Say: Allah delivereth you from this and from all affliction. Yet ye attribute partners unto Him.

Consider
كَيْفَ
how
نُصَرِّفُ
We make distinct
ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ
the signs,
لَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
يَفْقَهُونَ
understand.
٦
٦٥
قُلْ هُوَ ٱلْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًۭا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًۭا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Say, [He is the Most Capable upon that He induces upon you torment from above you or from below your feet, or fashions you as different groups and give a taste to some of you (from) violence of others]; Consider how We make distinct the signs, so that they may understand.

Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand.

عَلَيْكُم
towards you
بِوَكِيلٍۢ
with advocacy.]

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍۢ
And lied about it your nation while it was the fact. Say, [Not I am towards you with advocacy.]

Thy people (O Muhammad) have denied it, though it is the Truth. Say: I am not put in charge of you.

نَبَإٍۢ

there is a time for its establishment,

وَسَوْفَ
and in due time
تَعْلَمُونَ
you will come to know.

لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍۢ مُّسْتَقَرٌّۭ ۚ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
For every information there is a time for its establishment, and in due time you will come to know.

For every announcement there is a term, and ye will come to know.

And whenever
رَأَيْتَ

ٱلَّذِينَ

who are pointlessly engaged
فِىٓ

ءَايَٰتِنَا
Our signs,
فَأَعْرِضْ
then excuse yourself
عَنْهُمْ
from them
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَخُوضُوا۟
they occupy themselves
فِى
in
حَدِيثٍ
a narration
غَيْرِهِۦ
other than it;
ۚ
وَإِمَّا
and in case
يُنسِيَنَّكَ
you are made to forget Us by
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the fiend,
فَلَا
then do not
تَقْعُدْ
sit,
بَعْدَ
after
ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
the reminder,
مَعَ
with
ٱلْقَوْمِ
the people who are
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
blind followers.
٦
٦٨
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا۟ فِى حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِۦ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
And whenever you see the ones who are pointlessly engaged in Our signs, then excuse yourself from them until they occupy themselves in a narration other than it; and in case you are made to forget Us by the fiend, then do not sit, after the reminder, with the people who are blind followers.

And when thou seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers.

When you see those who gossip impiously about Our signs, avoid them until they engage in some other discourse; but if Satan makes you forget, then, after remembering, do not sit with the wrongdoing lot.

When you see people mocking Our revelations, turn away from them so that they may change the subject. If Satan causes you to forget this, do not sit with the unjust people when you remember.

And when you see those who enter into false discourses about Our communications, withdraw from them until they enter into some other discourse, and if the Shaitan causes you to forget, then do not sit after recollection with the unjust people.

اور جب تم دیکھو کہ لوگ ہماری نشانیوں کے بارے میں بے ربط بحث کررہے ہیں تو ان سے کنارہ کش ہوجاؤ یہاں تک کہ وہ دوسری بات میں مصروف ہوجائیں اور اگر شیطان غافل کردے تو یاد آنے کے بعد پھر ظالموں کے ساتھ نہ بیٹھنا

اور اے محمدؐ! جب تم دیکھو کہ لوگ ہماری آیات پر نکتہ چینیاں کر رہے ہیں تو ان کے پاس سے ہٹ جاؤ یہاں تک کہ وہ اس گفتگو کو چھوڑ کر دوسری باتوں میں لگ جائیں اور اگر کبھی شیطان تمہیں بھلاوے میں ڈال دے تو جس وقت تمہیں اس غلطی کا احساس ہو جائے اس کے بعد پھر ایسے ظالم لوگوں کے پاس نہ بیٹھو

وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ وَلَٰكِن ذِكْرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

Those who ward off (evil) are not accountable for them in aught, but the Reminder (must be given them) that haply they (too) may ward off (evil).

Those who are Godwary are in no way accountable for them, but this is merely for admonition]s sake, so that they may beware.

But those who observe piety (commit no sin) by sitting with the (unbelievers) in order to preach (the Truth) so that they, too, may become pious.

وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًۭا وَلَهْوًۭا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّۭ وَلَا شَفِيعٌۭ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍۢ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ

And forsake those who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the world beguileth. Remind (mankind) hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it earneth. It hath beside Allah no protecting ally nor intercessor, and though it offer every compensation it will not be accepted from it. Those are they who perish by their own deserts. For them is drink of boiling water and a painful doom, because they disbelieved.

(Muhammad), leave alone those to whom their religion is no more than a useless plaything and who are deceived by the lure of the worldly life. Remind them of Our revelation so that a soul will not bring about its own destruction because of its deeds. No one besides God will be its guardian or intercessor, nor will any kind of ransom be accepted from it. Those who have entangled themselves in their evil deeds will drink boiling water and live in painful torment for their hiding the Truth.

Whatever ransom they may offer, it will not be accepted. Such are those that are damned by their own actions: they will have boiling water to drink and a painful punishment for their denial of truth.

اور ان لوگوں کو چھوڑ دو جنہوں نے اپنے دین کو کھیل تماشہ بنا رکھا ہے اور انہیں زندگانی دنیا نے دھوکہ میں مبتلا کردیا ہے اور ان کو یاد دہانی کراتے رہو کہ مبادا کوئی شخص اپنے کئے کی بنا پر ایسے عذاب میں مبتلا ہوجائے کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی سفارش کرنے والا اور مدد کرنے والا نہ ہو اور سارے معاوضے اکٹھا بھی کردے تو اسے قبول نہ کیا جائے یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ان کے کرتوت کی بنا پر بلاؤں میں مبتلا کیا گیا ہے کہ اب ان کے لئے گرم پانی کا مشروب ہے اور ان کے کفر کی بنا پر دردناک عذاب ہے

چھوڑو اُن لوگوں کو جنہوں نے اپنے دین کو کھیل اور تماشا بنا رکھا ہے اور جنہیں دنیا کی زندگی فریب میں مبتلا کیے ہوئے ہے ہاں مگر یہ قرآن سنا کر نصیحت اور تنبیہ کرتے رہو کہ کہیں کوئی شخص اپنے کیے کرتوتوں کے وبال میں گرفتار نہ ہو جائے، اور گرفتار بھی اِس حال میں ہو کہ اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی حامی و مدد گار اور کوئی سفارشی اس کے لیے نہ ہو، اور گر وہ ہر ممکن چیز فدیہ میں دے کر چھوٹنا چاہے تو وہ بھی اس سے قبول نہ کی جائے، کیونکہ ایسے لوگ تو خود اپنی کمائی کے نتیجہ میں پکڑے جائیں گے، ان کو تو اپنے انکار حق کے معاوضہ میں کھولتا ہوا پانی پینے کو اور درد ناک عذاب بھگتنے کو ملے گا

چھوڑو ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے اپنے دین و مذہب کو کھیل اور تماشا بنا رکھا ہے اور انہیں دنیا کی زندگی نے دھوکہ و فریب میں مبتلا کر رکھا ہے۔ اور ان کو اس (قرآن) کے ذریعہ سے نصیحت کرو۔ ایسا نہ ہو کہ کوئی شخص اپنے کئے کے وبال میں پھنس جائے حالانکہ اللہ کے سوا اس کا نہ کوئی سرپرست ہوگا اور نہ کوئی سفارشی۔ اور اگر وہ اپنے چھٹکارے کے لیے معاوضہ دینا چاہے گا تو وہ قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو اپنے کرتوتوں کے وبال میں پھنسے ہوئے ہیں ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے ان کے پینے کے لیے کھولتا ہوا گرم پانی ہوگا اور دردناک عذاب۔

[Should we call

can profit us

nor
يَضُرُّنَا
can hurt us,
وَنُرَدُّ
and we ruin
عَلَىٰٓ
upon
أَعْقَابِنَا
our succession
بَعْدَ
after
إِذْ
when
هَدَىٰنَا
has guided us
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
كَٱلَّذِى
as the one
ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ
whom tempted
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
the shayaateen
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land
حَيْرَانَ
confounded,
لَهُۥٓ
for him
أَصْحَٰبٌۭ
being companions
يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ
calling him
إِلَى
to
ٱلْهُدَى
guidance (saying),
ٱئْتِنَا
—[Come to us]—.
ۗ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنَّ
[Surely
هُدَى
guidance of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
هُوَ
is
ٱلْهُدَىٰ
the true guidance;
ۖ
وَأُمِرْنَا
and we are commanded
لِنُسْلِمَ
for being submitters
لِرَبِّ
for Rabb of
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
all the states of being.]
٦
٧١
قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُۥٓ أَصْحَٰبٌۭ يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَى ٱئْتِنَا ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ ۖ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Say, [Should we call from beneath the One to what not can profit us nor can hurt us, and we ruin upon our succession after when has guided us the One, as the one whom tempted the shayaateen in the land confounded, for him being companions calling him to guidance (saying), —[Come to us]—. Say, [Surely guidance of the One is the true guidance; and we are commanded for being submitters for Rabb of all the states of being.]

Say: Shall we cry, instead of unto Allah, unto that which neither profiteth us nor hurteth us, and shall we turn back after Allah hath guided us, like one bewildered whom the devils have infatuated in the earth, who hath companions who invite him to the guidance (saying): Come unto us? Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah is Guidance, and we are ordered to surrender to the Lord of the Worlds,

And we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all the worlds,

Say to them, [Should we, instead of asking for God's help, seek help from that which can neither benefit nor harm us, but would only turn us back to disbelief after God had granted us guidance? To do so would be to act like (those who have been) seduced by Satan, leaving them wandering aimlessly here and there, even though their friends call them, 'Come to the right guidance that has come to us.' [ Say, [God's guidance is the only true guidance and we are commanded to submit ourselves to the Lord of the Universe.

وَأَنْ أَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
[And that establish the Order and be aware of Him; and He is the Entity towards Whom you will be collected.]

And to establish worship and be dutiful to Him, and He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered.

And He is
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity who

with the fact;
ۖ
وَيَوْمَ
and a day
يَقُولُ
He says,
كُن
— [Be] —
فَيَكُونُ
thus it starts to become;
ۚ
قَوْلُهُ
His speech is
ٱلْحَقُّ
the fact;
ۚ
وَلَهُ
and belongs to Him
ٱلْمُلْكُ
the ownership
يَوْمَ
on day
يُنفَخُ
it is blown
فِى
into
ٱلصُّورِ
Al-Soor;
ۚ
عَٰلِمُ
knower of
ٱلْغَيْبِ
the unseen,
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
and the testimony;
ۚ
وَهُوَ
and He is that who is
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Most Wise
ٱلْخَبِيرُ
the Most Informed.]

٧٣
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
And He is the Entity who created the heavens and the land with the fact; and a day He says, — [Be] — thus it starts to become; His speech is the fact; and belongs to Him the ownership on day it is blown into Al-Soor; knower of the unseen, and the testimony; and He is that who is the Most Wise the Most Informed.]

He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in truth. In the day when He saith: Be! it is. His Word is the Truth, and His will be the Sovereignty on the day when the trumpet is blown. Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, He is the Wise, the Aware.

ۖ
إِنِّىٓ
Indeed I
أَرَىٰكَ
see you
وَقَوْمَكَ
and your nation
فِى
in
ضَلَٰلٍۢ
misguidance
مُّبِينٍۢ
clearly.]

٧٤
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ
And when questioned Ibrahim from his father Azar, [Why do you take idols as gods? Indeed I see you and your nation in misguidance clearly.]

(Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods? Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.
