Say (O Muhammad): O my people! Work according to your power. Lo! I too am working. Thus ye will come to know for which of us will be the happy sequel. Lo! the wrong-doers will not be successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [O my people, act according to your ability; I too am acting. Soon you will know in whose favour the outcome of that abode will be. Indeed the wrongdoers will not be felicitous.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell your people, [I shall do whatever I can and you may do whatever you want, but you will soon know who will be victorious. It is certain that the unjust will never have happiness.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

اے محمدؐ! کہہ دو کہ لوگو! تم اپنی جگہ عمل کرتے رہو اور میں بھی اپنی جگہ عمل کر رہا ہوں، عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ انجام کار کس کے حق میں بہتر ہوتا ہے، بہر حال یہ حقیقت ہے کہ ظالم کبھی فلاح نہیں پا سکتے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ ٱلْحَرْثِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ نَصِيبًۭا فَقَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا ۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَآئِهِمْ ۗ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

They assign unto Allah, of the crops and cattle which He created, a portion, and they say: [This is Allah's] - in their make-believe - [and this is for (His) partners in regard to us.] Thus that which (they assign) unto His partners in them reacheth not Allah and that which (they assign) unto Allah goeth to their (so-called) partners. Evil is their ordinance. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They dedicate a portion to Allah out of what He has created of the crops and cattle, and say, [This is for Allah,] so do they maintain, [and this is for our partners.] But what is for their partners does not reach Allah, and what is for Allah reaches their partners. Evil is the judgement that they make. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They set aside a share of the left-overs of their farming produce and cattle saying, [This is for God and that is for the idols.] God does not receive the share of the idols but the share of God is given totally to the idols. How terrible is their decision! - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they set apart a portion for Allah out of what He has created of tilth and cattle, and say: This is for Allah-- so they assert-- and this for our associates; then what is for their associates, it reaches not to Allah, and whatever is (set apart) for Allah, it reaches to their associates; evil is that which they judge. - Shakir, Habib

They set aside for God a share in what He has produced, such as crops and livestock, and they say, [This is for God,] so they claim!, and [this is for our associate-gods?] Their associate-gods' share does not reach God, whereas God's share reaches their associate-gods. اور ان لوگوں نے خدا کی پیدا کی ہوئی کھیتی میں اور جانوروں میں اس کا حصہّ بھی لگایا ہے اور یہ اعلان کیا ہے کہ یہ ان کے خیال کے مطابق خد اکے لئے ہے اور یہ ہمارے شریکوں کے لئے ہے -اس کے بعد جو شرکائ کا حصّہ ہے وہ خدا تک نہیں جاسکتا ہے .اور جو خدا کا حصہّ ہے وہ ان کے شریکوں تک پہنچ سکتا ہے.کس قدر بدترین فیصلہ ہے جو یہ لوگ کررہے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اِن لوگوں نے اللہ کے لیے خود اُسی کی پیدا کی ہوئی کھیتیوں اور مویشیوں میں سے ایک حصہ مقرر کیا ہے اور کہتے ہیں یہ اللہ کے لیے ہے، بزعم خود، اور یہ ہمارے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں کے لیے پھر جو حصہ ان کے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں کے لیے ہے وہ تو اللہ کو نہیں پہنچتا مگر جو اللہ کے لیے ہے وہ ان کے شریکوں کو پہنچ جاتا ہے کیسے برے فیصلے کرتے ہیں یہ لوگ! - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ نے جو کھیتی اور مویشی پیدا کیے ان میں اسے ایک حصہ دار ٹھہرایا تو بولے یہ اللہ کا ہے ان کے خیال میں اور یہ ہمارے شریکوں کا تو وہ جو ان کے شریکوں کا ہے وہ تو خدا کو نہیں پہنچتا، اور جو خدا کا ہے وہ ان کے شریکوں کو پہنچتا ہے، کیا ہی برا حکم لگاتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے لیے اسی کی پیدا کی ہوئی کھیتی اور مویشیوں میں ایک حصہ مقرر کر رکھا ہے اور اپنے خیال کے مطابق کہتے ہیں کہ یہ حصہ اللہ کا ہے اور یہ ہمارے شریکوں (دیوتاؤں) کا ہے۔ جو حصہ ان کے شریکوں کا ہوتا ہے وہ تو اللہ کو نہیں پہنچتا اور جو حصہ اللہ کا ہے وہ ان کے شریکوں تک پہنچ جاتا ہے یہ لوگ کیا ہی برا فیصلہ کرتے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That is how to most of the polytheists the slaying of their children is presented as decorous by those whom they ascribe as partners [to Allah], that they may ruin them and confound their religion for them. Had Allah wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate. - Qarai, Ali Quli

To many of the pagans, the murder of their children was made to seem attractive by the idols. This led them (the pagans) to confusion in their religion and to face their own destruction. اور اسی طرح ان شریکوں نے بہت سے مشرکین کے لئے اولاد کے قتل کو بھی آراستہ کردیا ہے تاکہ ان کو تباہ و برباد کردیں اور ان پر دین کو مشتبہ کردیں حالانکہ خدا اس کے خلاف چاہ لیتا تو یہ کچھ نہیں کرسکتے تھے لہذا آپ ان کو ان کی افترا پردازیوں پر چھوڑ دیں اور پریشان نہ ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکوں کے لیے ان کے شریکوں نے اپنی اولاد کے قتل کو خوشنما بنا دیا ہے تاکہ ان کو ہلاکت میں مبتلا کریں اور ان پر ان کے دین کو مشتبہ بنا دیں اگر اللہ چاہتا تو یہ ایسا نہ کرتے، لہٰذا انہیں چھوڑ دو کہ اپنی افترا پرداز یوں میں لگے رہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یوں ہی بہت مشرکوں کی نگاہ میں ان کے شریکوں نے اولاد کا قتل بھلا کر دکھایا ہے کہ انہیں ہلاک کریں اور ان کا دین اُن پر مشتبہ کردیں اور اللہ چاہتا تو ایسا نہ کرتے تو تم انہیں چھوڑ دو وہ ہیں اور ان کے افتراء، - Ahmed Raza

And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And they say, [These cattle and tillage are a taboo: none may eat them except whom we please,] so they maintain, and there are cattle whose backs are forbidden and cattle over which they do not mention Allah]s Name, fabricating a lie against Him. Soon He will requite them for what they used to fabricate. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They, (the pagans), have said that their cattle and farms are dedicated to private idols and that no one can consume (the produce) except those whom We wanted, in their opinion. They prohibited the riding of certain animals and they ate the flesh of certain animals slaughtered without a mention of the Name of God. Instead, they ascribed falsehood to Him. They will all be given an evil recompense for their sinful invention. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they say: These are cattle and tilth prohibited, none shall eat them except such as We please-- so they assert-- and cattle whose backs are forbidden, and cattle on which they would not mention Allah's name-- forging a lie against Him; He shall requite them for what they forged. - Shakir, Habib

There are some animals they exempt from labour and some over which they do not pronounce God's name, thus committing a sin against Him. اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ جانور اور کھیتی اچھوتی ہے اسے ان کے خیالات کے مطابق وہی کھاسکتے ہیں جن کے بارے میں وہ چاہیں گے اور کچھ چوپائے ہیں جن کی پیٹھ حرام ہے اور کچھ چوپائے جن کو ذبح کرتے وقت نام خدا بھی نہیں لیا گیا اور سب کی نسبت خدا کی طرف دے رکھی ہے عنقریب ان تمام بہتانوں کا بدلہ انہیں دیا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کہتے ہیں یہ جانور اور یہ کھیت محفوظ ہیں، ا نہیں صرف وہی لوگ کھا سکتے ہیں جنہیں ہم کھلانا چاہیں، حالانکہ یہ پابندی ان کی خود ساختہ ہے پھر کچھ جانور ہیں جن پر سواری اور بار برداری حرام کر دی گئی ہے اور کچھ جانور ہیں جن پر اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے، اور یہ سب کچھ انہوں نے اللہ پر افترا کیا ہے، عنقریب اللہ انہیں ان افترا پرداز یوں کا بدلہ دے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بولے یہ مویشی اور کھیتی روکی ہوئی ہے اسے وہی کھائے جسے ہم چاہیں اپنے جھوٹے خیال سے اور کچھ مویشی ہیں جن پر چڑھنا حرام ٹھہرایا اور کچھ مویشی کے ذبح پر اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے یہ سب اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھنا ہے، عنقریب وہ انہیں بدلے دے گا ان کے افتراؤں کا، - Ahmed Raza

اور وہ اپنی خام خیالی سے کہتے ہیں کہ یہ چوپائے اور کھیت ممنوع ہیں انہیں کوئی نہیں کھا سکتا مگر وہ جسے ہم چاہیں اور جو کچھ چوپائے ہیں جن کی پشت پر سواری اور باربرداری کو حرام قرار دے دیا گیا ہے اور کچھ چوپائے ایسے ہیں جن پر وہ اللہ کا نام نہیں لیتے اور یہ سب کچھ انہوں نے اللہ پر افترا پردازی کرتے ہوئے کیا ہے عنقریب اللہ انہیں ان کی افترا پردازی کا بدلہ دے گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And they say, [That which is in the bellies of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our wives. But if it be still-born, they will all share it.] Soon He will requite them for their allegations. Indeed, He is all-wise, all-knowing. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They have also said, [Whatever exists in the wombs of these animals belongs to our people alone and it is not lawful for our women.] However, if they are born dead, then everyone will have a share. God will give them what they deserve for (their unjust laws). God is All-merciful and All-knowing. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they say: What is in the wombs of these cattle is specially for our males, and forbidden to our wives, and if it be stillborn, then they are all partners in it; He will reward them for their attributing (falsehood to Allah); surely He is Wise, Knowing. - Shakir, Habib

They say, [What is in the wombs of such and such cattle is exclusively for our males and is forbidden to our females. But if it is stillborn, they may have a share of it.] God will soon punish them for their [false] attribution. He is wise, and all-knowing. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ان چوپاؤں کے پیٹ میں جو بچے ّہیں وہ صرف ہمارے مذِدوں کے لئے ہیں اور عورتوں پر حرام ہیں -ہاں اگر مفِدار ہوں تو سب شریک ہوں گے ,عنقریب خدا ان بیانات کا بدلہ دے گا کہ وہ صاحب هحکمت بھی ہے اور سب کا جاننے والا بھی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور کہتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ ان جانوروں کے پیٹ میں ہے یہ ہمارے مردوں کے لیے مخصوص ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام، لیکن اگر وہ مُردہ ہو تو دونوں اس کے کھانے میں شریک ہو سکتے ہیں یہ باتیں جو انہوں نے گھڑ لی ہیں ان کا بدلہ اللہ انہیں دے کر رہے گا یقیناً وہ حکیم ہے اور سب باتوں کی اسے خبر ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور بولے جو ان مویشیوں کے پیٹ میں ہے وہ نرا (خالص) ہمارے مردوں کا ہے اور ہماری عورتوں پر حرام ہے، اور مرا ہوا نکلے تو وہ سب اس میں شریک ہیں، قریب ہے کہ اللہ انہیں اِن کی اُن باتوں کا بدلہ دے گا، بیشک وہ حکمت و علم والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

یقینا وہ لوگ خسارہ میں ہیں جنہوں نے حماقت میں بغیر جانے بوجھے اپنی اولاد کو قتل کردیا اور جو رزق خدا نے انہیں دیا ہے اسے اسی پر بہتان لگا کر اپنے اوپر حرام کرلیا -یہ سب بہک گئے ہیں اور ہدایت یافتہ نہیں ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

He it is Who produceth gardens trellised and untrellised, and the date-palm, and crops of divers flavour, and the olive and the pomegranate, like and unlike. وہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے طرح طرح کے باغ اور تاکستان اور نخلستان پیدا کیے، کھیتیاں اگائیں جن سے قسم قسم کے ماکولات حاصل ہوتے ہیں، زیتون اور انار کے درخت پیدا کیے جن کے پھل صورت میں مشابہ اور مزے میں مختلف ہوتے ہیں کھاؤ ان کی پیداوار جب کہ یہ پھلیں، اور اللہ کا حق ادا کرو جب اس کی فصل کاٹو، اور حد سے نہ گزرو کہ اللہ حد سے گزرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور وہی ہے جس نے پیدا کیے باغ کچھ زمین پر چھئے (چھائے) ہوئے اور کچھ بے چھئے (پھیلے) اور کھجور اور کھیتی جس میں رنگ رنگ کے کھانے اور زیتون اور انار کسی بات میں ملتے اور کسی میں الگ کھاؤ اس کا پھل جب پھل لائے اور اس کا حق دو جس دن کٹے اور بے جا نہ خرچو بیشک بے جا خرچنے والے اسے پسند نہیں، - Ahmed Raza
