وَلَا

رَبِّهِم

فَيُنَبِّئُهُم

بِمَا

كَانُوا۟

يَعْمَلُونَ

١٠٨

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدْوًۢا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

⦿

Revile not those unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return, and He will tell them what they used to do.

⦿

Do not abuse those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they should abuse Allah out of hostility, without any knowledge. That is how to every people We have made their conduct seem decorous. Then their return will be to their Lord and He will inform them concerning what they used to do.

Believers, do not say bad words against the idols lest they (pagans) in their hostility and ignorance say such words against God. We have made every nation's deeds seem attractive to them. One day they will all return to their Lord who will inform them of all that they have done.

And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did.

Do not revile those [beings] whom they invoke instead of God, lest they, in their hostility, revile God out of ignorance. Thus to every people We have caused their actions to seem fair. To their Lord they shall all return, and He will declare to them all that they have done.

اور خبردار تم لوگ انہیں برا بھلا نہ کہو جن کو یہ لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہیں کہ اس طرح یہ دشمنی میں بغیر سمجھے بوجھے خدا کو برا بھلا کہیں گے ہم نے اسی طرح ہر قوم کے لئے اس کے عمل کو آراستہ کردیا ہے اس کے بعد سب کی بازگشت پروردگار ہی کی بارگاہ میں ہے اور وہی سب کو ان کے اعمال کے بارے میں باخبر کرے گا

⦿

اور (اے ایمان لانے والو!) یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا جن کو پکارتے ہیں انہیں گالیاں نہ دو، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ یہ شرک سے آگے بڑھ کر جہالت کی بنا پر اللہ کو گالیاں دینے لگیں ہم نے اسی طرح ہر گروہ کے لیے اس کے عمل کو خوشنما بنا دیا ہے پھر انہیں اپنے رب ہی کی طرف پلٹ کر آنا ہے، اُس وقت وہ اُنہیں بتا دے گا کہ وہ کیا کرتے رہے ہیں

اور انہیں گالی نہ دو وہ جن کو وہ اللہ کے سوا پوجتے ہیں کہ وہ اللہ کی شان میں بے ادبی کریں گے زیادتی اور جہالت سے یونہی ہم نے ہر اُمت کی نگاہ میں اس کے عمل بھلے کردیے ہیں پھر انہیں اپنے رب کی طرف پھرنا ہے اور وہ انہیں بتادے گا جو کرتے تھے،

اور (خبردار) تم ان کو گالیاں نہ دو جن کو یہ اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہیں ورنہ یہ لوگ اپنی جہالت و ناسمجھی کی بنا پر حد سے گزر کر اللہ کو گالیاں دیں گے۔ اسی طرح ہم نے ہر گروہ کے عمل کو (اس کی نظروں میں) آراستہ کیا ہے۔ پھر ان کی بازگشت ان کے پروردگار کی طرف ہے پھر وہ انہیں بتائے گا جو کچھ وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔

وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌۭ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا ۚ قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْـَٔايَٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

⦿

And they swear a solemn oath by Allah that if there come unto them a portent they will believe therein. Say; Portents are with Allah and (so is) that which telleth you that if such came unto them they would not believe.

⦿

They swear by Allah with solemn oaths that were a sign to come to them they would surely believe in it. Say, [These signs are only from Allah,] and what will bring home to you that they will not believe even if they came?

- Qarai, Ali Quli

⦿

The unbelievers solemnly swear by God that if they were to be shown some miracle, they would certainly believe. (Muhammad), tell them, [Only with God are all the miracles.] Even if a miracle was to take place, they still would not believe.

⦿

And they swear by Allah with the strongest of their oaths, that if a sign came to them they would most certainly believe in it. Say: Signs are only with Allah; and what should make you know that when it comes they will not believe?

They swear a solemn oath by God that if there should come to them a sign, they will believe in it. Say, [Signs are granted only by God.] How can you tell that if a sign be given to them, they will indeed believe in it?

اور ان لوگوں نے اللہ کی سخت قسمیں کھائیں کہ ان کی مرضی کی نشانی آئی تو ضرور ایمان لے آئیں گے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ نشانیاں تو سب خدا ہی کے پاس ہیں اور تم لوگ کیا جانو کہ وہ آبھی جائیں گی تو یہ لوگ ایمان نہ لائیں گے

⦿

یہ لوگ کڑی کڑی قسمیں کھا کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ اگر کوئی نشانی ہمارے سامنے آ جائے تو ہم اس پر ایمان لے آئیں گے اے محمدؐ! ان سے کہو کہ ——نشانیاں تو اللہ کے پاس ہیں—— اور تمہیں کیسے سمجھایا جائے کہ اگر نشانیاں آ بھی جائیں تو یہ ایمان لانے والے نہیں

⦿

اور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنے حلف میں پوری کوشش سے کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آئی تو ضرور اس پر ایمان لائیں گے، م فرما دو کہ نشانیاں تو اللہ کے پاس ہیں اور تمہیں کیا خبر کہ جب وہ آئیں تو یہ ایمان نہ لائینگے

اور انہوں نے اللہ کے نام کی بڑی سخت قسمیں کھائی ہیں کہ اگر ان کی مرضی کے مطابق کوئی معجزہ ان کے پاس آجائے تو وہ ضرور ایمان لائیں گے۔ کہہ دیجیے کہ معجزہ تو بس اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے جب کوئی ایسا معجزہ آبھی جائے گا تو یہ جب بھی ایمان نہیں لائیں گے۔

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦٓ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

⦿

We confound their hearts and their eyes. As they believed not therein at the first, We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy.

We transform their hearts and their visions as they did not believe in it the first time, and We leave them bewildered in their rebellion.

We will turn their hearts and vision away (from a miracle); they did not have faith (in miracles) at the first time, and We will leave them blind in their rebellion.

And We will turn their hearts and their sights, even as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

اور ہم پھیردیتے ہیں ان کے دلوں اور آنکھوں کو جیسا وہ پہلی بار ایمان نہ لائے تھے اور انہیں چھوڑ دیتے ہیں کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکا کریں،

(تمہیں کیا خبر کہ) ہم ان کے دلوں اور آنکھوں کو پھیر دیں گے (تہہ و بالا کر دیں گے) لہٰذا جس طرح وہ اس قرآن پر پہلی مرتبہ ایمان نہیں لائے تھے اب بھی نہیں لائیں گے اور ہم انہیں چھوڑ دیں گے تاکہ یہ اپنی سرکشی میں اندھے بنے پھرتے رہیں۔

وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ قُبُلًۭا مَّا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ

⦿

And though We should send down the angels unto them, and the dead should speak unto them, and We should gather against them all things in array, they would not believe unless Allah so willed. Howbeit, most of them are ignorant.

Even if We had sent down angels to them, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered before them all things manifestly, they would [still] not believe unless Allah wished. But most of them are ignorant.

⦿

Had We sent the angels to them, made the dead speak to them, and resurrected all things before their very eyes, they still would not believe unless God willed it to be so. But, in fact, most of them ignore (the evidence).

And even if We had sent down to them the angels and the dead had spoken to them and We had brought together all things before them, they would not believe unless Allah pleases, but most of them are ignorant.

اور اگر ہم ان کی طرف ملائکہ نازل بھی کردیں اور ان سے مردے کلام بھی کرلیں اور ان کے سامنے تمام چیزوں کو جمع بھی کردیں تو بھی یہ ایمان نہ لائیں گے مگر یہ کہ خدا ہی چاہ لے لیکن ان کی اکثریت جہالت ہی سے کام لیتی ہے

اگر ہم فرشتے بھی ان پر نازل کر دیتے اور مُردے ان سے باتیں کرتے اور دنیا بھر کی چیزوں کو ہم ان کی آنکھوں کے سامنے جمع کر دیتے تب بھی یہ ایمان لانے والے نہ تھے، الا یہ کہ مشیت الٰہی یہی ہو کہ وہ ایمان لائیں، مگر اکثر لوگ نادانی کی باتیں کرتے ہیں

⦿

اور اگر ہم ان کی طرف فرشتے اُتارتے اور ان سے مردے باتیں کرتے اور ہم ہر چیز ان کے سامنے اٹھا لاتے جب بھی وہ ایمان لانے والے نہ تھے مگر یہ کہ خدا چاہتا و لیکن ان میں بہت نرے جاہل ہیں

اور اگر ہم ان کی طرف فرشتے بھی نازل کر دیں اور ان سے مردے بھی کلام کریں اور خواہ ہم ہر چیز کو ان کے سامنے لاکھڑا کر دیں تب بھی یہ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں مگر یہ کہ اللہ (اپنی قدرتِ قاہرہ سے) چاہے۔ لیکن اکثر لوگ جاہل ہیں۔

رَبُّكَ

فَعَلُوهُ

وَمَا

يَفْتَرُونَ

١١٢

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّۭا شَيَٰطِينَ ٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلْجِنِّ يُوحِى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ زُخْرُفَ ٱلْقَوْلِ غُرُورًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

⦿

Thus have We appointed unto every prophet an adversary - devils of humankind and jinn who inspire in one another plausible discourse through guile. If thy Lord willed, they would not do so; so leave them alone with their devising;

⦿

That is how for every prophet We appointed as enemy the devils from among humans and jinn, who inspire each other with flashy words, deceptively. Had your Lord wished, they would not have done it. So leave them with what they fabricate,

⦿

We have made devilish enemies for every Prophet from among people and jinn. They whisper attractive but and deceitful words to each other. Had your Lord wanted, the devils would not have seduced people. Keep away from them and the falsehood which they invent.

⦿

And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the Shaitans from among men and jinn, some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them), and had your Lord pleased they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge.

In like manner We have assigned for every prophet an opponent, Satans from among men and jinn, who make evil suggestions to each other by means of specious words in order to deceive -- had it been your Lord's will, they would not have done so; so leave them alone to their fabrication,

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر نبی کے لئے جنات و انسان کے شیاطین کو ان کا دشمن قرار دے دیا ہے یہ آپس میں ایک دوسرے کی طرف دھوکہ دینے کے لئے مہمل باتوں کے اشارے کرتے ہیں اور اگر خدا چاہ لیتا تو یہ ایسا نہ کرسکتے لہذا اب آپ انہیں ان کے افترا کے حال پر چھوڑ دیں

⦿

اور ہم نے تو اسی طرح ہمیشہ شیطان انسانوں اور شیطان جنوں کو ہر نبی کا دشمن بنایا ہے جو ایک دوسرے پر خوش آیند باتیں دھوکے اور فریب کے طور پر القا کرتے رہے ہیں اگر تمہارے رب کی مشیت یہ ہوتی کہ وہ ایسا نہ کریں تو وہ کبھی نہ کرتے پس تم اُنہیں ان کے حال پر چھوڑ دو کہ اپنی افترا پردازیاں کرتے رہیں

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر نبی کے دشمن کیے ہیں آدمیوں اور جنوں میں کے شیطان کہ ان میں ایک دوسرے پر خفیہ ڈالتا ہے بناوٹ کی بات دھوکے کو، اور تمہارا رب چاہتا تو وہ ایسا نہ کرتے تو انہیں ان کی بناوٹوں پر چھوڑ دو

اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر نبی کے لیے انسانوں اور جنوں میں سے شیطانوں کو دشمن قرار دیا ہے جو ایک دوسرے کو دھوکہ و فریب دینے کے لیے بناوٹی باتوں کی سرگوشی کرتے ہیں اور اگر آپ کا پروردگار (زبردستی) چاہتا، تو یہ ایسا نہ کرتے پس آپ انہیں اور جو کچھ وہ افترا کر رہے ہیں اسے چھوڑ دیں۔

وَلِتَصْغَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفْـِٔدَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا۟ مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَ

That the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter may incline thereto, and that they may take pleasure therein, and that they may earn what they are earning.

أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْتَغِى حَكَمًۭا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مُفَصَّلًۭا ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ

Shall I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers.

[Say,] [Shall I seek a judge other than Allah, while it is He who has sent down to you the Book, well-elaborated?] Those whom We have given the Book know that it has been sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be one of the skeptics.

(Muhammad), say, [Should I seek any judge other than God? It is He Who has revealed this Book (Quran) to you with all its intricate details.] Those to whom We have given the Bible know that the Quran has been revealed to you from your Lord in all Truth. Shall I then seek a judge other than Allah? And He it is Who has revealed to you the Book (which is) made plain; and those whom We have given the Book know that it is revealed by your Lord with truth, therefore you should not be of the disputers.

If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah's way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسْمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا ٱضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا لَّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

How should ye not eat of that over which the name of Allah hath been mentioned, when He hath explained unto you that which is forbidden unto you unless ye are compelled thereto. But lo! many are led astray by their own lusts through ignorance. Lo! thy Lord, He is Best Aware of the transgressors.

Why should you not eat that over which Allah]s Name has been mentioned, while He has already elaborated for you whatever He has forbidden you, excepting what you may be compelled to [eat in an emergency]? Indeed many mislead [others] by their fancies, without any knowledge. Indeed your Lord knows best the transgressors.

Why should you not eat such flesh when God has told you in detail what is unlawful to eat under normal conditions. Most people, out of ignorance, are led astray by their desires. Your Lord knows best those who transgress.

And what reason have you that you should not eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned, and He has already made plain to you what He has forbidden to you-- excepting what you are compelled to; and most surely many would lead (people) astray by their low desires out of ignorance; surely your Lord-- He best knows those who exceed the limits.

Why should you not eat what has been consecrated in God's name, when He has already explained to you what He has forbidden you, unless you are compelled by necessity? Surely, many mislead others by their desires through lack of knowledge. But your Lord best knows the transgressors.

اورتمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم وہ نہیں کھاتے ہو جس پر نام خدا لیا گیا ہے جب کہ اس نے جن چیزوں کو حرام کیا ہے انہیں تفصیل سے بیان کردیا ہے مگر یہ کہ تم مجبور ہوجاؤ تو اور بات ہے اور بہت سے لوگ تو اپنی خواہشات کی بنا پر لوگوں کو بغیر جانے بوجھے گمراہ کرتے ہیں .اور تمہارا پروردگار ان زیادتی کرنے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے

آخر کیا وجہ ہے کہ تم وہ چیز نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو، حالانکہ جن چیزوں کا استعمال حالت اضطرار کے سوا دوسری تمام حالتوں میں اللہ نے حرام کر دیا ہے اُن کی تفصیل وہ تمہیں بتا چکا ہے بکثرت لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ علم کے بغیر محض اپنی خواہشات کی بنا پر گمراہ کن باتیں کرتے ہیں، ان حد سے گزرنے والوں کو تمہارا رب خوب جانتا ہے

اور تمہیں کیا ہوا کہ اس میں سے نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا وہ تم سے مفصل بیان کرچکا جو کچھ تم پر حرام ہوا مگر جب تمہیں اس سے مجبوری ہو اور بیشک بہتیرے اپنی خواہشوں سے گمراہ کرتے ہیں بے جانے بیشک تیرا رب حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے،

اور تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم اس (ذبیحہ) میں سے نہیں کھاتے جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہے؟ حالانکہ اس نے جن (جانوروں) کو تم پر حرام قرار دیا ہے ان کو تمہارے لئے تفصیل سے بیان کر دیا ہے۔ سوائے اس کے جس کے کھانے کی طرف تم مضطر و مجبور ہو جاؤ (تو پھر حرام بھی کھا سکتے ہو) اور یقیناً بہت سے لوگ علم کے بغیر محض اپنی خواہشات کی بنا پر گمراہ کرتے ہیں بے شک آپ کا پروردگار حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے۔

Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
