تَخْتَلِفُونَ

وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّۢ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةًۭ وَمِنْهَاجًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it of the Book and as a guardian over it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires against the truth that has come to you. For each [community] among you We had appointed a code [of law] and a path, and had Allah wished He would have made you one community, but [His purposes required] that He should test you in respect to what He has given you. So take the lead in all good works. To Allah shall be the return of you all, whereat He will inform you concerning that about which you used to differ. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We have revealed the Book to you (Muhammad) in all Truth. It confirms the (original) Bible and has the authority to preserve or abrogate what the Bible contains. Judge among them by what God has revealed to you and do not follow their desires instead of the Truth which has come to you. We have given a law and a way of life to each of you. Had God wanted, He could have made you into one nation, but He wanted to see who are the more pious ones among you. Compete with each other in righteousness. All of you will return to God who will tell you the truth in the matter of your differences. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, verifying what is before it of the Book and a guardian over it, therefore judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires (to turn away) from the truth that has come to you; for every one of you did We appoint a law and a way, and if Allah had pleased He would have made you (all) a single people, but that He might try you in what He gave you, therefore strive with one another to hasten to virtuous deeds; to Allah is your return, of all (of you), so He will let you know that in which you differed; - Shakir, Habib

To every one of you We have ordained a law and a way, and had God so willed, He would have made you all a single community, but He did not so will, in order that He might try you by what He has given you. اور اے پیغمبر ہم نے آپ کی طرف کتاب نازل کی ہے جو اپنے پہلے کی توریت اور انجیل کی لَصدق اور محافظ ہے لہذا آپ ان کے درمیان تنزیل خدا کے مطابق فیصلہ کریں اور خدا کی طرف سے آئے ہوئے حق سے الگ ہوکر ان کی خواہشات کا اتباع نہ کریں .ہم نے سب کے لئے الگ الگ شریعت اور راستہ مقرر کردیا ہے اور خدا چاہتا تو سب کو ایک ہی امت بنا دیتا لیکن وہ اپنے دئیے ہوئے قانون سے تمہاری آزمائش کرنا چاہتا ہے لہذا تم سب نیکیوں کی طرف سبقت کرو کہ تم سب کی بازگشت اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے -وہاں وہ تمہیں ان تمام باتوں سے باخبر کرے گا جن میں تم اختلاف کررہے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اے محمدؐ! ہم نے تمہاری طرف یہ کتاب بھیجی جو حق لے کر آئی ہے اور الکتاب میں سے جو کچھ اس کے آگے موجود ہے اُس کی تصدیق کرنے والی اور اس کی محافظ و نگہبان ہے لہٰذا تم خدا کے نازل کردہ قانون کے مطابق لوگوں کے معاملات کا فیصلہ کرو اور جو حق تمہارے پاس آیا ہے اُس سے منہ موڑ کر ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی نہ کرو ہم نے تم میں سے ہر ایک کے لیے ایک شریعت اور ایک راہ عمل مقرر کی اگرچہ تمہارا خدا چاہتا تو تم سب کو ایک امت بھی بنا سکتا تھا، لیکن اُس نے یہ اِس لیے کیا کہ جو کچھ اُس نے تم لوگوں کو دیا ہے اس میں تمہاری آزمائش کرے لہٰذا بھلائیوں میں ایک دوسرے سے سبقت لے جانے کی کوشش کرو آخر کار تم سب کو خدا کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے، پھر وہ تمہیں اصل حقیقت بتا دے گا جس میں تم اختلاف کرتے رہے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے محبوب ہم نے تمہاری طرف سچی کتاب اتاری اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرماتی اور ان پر محافظ و گواہ تو ان میں فیصلہ کرو اللہ کے اتارے سے اور اسے سننے والے ان کی خواہشوں کی پیروی نہ کرنا اپنے پاس آیا ہوا حق چھوڑ کر، ہم نے تم سب کے لیے ایک ایک شریعت اور راستہ رکھا اور اللہ چاہتا تو تم سب کو ایک ہی امت کردیتا مگر منظور یہ ہے کہ جو کچھ تمہیں دیا اس میں تمہیں آزمائے تو بھلائیوں کی طرف سبقت چاہو، تم سب کا پھرنا اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے تو وہ تمہیں بتادے گا جس بات میں تم جھگڑتے تھے - Ahmed Raza

اور (اے رسول(ص)) ہم نے آپ کی طرف حق کے ساتھ کتاب نازل کی ہے۔ جو تصدیق کرتی ہے۔ ان (آسمانی) کتابوں کی جو اس سے پہلے موجود ہیں اور ان کی محافظ و نگہبان ہے۔ لہٰذا آپ ان کے درمیان وہی فیصلہ کریں جو اللہ نے نازل کیا ہے اور اس حق سے منہ موڑ کر جو آپ کے پاس آگیا ہے۔ ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی نہ کریں، ہم نے تم میں سے ہر ایک کے لئے ایک شریعت اور ایک راہ مقرر کی ہے اور اگر خدا (زبردستی) چاہتا، تو تم سب کو ایک ہی (شریعت) کی ایک ہی امت بنا دیتا۔ مگر وہ چاہتا ہے کہ تمہیں آزمائے (ان احکام میں) جو (مختلف اوقات میں) تمہیں دیتا رہا ہے بس تم نیکیوں میں ایک دوسرے سے بڑھنے کی کوشش کرو۔ تم سب کی بازگشت اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے، پھر وہ تمہیں آگاہ کرے گا۔ ان باتوں سے جن میں تم اختلاف کرتے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires, but beware of them lest they seduce thee from some part of that which Allah hath revealed unto thee. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's Will is to smite them for some sin of theirs. Lo! many of mankind are evil-livers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires. Beware of them lest they should beguile you from part of what Allah has sent down to you. But if they turn their backs [on you], then know that Allah desires to punish them for some of their sins, and indeed many of the people are transgressors. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), you must judge among them by what God has revealed. Do not follow their desires. Beware of their mischievous deception concerning some of the matters that God has revealed to you. If they turn away, know that what God wants is to punish them for some of their sins. Many human beings are evil-doers. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And that you should judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires, and be cautious of them, lest they seduce you from part of what Allah has revealed to you; but if they turn back, then know that Allah desires to afflict them on account of some of their faults; and most surely many of the people are transgressors. - Shakir, Habib

Judge between them by what God has sent down and do not be led by their desires. Beware of them lest they turn you away from a part of that what God has revealed to you. If they reject your judgement, know that God intends to punish them for the sins they have committed. Indeed a large number of the people are disobedient. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور پیغمبر آپ ان کے درمیان تنزیلِ خدا کے مطابق فیصلہ کریں اور ان کی خواہشات کا اتباع نہ کریں اور اس بات سے بچتے رہیں کہ یہ بعض احکام الٰہی سے منحرف کردیں -پھر اگر یہ خود منحرف ہوجائیں تو یاد رکھیں کہ خدا ان کو ان کے بعض گناہوں کی مصیبت میں مبتلا کرنا چاہتا ہے اور انسانوں کی اکثریت فاسق اور دائرسِ اطاعت سے خارج ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پس اے محمدؐ! تم اللہ کے نازل کردہ قانون کے مطابق اِن لوگوں کے معاملات کا فیصلہ کرو اور ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی نہ کرو ہوشیار رہو کہ یہ لوگ تم کو فتنہ میں ڈال کر اُس ہدایت سے ذرہ برابر منحرف نہ کرنے پائیں جو خدا نے تمہاری طرف نازل کی ہے پھر اگر یہ اس سے منہ موڑیں تو جان لو کہ اللہ نے اِن کے بعض گناہوں کی پاداش میں ان کو مبتلائے مصیبت کرنے کا ارادہ ہی کر لیا ہے، اور یہ حقیقت ہے کہ اِن لوگوں میں سے اکثر فاسق ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یہ کہ اے مسلمان! اللہ کے اتارے پر حکم کر اور ان کی خواہشوں پر نہ چل اور ان سے بچتا رہ کہ کہیں تجھے لغزش نہ دے دیں کسی حکم میں جو تیری طرف اترا پھر اگر وہ منہ پھیریں تو جان لو کہ اللہ ان کے بعض گناہوں کی سزا ان کو پہنچایا چاہتا ہے اور بیشک بہت آدمی بے حکم ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور ان کے درمیان اس کے مطابق فیصلہ کریں، جو اللہ نے تم پر نازل کیا ہے اور ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی نہ کریں اور ان سے ہوشیار رہیں کہ کہیں وہ آپ کو اللہ کے نازل کردہ کسی حکم سے بھٹکا نہ دیں اور اگر وہ روگردانی کریں، تو جان لیجیے کہ اللہ بس یہ چاہتا ہے کہ وہ انہیں ان کے بعض گناہوں کی سزا دے۔ بے شک زیادہ تر لوگ فاسق (نافرمان ہیں)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
