قُلْ
Say,
أَنَدْعُوا۟
[Should we call
مِن
from
دُونِ
beneath
ٱللَّهِ
the One
مَا
to what
لَا
not
يَنفَعُنَا
can profit us
وَلَا
nor
يَضُرُّنَا
can hurt us,
وَنُرَدُّ
and we ruin
عَلَىٰٓ
upon
أَعْقَابِنَا
our succession
بَعْدَ
after
إِذْ
when
هَدَىٰنَا
has guided us
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
كَٱلَّذِى
as the one
ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ
whom tempted
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
the shayaateen
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
حَيْرَانَ
confounded,
لَهُۥٓ
for him
أَصْحَٰبٌۭ
being companions
يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ
calling him
إِلَى
to
ٱلْهُدَى
guidance (saying),
ٱئْتِنَا
—[Come to us]—.
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
[Surely
هُدَى
guidance of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
هُوَ
is
ٱلْهُدَىٰ
the true guidance;
ۖ
وَأُمِرْنَا
and we are commanded
لِنُسْلِمَ
for being submitters
لِرَبِّ
for Rabb of
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.]
٦
٧١
قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٌۭ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَى ٱئْتِنَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۖ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ Say, [Should we call from beneath the One to what not can profit us nor can hurt us, and we ruin upon our succession after when has guided us the One, as the one whom tempted the shayaateen in the land confounded, for him being companions calling him to guidance (saying), —[Come to us]—. Say, [Surely guidance of the One is the true guidance; and we are commanded for being submitters for Rabb of all the states of being.]

Say: Shall we cry, instead of unto Allah, unto that which neither profiteth us nor hurteth us, and shall we turn back after Allah hath guided us, like one bewildered whom the devils have infatuated in the earth, who hath companions who invite him to the guidance (saying): Come unto us? Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah is Guidance, and we are ordered to surrender to the Lord of the Worlds, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Shall we invoke besides Allah that which can neither benefit us nor harm us, and turn back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like someone seduced by the devils and bewildered on the earth, who has companions that invite him to guidance, [saying,] [[Come to us!]]?] Say, [Indeed it is the guidance of Allah which is [true] guidance. And we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all the worlds, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Say to them, [Should we, instead of asking for God's help, seek help from that which can neither benefit nor harm us, but would only turn us back to disbelief after God had granted us guidance? To do so would be to act like (those who have been) seduced by Satan, leaving them wandering aimlessly here and there, even though their friends call them, 'Come to the right guidance that has come to us.' [ Say, [God's guidance is the only true guidance and we are commanded to submit ourselves to the Lord of the Universe. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Shall we call on that besides Allah, which does not benefit us nor harm us, and shall we be returned back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like him whom the Shaitans have made to fall down perplexed in the earth? He has companions who call him to the right way, (saying): Come to us. پیغمبر آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہم خدا کو چھوڑ کر ان کو پکاریں جو نہ فائدہ پہنچاسکتے ہیں اور نہ نقصان اور اس طرح اللہ کے ہدایت دینے کے بعد اُلٹے پاؤں پلٹ جائیں جس طرح کہ کسی شخص کو شیطان نے روئے زمین پر بہکا دیا ہو اور وہ حیران و سرگرداں مارا مارا پھر رہا ہو اور اس کے کچھ اصحاب اسے ہدایت کی طرف پکار رہے ہوں کہ ادھر آجاؤ .... آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہدایت صرف اللہ کی ہدایت ہے اور ہمیں حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ ہم رب العالمین کی بارگاہ میں سراپا تسلیم رہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ! ان سے پو چھو کیا ہم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اُن کو پکاریں جو نہ ہمیں نفع دے سکتے ہیں نہ نقصان؟ اور جبکہ اللہ ہمیں سیدھا راستہ دکھا چکا ہے تو کیا اب ہم الٹے پاؤں پھر جائیں؟ کیا ہم اپنا حال اُس شخص کا سا کر لیں جسے شیطانوں نے صحرا میں بھٹکا دیا ہو اور وہ حیران و سرگرداں پھر رہا ہو درآں حالیکہ اس کے ساتھی اسے پکار رہے ہوں کہ اِدھر آ یہ سیدھی راہ موجود ہے؟کہو، حقیقت میں صحیح رہنمائی تو صرف اللہ ہی کی رہنمائی ہے اور اس کی طرف سے ہمیں یہ حکم ملا ہے کہ مالک کائنات کے آگے سر اطاعت خم کر دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ کیا ہم اللہ کے سوا اس کو پوجیں جو ہمارا نہ بھلا کرے نہ برُا اور الٹے پاؤں پلٹا دیے جائیں بعد اس کے کہ اللہ نے ہمیں راہ دکھائی اس کی طرح جسے شیطان نے زمین میں راہ بھلادی حیران ہے اس کے رفیق اسے راہ کی طرف بلا رہے ہیں کہ ادھر آ، تم فرماؤ کہ اللہ ہی کی ہدایت ہدایت ہے اور ہمیں حکم ہے کہ ہم اس کے لیے گردن رکھ دیں جو رب ہے سارے جہان - Ahmed Raza

کہیے! کیا ہم اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ان کو پکاریں جو نہ ہمیں نفع پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور نہ نقصان اور بعد اس کے کہ خدا ہم کو سیدھا راستہ دکھا چکا ہے ہم الٹے پاؤں پھر جائیں اس شخص کی طرح جسے شیطانوں (بھوتوں پریوں) نے (کہیں) زمین میں بے راہ اور سرگردان کر دیا جبکہ اس کے کچھ ساتھی اسے سیدھے راستے کی طرف بلا رہے ہوں کہ ہماری طرف آؤ مگر اسے کچھ سجھائی نہیں دیتا کہو ہدایت و راہنمائی تو بس اللہ کی ہدایت و راہنمائی ہے۔ اور ہمیں حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ ہم تمام جہانوں کے پروردگار کے سامنے سر تسلیم خم کر دیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

[And that
أَقِيمُوا۟
establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the Order
وَٱتَّقُوهُ
and be aware of Him;

وَهُوَ
and He is
ٱلَّذِىٓ
the Entity
إِلَيْهِ
towards Whom
تُحْشَرُونَ
you will be collected.]
[And that establish the Order and be aware of Him; and He is the Entity towards Whom you will be collected.]

And to establish worship and be dutiful to Him, and He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and that [[Maintain the prayer and be wary of Him, and it is He toward whom you will be gathered.]] ] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Be steadfast in prayer and have fear of God; before Him alone you will all be brought together. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور دیکھو نماز قائم کرواور اللہ سے ڈرو کہ وہی وہ ہے جس کی بارگاہ میں حاضر کئے جاؤ گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نماز قائم کرو اور اس کی نافرمانی سے بچو، اسی کی طرف تم سمیٹے جاؤ گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یہ کہ نماز قائم رکھو اور اس سے ڈرو، اور وہی ہے جس کی طرف اٹھنا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

And He is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who
خَلَقَ
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the land
بِٱلْحَقِّ
with the fact;
ۖ
وَيَوْمَ
and a day
يَقُولُ
He says,
كُن
— [Be] —
فَيَكُونُ
thus it starts to become;
ۚ
قَوْلُهُ
His speech is
ٱلْحَقُّ
the fact;
ۚ
وَلَهُ
and belongs to Him
ٱلْمُلْكُ
the ownership
يَوْمَ
on day
يُنفَخُ
it is blown
فِى
into
ٱلصُّورِ
Al-Soor;
ۚ
عَٰلِمُ
knower of
ٱلْغَيْبِ
the unseen,
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
and the testimony;
ۚ
وَهُوَ
and He is that who is
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Most Wise
ٱلْخَبِيرُ
the Most Informed.]

٧٣
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ And He is the Entity who created the heavens and the land with the fact; and a day He says, — [Be] — thus it starts to become; His speech is the fact; and belongs to Him the ownership on day it is blown into Al-Soor; knower of the unseen, and the testimony; and He is that who is the Most Wise the Most Informed.]

He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in truth. In the day when He saith: Be! it is. His Word is the Truth, and His will be the Sovereignty on the day when the trumpet is blown. Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, He is the Wise, the Aware. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is He who created the heavens and the earth with reason, and the day He says [to something], [Be!] it is. His word is the truth, and to Him belongs all sovereignty on the day when the Trumpet will be blown. Knower of the sensible and the Unseen, He is the All-wise, the All-aware. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It is He Who has created the heavens and the earth for a genuine purpose. When He commands the Day of Judgment to take place, it will come into existence. His Word is the Truth. The kingdom will be His alone on the day when the trumpet will be sounded. He has all knowledge of the unseen as well as the seen. He is All-wise and All-aware. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth with truth, and on the day He says: Be, it is. His word is the truth, and His is the kingdom on the day when the trumpet shall be blown; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; and He is the Wise, the Aware. - Shakir, Habib

وہی وہ ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے اور وہ جب بھی کہتا ہے کہ ہوجا تو وہ چیز ہوجاتی ہے اس کا قول برحق ہے اور جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا اس دن سارا اختیار اسی کے ہاتھ میں ہوگا وہ غائب اور حاضر سب کا جاننے والا صاحب حکمت اور ہر شے سے باخبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہی ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین کو بر حق پیدا کیا ہے اور جس د ن وہ کہے گا کہ حشر ہو جائے اسی دن وہ ہو جائے گا اس کا ارشاد عین حق ہے اور جس روز صور پھونکا جائیگا اس روز پادشاہی اُسی کی ہوگی، وہ غیب اور شہادت ہر چیز کا عالم ہے اور دانا اور باخبر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہی ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین ٹھیک بنائے اور جس دن فنا ہوئی ہر چیز کو کہے گا ہو جا وہ فوراً ہوجائے گی، اس کی بات سچی ہے، اور اسی کی سلطنت ہے جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا ہر چھپے اور ظاہر کو جاننے والا، اور وہی حکمت والا خبردار، - Ahmed Raza

وہی تو وہ (خدا) ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو برحق پیدا کیا۔ جس دن وہ کہے گا کہ ہوجا بس وہ ہو جائے گا۔ اس کا قول حق اور سچ ہے اسی کی حکومت ہوگی جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا وہ غیب اور حاضر سب کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہ بڑا حکمت والا، بڑا باخبر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And when
قَالَ
questioned
إِبْرَٰهِيمُ
Ibrahim
لِأَبِيهِ
from his father
ءَازَرَ
Azar,
أَتَتَّخِذُ
[Why do you take
أَصْنَامًا
idols
ءَالِهَةً
as gods?
ۖ
إِنِّىٓ
Indeed I
أَرَىٰكَ
see you
وَقَوْمَكَ
and your nation
فِى
in
ضَلَٰلٍۢ
misguidance
مُّبِينٍۢ
clearly.]
٦
٧٤
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ And when questioned Ibrahim from his father Azar, [Why do you take idols as gods? Indeed I see you and your nation in misguidance clearly.]

(Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods? Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Abraham said to Azar, his father, [Do you take idols for gods? Indeed I see you and your people in manifest error.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Consider when Abraham asked his father, Azar, [Why do you believe idols to be your gods? I find you and your people in absolute error]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Ibrahim said to his sire, Azar: Do you take idols for gods? Surely I see you and your people in manifest error. - Shakir, Habib

Remember when Abraham said to his father, Azar, [Do you take idols as your gods? I see that you and your people have clearly gone astray.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ابراہیم علیھ السّلامنے اپنے مربی باپ آزر سے کہا کہ کیا تو ان بتوں کو خدا بنائے ہوئے ہے .میں تو تجھے اور تیری قوم کو کِھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں دیکھ رہا ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ابراہیمؑ کا واقعہ یاد کرو جبکہ اُس نے اپنے باپ آزر سے کہا تھا ——کیا تو بتوں کو خدا بناتا ہے؟ میں تو تجھے اور تیری قوم کو کھلی گمراہی میں پاتا ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب ابراہیم نے اپنے باپ آزر سے کہا، کیا تم بتوں کو خدا بناتے ہو، بیشک میں تمہیں اور تمہاری قوم کو کھلی گمراہی میں پاتا ہوں - Ahmed Raza

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And that is how
نُرِىٓ
We showed
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
مَلَكُوتَ
kingdom of
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the land,
وَلِيَكُونَ
and for him to be
مِنَ
of
ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ
the absolutely certain.
٦
٧٥
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُرِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ And that is how We showed Ibrahim kingdom of the atmospheres and the land, and for him to be of the absolutely certain.

Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might be of those possessing certainty: - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thus did We show Abraham the dominions of the heavens and the earth, that he might be of those who possess certitude. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Also, We showed (Abraham) the kingdom of the heavens and the earth to strengthen his faith. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And thus did We show Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and that he might be of those who are sure. - Shakir, Habib

In this way We showed Abraham Our kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he might have certainty of faith. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اسی طرح ہم ابراہیم علیھ السّلامکو آسمان و زمین کے اختیارات دکھلاتے ہیں اور اس لئے کہ وہ یقین کرنے والوں میں شامل ہوجائیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ابراہیمؑ کو ہم اِسی طرح زمین اور آسمانوں کا نظام سلطنت دکھاتے تھے اور اس لیے دکھاتے تھے کہ وہ یقین کرنے والوں میں سے ہو جائے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اسی طرح ہم ابراہیم کو دکھاتے ہیں ساری بادشاہی آسمانوں اور زمین کی اور اس لیے کہ وہ عین الیقین والوں میں ہوجائے - Ahmed Raza

فَلَمَّا
Thus when
جَنَّ
covered
عَلَيْهِ
upon him
ٱلَّيْلُ
the night
رَءَا
he saw
كَوْكَبًۭا
stars.
ۖ
قَالَ
He said,
هَٰذَا
[This is
رَبِّى
my Rabb!],
ۖ
فَلَمَّآ
but when
أَفَلَ
they disappeared
قَالَ
he said,
لَآ
[Not
أُحِبُّ
I love
ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ
the ones who disappear.]
٦
٧٦
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًۭا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ Thus when covered upon him the night he saw stars. He said, [This is my Rabb!], but when they disappeared he said, [Not I love the ones who disappear.]

When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: I love not things that set. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When night darkened over him, he saw a star and said, [This is my Lord!] But when it set, he said, [I do not like those who set.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When it became dark at night, he (Abraham) saw a star and said, [This is my lord.] But when it disappeared, he said, [I do not love those who fade away]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So when the night over-shadowed him, he saw a star; said he: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: I do not love the setting ones. - Shakir, Habib

When night descended on him, he saw a star. He said, [This is my Lord!] Then when it set he said, [I do not love things that set.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پس جب ان پر رات کی تاریکی چھائی اور انہوں نے ستارہ کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ کیا یہ میرا رب ہے . پھر جب وہ غروب ہوگیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں ڈوب جانے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

چنانچہ جب رات اس پر طاری ہوئی تو اُس نے ایک تار ا دیکھا کہا یہ میرا رب ہے مگر جب وہ ڈوب گیا تو بولا ڈوب جانے والوں کا تو میں گرویدہ نہیں ہوں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب ان پر رات کا اندھیرا آیا ایک تارا دیکھا بولے اسے میرا رب ٹھہراتے ہو پھر جب وہ ڈوب گیا بولے مجھے خوش نہیں آتے ڈوبنے والے، - Ahmed Raza

چنانچہ جب ان (ابراہیم) پر رات کی تاریکی چھا گئی تو انہوں نے ایک ستارہ کو دیکھا تو کہا یہ میرا رب ہے؟ تو جب وہ ڈوب گیا تو کہا۔ میں ڈوب جانے والوں سے محبت نہیں کرتا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

لما | then for what (reason)? | then for when
فَلَمَّا
Then when
رَءَا
he saw
ٱلْقَمَرَ
the Moon
بَازِغًۭا
illuminating
قَالَ
he said,
هَٰذَا
[This here is
رَبِّى
my Rabb!]
ۖ
فَلَمَّآ
But when
أَفَلَ
it sat
قَالَ
he said,
لَئِن
[If
لَّمْ
not
يَهْدِنِى
guides me
رَبِّى
my Rabb
لَأَكُونَنَّ
for sure I shall be
مِنَ
of
ٱلْقَوْمِ
the nation of
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
the lost ones.]
٦
٧٧
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلْقَمَرَ بَازِغًۭا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِى رَبِّى لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ Then when he saw the Moon illuminating he said, [This here is my Rabb!] But when it sat he said, [If not guides me my Rabb for sure I shall be of the nation of the lost ones.]

And when he saw the moon uprising, he exclaimed: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of the folk who are astray. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then, when he saw the moon rising, he said, [This is my Lord!] But when it set, he said, [Had my Lord not guided me, I would surely have been among the astray lot.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Abraham saw the rising moon, he said, [This is my lord.] But when it faded away, he said, [If my Lord does not guide me I shall certainly go astray.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then when he saw the moon rising, he said: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: If my Lord had not guided me I should certainly be of the erring people. - Shakir, Habib

When he saw the moon rise and spread its light, he said, [This is my Lord.] But when it set, he said, [If my Lord does not guide me, I will be one of the misguided people.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر جب چاند کو چمکتا دیکھا تو کہا کہ پھر یہ رب ہوگا .پھر جب وہ بھی ڈوب گیا تو کہا کہ اگر پروردگار ہی ہدایت نہ دے گا تو میں گمراہوں میں ہوجاؤں گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Then when
رَءَا
he saw
ٱلشَّمْسَ
the Sun
بَازِغَةًۭ
brightly coming out
قَالَ
he said,
هَٰذَا
[This is
رَبِّى
my Rabb!
هَٰذَآ
This is
أَكْبَرُ
bigger.]
ۖ
فَلَمَّآ
But when
أَفَلَتْ
it sat
قَالَ
he said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[Oh nation!
إِنِّى
I am
بَرِىٓءٌۭ
free
مِّمَّا
from what
تُشْرِكُونَ
you associate (to the One.)]
٦
٧٨
فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةًۭ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى هَٰذَآ أَكْبَرُ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ Then when he saw the Sun brightly coming out he said, [This is my Rabb! This is bigger.] But when it sat he said, [Oh nation! I am free from what you associate (to the One.)]

And when he saw the sun uprising, he cried: This is my Lord! This is greater! And when it set he exclaimed: O my people! Lo! I am free from all that ye associate (with Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then, when he saw the sun rising, he said, [This is my Lord! This is bigger!] But when it set, he said, [O my people, indeed I disown what you take as [His] partners.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When he saw the rising sun, he said, [This is my Lord for it is greater (than the others).] But when this too faded away, (Abraham) said, [My people, I disavow whatever you consider equal to God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then when he saw the sun rising, he said: Is this my Lord? Is this the greatest? So when it set, he said: O my people! surely I am clear of what you set up (with Allah). - Shakir, Habib

Then, when he saw the sun shining, he said, [This is my Lord! This is the greatest of all!] Then when it set, he said, [My people, I disown all that you worship besides God. - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر جب چمکتے ہوئے سورج کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ پھر یہ خدا ہوگا کہ یہ زیادہ بڑا ہے لیکن جب وہ بھی غروب ہوگیا تو کہا کہ اے قوم میں تمہارے شِرک سے بری اور بیزار ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب سورج کو روشن دیکھا تو کہا یہ ہے میرا رب، یہ سب سے بڑا ہے مگر جب وہ بھی ڈوبا تو ابراہیمؑ پکار اٹھا ——اے برادران قوم! میں اُن سب سے بیزار ہوں جنہیں تم خدا کا شریک ٹھیراتے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب سورج جگمگاتا دیکھا بولے اسے میرا رب کہتے ہو یہ تو ان سب سے بڑا ہے، پھر جب وہ ڈوب گیا کہا اے قوم میں بیزار ہوں ان چیزوں سے جنہیں تم شریک ٹھہراتے ہو - Ahmed Raza

[I have
وَجَّهْتُ
directed
وَجْهِىَ
my aim
لِلَّذِى
for the Entity who
فَطَرَ
originated
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the atmospheres
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the land,
حَنِيفًۭا
as secular (obedient to only One authority),
ۖ
وَمَآ
and not
أَنَا۠
I am
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
the ones who add partners.]
٦
٧٩
إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ [I have directed my aim for the Entity who originated the atmospheres and the land, as secular (obedient to only One authority), and not I am from the ones who add partners.]

Lo! I have turned my face toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, as one by nature upright, and I am not of the idolaters. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[Indeed I have turned my face toward Him who originated the heavens and the earth, as a Hanif, and I am not one of the polytheists.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

I have up-rightly submitted myself to the One who has created the heavens and the earth and I am not an idol worshipper.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely I have turned myself, being upright, wholly to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth, and I am not of the polytheists. - Shakir, Habib

میں نے تویکسو ہو کر اپنا رخ اُس ہستی کی طرف کر لیا جس نے زمین اور آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا ہے اور میں ہرگز شرک کرنے والوں میں سے نہیں ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَحَآجَّهُۥ
And argued with him
قَوْمُهُۥ
his nation.
ۚ
قَالَ
He said,
أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى
[Do you fight me
فِى
in matter of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَقَدْ
while certainly
هَدَىٰنِ
He guided me?
ۚ
وَلَآ
And not
أَخَافُ
I fear
مَا
what
تُشْرِكُونَ
you associate
بِهِۦٓ
with Him,
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
if
يَشَآءَ
desires
رَبِّى
my Rabb
شَيْـًۭٔا
a thing.
ۗ
وَسِعَ
Widespread
رَبِّى
is my Rabb,
كُلَّ
all
شَىْءٍ
things
عِلْمًا
are in His knowledge;
ۗ
أَفَلَا
then why do not
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
you recall?]
٦
٨٠
وَحَآجَّهُۥ قَوْمُهُۥ ۚ قَالَ أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى فِى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنِ ۚ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ رَبِّى شَيْـًۭٔا ۗ وَسِعَ رَبِّى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًا ۗ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ And argued with him his nation. He said, [Do you fight me in matter of the One while certainly He guided me? And not I fear what you associate with Him, except if desires my Rabb a thing. Widespread is my Rabb, all things are in His knowledge; then why do not you recall?]

His people argued with him. He said: Dispute ye with me concerning Allah when He hath guided me? I fear not at all that which ye set up beside Him unless my Lord willeth aught. My Lord includeth all things in His knowledge. Will ye not then remember? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

His people argued with him. He said, [Do you argue with me concerning Allah, while He has guided me for certain? I do not fear what you ascribe to Him as [His] partners, excepting anything that my Lord may wish. My Lord embraces all things in [His] knowledge. Will you not then take admonition? - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
In an argument with his people, (Abraham) asked them, [Why do you argue with me about God who has given me guidance? Your idols can do no harm to me unless God wills. God knows all things. Why, then, do you not consider this? - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And his people disputed with him. He said: Do you dispute with me respecting Allah? And He has guided me indeed; and I do not fear in any way those that you set up with Him, unless my Lord pleases; my Lord comprehends all things in His knowledge; will you not then mind? - Shakir, Habib

His people argued with him. He said, [Are you arguing with me about God, while He has guided me? I have no fear of any partner you ascribe to Him, unless my Lord should wish otherwise. My Lord encompasses all things in His knowledge, so will you not pay heed? - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ان کی قوم نے ان سے کٹ حجتی کی تو کہا کہ کیا مجھ سے خدا کے بارے میں بحث کررہے ہو جس نے مجھے ہدایت دے دی ہے اور میں تمہارے شریک کردہ خداؤں سے بالکل نہیں ڈرتا ہوں .مگر یہ کہ خود میرا خدا کوئی بات چاہے کہ اس کا علم ہر شے سے وسیع تر ہے کیا یہ بات تمہاری سمجھ میں نہیں آتی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اس کی قوم اس سے جھگڑنے لگی تو اس نے قوم سے کہا ——کیا تم لوگ اللہ کے معاملہ میں مجھ سے جھگڑتے ہو؟ حالانکہ اس نے مجھے راہ راست دکھا دی ہے اور میں تمہارے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں سے نہیں ڈرتا، ہاں اگر میرا رب کچھ چاہے تو وہ ضرور ہو سکتا ہے میرے رب کا علم ہر چیز پر چھایا ہوا ہے، پھر کیا تم ہوش میں نہ آؤ گے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ان کی قوم ان سے جھگڑے لگی کہا کیا اللہ کے بارے میں مجھ سے جھگڑتے ہو تو وہ مجھے راہ بتا چکا اور مجھے ان کا ڈر نہیں جنہیں تم شریک بتاتے ہو ہاں جو میرا ہی رب کوئی بات چاہے میرے رب کا علم ہر چیز کو محیط ہے، تو کیا تم نصیحت نہیں مانتے - Ahmed Raza

with the One
مَا

لَمْ
not
يُنَزِّلْ
He sent down
بِهِۦ
about it
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
سُلْطَٰنًۭا
any authority.
ۚ
فَأَىُّ
So which of
ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ
the two groups is
أَحَقُّ
factually
بِٱلْأَمْنِ
with conviction,
ۖ
إِن
If
كُنتُمْ
you are
تَعْلَمُونَ
of knowing?]

وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًۭا ۚ فَأَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْأَمْنِ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ [And how could I fear what you associate, while not you fear that you associate with the One what not He sent down about it upon you any authority. So which of the two groups is factually with conviction, If you are of knowing?]

How should I fear that which ye set up beside Him, when ye fear not to set up beside Allah that for which He hath revealed unto you no warrant? Which of the two factions hath more right to safety? (Answer me that) if ye have knowledge. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

How could I fear what you ascribe [to Him] as [His] partners, when you do not fear ascribing to Allah partners for which He has not sent down any authority to you? So [tell me,] which of the two sides has a greater right to safety, if you know? - Qarai, Ali Quli

اور میں تمہارے شریکوں سے کیونکر ڈروں اور تم نہیں ڈرتے کہ تم نے اللہ کا شریک اس کو ٹھہرایا جس کی تم پر اس نے کوئی سند نہ اتاری، تو دونوں گروہوں میں امان کا زیادہ سزا وار کون ہے اگر تم جانتے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

ٱلَّذِينَ
The ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
are of conviction,
وَلَمْ
and not
يَلْبِسُوٓا۟
they cover
إِيمَٰنَهُم
their trusts
بِظُلْمٍ
with injustice,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are
لَهُمُ
for whom is
ٱلْأَمْنُ
the tranquillity
وَهُم
and they are those
مُّهْتَدُونَ
who are guided.

٨٢
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ The ones who are of conviction, and not they cover their trusts with injustice, those are for whom is the tranquillity and they are those who are guided.

Those who believe and obscure not their belief by wrongdoing, theirs is safety; and they are rightly guided. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who have faith and do not taint their faith with wrongdoing—for such there shall be safety, and they are the [rightly] guided.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

حُجَّتُنَآ
Our arguments
ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ
which We gave to
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
Ibrahim
عَلَىٰ
upon
قَوْمِهِۦ
his nation.
ۚ
نَرْفَعُ
We raise
دَرَجَٰتٍۢ
levels
مَّن
of whom
نَّشَآءُ
We desire;
ۗ
إِنَّ
indeed
رَبَّكَ
your Rabb is
حَكِيمٌ
wisely
عَلِيمٌۭ
well informed.
٦
٨٣
وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ ۚ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَٰتٍۢ مَّن نَّشَآءُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌۭ And these were Our arguments which We gave to Ibrahim upon his nation. We raise levels of whom We desire; indeed your Rabb is wisely well informed.

That is Our argument. We gave it unto Abraham against his folk. We raise unto degrees of wisdom whom We will. Lo! thy Lord is Wise, Aware. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

This was Our argument that We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise in rank whomever We wish. Indeed your Lord is all-wise, all-knowing. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Such was the authoritative reasoning that We gave Abraham over his people. We raise whomever We want to a higher rank. Your Lord is All-wise and All-knowing. - Sarwar, Muhammad

all of whom
هَدَيْنَا
We guided;
ۚ
وَنُوحًا
and Nooh
هَدَيْنَا
We had directed
مِن
of
قَبْلُ
before;
ۖ
وَمِن
and from
ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ
his (Ibrahim's) lineage
دَاوُۥدَ
Dawood,
وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ
and Suleyman,
وَأَيُّوبَ
and Ayuub,
وَيُوسُفَ
and Yousuf,
وَمُوسَىٰ
and Moosa
وَهَٰرُونَ
and Haroon;
ۚ
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
and that is how
نَجْزِى
We reward
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers.
٦
٨٤
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ And We granted to him (Ibrahim) Ishaaq and Yaqoob; all of whom We guided; and Nooh We had directed of before; and from his (Ibrahim's) lineage Dawood, and Suleyman, and Ayuub, and Yousuf, and Moosa and Haroon; and that is how We reward the good-doers.

And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; each of them We guided; and Noah did We guide aforetime; and of his seed (We guided) David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the good. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob and guided each of them. And Noah We had guided before, and from his offspring, David and Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron—thus do We reward the virtuous— - Qarai, Ali Quli

We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob. Both had received Our guidance. Noah received Our guidance before Abraham and so did his descendants: David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. Thus is the reward for the righteous people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We gave to him Ishaq and Yaqoub; each did We guide, and Nuh did We guide before, and of his descendants, Dawood and Sulaiman and Ayub and Yusuf and Musa and Haroun; and thus do We reward those who do good (to others). - Shakir, Habib

We gave him Isaac and Jacob, each of whom We guided as We had guided Noah before. Among his descendants were David and Solomon, and Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the righteous. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے ابراہیم علیھ السّلامکو اسحاق علیھ السّلامو یعقوب علیھ السّلامدئیے اور سب کو ہدایت بھی دی اور اس کے پہلے نوح علیھ السّلامکو ہدایت دی اور پھر ابراہیم علیھ السّلامکی اولاد میں داؤد علیھ السّلام ,سلیمان علیھ السّلامًایوب علیھ السّلامً یوسف علیھ السّلام,موسٰی علیھ السّلام ,اور ہارون علیھ السّلامقرار دئیے اور ہم ِسی طرح نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو جزا دیتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر ہم نے ابراہیمؑ کو اسحاقؑ اور یعقوبؑ جیسی اولاد دی اور ہر ایک کو راہ راست دکھائی (وہی راہ راست جو) اس سے پہلے نوحؑ کو دکھائی تھی اور اُسی کی نسل سے ہم نے داؤدؑ، سلیمانؑ، ایوبؑ، یوسفؑ، موسیٰؑ اور ہارونؑ کو (ہدایت بخشی) اِس طرح ہم نیکو کاروں کو ان کی نیکی کا بدلہ دیتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے انہیں اسحاق اور یعقوب عطا کیے، ان سب کو ہم نے راہ دکھائی اور ان سے پہلے نوح کو راہ دکھائی اور میں اس کی اولاد میں سے داؤد اور سلیمان اور ایوب اور یوسف اور موسیٰ اور ہارون کو، اور ہم ایسا ہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں نیکوکاروں کو، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے انہیں اسحاق جیسا (بیٹا) اور یعقوب (جیسا پوتا) عطا فرمایا۔ ہر ایک کو ہم نے ہدایت دی اور ان سے پہلے نوح کو ہدایت دی۔ اور ان (نوح یا ابراہیم) کی اولاد میں سے داؤد، سلیمان، ایوب، یوسف، موسیٰ، ہارون کو (بھی ہدایت دی) اور اسی طرح ہم نیکوکاروں کو جزا دیا کرتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

the constructive-workers.
And Zakariya, and Yahya, and Essa, and Ilyaas; all were from the constructive-workers.

And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias. Each one (of them) was of the righteous. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and Zechariah, John, Jesus and Ilyas—each of them among the righteous— - Qarai, Ali Quli

We also gave guidance to Zacharias, John, Jesus, and Elias, who were all pious people, - Sarwar, Muhammad

Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elijah, every one of them was righteous, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور زکریا علیھ السّلام,یحیٰی علیھ السّلام,عیسٰی علیھ السّلاماور الیاس علیھ السّلام کو بھی رکھا جو سب کے سب نیک کرداروں میں تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اُسی کی اولاد سے) زکریاؑ، یحییٰؑ، عیسیٰؑ اور الیاسؑ کو (راہ یاب کیا) ہر ایک ان میں سے صالح تھا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور زکریا اور یحییٰ اور عیسیٰ اور الیاس کو یہ سب ہمارے قرب کے لائق ہیں - Ahmed Raza
⦿
اور زکریا، یحییٰ، عیسیٰ اور الیاس کو (بھی ہم نے ہدایت دی) جو سب صالحین میں سے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

الياس | [Prophet][Biblical name - Elijah] -
عيسى | [Prophet][Biblical name - Jesus] -
يحيى | [Prophet] - inspiration | revealed | alive | vivid | signalled | advice | suggestion | became apparent or distinct
زكريا | [Prophet][Biblical name - Zechariah] -
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ
And Isma'eel,
وَٱلْيَسَعَ
and Yasa'a
وَيُونُسَ
and Yunus,
وَلُوطًۭا
and Loot;
ۚ
وَكُلًّۭا
all whom
فَضَّلْنَا
We favoured
عَلَى
upon
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.
And Isma'eel, and Yasa'a and Yunus, and Loot; all whom We favoured upon all the states of being.
⦿
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one (of them) did We prefer above (Our) creatures, - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah and Lot—each We graced over all the nations— - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
and Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot whom We exalted over all people. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And Ismail and Al-Yasha and Yunus and Lut; and every one We made to excel (in) the worlds: - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot -- We favoured each one of them above other people, - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اور اسماعیل علیھ السّلام, الیسع علیھ السّلام ,یونس علیھ السّلام اور لوط علیھ السّلام بھی بنائے اور سب کو عالمین سے افضل و بہتر بنایا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اسی کے خاندان سے) اسماعیلؑ، الیسعؑ، اور یونسؑ اور لوطؑ کو (راستہ دکھایا) اِن میں سے ہر ایک کو ہم نے تمام دنیا والوں پر فضیلت عطا کی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اسماعیل اور یسع اور یونس اور لوط کو، اور ہم نے ہر ایک کو اس کے وقت میں سب پر فضیلت دی - Ahmed Raza

وَمِنْ
And from
ءَابَآئِهِمْ
their forefathers
وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ
and their lineages
وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ
and their brothers,
ۖ
وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ
We chose them
وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ
and guided them
إِلَىٰ
to
صِرَٰطٍۢ
a path that is
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
stable.
٦
٨٧
وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ ۖ وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ And from their forefathers and their lineages and their brothers, We chose them and guided them to a path that is stable.

With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and from among their fathers, their descendants and brethren—We chose them and guided them to a straight path. - Qarai, Ali Quli

From their fathers, descendants, and brothers, We chose (certain) people and guided them to the right path. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And from among their fathers and their descendants and their brethren, and We chose them and guided them into the right way. - Shakir, Habib

اور پھر ان کے باپ دادا ,اولاد اور برادری میں سے اور خود انہیں بھی منتخب کیا اور سب کو سیدھے راستہ کی ہدایت کردی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نیز ان کے آبا و اجداد اور ان کی اولاد اور ان کے بھائی بندوں میں سے بہتوں کو ہم نے نوازا، انہیں اپنی خدمت کے لیے چن لیا اور سیدھے راستے کی طرف اُن کی رہنمائی کی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کچھ ان کے باپ دادا اور اولاد اور بھائیوں میں سے بعض کو اور ہم نے انہیں چن لیا اور سیدھی راہ دکھائی، - Ahmed Raza

اور ان کے آباء و اجداد اور اولاد اور بھائیوں میں سے بھی (کچھ کو ہدایت دی) اور ہم نے انہیں منتخب کیا اور سیدھے راستے کی ہدایت دی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ذَٰلِكَ
That is
هُدَى
guidance of
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
يَهْدِى
He guides
بِهِۦ
about it
مَن
who
يَشَآءُ
He desires
مِنْ
from
عِبَادِهِۦ
His slaves;
ۚ
وَلَوْ
had it been that
أَشْرَكُوا۟
they added authorities (with the One),
لَحَبِطَ
would have been defeated
عَنْهُم
against them
مَّا
what
كَانُوا۟
they had been
يَعْمَلُونَ
doing.
٦
٨٨
ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ That is guidance of the One; He guides about it who He desires from His slaves; had it been that they added authorities (with the One), would have been defeated against them what they had been doing.
⦿
Such is the guidance of Allah wherewith He guideth whom He will of His bondmen. But if they had set up (for worship) aught beside Him, (all) that they did would have been vain. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That is Allah]s guidance: with it, He guides whomever He wishes of His servants. But were they to ascribe any partners [to Allah], what they used to do would not avail them. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Such is the guidance of God by which He guides whichever of His servants He wants. If people worship idols, their deeds will be turned devoid of all virtue. - Sarwar, Muhammad

This is Allah's guidance, He guides thereby whom He pleases of His servants; and if they had set up others (with Him), certainly what they did would have become ineffectual for them. - Shakir, Habib

This is the guidance of God: He gives that guidance to whichever of His servants He pleases. If they had associated other deities with Him, surely all they did would have been of no avail. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہی خدا کی ہدایت ہے جسے جس بندے کو چاہتا ہے عطا کردیتاہے اور اگر یہ لوگ شرک اختیار کرلیتے تو ان کے بھی سارے اعمال برباد ہوجاتے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے جس کے ساتھ وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کی چاہتا ہے رہنمائی کرتا ہے لیکن اگر کہیں ان لوگوں نے شرک کیا ہوتا تو ان کا سب کیا کرایا غارت ہو جاتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے کہ اپنے بندوں میں جسے چاہے دے، اور اگر وہ شرک کرتے تو ضرور ان کا کیا اکارت جاتا، - Ahmed Raza

یہ اللہ کی خاص ہدایت ہے جس کے ذریعے سے وہ بندوں میں سے جس کی چاہتا ہے راہنمائی کرتا ہے اور اگر انہوں نے شرک کیا ہوتا تو ان کے وہ سب عمل برباد ہو جاتے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ذا ⇐ ذلك | that | thereof | though | therefrom
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those are
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones to whom
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
We gave
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book,
وَٱلْحُكْمَ
and the Judgement,
وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ
and Leadership.
ۚ
فَإِن
Then if
يَكْفُرْ
deny
بِهَا
about them (the Book, the Judgement, and the Leadership)
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
these people,
فَقَدْ
then certainly
وَكَّلْنَا
We have appointed
بِهَا
through them
قَوْمًۭا
nations
لَّيْسُوا۟
not who are
بِهَا
about them
بِكَٰفِرِينَ
with deniers.
٦
٨٩
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ۚ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًۭا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ Those are the ones to whom We gave the Book, and the Judgement, and Leadership. Then if deny about them (the Book, the Judgement, and the Leadership) these people, then certainly We have appointed through them nations not who are about them with deniers.

Those are they unto whom We gave the Scripture and command and prophethood. But if these disbelieve therein, then indeed We shall entrust it to a people who will not be disbelievers therein. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They are the ones whom We gave the Book, judgement and prophethood. So if these disbelieve in them, We have certainly entrusted them to a people who will never disbelieve in them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

These were the people to whom We gave the Book, Authority, and Prophesy. If some people do not accept Our guidance, it should not grieve you, (Muhammad), for We have made others who accept and protect Our guidance. - Sarwar, Muhammad

These are they to whom We gave the book and the wisdom and the prophecy; therefore if these disbelieve in it We have already entrusted with it a people who are not disbelievers in it. - Shakir, Habib

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood. If these people [the Makkans] reject it, We shall entrust it to a people who will never refuse to acknowledge it. - Wahiduddin Khan

وہ لوگ تھے جن کو ہم نے کتاب اور حکم اور نبوت عطا کی تھی اب اگر یہ لوگ اس کو ماننے سے انکار کرتے ہیں تو (پروا نہیں) ہم نے کچھ اور لوگوں کو یہ نعمت سونپ دی ہے جو اس سے منکر نہیں ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ ہیں جن کو ہم نے کتاب اور حکم اور نبوت عطا کی تو اگر یہ لوگ اس سے منکر ہوں تو ہم نے اس کیلئے ایک ایسی قوم لگا رکھی ہے جو انکار والی نہیں - Ahmed Raza

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو ہم نے کتاب کا حکم اور نبوت عطا کی اب اگر یہ (مکہ والے) لوگ ان چیزوں کا انکار کرتے ہیں تو کوئی پروا نہیں ہے ہم نے ان چیزوں کا ذمہ دار ان لوگوں کو بنایا ہے جو انکار کرنے والے نہیں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those are
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones whom
هَدَى
guided
ٱللَّهُ
the One;
ۖ
فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ
thus through their guidance
ٱقْتَدِهْ
make them a model.
ۗ
قُل
Say,
لَّآ
[Not
أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
I ask you all
عَلَيْهِ
upon it
أَجْرًا
a payment;
ۖ
إِنْ
indeed
هُوَ
it is
إِلَّا
not except
ذِكْرَىٰ
a reminder
لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ
for the nations.]
٦
٩٠
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقْتَدِهْ ۗ قُل لَّآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ Those are the ones whom guided the One; thus through their guidance make them a model. Say, [Not I ask you all upon it a payment; indeed it is not except a reminder for the nations.]
⦿
Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for it. Lo! it is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They are the ones whom Allah has guided. So follow their guidance. Say, [I do not ask you any recompense for it. It is just an admonition for all the nations.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We had guided the Prophets. (Muhammad), follow their guidance and say (to the people), [I do not ask any reward for what I have preached to you. It is my duty to awaken the world.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
These are they whom Allah guided, therefore follow their guidance. Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; it is nothing but a reminder to the nations. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Those [the previous prophets] were the people whom God guided. Follow their guidance then and say, [I ask no reward for this from you: it is only a reminder for all mankind.] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں اللہ نے ہدایت دی ہے لہذا آپ بھی اسی ہدایت کے راستہ پر چلیں اور کہہ دیجئے کہ ہم تم سے اس کار تبلیغ و ہدایت کا کوئی اجر نہیں چاہتے ہیں یہ قرآن تو عالمین کی یاددہانی کا ذریعہ ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ! وہی لوگ اللہ کی طرف سے ہدایت یافتہ تھے، انہی کے راستہ پر تم چلو، اور کہہ دو کہ میں (اس تبلیغ و ہدایت کے) کام پر تم سے کسی اجر کا طالب نہیں ہوں، یہ تو ایک عام نصیحت ہے تمام دنیا والوں کے لیے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ ہیں جن کو اللہ نے ہدایت کی تو تم انہیں کی راہ چلو تم فرماؤ میں قرآن پر تم سے کوئی اجرت نہیں مانگتا وہ تو نہیں مگر نصیحت سارے جہان کو - Ahmed Raza

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کو اللہ نے ہدایت دی ہے سو آپ بھی ان کے راستہ اور طریقہ پر چلیں۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ میں اس پر تم سے کوئی معاوضہ نہیں مانگتا وہ (قرآن) تو تمام عالمین کے لئے نصیحت ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَدَرُوا۟
they valued
ٱللَّهَ

قَالُوا۟
they said,
مَآ
[Not
أَنزَلَ
has descended
ٱللَّهُ
the One
عَلَىٰ
upon
بَشَرٍۢ
man
مِّن
of
شَىْءٍۢ
a thing.]
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
مَنْ
[Who
أَنزَلَ
descended
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the book
ٱلَّذِى
the one which
جَآءَ
came
بِهِۦ
with it
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa
نُورًۭا
as a light
وَهُدًۭى
and guidance
لِّلنَّاسِ
for the people;
ۖ
تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ
you make it into
قَرَاطِيسَ
writings on paper to
تُبْدُونَهَا
show from it,
وَتُخْفُونَ
while you hide
كَثِيرًۭا
much of it;
ۖ
وَعُلِّمْتُم
and (who) taught you
مَّا
what
لَمْ
not
تَعْلَمُوٓا۟
you knew
أَنتُمْ
at all,
وَلَآ
neither
ءَابَآؤُكُمْ
your forefathers?]
ۖ
قُلِ
Say,
ٱللَّهُ
[The One!]
ۖ
ثُمَّ
then
ذَرْهُمْ
leave them
فِى
in
خَوْضِهِمْ
their occupations of
يَلْعَبُونَ
time pass.
٦
٩١
وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِۦٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرٍۢ مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۗ قُلْ مَنْ أَنزَلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلَّذِى جَآءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورًۭا وَهُدًۭى لِّلنَّاسِ ۖ تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًۭا ۖ وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ ۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِى خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ And not they valued the One as is right of His value when they said, [Not has descended the One upon man of a thing.] Say, [Who descended the book the one which came with it Moosa as a light and guidance for the people; you make it into writings on paper to show from it, while you hide much of it; and (who) taught you what not you knew at all, neither your forefathers?] Say, [The One!] then leave them in their occupations of time pass.
⦿
And they measure not the power of Allah its true measure when they say: Allah hath naught revealed unto a human being. Say (unto the Jews who speak thus): Who revealed the Book which Moses brought, a light and guidance for mankind, which ye have put on parchments which ye show, but ye hide much (thereof), and (by which) ye were taught that which ye knew not yourselves nor (did) your fathers (know it)? Say: Allah. Then leave them to their play of cavilling. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They did not regard Allah with the regard due to Him when they said, [Allah has not sent down anything to any human.] Say, [Who had sent down the Book that was brought by Moses as a light and guidance for the people, which you make into parchments that you display, while you conceal much of it, and [by means of which] you were taught what you did not know, [neither] you nor your fathers?] Say, [Allah!] Then leave them to play around in their impious gossip. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They have no true respect of God when they say, [God has not sent anything to a mortal being.] (Muhammad), tell them, [Who revealed the Book containing a light and guidance for the people which Moses brought? You wrote down only some parts of the original on paper and hid much, even after having learnt from it, that which neither you nor your fathers knew.] Tell them, [God has (revealed the Quran),] and then leave them alone to pursue their useless investigations. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they do not assign to Allah the attributes due to Him when they say: Allah has not revealed anything to a mortal. Say: Who revealed the Book which Musa brought, a light and a guidance to men, which you make into scattered writings which you show while you conceal much? And you were taught what you did not know, (neither) you nor your fathers. Say: Allah then leave them sporting in their vain discourses. - Shakir, Habib

They do not make a just estimate of God, when they say, [God has not revealed anything to any human being.] Say, [Who revealed the Book which Moses brought, a light and guidance for the people, which you made into separate sheets, showing some but hiding many? You have been taught things that neither you nor your forefathers had known before.] Say, [God has sent it;] then leave them toying away with their speculation. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ان لوگوں نے واقعی خدا کی قدر نہیں کی جب کہ یہ کہہ دیا کہ اللہ نے کسی بشر پر کچھ نہیں نازل کیا ہے تو ان سے پوچھئے کہ یہ کتاب جو موسٰی علیھ السّلاملے کر آئے تھے جو نور اور لوگوں کے لئے ہدایت تھی اور جسے تم نے چند کاغذات بنادیا ہے اور کچھ حصّہ ظاہر کیا اور کچھ چھپادیا حالانکہ اس کے ذریعہ تمہیں وہ سب بتادیا گیا تھا جو تمہارے باپ دادا کو بھی نہیں معلوم تھا یہ سب کس نے نازل کیا ہے اب آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ وہ وہی اللہ ہے اور پھر انہیں چھوڑ دیجئے یہ اپنی بکواس میں کھیلتے پھریں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ان لوگوں نے اللہ کا بہت غلط اندازہ لگایا جب کہا کہ اللہ نے کسی بشر پر کچھ نازل نہیں کیا ہے ان سے پوچھو، پھر وہ کتاب جسے موسیٰؑ لایا تھا، جو تمام انسانوں کے لیے روشنی اور ہدایت تھی، جسے تم پارہ پارہ کر کے رکھتے ہو، کچھ دکھاتے ہو اور بہت کچھ چھپا جاتے ہو، اور جس کے ذریعہ سے تم کو وہ علم دیا گیا جو نہ تمہیں حاصل تھا اور نہ تمہارے باپ دادا کو، آخر اُس کا نازل کرنے والا کون تھا؟ بس اتنا کہہ دو کہ اللہ، پھر اُنہیں اپنی دلیل بازیوں سے کھیلنے کے لیے چھوڑ دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یہود نے اللہ کی قدر نہ جانی جیسی چاہیے تھی جب بولے ا لله نے کسی آدمی پر کچھ نہیں اتارا، تم فرماؤ کس نے اُتاری وہ کتاب جو موسیٰ لائے تھے روشنی اور لوگوں کے لیے ہدایت جس کے تم نے الگ الگ کاغذ بنالیے ظاہر کرتے ہو اور بہت سے چھپالیتے ہو اور تمہیں وہ سکھایا جاتا ہے جو نہ تم کو معلوم تھا نہ تمہارے باپ دادا کو، اللہ کہو پھر انہیں چھوڑ دو ان کی بیہودگی میں انہیں کھیلتا - Ahmed Raza

ان لوگوں نے اللہ کی اس طرح قدر نہیں کی جس طرح قدر کرنے کا حق تھا۔ جب انہوں نے یہ کہا کہ اللہ نے کسی بشر پر کوئی چیز نازل نہیں کی ان سے کہیے کہ وہ کتاب کس نے نازل کی تھی جسے موسیٰ لے کر آئے تھے؟ جو لوگوں کے لئے روشنی اور ہدایت (کا ذریعہ) تھی؟ جسے تم نے ورق ورق کر رکھا ہے۔ اس کا کچھ حصہ تو تم ظاہر کرتے ہو (مگر) بہت سا حصہ چھپاتے ہو۔ حالانکہ تمہیں وہ باتیں سکھائی گئیں ہیں جو نہ تمہیں معلوم تھیں اور نہ تمہارے باپ دادا کو کہیے اللہ نے (وہ کتاب نازل کی تھی)۔ پھر ان کو چھوڑ دیجیے کہ وہ اپنی بے ہودہ نکتہ چینی میں کھیلتے رہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَهَٰذَا
And this
كِتَٰبٌ
book,
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
We revealed it
مُبَارَكٌۭ
as firmly stable,
مُّصَدِّقُ
confirming
ٱلَّذِى
that which is
بَيْنَ
between
يَدَيْهِ
His hands,
وَلِتُنذِرَ
and for you to warn
أُمَّ
those who do not know of
ٱلْقُرَىٰ
the city
وَمَنْ
and whoever is
حَوْلَهَا
in its surroundings;
ۚ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones
يُؤْمِنُونَ
who are convinced
بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
regarding the forth coming
يُؤْمِنُونَ
are convinced
بِهِۦ
about it;
ۖ
وَهُمْ
and they
عَلَىٰ
upon
صَلَاتِهِمْ
their duties
يُحَافِظُونَ
are guardians.
٦
٩٢
وَهَٰذَا كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مُبَارَكٌۭ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ ۖ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ And this book, We revealed it as firmly stable, confirming that which is between His hands, and for you to warn those who do not know of the city and whoever is in its surroundings; and the ones who are convinced regarding the forth coming are convinced about it; and they upon their duties are guardians.

And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed, confirming that which (was revealed) before it, that thou mayst warn the Mother of Villages and those around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe herein, and they are careful of their worship. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Blessed is this Book, which We have sent down, confirming what was [revealed] before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are watchful of their prayers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We have blessed this Book (the Quran) and revealed it to confirm that which was revealed to the Prophets who lived before you and to warn the people of the mother land (Mecca) and those living around it. Those who believe in the Day of Judgment accept this and are steadfast in their prayers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And this is a Book We have revealed, blessed, verifying that which is before it, and that you may warn the metropolis and those around her; and those who believe in the hereafter believe in it, and they attend to their prayers constantly. - Shakir, Habib

This is a blessed Book which We have revealed, confirming what came before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and the people around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter do believe in it, and they are ever-mindful of their prayers. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہ کتاب جو ہم نے نازل کی ہے یہ بابرکت ہے اور اپنے پہلے والی کتابوں کی تصدیق کرنے والی ہے اور یہ اس لئے ہے کہ آپ مکّہ اور اس کے اطراف والوں کو ڈرائیں اور جو لوگ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں وہ اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اپنی نماز کی پابندی کرتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اُسی کتاب کی طرح) یہ ایک کتاب ہے جسے ہم نے نازل کیا ہے بڑی خیر و برکت والی ہے اُس چیز کی تصدیق کرتی ہے جو اس سے پہلے آئی تھی اور اس لیے نازل کی گئی ہے کہ اس کے ذریعہ سے تم بستیوں کے اِس مرکز (یعنی مکہ) اور اس کے اطراف میں رہنے والوں کو متنبہ کرو جو لو گ آخرت کو مانتے ہیں وہ اس کتاب پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور ان کا حال یہ ہے کہ اپنی نمازوں کی پابندی کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَمَنْ
And who
أَظْلَمُ
does more wrong
مِمَّنِ
than who
ٱفْتَرَىٰ
invents
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
كَذِبًا
a lie,
أَوْ
or
قَالَ
said
أُوحِىَ
[It is inspired
إِلَىَّ
towards me],
وَلَمْ
while not is
يُوحَ
inspired
إِلَيْهِ
to him
شَىْءٌۭ
a thing,
وَمَن
and who
قَالَ
said,
سَأُنزِلُ
[I can reveal
مِثْلَ
of something like
مَآ
what
أَنزَلَ
descended
ٱللَّهُ
the One.];
ۗ
وَلَوْ
and if
تَرَىٰٓ
you could see
إِذِ
when
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the ones in darknesses are
فِى
in
غَمَرَٰتِ
agonies of
ٱلْمَوْتِ
the death,
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikato
بَاسِطُوٓا۟
extend
أَيْدِيهِمْ
their hand, (saying),
أَخْرِجُوٓا۟
[Extract
أَنفُسَكُمُ
your psyche;
ۖ
ٱلْيَوْمَ
today
تُجْزَوْنَ
you will be rewarded
عَذَابَ
punishment of
ٱلْهُونِ
the humiliation
بِمَا
due to what
كُنتُمْ
you were
تَقُولُونَ
saying
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
غَيْرَ
of other than
ٱلْحَقِّ
the fact,
وَكُنتُمْ
and you were
عَنْ
against
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
His signs
تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
being arrogant.]
٦
٩٣
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَىْءٌۭ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ فِى غَمَرَٰتِ ٱلْمَوْتِ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُ ۖ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ And who does more wrong than who invents upon the One a lie, or said [It is inspired towards me], while not is inspired to him a thing, and who said, [I can reveal of something like what descended the One.]; and if you could see when the ones in darknesses are in agonies of the death, and the malaikato extend their hand, (saying), [Extract your psyche; today you will be rewarded punishment of the humiliation due to what you were saying upon the One of other than the fact, and you were against His signs being arrogant.]

Who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired, when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed? If thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers reach the pangs of death and the angels stretch their hands out (saying): Deliver up your souls. This day ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye spake concerning Allah other than the truth, and used to scorn His portents. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or says, [It has been revealed to me,] while nothing was revealed to him, and he who says, [I will bring the like of what Allah has sent down?] Were you to see when the wrongdoers are in the throes of death, and the angels extend their hands [saying]: [Give up your souls! Today you shall be requited with a humiliating punishment because of what you used to attribute to Allah untruly, and for your being disdainful towards His signs.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Who are more unjust than those who ascribe lies to God or say that God has sent them revelations when nothing has been sent to them, or those who say that they can also bring down (from heaven) a book like that which God has revealed? Would that you could see the unjust in the agonies of death when the angels will come forward with their hands outstretched to take their souls out of their bodies and say, [This is the day when you will face humiliating torment for the falsehood that you ascribed to God and for your contemptuously disregarding of His revelations.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah, or says: It has been revealed to me; while nothing has been revealed to him, and he who says: I can reveal the like of what Allah has revealed? and if you had seen when the unjust shall be in the agonies of death and the angels shall spread forth their hands: Give up your souls; today shall you be recompensed with an ignominious chastisement because you spoke against Allah other than the truth and (because) you showed pride against His communications. - Shakir, Habib

Who could do greater wrong than someone who invents a lie against God or who says, [It has been revealed to me,] while nothing has been revealed to him, or someone who says, [I will send down the like of what God has sent down]? If you could only see the wrongdoers in the throes of death when the angels are stretching out their hands, saying, [Give up your souls. Today you will be repaid with a humiliating punishment for saying false things about God and being arrogant about His signs.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہوگا جو خدا پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے یا اس کے نازل کئے بغیر یہ کہہ دے کہ مجھ پر وحی نازل ہوئی ہے اور جو یہ کہہ دے کہ میں بھی خدا کی طرح باتیں نازل کرسکتا ہوں اور اگر آپ دیکھتے کہ ظالم موت کی سختیوں میں ہیں اور ملائکہ اپنے ہاتھ بڑھائے ہوئے آواز دے رہے ہیں کہ اب اپنی جان نکال دو کہ آج تمہیں تمہارے جھوٹے بیانات اور الزامات پر رسوائی کا عذاب دیا جائے گا کہ تم آیات خدا سے انکار اور استکبار کررہے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُس شخص سے بڑا ظالم اور کون ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان گھڑے، یا کہے کہ مجھ پر وحی آئی ہے درآں حالیکہ اس پر کوئی وحی نازل نہ کی گئی ہو، یا جو اللہ کی نازل کردہ چیز کے مقابلہ میں کہے کہ میں بھی ایسی چیز نازل کر کے دکھا دوں گا؟ کاش تم ظالموں کو اس حالت میں دیکھ سکو جب کہ وہ سکرات موت میں ڈبکیاں کھا رہے ہوتے ہیں اور فرشتے ہاتھ بڑھا بڑھا کر کہہ رہے ہوتے ہیں کہ ——لاؤ، نکالو اپنی جان، آج تمہیں اُن باتوں کی پاداش میں ذلت کا عذاب دیا جائے گا جو تم اللہ پر تہمت رکھ کر ناحق بکا کرتے تھے اور اُس کی آیات کے مقابلہ میں سرکشی دکھاتے تھے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے یا کہے مجھے وحی ہوئی اور اسے کچھ وحی نہ ہوئی اور جو کہے ابھی میں اُتارتا ہوں ایسا جیسا اللہ نے اُتارا اور کبھی تم دیکھوں جس وقت ظالم موت کی سختیوں میں ہیں اور فرشتے ہاتھ پھیلاتے ہوئے ہیں کہ نکالو اپنی جانیں، آج تمہیں خواری کا عذاب دیا جائے گا بدلہ اس کا کہ اللہ پر جھوٹ لگاتے تھے اور اس کی آیتوں سے تکبر کرتے، - Ahmed Raza

اور اس شخص سے بڑا ظالم اور کون ہوگا جو خدا پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھے یا یہ کہے کہ مجھ پر وحی آتی ہے حالانکہ اس پر کوئی وحی نہ کی گئی ہو اور (اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے) جو کہے کہ جیسا کلام اللہ نے نازل کیا ہے ایسا میں بھی نازل کروں گا۔ (یعنی نازل کر سکتا ہوں) اے کاش! تم وہ منظر دیکھو جب کہ ظالم لوگ موت کے سکرات (سختیوں) میں ہوں گے اور موت والے فرشتے اپنے ہاتھ پھیلائے ہوئے ہوں گے (اور کہیں گے) اپنی روحوں کو ان (سکرات) سے نکالو۔ آج تمہیں ذلت آمیز عذاب کیا جائے گا تمہارے خدا کے بارے میں غلط باتیں کرنے اور اس کی آیتوں کے مقابلہ میں تکبر کرنے کی پاداش میں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
