Nor
ٱلشَّمْسُ
the Sun
يَنۢبَغِى
seeks
لَهَآ
for itself
أَن
that
تُدْرِكَ
(it) overtakes
ٱلْقَمَرَ
the Moon,
وَلَا
and neither
ٱلَّيْلُ
the night
سَابِقُ
outruns
ٱلنَّهَارِ
the day-burst,
ۚ
وَكُلٌّۭ
and all
فِى
in
فَلَكٍۢ
(sort of) a swimming pool of space and time
يَسْبَحُونَ
are swimming.

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّۭ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ Nor the Sun seeks for itself that (it) overtakes the Moon, and neither the night outruns the day-burst, and all in (sort of) a swimming pool of space and time are swimming.

And a sign

We carried
ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ
their progenies

ٱلْفُلْكِ
a pool (Amniotic sac)
ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
as freightage.
And a sign for them is that We carried their progenies in a pool (Amniotic sac) as freightage.

عَنْهَا
against it
مُعْرِضِينَ
full of excuses.
And not comes to them of a sign from signs of their Rabb, except they were against it full of excuses.

And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور جب اِن سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ نے جو رزق تمہیں عطا کیا ہے اُس میں سے کچھ اللہ کی راہ میں بھی خرچ کرو تو یہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا ہے ایمان لانے والوں کو جواب دیتے ہیں ——کیا ہم اُن کو کھلائیں جنہیں اگر اللہ چاہتا تو خود کھلا دیتا؟ تم تو بالکل ہی بہک گئے ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala
