عَلَيْهَا

وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًۭا مِّن فِضَّةٍۢ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Were it not [for the danger] that mankind would be one community, We would have made for those who defy the All-beneficent, silver roofs for their houses and [silver] stairways by which they ascend, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Were it not for the fear that all people would become one in disbelief, We would have made for the disbelievers in the Beneficent God ceilings out of silver and ladders by which they would climb up, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend. - Shakir, Habib

And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and ornaments of gold; yet all that would be nothing but the wares of the life of this world, and the Hereafter is for the Godwary near your Lord. - Qarai, Ali Quli

And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We assign a devil to be the companion of him who turns a blind eye to the remembrance of the All-beneficent. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We shall make satan the companion of whoever ignores the remembrance of the Beneficent God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. - Shakir, Habib

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When he comes to Us, he will say, [I wish there had been between me and you the distance between the east and the west! What an evil companion [you are]!] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
When he returns to us, he will say (to satan), [Would that there had been as long a distance between me and you as that between the East and West. What a terrible companion you have been]. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! - Shakir, Habib

When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], [If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارے پاس آئیں گے تو کہیں گے کہ اے کاش ہمارے اور ان کے درمیان مشرق و مغرب کا فاصلہ ہوتا یہ تو بڑا بدترین ساتھی نکلا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Certainly We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his elite. He said, [I am indeed an apostle of the Lord of all the worlds.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And they said: O wizard! Entreat thy Lord for us by the pact that He hath made with thee. Lo! we verily will walk aright. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They would say, [O magician! Invoke your Lord for us by the covenant He has made with you [to remove this scourge]. We will indeed be guided [when it is removed].] - Qarai, Ali Quli

And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

When Jesus came with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), he said: I have come unto you with wisdom, and to make plain some of that concerning which ye differ. So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Jesus brought those manifest proofs, he said, [I have certainly brought you wisdom, and [I have come] to make clear to you some of the things that you differ about. So be wary of Allah and obey me. - Qarai, Ali Quli

اور جب عیسیٰؑ صریح نشانیاں لیے ہوئے آیا تھا تو اس نے کہا تھا کہ ——میں تم لوگوں کے پاس حکمت لے کر آیا ہوں، اور اس لیے آیا ہوں کہ تم پر بعض اُن باتوں کی حقیقت کھول دوں جن میں تم اختلاف کر رہے ہو، لہٰذا تم اللہ سے ڈرو اور میری اطاعت کرو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
