إِنَّآ

نُوحٍۢ

وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

١٦٣

إِنَّآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ كَمَآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ ۚ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَٱلْأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَىٰ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَٰرُونَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ ۚ وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُورًۭا

Lo! We inspire thee as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him, as We inspired Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as We imparted unto David the Psalms;

اے محمدؐ! ہم نے تمہاری طرف اُسی طرح وحی بھیجی ہے جس طرح نوحؑ اور اس کے بعد کے پیغمبروں کی طرف بھیجی تھی ہم نے ابراہیمؑ، اسماعیلؑ، اسحاقؑ، یعقوبؑ اور اولاد یعقوبؑ، عیسیٰؑ، ایوبؑ، یونسؑ، ہارونؑ اور سلیمانؑ کی طرف وحی بھیجی ہم نے داؤدؑ کو زبور دی

بیشک اے محبوب! ہم نے تمہاری طرف وحی بھیجی جیسے دحی نوح اور اس کے بعد پیغمبروں کو بھیجی اور ہم نے ابراہیم اور اسمٰعیل اور اسحاق اور یعقوب اور ان کے بیٹوں اور عیسیٰ اور ایوب اور یونس اور ہارون اور سلیمان کو وحی کی اور ہم نے داؤد کو زبور عطا فرمائی

وَرُسُلًۭا قَدْ قَصَصْنَٰهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَرُسُلًۭا لَّمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَ ۚ وَكَلَّمَ ٱللَّهُ مُوسَىٰ تَكْلِيمًۭا

⦿

And messengers We have mentioned unto thee before and messengers We have not mentioned unto thee; and Allah spake directly unto Moses;

and apostles We have recounted to you earlier and apostles We have not recounted to you—and to Moses Allah spoke directly—

(We sent revelations to) the Messengers mentioned to you before and also to Messengers who have not been mentioned to you. God spoke to Moses in words.

And (We sent) apostles We have mentioned to you before and apostles we have not mentioned to you; and to Musa, Allah addressed His Word, speaking (to him):

We have told you about some messengers sent previously, while We have not yet told you about others. God spoke to Moses directly.

کچھ رسول ہیں جن کے قصے ّہم آپ سے بیان کرچکے ہیں اور کچھ رسول ہیں جن کا تذکرہ ہم نے نہیں کیا ہے اور اللہ نے موسٰی علیھ السّلام سے باقاعدہ گفتگو کی ہے

ہم نے اُن رسولوں پر بھی وحی نازل کی جن کا ذکر ہم اِس سے پہلے تم سے کر چکے ہیں اور اُن رسولوں پر بھی جن کا ذکر تم سے نہیں کیا ہم نے موسیٰؑ سے اِس طرح گفتگو کی جس طرح گفتگو کی جاتی ہے

اور رسولوں کو جن کا ذکر آگے ہم تم سے فرماچکے اور ان رسولوں کو جن کا ذکر تم سے نہ فرمایا اور اللہ نے موسیٰ سے حقیقتاً کلام فرمایا

رُّسُلًۭا مُّبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ حُجَّةٌۢ بَعْدَ ٱلرُّسُلِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًۭا

⦿

Messengers of good cheer and of warning, in order that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the messengers. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise.

apostles, as bearers of good news and warners, so that mankind may not have any argument against Allah, after the [sending of the] apostles; and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise.

The Messengers were sent to give people the glad news (of God's mercy) and warn them (of His punishment) so that the human being would not have any objections against God, after the coming of the Messengers, (that they did not have any knowledge of His mercy and punishment). God is Majestic and All-wise.

(We sent) apostles as the givers of good news and as warners, so that people should not have a plea against Allah after the (coming of) apostles; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

یہ سارے رسول خوش خبری دینے والے اور ڈرانے والے بنا کر بھیجے گئے تھے تاکہ اُن کو مبعوث کردینے کے بعد لوگوں کے پاس اللہ کے مقابلہ میں کوئی حجت نہ رہے اور اللہ بہرحال غالب رہنے والا اور حکیم و دانا ہے

رسول خوشخبری دیتے اور ڈر سناتے کہ رسولوں کے بعد اللہ کے یہاں لوگوں کو کوئی عذر نہ رہے اور اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے،

لَّٰكِنِ ٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ أَنزَلَهُۥ بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۖ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًا

⦿

But Allah (Himself) testifieth concerning that which He hath revealeth unto thee; in His knowledge hath He revealed it; and the angels also testify. And Allah is sufficient Witness.

But Allah bears witness to what He has sent down to you—He sent it down with His knowledge—and the angels bear witness [too], and Allah quite suffices as witness.

God testifies that whatever He has revealed to you (Muhammad) He has revealed it on purpose and the angels also testify to it but God's testimony alone is Sufficient.

یہ مانیں یا نہ مانیں)لیکن خدا نے جو کچھ آپ پر نازل کیا ہے وہ خود اس کی گواہی دیتا ہے کہ اس نے اسے اپنے علم سے نازل کیا ہے اور ملائکہ بھی گواہی دیتے ہیں اور خدا خود بھی شہادت کے لئے کافی ہے

(لوگ نہیں مانتے تو نہ مانیں) مگر اللہ گواہی دیتا ہے کہ جو کچھ اُس نے تم پر نازل کیا ہے اپنے علم سے نازل کیا ہے، اور اِس پر ملائکہ بھی گواہ ہیں اگرچہ اللہ کا گواہ ہونا بالکل کفایت کرتا ہے

لیکن اے محبوب! اللہ اس کا گواہ ہے جو اس نے تمہاری طرف اتارا وہ اس نے اپنے علم سے اتارا ہے اور فرشتے گواہ ہیں اور اللہ کی گواہی کافی،

The Weak [ 4:167 ] النساء

إِنَّ

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

the ones who

كَفَرُوا۟

are in denial,

وَصَدُّوا۟

and stop

عَن

from

سَبِيلِ

way of

ٱللَّهِ

the One,

قَدْ

surely

ضَلُّوا۟

have strayed into

ضَلَٰلًۢا

darkness

بَعِيدًا

deeply.

١٦٧

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ ضَلَٰلًۢا بَعِيدًا

Indeed the ones who are in denial, and stop from way of the One, surely have strayed into darkness deeply.

Lo! those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray.

Indeed those who are faithless and bar [others] from the way of Allah, have certainly strayed into far error.

Those who have rejected the faith and have obstructed people from the way of God, have certainly gone far away from the right path.

Surely (as for) those who disbelieve and hinder (men) from Allah's way, they indeed have strayed off into a remote

Lo! those who disbelieve and deal in wrong, Allah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a road,

Indeed those who are faithless and do wrong, Allah shall never forgive them, nor shall He guide them to any way,

God will not forgive those who have rejected the faith and committed injustice, nor will He guide them to any way

ا ِس طرح جن لوگوں نے کفر و بغاوت کا طریقہ اختیار کیا اور ظلم وستم پر اتر آئے اللہ ان کو ہرگز معاف نہ کرے گا اور انہیں کوئی راستہ،

بیشک جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور حد سے بڑھے اللہ ہرگز انہیں نہ بخشے گا اور نہ انہیں کوئی راہ دکھائے،

Except the road of hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allah.

جَآءَكُمُ

has come to you

ٱلرَّسُولُ

the messenger

بِٱلْحَقِّ

with the facts

مِن

from

رَّبِّكُمْ

your Rabb,

فَـَٔامِنُوا۟

so having peace of mind

خَيْرًۭا

is better

لَّكُمْ

for you.

وَإِن

And if

تَكْفُرُوا۟

you deny,

فَإِنَّ

then indeed

لِلَّهِ

belongs to the One

مَا

what is

فِى

within

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

and the Earth,

وَكَانَ

and has been

ٱللَّهُ

the One

عَلِيمًا

a knowledgeful

حَكِيمًۭا

judge.

١٧٠

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِٱلْحَقِّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَـَٔامِنُوا۟ خَيْرًۭا لَّكُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَكْفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًۭا

O you of the people! Surely has come to you the messenger with the facts from your Rabb, so having peace of mind is better for you. And if you deny, then indeed belongs to the One what is within the heavens and the Earth, and has been the One a knowledgeful judge.

O mankind! The messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefor believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise.

اے لوگو! تمہارے پاس یہ رسول حق کے ساتھ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تشریف لائے تو ایمان لاؤ اپنے بھلے کو اور اگر تم کفر کرو تو بیشک اللہ ہی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،

يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ ۚ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ أَلْقَىٰهَآ إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌۭ مِّنْهُ ۖ فَـَٔامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ ثَلَٰثَةٌ ۚ ٱنتَهُوا۟ خَيْرًۭا لَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌۭ ۘ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلًۭا

O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not [Three] - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.

O People of the Book! Do not exceed the bounds in your religion, and do not attribute anything to Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only an apostle of Allah, and His Word that He cast toward Mary and a spirit from Him. So have faith in Allah and His apostles, and do not say, [[God is] a trinity.] Relinquish [such a creed]! That is better for you. Allah is but the One God. He is far too immaculate to have any son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah suffices as trustee.

People of the Book, do not exceed the limits of devotion in your religion or say anything about God which is not the Truth. Jesus, son of Mary, is only a Messenger of God, His Word, and a spirit from Him whom He conveyed to Mary. So have faith in God and His Messengers. Do not say that there are three gods. It is better for you to stop believing in the Trinity. There is only One God. He is too glorious to give birth to a son. To God belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. God alone is a Sufficient Guardian for all.

O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His apostles, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one Allah; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector.

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And God is sufficient as a guardian.

اے اہل کتاب اپنے دین میں حد سے تجاوز نہ کرو اور خدا کے بارے میں حق کے علاوہ کچھ نہ کہو ---مسیح عیسٰی علیھ السّلام بن مریم صرف اللہ کے رسول اور اس کا کلمہ ہیں جسے مریم کی طرف القائ کیا گیا ہے اور وہ اس کی طرف سے ایک روح ہیں لہذا خدا اور مرسلین پر ایمان لے آؤ اور خبردار تین کا نام بھی نہ لو -اس سے باز آجاؤ کہ اسی میں بھلائی ہے -اللہ فقط خدائے واحد ہے اور وہ اس بات سے منزہ ہے کہ اس کا کوئی بیٹا ہو ,زمین و آسمان میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے اور وہ کفالت و وکالت کے لئے کافی ہے

اے اہل کتاب! اپنے دین میں غلو نہ کرو اور اللہ کی طرف حق کے سوا کوئی بات منسوب نہ کرو مسیح عیسیٰ ابن مریم اس کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا کہ اللہ کا ایک رسول تھا اور ایک فرمان تھا جو اللہ نے مریم کی طرف بھیجا اور ایک روح تھی اللہ کی طرف سے (جس نے مریم کے رحم میں بچہ کی شکل اختیار کی) پس تم اللہ اور اُ س کے رسولوں پر ایمان لاؤ اور نہ کہو کہ ——تین—— ہیں باز آ جاؤ، یہ تمہارے ہی لیے بہتر ہے اللہ تو بس ایک ہی خدا ہے وہ بالا تر ہے اس سے کہ کوئی اس کا بیٹا ہو زمین اور آسمانوں کی ساری چیزیں اس کی مِلک ہیں، اور ان کی کفالت و خبر گیری کے لیے بس وہی کافی ہے

اے کتاب والو! اپنے دین میں زیادتی نہ کرو اور اللہ پر نہ کہو مگر سچ مسیح عیسیٰ مریم کا بیٹا ا لله کا رسول ہی ہے اور اس کا ایک کلمہ کہ مریم کی طرف بھیجا اور اس کے یہاں کی ایک روح تو اللہ اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لاؤ اور تین نہ کہو باز رہو اپنے بھلے کو اللہ تو ایک ہی خدا ہے پاکی اُسے اس سے کہ اس کے کوئی بچہ ہو اسی کا مال ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے اور اللہ کافی کارساز،

لَّن يَسْتَنكِفَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ أَن يَكُونَ عَبْدًۭا لِّلَّهِ وَلَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَسْتَنكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعًۭا

⦿

The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him;

The Messiah would never disdain being a servant of Allah, nor would the angels brought near [to Him]. And whoever disdains His worship and is arrogant, He will gather them all toward Him.

Jesus never disdained the worship of God nor did the nearest angels to God. Whoever, out of pride, disdains the worship of God should know that everyone will be brought before Him.

The Messiah does by no means disdain that he should be a servant of Allah, nor do the angels who are near to Him, and whoever disdains His service and is proud, He will gather them all together to Himself.

Surely, the Messiah would never disdain to be accounted a servant of God. Nor would the angels who are nearest to Him. If any do disdain to worship Him, and grow arrogant, He will in any case gather them all before Him.

مسیح نے کبھی اس بات کو عار نہیں سمجھا کہ وہ اللہ کا بندہ ہو، اور نہ مقرب ترین فرشتے اِس کو اپنے لیے عار سمجھتے ہیں اگر کوئی اللہ کی بندگی کو اپنے لیے عار سمجھتا ہے اور تکبر کرتا ہے تو ایک وقت آئے گا جب اللہ سب کو گھیر کر اپنے سامنے حاضر کرے گا

مسیح اللہ کا بندہ بننے سے کچھ نفرت نہیں کرتا اور نہ مقرب فرشتے اور جو اللہ کی بندگی سے نفرت اور تکبر کرے تو کوئی دم جاتا ہے کہ وہ ان سب کو اپنی طرف ہانکے گا

نَصِيرًۭا

١٧٣

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَنكَفُوا۟ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّۭا وَلَا نَصِيرًۭا

Then, as for those who believed and did good works, unto them will He pay their wages in full, adding unto them of His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, them will He punish with a painful doom. And they will not find for them, against Allah, any protecting friend or helper.

As for those who have faith and do righteous deeds, He will pay them in full their rewards, and He will enhance them out of His grace. But those who are disdainful and arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find besides Allah any guardian or helper.

The righteously striving believers will receive the reward for their deeds and extra favors from God. But those who disdain the worship of God out of pride will suffer the most painful torment. They will find no guardian or helper besides God.

Then as for those who believe and do good, He will pay them fully their rewards and give them more out of His grace; and as for those who disdain and are proud, He will chastise them with a painful chastisement. And they shall not find for themselves besides Allah a guardian or a helper

Those who believe and do good works will be fully recompensed by Him. And He will give them yet more out of His bounty; and as for those who were disdainful and proud, He will punish them with a painful punishment. And they will not find anyone to help or protect them against God.

پھر جو لوگ ایمان لے آئے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے انہیں مکمل اجر دے گا اور اپنے فضل و کرم سے اضافہ بھی کردے گا اور جن لوگوں نے انکار اور تکّبرسے کام لیا ہے ان پر دردناک عذاب کرے گا اور انہیں خدا کے علاوہ نہ کوئی سرپرست ملے گا اور نہ مددگار

اُس وقت وہ لوگ جنہوں نے ایمان لا کر نیک طرز عمل اختیار کیا ہے اپنے اجر پورے پورے پائیں گے اور اللہ اپنے فضل سے ان کو مزید اجر عطا فرمائے گا، اور جن لوگوں نے بندگی کو عار سمجھا اور تکبر کیا ہے اُن کو اللہ دردناک سزا دے گا اور اللہ کے سوا جن جن کی سرپرستی و مددگاری پر وہ بھروسہ رکھتے ہیں ان میں سے کسی کو بھی وہ وہاں نہ پائیں گے

تو وہ جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کی مزدوری انہیں بھرپور دے کر اپنے فضل سے انہیں اور زیادہ دے گا اور وہ جنہوں نے نفرت اور تکبر کیا تھا انہیں دردناک سزا دے گا اور اللہ کے سوا نہ اپنا کوئی حمایتی پائیں گے نہ مددگار،

پھر جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہوں گے اور نیک عمل کئے ہوں گے انہیں ان کا پورا پورا صلہ و ثواب دے گا اور اپنے فضل و کرم سے انہیں مزید بھی عطا فرمائے گا۔ اور جنہوں نے (اس کی بندگی سے) ننگ و عار محسوس کیا ہوگا اور تکبر کیا ہوگا ان کو دردناک عذاب کی سزا دے گا۔ اور وہ اللہ کے سوا نہ کوئی سرپرست پائیں گے اور نہ کوئی یار و مددگار۔

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
