Say: Can ye see yourselves, if the punishment of Allah come upon you or the Hour come upon you, (calling upon other than Allah)? Do ye then call (for help) to any other than Allah? (Answer that) if ye are truthful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We have sent already unto peoples that were before thee, and We visited them with tribulation and adversity, in order that they might grow humble. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We have certainly sent [apostles] to nations before you, then We seized them with stress and distress so that they might entreat [Us]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

If only, when Our disaster came on them, they had been humble! But their hearts were hardened and the devil made all that they used to do seem fair unto them! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Why did they not entreat when Our punishment overtook them! But their hearts had hardened, and Satan had made what they had been doing seem decorous to them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Then, when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We opened unto them the gates of all things till, even as they were rejoicing in that which they were given, We seized them unawares, and lo! they were dumbfounded. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

پھر جب انہوں نے اس نصیحت کو، جو انہیں کی گئی تھی، بھلا دیا تو ہم نے ہر طرح کی خوشحالیوں کے دروازے ان کے لیے کھول دیے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ اُن بخششوں میں جو انہیں عطا کی گئی تھیں خوب مگن ہوگئے تو اچانک ہم نے انہیں پکڑ لیا اور اب حال یہ تھا کہ وہ ہر خیر سے مایوس تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب انہوں نے بھلا دیا جو نصیحتیں ان کو کی گئیں تھیں ہم نے ان پر ہر چیز کے دروازے کھول دیے یہاں تک کہ جب خوش ہوئے اس پر جو انہیں ملا تو ہم نے اچانک انہیں پکڑلیا اب وہ آس ٹوٹے رہ گئے، - Ahmed Raza

Say: Have ye imagined, if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and seal your hearts, Who is the Allah Who could restore it to you save Allah? See how We display the revelations unto them! Yet still they turn away. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Tell me, should Allah take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal on your hearts, which god other than Allah can bring it [back] to you?] Look, how We paraphrase the signs variously; nevertheless they turn away. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), ask them, [Have you ever considered that if God was to disable your hearing and vision and veil your hearts, could anyone besides Him restore them?] Look at how plainly We show them the evidence (of the Truth) but they always ignore it. - Sarwar, Muhammad

آپ ان سے پوچھئے کہ اگر خد انے ان کی سماعت و بصارت کو لے لیا اور ان کے دل پر مہر لگادی تو خدا کے علاوہ دوسرا کون ہے جو دوبارہ انہیں یہ نعمتیں دے سکے گا دیکھو ہم اپنی نشانیوں کو کس طرح الٹ پلٹ کر دکھلاتے ہیں اور پھر بھی یہ منہ موڑ لیتے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ! ان سے کہو، کبھی تم نے یہ بھی سوچا کہ اگر اللہ تمہاری بینائی اور سماعت تم سے چھین لے اور تمہارے دلوں پر مہر کر دے تو اللہ کے سوا اور کون سا خدا ہے جو یہ قوتیں تمہیں واپس دلاسکتا ہو؟ دیکھو، کس طرح ہم بار بار اپنی نشانیاں ان کے سامنے پیش کرتے ہیں اور پھر یہ کس طرح ان سے نظر چرا جاتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اے رسول کہیے غور کرکے بتاؤ کہ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے کان اور تمہاری آنکھیں لے لے (یعنی قوت شنوائی اور بینائی چھین لے) اور تمہارے دلوں پر مہر لگا دے تو اللہ کے سوا اور کون خدا ہے جو تمہیں یہ چیزیں لا دے؟ دیکھئے ہم کس طرح الٹ پلٹ کر اپنی توحید کی نشانیاں واضح کرتے ہیں پھر بھی وہ روگردانی کرتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Say: Can ye see yourselves, if the punishment of Allah come upon you unawares or openly? Would any perish save wrongdoing folk? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And not
نُرْسِلُ
We send
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
the Messengers
إِلَّا
except
مُبَشِّرِينَ
as bearers of good news
وَمُنذِرِينَ
and warners;
ۖ
فَمَنْ
thus whoever
ءَامَنَ
became sure
وَأَصْلَحَ
and took corrective measures
فَلَا
hence no
خَوْفٌ
fear
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them
وَلَا
and not
هُمْ
they are in
يَحْزَنُونَ
dismay.

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ ۖ فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ And not We send the Messengers except as bearers of good news and warners; thus whoever became sure and took corrective measures hence no fear upon them and not they are in dismay.

We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Whoso believeth and doeth right, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We do not send the apostles except as bearers of good news and warners. As for those who are faithful and righteous, they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We did not send the Messengers for any other reason than to bring (people) the glad news (of God's mercy) and to warn (them of the torment brought on by disobedience to God). Whoever accepts the faith and lives a righteous life will have nothing to fear, nor will he be grieved. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We send not apostles but as announcers of good news and givers of warning, then whoever believes and acts aright, they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. - Shakir, Habib

ہم جو رسول بھیجتے ہیں اسی لیے تو بھیجتے ہیں کہ وہ نیک کردار لوگوں کے لیے خوش خبری دینے والے اور بد کرداروں کے لیے ڈرانے والے ہوں پھر جو لوگ ان کی بات مان لیں اور اپنے طرز عمل کی اصلاح کر لیں ان کے لیے کسی خوف اور رنج کا موقع نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نہیں بھیجتے رسولوں کو مگر خوشی اور ڈر سناتے تو جو ایمان لائے اور سنورے ان کو نہ کچھ اندیشہ نہ کچھ غم، - Ahmed Raza

وَٱلَّذِينَ
And the ones who
كَذَّبُوا۟
continuously lie
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
about Our signs,
يَمَسُّهُمُ
they will feel
ٱلْعَذَابُ
the punishment
بِمَا
due to what
كَانُوا۟
they had been
يَفْسُقُونَ
taking liberties about..
And the ones who continuously lie about Our signs, they will feel the punishment due to what they had been taking liberties about..
⦿
But as for those who deny Our revelations, torment will afflict them for that they used to disobey. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But as for those who deny Our signs, the punishment shall befall them because of the transgressions they used to commit. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who reject Our revelations will certainly be punished for their evil deeds. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as for) those who reject Our communications, chastisement shall afflict them because they transgressed. - Shakir, Habib

Say,
لَّآ

I say
لَكُمْ
to you that

near me are
خَزَآئِنُ
treasures of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَلَآ
and not
أَعْلَمُ
I am knowing of
ٱلْغَيْبَ
the unseen,
وَلَآ
neither
أَقُولُ
I say
لَكُمْ
to you that
إِنِّى
I am
مَلَكٌ
a king;
ۖ
إِنْ
indeed
أَتَّبِعُ
I adhere to
إِلَّا
nothing but
مَا
what is
يُوحَىٰٓ
inspired
إِلَىَّ
towards me].
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
هَلْ
[Are
يَسْتَوِى
equal
ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ
the blind
وَٱلْبَصِيرُ
and the one who can see?
ۚ
أَفَلَا
Then why do not
تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
you think about it?]
٦
٥٠
قُل لَّآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّى مَلَكٌ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ Say, [Not I say to you that near me are treasures of the One and not I am knowing of the unseen, neither I say to you that I am a king; indeed I adhere to nothing but what is inspired towards me]. Say, [Are equal the blind and the one who can see? Then why do not you think about it?]

Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): I say not unto you (that) I possess the treasures of Allah, nor that I have knowledge of the Unseen; and I say not unto you: Lo! I am an angel. I follow only that which is inspired in me. Say: Are the blind man and the seer equal? Will ye not then take thought? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [I do not say to you that I possess the treasuries of Allah, nor do I know the Unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I follow only what is revealed to me.] Say, [Are the blind one and the seer equal? So do you not reflect?] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell them, [I do not claim to have all the treasures of God in my hands, nor to know the unseen, nor do I claim to be an angel. I follow only what is revealed to me (from God).] Say to them, [Are the blind and the seeing equal?] Why then do you not think? - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: I do not say to you, I have with me the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel; I do not follow aught save that which is revealed to me. Say: Are the blind and the seeing one alike? Do you not then reflect? - Shakir, Habib

ا ے محمدؐ! ان سے کہو، ——میں تم سے یہ نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں نہ میں غیب کا علم رکھتا ہوں، اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں میں تو صرف اُس وحی کی پیروی کرتا ہوں جو مجھ پر نازل کی جاتی ہے—— پھر ان سے پوچھو کیا اندھا اور آنکھوں والا دونوں برابر ہوسکتے ہیں؟ کیا تم غور نہیں کرتے؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرمادو میں تم سے نہیں کہتا میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ یہ کہوں کہ میں آپ غیب جان لیتا ہوں اور نہ تم سے یہ کہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں میں تو اسی کا تا بع ہوں جو مجھے وحی آتی ہے تم فر ماؤ کیا برابر ہو جائیں گے اندھے اور انکھیا رے تو کیا تم غور نہیں کرتے، - Ahmed Raza
