وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَآ إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنصِتُوا۟ ۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِىَ وَلَّوْا۟ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when We inclined toward thee (Muhammad) certain of the jinn, who wished to hear the Qur'an and, when they were in its presence, said: Give ear! and, when it was finished, turned back to their people, warning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When We dispatched toward you a team of jinn listening to the Quran, when they were in its presence, they said, [Be silent!] When it was finished, they went back to their people as warners. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We turned a party of jinn towards you to listen to the Quran. When they attended a Quranic recitation, they said to each other, [Be silent,] and, when it was over, they turned back to their people, in warning, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when We turned towards you a party of the jinn who listened to the Quran; so when they came to it, they said: Be silent; then when it was finished, they turned back to their people warning (them). - Shakir, Habib

Remember how We sent to you a band of jinn who wished to hear the Quran and as they listened to its recitation, they said to one another, [Be silent and listen,] and, then when it was finished, they went back to their people, to give them warning. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ہم نے جنات میں سے ایک گروہ کو آپ کی طرف متوجہ کیا کہ قرآن سنیں تو جب وہ حاضر ہوئے تو آپس میں کہنے لگے کہ خاموشی سے سنو پھر جب تلاوت تمام ہوگئی تو فورا پلٹ کر اپنی قوم کی طرف ڈرانے والے بن کر آگئے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(اور وہ واقعہ بھی قابل ذکر ہے) جب ہم جنوں کے ایک گروہ کو تمہاری طرف لے آئے تھے تاکہ قرآن سنیں جب وہ اُس جگہ پہنچے (جہاں تم قرآن پڑھ رہے تھے) تو انہوں نے آپس میں کہا خاموش ہو جاؤ پھر جب وہ پڑھا جا چکا تو وہ خبردار کرنے والے بن کر اپنی قوم کی طرف پلٹے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جبکہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف کتنے جن پھیرے کان لگا کر قرآن سنتے، پھر جب وہاں حاضر ہوئے آپس میں بولے خاموش رہو پھر جب پڑھنا ہوچکا اپنی قوم کی طرف ڈر سناتے پلٹے - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب ہم نے جنات کے کچھ افراد کو آپ(ص) کی طرف متوجہ کیا تاکہ وہ غور سے قرآن سنیں۔ پس وہ اس جگہ پہنچے (جہاں قرآن پڑھا جا رہاتھا) تو (آپس میں کہنے لگے) خاموش ہو کر سنو پس جب (قرآن) پڑھا جا چکا تو وہ اپنی قوم کی طرف ڈرانے والے بن کر لوٹے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

They said,
يَٰقَوْمَنَآ
[O our people!
إِنَّا
Certainly
سَمِعْنَا
we have heard
كِتَٰبًا
a book
أُنزِلَ
sent down
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مُوسَىٰ
Moosa,
مُصَدِّقًۭا
a confirmation
لِّمَا
for what is
بَيْنَ
between
يَدَيْهِ
His hands,
يَهْدِىٓ
which guides
إِلَى
towards
ٱلْحَقِّ
the fact,
وَإِلَىٰ
and towards
طَرِيقٍۢ
a path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
that is straightforward.]
٤٦
٣٠
قَالُوا۟ يَٰقَوْمَنَآ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَٰبًا أُنزِلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مُوسَىٰ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ وَإِلَىٰ طَرِيقٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ They said, [O our people! Certainly we have heard a book sent down from after Moosa, a confirmation for what is between His hands, which guides towards the fact, and towards a path that is straightforward.]

They said: O our people! Lo! we have heard a scripture which hath been revealed after Moses, confirming that which was before it, guiding unto the truth and a right road. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

کہنے لگے کہ اے قوم والو ہم نے ایک کتاب کو صَنا ہے جو موسٰی علیھ السّلام کے بعد نازل ہوئی ہے یہ اپنے پہلے والی کتابوں کی تصدیق کرنے والی ہے اور حق و انصاف اور سیدھے راستہ کی طرف ہدایت کرنے والی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے جا کر کہا، ——اے ہماری قوم کے لوگو، ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی ہے جو موسیٰؑ کے بعد نازل کی گئی ہے، تصدیق کرنے والی ہے اپنے سے پہلے آئی ہوئی کتابوں کی، رہنمائی کرتی ہے حق اور راہ راست کی طرف - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے اے ہماری قوم ہم نے ایک کتاب سنی کہ موسیٰ کے بعد اتاری گئی اگلی کتابوں کی تصدیق فرمائی حق اور سیدھی راہ دکھائی، - Ahmed Raza

Be responsive to

who calls you to
ٱللَّهِ

and be certain
بِهِۦ
about Him,
يَغْفِرْ
He forgives
لَكُم
for you
مِّن
of
ذُنُوبِكُمْ
your offenses
وَيُجِرْكُم
and your injustices
مِّنْ
from
عَذَابٍ
a punishment
أَلِيمٍۢ
that is painful.]

٣١
يَٰقَوْمَنَآ أَجِيبُوا۟ دَاعِىَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُجِرْكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ [O our nation! Be responsive to who calls you to the One and be certain about Him, He forgives for you of your offenses and your injustices from a punishment that is painful.]

O our people! respond to Allah's summoner and believe in Him. He will forgive you some of your sins and guard you from a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

قوم والو اللہ کی طرف دعوت دینے والے کی آواز پر لبیک کہو اور اس پر ایمان لے آؤ تاکہ اللہ تمہارے گناہوں کو بخش دے اور تمہیں دردناک عذاب سے پناہ دے دے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے ہماری قوم کے لوگو، اللہ کی طرف بلانے والے کی دعوت قبول کر لو اور اس پر ایمان لے آؤ، اللہ تمہارے گناہوں سے درگزر فرمائے گا اور تمہیں عذاب الیم سے بچا دے گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And whoever

يُجِبْ
responds to

ٱللَّهِ

فَلَيْسَ
then there is no
بِمُعْجِزٍۢ
miracle
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land,
وَلَيْسَ
neither are there
لَهُۥ
for him
مِن
from
دُونِهِۦٓ
beneath Him
أَوْلِيَآءُ
protectors;
ۚ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those are the ones
فِى
in
ضَلَٰلٍۢ
darkness
مُّبِينٍ
clearly.
٤٦
٣٢
وَمَن لَّا يُجِبْ دَاعِىَ ٱللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُعْجِزٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءُ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ And whoever not responds to who calls you to the One, then there is no miracle in the land, neither are there for him from beneath Him protectors; those are the ones in darkness clearly.
⦿
And whoso respondeth not to Allah's summoner he can nowise escape in the earth, and he hath no protecting friends instead of Him. Such are in error manifest. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Those who do not respond to Allah]s summoner cannot frustrate [Allah] on the earth, and they will not find any protectors besides Him. They are in manifest error. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Those who do not favorably respond to the Messenger of God should know that they cannot challenge God on earth and will not have anyone as their guardian besides Him. Such people are in plain error]. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And whoever does not accept the-Divine caller, he shall not escape in the earth and he shall not have guardians besides Him, these are in manifest error. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
But he who does not respond to God's calls can never elude [Him] on earth, nor can he have any protector against Him. Such people have clearly gone far astray.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جو بھی داعی الٰہیۤ کی آواز پر لبیک نہیں کہے گا وہ روئے زمین پر خدا کو عاجز نہیں کرسکتا ہے اور اس کے لئے خدا کے علاوہ کوئی سرپرست بھی نہیں ہے بیشک یہ لوگ کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں مبتلا ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جو کوئی اللہ کے داعی کی بات نہ مانے وہ نہ زمین میں خود کوئی بل بوتا رکھتا ہے کہ اللہ کو زچ کر دے، اور نہ اس کے کوئی ایسے حامی و سرپرست ہیں کہ اللہ سے اس کو بچا لیں ایسے لوگ کھلی گمراہی میں پڑ ے ہوئے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جو اللہ کے منادی کی بات نہ مانے وہ زمین میں قابو سے نکل کر جانے والا نہیں اور اللہ کے سامنے اس کا کوئی مددگار نہیں وہ کھلی گمراہی میں ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور جو کوئی اللہ کی طرف بلانے والے کی آواز پر لبیک نہیں کہے گا تو وہ زمین میں اللہ کو عاجز نہیں کرسکتا (اس کے قابو سے باہر نہیں نکل سکتا) اور نہ اللہ کے سوا اس کے لئے کوئی مددگار و سازگار ہے ایسے لوگ کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَلَمْ يَعْىَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۚ بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Have they not seen that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is Able to give life to the dead? Aye, He verily is Able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and [who] was not exhausted by their creation, is able to revive the dead? Yes, indeed He has power over all things. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Have they not seen that God has created the heavens and the earth and that He experienced no fatigue in doing this. He has the power to bring the dead back to life. Certainly He has power over all things. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور کیا اِن لوگوں کو یہ سجھائی نہیں دیتا کہ جس خدا نے یہ زمین اور آسمان پیدا کیے ہیں اور ان کو بناتے ہوئے جو نہ تھکا، وہ ضرور اس پر قادر ہے کہ مُردوں کو جلا اٹھائے؟ کیوں نہیں، یقیناً وہ ہر چیز کی قدرت رکھتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And on the day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (they will be asked): Is not this real? They will say: Yea, by our Lord. He will say: Then taste the doom for that ye disbelieved. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day when the faithless are exposed to the Fire, [He will say,] [Is this not a fact?] They will say, [Yes, by our Lord!] He will say, [So taste the punishment because of what you used to disbelieve.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when the disbelievers will be exposed to the fire, they will be asked, [Is this not real?] They will say, [Yes, Our Lord, it is real] He will say, [Suffer the torment for your disbelief]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And on the day when those who disbelieve shall be brought before the fire: Is it not true? They shall say: Aye! by our Lord! He will say: Then taste the punishment, because you disbelieved. - Shakir, Habib

اور جس دن یہ کفاّر جہّنم کے سامنے پیش کئے جائیں گے کہ کیا یہ حق نہیں ہے تو سب کہیں گے کہ بیشک پروردگار کی قسم یہ سب حق ہے تو ارشاد ہوگا کہ اب عذاب کا مزہ چکھو کہ تم پہلے اس کا انکار کررہے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جس روز یہ کافر آگ کے سامنے لائے جائیں گے، اُس وقت اِن سے پوچھا جائے گا ——کیا یہ حق نہیں ہے؟—— یہ کہیں گے ——ہاں، ہمارے رب کی قسم (یہ واقعی حق ہے)—— اللہ فرمائے گا، ——اچھا تو اب عذاب کا مزا چکھو اپنے اُس انکار کی پاداش میں جو تم کرتے رہے تھے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

Then have patience (O Muhammad) even as the stout of heart among the messengers (of old) had patience, and seek not to hasten on (the doom) for them. On the day when they see that which they are promised (it will seem to them) as though they had tarried but an hour of daylight. A clear message. Shall any be destroyed save evil-living folk? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day when they see what they are promised, [it will be] as though they had remained [in the world] only an hour of a day. This is a proclamation. (Muhammad), exercise patience as did the steadfast Messengers. Do not try to make them suffer the torment immediately; on the day when they will see the torment with which they were threatened, they will think that they had lived no more than an hour. پیغمبر آپ اسی طرح صبر کریں جس طرح پہلے کے صاحبان ه عزم رسولوں نے صبر کیا ہے اور عذاب کے لئے جلدی نہ کریں یہ لوگ جس دن بھی اس عذاب کو دیکھیں گے جس سے ڈرایا جارہا ہے تو ایسا محسوس کریں گے جیسے دنیا میں ایک دن کی ایک گھڑی ہی ٹہرے ہیں یہ قرآن اتمام حجت ہے اور کیا فاسقوں کے علاوہ کسی اور قوم کو ہلاک کیا جائے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پس اے نبیؐ، صبر کرو جس طرح اولوالعزم رسولوں نے صبر کیا ہے، اور ان کے معاملہ میں جلدی نہ کرو جس روز یہ لوگ اُس چیز کو دیکھ لیں گے جس کا اِنہیں خوف دلایا جا رہا ہے تو اِنہیں یوں معلوم ہو گا کہ جیسے دنیا میں دن کی ایک گھڑی بھر سے زیادہ نہیں رہے تھے بات پہنچا دی گئی، اب کیا نافرمان لوگوں کے سوا اور کوئی ہلاک ہو گا؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو تم صبر کرو جیسا ہمت والے رسولوں نے صبر کیا اور ان کے لیے جلدی نہ کرو گویا وہ جس دن دیکھیں گے جو انہیں وعدہ دیا جاتا ہے دنیا میں نہ ٹھہرے تھے مگر دن کی ایک گھڑی بھر یہ پہنچانا ہے تو کون ہلاک کیے جائیں گے مگر بے حکم لوگ - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول(ص)) آپ(ص) اسی طرح صبر کریں جس طرح اولوالعزم رسولوں(ع) نے صبر کیا ہے اور ان کیلئے جلدی نہ کریں جس دن وہ دیکھیں گے (وہ عذاب) جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جا رہا ہے تو وہ محسوس کریں گے کہ وہ (دنیا میں) دن کی ایک گھڑی سے زیادہ نہیں رہے۔ بس یہ پیغام پہنچا دینا ہے۔ انجامِ کار ہلاک و برباد وہی ہوں گے جو فاسق و فاجر ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
