قُلْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍۢ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًۭا وَضَلُّوا۟ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ

Say: O People of the Scripture! Stress not in your religion other than the truth, and follow not the vain desires of folk who erred of old and led many astray, and erred from a plain road.

لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ

Those of the Children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress.

The faithless among the Children of Israel were cursed on the tongue of David and Jesus son of Mary. That, because they would disobey and they used to commit transgression.

They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do!

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى ٱلْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ

⦿

Thou seest many of them making friends with those who disbelieve. Surely ill for them is that which they themselves send on before them: that Allah will be wroth with them and in the doom they will abide.

You see many of them fraternizing with the faithless. Surely evil is what they have sent ahead for their souls, as Allah is displeased with them and they shall remain in punishment [forever].

You have seen many of them establishing friendship with the unbelievers. Vile is what their souls have gained! They have invoked the wrath of God upon themselves and they will live forever in torment.

You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide.

ان میں سے اکثر کو آپ دیکھیں گے کہ یہ کفار سے دوستی کرتے ہیں-انہوں نے اپنے نفس کے لئے جو سامان پہلے سے فراہم کیا ہے وہ بہت اِرا سامان ہے جس پر خدا ان سے ناراض ہے اور وہ عذاب میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں

آج تم اُن میں بکثرت ایسے لوگ دیکھتے ہو جو (اہل ایمان کے مقابلہ میں) کفار کی حمایت و رفاقت کرتے ہیں یقیناً بہت برا انجام ہے جس کی تیاری اُن کے نفسوں نے اُن کے لیے کی ہے، اللہ اُن پر غضب ناک ہو گیا ہے اور وہ دائمی عذاب میں مبتلا ہونے والے ہیں

ان میں تم بہت کو دیکھو گے کہ کافروں سے دوستی کرتے ہیں، کیا ہی بری چیز اپنے لیے خود آگے بھیجی یہ کہ اللہ کا ان پر غضب ہوا اور وہ عذاب میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

آپ ان میں سے بہتوں کو دیکھیں گے کہ وہ اہلِ اسلام کے بالمقابل کافروں سے دوستی رکھتے ہیں بہت ہی برا ہے وہ (سامان) جو ان کے نفسوں نے ان کے لئے آگے بھیجا ہے۔ (جس سے) اللہ ان پر غضبناک ہوگیا اور وہ ہمیشہ ہمیشہ عذاب میں رہیں گے۔

وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

If they believed in Allah and the Prophet and that which is revealed unto him, they would not choose them for their friends. But many of them are of evil conduct.

Had they believed in Allah and the Prophet and what has been sent down to him, they would not have taken them for allies. But most of them are transgressors.

Had they had faith in God, the Prophet, and what was revealed to him, they would not have been the friends of the unbelievers. However, many of them are evil-doers.

اگر فی الواقع یہ لوگ اللہ اور پیغمبرؐ اور اُس چیز کے ماننے والے ہوتے جو پیغمبر پر نازل ہوئی تھی تو کبھی (اہل ایمان کے مقابلے میں) کافروں کو اپنا رفیق نہ بناتے مگر ان میں سے تو بیشتر لوگ خدا کی اطاعت سے نکل چکے ہیں

اور اگر وہ ایمان لاتے اللہ اور ان نبی پر اور اس پر جو ان کی طرف اترا تو کافروں سے دوستی نہ کرتے مگر ان میں تو بہتیرے فاسق ہیں،

اور اگر وہ خدا پر، رسول(ص) پر اور جو کچھ اس (رسول(ص)) پر نازل کیا گیا ہے۔ اس پر ایمان لاتے، تو ان کافروں کو اپنا دوست نہ بناتے۔ لیکن (بات دراصل یہ ہے کہ) ان میں سے زیادہ تر لوگ فاسق و فاجر (نافرمان) ہیں۔

يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًۭا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

⦿

Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud.

Surely You will find the most hostile of all people towards the faithful to be the Jews and the polytheists, and surely you will find the nearest of them in affection to the faithful to be those who say [We are Christians.] That is because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant.

You find Jews and pagans among the worst of the enemies of the believers. (Of the non-believers) nearest to them (the believers) in affection you find those who say, [We are Christians,] for among them are the priests and monks who are not proud.

Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists, and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly.

You will find that the bitterest in their enmity to the faithful are the Jews and the polytheists; the nearest in affection to them are those who say, [We are Christians.] That is because there are priests and monks among them; and because they are free from pride.

آپ دیکھیں گے کہ صاحبانِ ایمان سے سب سے زیادہ عداوت رکھنے والے یہودی اور مشرک ہیں اور ان کی محبت سے سب سے زیادہ قریب وہ لوگ ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نصرانی ہیں ...._ یہ اس لئے ہے کہ ان میں بہت سے قسیس اور راہب پائے جاتے ہیں اور یہ متکبر اور برائی کرنے والے نہیں ہیں

تم اہل ایمان کی عداوت میں سب سے زیادہ سخت یہود اور مشرکین کو پاؤ گے، اور ایمان لانے والوں کے لیے دوستی میں قریب تر اُن لوگوں کو پا ؤ گے جنہوں نے کہا تھا کہ ہم نصاریٰ ہیں یہ اِس وجہ سے کہ ان میں عبادت گزار عالم اور تارک الدنیا فقیر پائے جاتے ہیں اور اُن میں غرور نفس نہیں ہے

ضرور تم مسلمانوں کا سب سے بڑھ کر دشمن یہودیوں اور مشرکوں کو پاؤ گے اور ضرور تم مسلمانوں کی دوستی میں سب سے زیادہ قریب ان کو پاؤ گے جو کہتے تھے ہم نصاریٰ ہیں یہ اس لئے کہ ان میں عالم اور درویش ہیں اور یہ غرور نہیں کرتے -

اے پیغمبر(ص)! آپ اہل ایمان سے دشمنی کرنے میں سب لوگوں سے زیادہ سخت ترین دشمن یہودیوں اور مشرکوں کو پائیں گے اور اہل ایمان سے دوستی کرنے میں آپ سب سے زیادہ قریب ان لوگوں کو پائیں گے جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نصرانی ہیں یہ اس لئے ہے کہ ان میں پادری اور تارک الدنیا عابد پائے جاتے ہیں اور اس لیے کہ وہ تکبر نہیں کرتے۔

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
