And We delivered those who believed and used to keep their duty to Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And (make mention of) the day when the enemies of Allah are gathered unto the Fire, they are driven on - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day the enemies of Allah are marched out toward the Fire, while they are in check, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Till, when they reach it, their ears and their eyes and their skins testify against them as to what they used to do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And they say unto their skins: Why testify ye against us? They say: Allah hath given us speech Who giveth speech to all things, and Who created you at the first, and unto Whom ye are returned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They will say to their skins, [Why did you bear witness against us?] They will say, [We were given speech by Allah, who gave speech to all things. He created you the first time, and you are being brought back to Him. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will ask their own skin, [Why did you testify against us?] They will reply, [God, who has made everything speak, made us also speak. It was He Who created you in the first place and to Him you have returned. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they shall say to their skins: Why have you borne witness against us? They shall say: Allah Who makes everything speak has made us speak, and He created you at first, and to Him you shall be brought back. - Shakir, Habib

Ye did not hide yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should testify against you, but ye deemed that Allah knew not much of what ye did. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

You did not use to conceal yourselves [while perpetrating sinful acts] lest your hearing, your eyes, or your skins should bear witness against you, but you thought that Allah did not know most of what you did. - Qarai, Ali Quli

وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَىٰكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That misjudgement, which you entertained about your Lord ruined you. So you became losers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

This was how you considered your Lord, but He knows you better than you know yourselves. Thus, you are now lost]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones. - Shakir, Habib

but these thoughts which you entertained concerning your Lord, have brought you to destruction, and [now] you are among the utterly lost!] - Wahiduddin Khan

فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًۭى لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And though they are resigned, yet the Fire is still their home; and if they ask for favour, yet they are not of those unto whom favour can be shown. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Should they be patient, the Fire is their abode; and should they seek to propitiate [Allah], they will not be redeemed. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Even if they were to exercise patience, their dwelling would still be hell fire. Even if they were to seek favors, they would receive none. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then if they will endure, still the fire is their abode, and if they ask for goodwill, then are they not of those who shall be granted goodwill. - Shakir, Habib

Even if they are patient, the Fire will still be their homes. And if they pray to be allowed to make amends, they will not be allowed to do so. - Wahiduddin Khan

اب اگر یہ برداشت کریں تو بھی ان کا ٹھکانا جہّنم ہے اور اگر معذرت کرنا چاہیں تو بھی معذرت قبول نہیں کی جائے گی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اس حالت میں وہ صبر کریں (یا نہ کریں) آگ ہی ان کا ٹھکانا ہو گی، اور اگر رجوع کا موقع چاہیں گے تو کوئی موقع انہیں نہ دیا جائے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر اگر وہ صبر کریں تو آگ ان کا ٹھکانا ہے اور اگر وہ منانا چاہیں تو کوئی ان کا منانا نہ مانے، - Ahmed Raza

پس اب اگر وہ صبر کریں بھی تو ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے اور اگر وہ (خدا کو) راضی کرنا چاہیں تو وہ ان لوگوں میں سے نہیں ہوں گے جن پر (اللہ) راضی ہوا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوا۟ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍۢ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And We assigned them comrades (in the world), who made their present and their past fairseeming unto them. And the Word concerning nations of the jinn and humankind who passed away before them hath effect for them. Lo! they were ever losers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We have assigned them companions who make their present [conduct] and future [state] seem decorous to them, and the word became due against them along with the nations of jinn and humans that passed away before them. They were indeed losers. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We assigned for them companions who would make their past and present (deeds) seem attractive to them. Thus, they became subject to what the jinn and human beings before were destined to suffer. They were certainly lost. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We have appointed for them comrades so they have made fair-seeming to them what is before them and what is behind them, and the word proved true against them-- among the nations of the jinn and the men that have passed away before them-- that they shall surely be losers. - Shakir, Habib

ہم نے ان پر ایسے ساتھی مسلط کر دیے تھے جو انہیں آگے اور پیچھے ہر چیز خوشنما بنا کر دکھاتے تھے، آخر کار اُن پر بھی وہی فیصلہ عذاب چسپاں ہو کر رہا جو ان سے پہلے گزرے ہوئے جنوں اور انسانوں کے گروہوں پر چسپاں ہو چکا تھا، یقیناً وہ خسارے میں رہ جانے والے تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے ان پر کچھ ساتھی تعینات کیے انہوں نے انہیں بھلا کردیا جو ان کے آگے ہے اور جو ان کے پیچھے اور ان پر بات پوری ہوئی ان گروہوں کے ساتھ جو ان سے پہلے گزر چکے جن اور آدمیوں کے، بیشک وہ زیاں کار تھے، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے ان کے لئے کچھ ساتھی مقرر کر دیئے ہیں جنہوں نے ان کے اگلے اور پچھلے (کرتوتوں کو) خوشنما بنا دیا اور ان پر وہی بات ثابت ہوگئی (عذابِ الٰہی) جو جِنوں اور انسانوں کے ان گروہوں پر ثابت ہے جو ان سے پہلے گزر چکے تھے بے شک وہ سب نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے تھے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Those who disbelieve say: Heed not this Qur'an, and drown the hearing of it; haply ye may conquer. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The faithless say, [Do not listen to this Quran and hoot it down so that you may prevail [over the Apostle].] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The disbelievers say, [Do not listen to this Quran but make a lot of unnecessary noise while it is being read so that perhaps you will defeat it]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And those who disbelieve say: Do not listen to this Quran and make noise therein, perhaps you may overcome. - Shakir, Habib

اور کفاّر آپس میں کہتے ہیں کہ اس قرآن کو ہرگز مت سنو اور اس کی تلاوت کے وقت ہنگامہ کرو شاید اسی طرح ان پر غالب آجاؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَذَابًۭا شَدِيدًۭا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

But verily We shall cause those who disbelieve to taste an awful doom, and verily We shall requite them the worst of what they used to do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We will surely make the faithless taste a severe punishment, and We will surely requite them by the worst of what they used to do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We shall certainly make the unbelievers suffer severe torment and will punish them far worse than what they deserve for their deeds. - Sarwar, Muhammad

ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ أَعْدَآءِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ۖ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

That is the reward of Allah's enemies: the Fire. Therein is their immortal home, payment forasmuch as they denied Our revelations. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That is the requital of the enemies of Allah—the Fire! In it, they will have an everlasting abode, as a requital for their impugning Our signs. - Qarai, Ali Quli
