] shall be overtaken by their Lord]s wrath and abasement in the life of the world.] Thus do We requite the fabricators [of lies]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(The Lord said), [Those who worshipped the calf will be afflicted by the wrath of their Lord and disgraced in their worldly life. Thus, We will recompense those who invent falsehood. - Sarwar, Muhammad

(As for) those who took the calf (for a god), surely wrath from their Lord and disgrace in this world's life shall overtake them, and thus do We recompense the devisers of lies. - Shakir, Habib

Then, when the anger of Moses abated, he took up the tablets, and in their inscription there was guidance and mercy for all those who fear their Lord. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَٱخْتَارَ مُوسَىٰ قَوْمَهُۥ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلًۭا لِّمِيقَٰتِنَا ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلرَّجْفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوْ شِئْتَ أَهْلَكْتَهُم مِّن قَبْلُ وَإِيَّٰىَ ۖ أَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا فِتْنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَهْدِى مَن تَشَآءُ ۖ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا ۖ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْغَٰفِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And Moses chose of his people seventy men for Our appointed tryst and, when the trembling came on them, he said: My Lord! If Thou hadst willed Thou hadst destroyed them long before, and me with them. Wilt thou destroy us for that which the ignorant among us did? It is but Thy trial (of us). Thou sendest whom Thou wilt astray and guidest whom Thou wilt: Thou art our Protecting Friend, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, Thou, the Best of all who show forgiveness. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Moses chose seventy men from his people for Our tryst, and when the earthquake seized them, he said, [My Lord, had You wished, You would have destroyed them and me before. Will You destroy us because of what the fools amongst us have done? It is only Your test, by which You lead astray whomever You wish and guide whomever You wish. You are our master, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of those who forgive. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses selected seventy men from his people to attend Our appointment. (In Our presence). When an earthquake jolted them to death, Moses said, [Lord, had You wanted to destroy them, why did You not destroy them and me before. Are You destroying us for what the fools among us have done? This (destruction) is only a trial through which You cause some to go astray and guide others. You are our Guardian. Forgive us and have mercy on us; You are the best of those who forgive. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa chose out of his people seventy men for Our appointment; so when the earthquake overtook them, he said: My Lord! if Thou hadst pleased, Thou hadst destroyed them before and myself (too); wilt Thou destroy us for what the fools among us have done? It is naught but Thy trial, Thou makest err with it whom Thou pleasest and guidest whom Thou pleasest: Thou art our Guardian, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the forgivers. - Shakir, Habib

If it had been Your will, You could have destroyed both them and me long ago. But would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? This is no more than Your trial: by it You cause whom You will to stray, and You lead whom You will to the right path. You are our Protector. Forgive us, therefore, and have mercy on us, for You are the best of those who forgive. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور موسٰی علیھ السّلامنے ہمارے وعدہ کے لئے اپنی قوم کے ستر ّ افراد کا انتخاب کیا پھر اس کے بعد جب ایک جھٹکے نے انھیں اپنی لپیٹ میں لے لیا تو کہنے لگے کہ پرودگار اگر تو چاہتا تو انھیں پہلے ہی ہلاک کردیتا اور مجھے بھی -کیا اب احمقوں کی حرکت کی بناپرہمیں بھی ہلاک کردے گا یہ تو صرف تیرا امتحان ہے جس سے جس کو چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں چھوڑدیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے تو ہمارا ولی ہے -ہمیں معاف کردے اورہم پر رحم فرما کہ تو بڑا بخشنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُس نے اپنی قوم کے ستر آدمیوں کو منتخب کیا تاکہ وہ (اُس کے ساتھ) ہمارے مقرر کیے ہوئے وقت پر حاضر ہوں جب اِن لوگوں کو ایک سخت زلزلے نے آ پکڑا تو موسیٰؑ نے عرض کیا ——اے میرے سرکار، آپ چاہتے تو پہلے ہی اِن کو اور مجھے ہلاک کرسکتے تھے کیا آپ اُس قصور میں جو ہم میں سے چند نادانوں نے کیا تھا ہم سب کو ہلاک کر دیں گے؟ یہ تو آپ کی ڈالی ہوئی ایک آزمائش تھی جس کے ذریعہ سے آپ جسے چاہتے ہیں گمراہی میں مبتلا کر دیتے ہیں اور جسے چاہتے ہیں ہدایت بخش دیتے ہیں ہمارے سر پرست تو آپ ہی ہیں پس ہمیں معاف کر دیجیے اور ہم پر رحم فرمائیے، آپ سب سے بڑھ کر معاف فرمانے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے سترّ ، مرد ہمارے وعدہ کے لیے چنے پھر جب انہیں زلزلہ نے لیا موسیٰ نے عرض کی اے رب میرے! تو چاہتا تو پہلے ہی انہیں اور مجھے ہلاک کردیتا کیا تو ہمیں اس کام پر ہلاک فرمائے گا جو ہمارے بے عقلوں نے کیا وہ نہیں مگر تیرا آزمانا، تو اس سے بہکائے جسے چاہے اور راہ دکھائے جسے چاہے تو ہمارا مولیٰ ہے تو ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر مہر کر اور تو سب سے بہتر بخشنے والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

ہمارے مقرر کردہ وقت پر حاضر ہونے کے لیے موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم کے ستر آدمیوں کو منتخب کیا پھر جب ایک سخت زلزلہ نے انہیں آپکڑا (اور وہ ہلاک ہوگئے) تو موسیٰ نے کہا اے میرے پروردگار اگر تو چاہتا تو ان سب کو پہلے ہی ہلاک کر دیتا اور مجھے بھی۔ کیا تو ایسی بات کی وجہ سے جو ہمارے چند احمقوں نے کی ہے ہم سب کو ہلاک کرتا ہے؟ یہ نہیں ہے مگر تیری طرف سے ایک آزمائش! اس کی وجہ سے تو جسے چاہتا ہے (توفیق سلب کرکے) گمراہی میں چھوڑ دیتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت کرتا ہے تو ہی ہمارا ولی و سرپرست ہے۔ ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم فرما اور تو بہترین مغفرت کرنے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا کی بھلائی بھی لکھ دیجیے اور آخرت کی بھی، ہم نے آپ کی طرف رجوع کر لیا—— جواب میں ارشاد ہوا ——سزا تو میں جسے چاہتا ہوں دیتا ہوں، مگر میری رحمت ہر چیز پر چھائی ہوئی ہے، اور اُسے میں اُن لوگوں کے حق میں لکھوں گا جو نافرمانی سے پرہیز کریں گے، زکوٰۃ دیں گے اور میری آیات پر ایمان لائیں گے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہمارے لیے اس دنیا میں بھلائی لکھ اور آخرت میں بیشک ہم تیری طرف رجوع لائے، فرمایا میرا عذاب میں جسے چاہوں دوں اور میری رحمت ہر چیز کو گھیرے ہے تو عنقریب میں نعمتوں کو ان کے لیے لکھ دوں گا جو ڈرتے اور زکوٰة دیتے ہیں اور وہ ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہمارے لئے اس دنیا میں بھی بھلائی لکھ دے اور آخرت میں بھی ہم تیری ہی طرف رجوع کرتے ہیں (ہم نے تجھ سے لو لگائی ہے) ارشاد ہوا (میرے عذاب کا یہ حال ہے کہ) جس کو چاہتا ہوں دیتا ہوں اور میری رحمت (کا یہ حال ہے کہ وہ) ہر چیز کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے۔ پس میں رحمت ان لوگوں کے لیے لکھ دوں گا جو پرہیزگاری کریں گے (برائیوں سے بچیں گے) اور زکوٰۃ ادا کریں گے اور ہماری آیتوں (نشانیوں) پر ایمان لے آئیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him, and help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—those who follow the Apostle, the untaught prophet, whose mention they find written with them in the Torah and the Evangel, who bids them to do what is right and forbids them from what is wrong, makes lawful to them all the good things and forbids them from all vicious things, and relieves them of their burdens and the shackles that were upon them—those who believe in him, honour him, and help him and follow the light that has been sent down with him, they are the felicitous.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

There are those who follow the Messengers, the illiterate Prophet (not conventionally educated), whose description they find written in the Torah and the Gospel. [He (the Messengers) enjoins them to do good and forbids them to do all that is unlawful, makes lawful for them all that is pure and unlawful all that is filthy, removes their burdens and the entanglements in which they are involved]. Those who believe in him, honor and help him, and follow the light which is sent down to him, will have everlasting happiness. - Sarwar, Muhammad

جو لوگ کہ رسولِ نبی امّی کا اتباع کرتے ہیں جس کا ذکر اپنے پاس توریت اور انجیل میں لکھا ہوا پاتے ہیں کہ وہ نیکیوں کا حکم دیتا ہے اور برائیوں سے روکتا ہے اور پاکیزہ چیزوں کو حلال قرار دیتاہے اور خبیث چیزوں کو حرام قرار دیتا ہے اور ان پر سے احکام کے سنگین بوجھ اور قیدوبند کو اٹھا دیتا ہے پس جو لوگ اس پر ایمان لائے اس کا احترام کیا اس کی امداد کی اور اس نور کا اتباع کیا جو اس کے ساتھ نازل ہوا ہے وہی درحقیقت فلاح یافتہ اور کامیاب ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(پس آج یہ رحمت اُن لوگوں کا حصہ ہے) جو اِس پیغمبر، نبی امی کی پیروی اختیار کریں جس کا ذکر اُنہیں اپنے ہاں تورات اور انجیل میں لکھا ہوا ملتا ہے وہ انہیں نیکی کا حکم دیتا ہے، بدی سے روکتا ہے، ان کے لیے پاک چیزیں حلال او ر ناپاک چیزیں حرام کرتا ہے، اور ان پر سے وہ بوجھ اتارتا ہے جو اُن پر لدے ہوئے تھے اور وہ بندشیں کھولتا ہے جن میں وہ جکڑے ہوئے تھے لہٰذا جو لوگ اس پر ایمان لائیں اور اس کی حمایت اور نصرت کریں اور اُس روشنی کی پیروی اختیار کریں جو اس کے ساتھ نازل کی گئی ہے، وہی فلاح پانے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو غلامی کریں گے اس رسول بے پڑھے غیب کی خبریں دینے والے کی جسے لکھا ہوا پائیں گے اپنے پاس توریت اور انجیل میں وہ انہیں بھلائی کا حکم دے گا اور برائی سے منع کرے گا اور ستھری چیزیں ان کے لیے حلال فرمائے گا اور گندی چیزیں ان پر حرام کرے گا اور ان پر سے وہ بوجھ اور گلے کے پھندے جو ان پر تھے اتا رے گا، تو وہ جو اس پر ایمان لائیں اور اس کی تعظیم کریں اور اسے مدد دیں اور اس نور کی پیروی کریں جو اس کے ساتھ اترا وہی بامراد ہوئے، - Ahmed Raza

جو اس پیغمبر(ص) کی پیروی کریں گے جو نبیِ امی ہے جسے وہ اپنے ہاں توراۃ و انجیل میں لکھا ہوا پاتے ہیں جو انہیں نیک کاموں کا حکم دیتا ہے اور برے کاموں سے روکتا ہے جو ان کے لیے پاک و پسندیدہ چیزوں کو حلال اور گندی و ناپاک چیزوں کو حرام قرار دیتا ہے اور ان پر سے ان کے بوجھ اتارتا ہے اور وہ زنجیریں کھولتا ہے جن میں وہ جکڑے ہوئے تھے۔ پس جو لوگ اس (نبیِ امی) پر ایمان لائے اور اس کی تعظیم کی اور اس کی مدد و نصرت کی اور اس نور (روشنی) کی پیروی کی جو اس کے ساتھ نازل کیا گیا ہے یہی لوگ فوز و فلاح پانے والے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
