رَبَّنَآ
[Our Rabb!
إِنَّكَ
You certainly are to
جَامِعُ
collect
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
لِيَوْمٍۢ
for a day,
لَّا
no
رَيْبَ
doubt
فِيهِ
in it;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
لَا
not
يُخْلِفُ
goes back on
ٱلْمِيعَادَ
the promise.] —
٣
٩
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ ٱلنَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍۢ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ [Our Rabb! You certainly are to collect the people for a day, no doubt in it; surely the One not goes back on the promise.] —
⦿
Our Lord! Lo! it is Thou Who gatherest mankind together to a Day of which there is no doubt. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Our Lord! You will indeed gather mankind on a day in which there is no doubt. Indeed Allah does not break His promise.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Lord, it is certain that one day You will gather all the people together. God does not break His promise.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Our Lord! surely Thou art the Gatherer of men on a day about which there is no doubt; surely Allah will not fail (His) promise. - Shakir, Habib

خدایا تو تمام انسانوں کو اس دن جمع کرنے والا ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں ہے. اور اللہ کا وعدہ غلط نہیں ہوتا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پروردگار! تو یقیناً سب لوگوں کو ایک روز جمع کرنے والا ہے، جس کے آنے میں کوئی شبہ نہیں تو ہرگز اپنے وعدے سے ٹلنے والا نہیں ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

إِنَّ
Surely
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial
لَن
never shall
تُغْنِىَ
be sufficient
عَنْهُمْ
for them
أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ
their belongings,
وَلَآ
neither
أَوْلَٰدُهُم
their offsprings
مِّنَ
against
ٱللَّهِ
the One
شَيْـًۭٔا
of a thing,
ۖ
وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
and they
هُمْ
are
وَقُودُ
fuel of
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire.
٣
١٠
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَن تُغْنِىَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ Surely the ones who are in denial never shall be sufficient for them their belongings, neither their offsprings against the One of a thing, and they are fuel of the fire.

(On that Day) neither the riches nor the progeny of those who disbelieve will aught avail them with Allah. They will be fuel for Fire. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

As for the faithless, neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them anything against Allah; it is they who will be fuel for the Fire; - Qarai, Ali Quli

The wealth and children of the unbelievers will never serve them as a substitute for their belief in God. Such people will be the fuel for the fire. - Sarwar, Muhammad

(As for) those who disbelieve, surely neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them in the least against Allah, and these it is who are the fuel of the fire. - Shakir, Habib

كَدَأْبِ
Existed
ءَالِ
the party of
فِرْعَوْنَ
Fir'oun,
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones
مِن
from
قَبْلِهِمْ
before them;
ۚ
كَذَّبُوا۟
continuously lied
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
regarding Our signs,
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
so seized them
ٱللَّهُ
the One
بِذُنُوبِهِمْ
because of their offenses;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
شَدِيدُ
severe of
ٱلْعِقَابِ
the chase.
٣
١١
كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ Existed the party of Fir'oun, and the ones from before them; continuously lied regarding Our signs, so seized them the One because of their offenses; and the One is severe of the chase.

Like Pharaoh's folk and those who were before them, they disbelieved Our revelations and so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in punishment. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

as in the case of Pharaoh]s clan and those who were before them, who denied Our signs. So Allah seized them for their sins, and Allah is severe in retribution. - Qarai, Ali Quli

They do as the people of Pharaoh and those who lived before them did. They called Our revelations mere lies. God punished them for their sins. God is stern in His retribution. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Like the striving of the people of Firon and those before them; they rejected Our communications, so Allah destroyed them on account of their faults; and Allah is severe in requiting (evil). - Shakir, Habib

Their end will be like Pharaoh's people and those before them; they denied Our signs, so God seized them in their sinfulness: God is stern in punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

ان کا حال بھی فرعونیوں اور ان سے پہلے لوگوں کا سا ہو گا جنھوں نے بمارے آیات کو جھٹلایا، پس الله نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کے وجہ سے گرفت میں لے لیا اور الله سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُن کا انجام ویسا ہی ہوگا، جیسا فرعون کے ساتھیوں اور اُن سے پہلے کے نافرمانوں کا ہو چکا ہے کہ اُنہوں نے آیات الٰہی کو جھٹلایا، نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ اللہ نے ان کے گناہوں پر انہیں پکڑ لیا اور حق یہ ہے کہ اللہ سخت سزا دینے والا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

جیسے فرعون والوں اور ان سے اگلوں کا طریقہ، انہوں نے ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائیں تو اللہ نے ان کے گناہوں پر ان کو پکڑا اور اللہ کا عذاب سخت، - Ahmed Raza

ان کا حال (معاملہ بھی وہی ہے) کہ جو فرعونی گروہ اور اس سے پہلے لوگوں کا تھا کہ انہوں نے ہماری نشانیوں کو جھٹلایا۔ تو اللہ نے ان کے گناہوں کی پاداش میں ان کو گرفت میں لے لیا اور اللہ سخت سزا دینے والا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قُل
Say
لِّلَّذِينَ
for the ones who
كَفَرُوا۟
are in denial,
سَتُغْلَبُونَ
[You will be overpowered
وَتُحْشَرُونَ
and you will be squeezed
إِلَىٰ
into
جَهَنَّمَ
hell,
ۚ
وَبِئْسَ
and (it is) a miserable
ٱلْمِهَادُ
resting place.]
Say for the ones who are in denial, [You will be overpowered and you will be squeezed into hell, and (it is) a miserable resting place.]

Say (O Muhammad) unto those who disbelieve: Ye shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell, an evil resting-place. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say to the faithless, [You shall be overcome and mustered toward hell, and it is an evil resting place.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), tell the unbelievers that they will soon be defeated and driven into Hell, a terrible dwelling. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say to those who disbelieve: You shall be vanquished, and driven together to hell; and evil is the resting-place. - Shakir, Habib

Say to those who deny the truth, [You shall be overcome and driven into Hell -- an evil resting place!] - Wahiduddin Khan

(اے رسول) جنہوں نے انکار کیا ہے ان سے کہدیجیے: تم عنقریب مغلوب ہو جاؤ گے اور جہنم کے طرف اکھٹے کیے جاؤ گے اور وہ بدترین ٹھکانا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پس اے محمدؐ! جن لوگوں نے تمہاری دعوت کو قبول کرنے سے انکار کر دیا ہے، اُن سے کہہ دو کہ قریب ہے وہ وقت، جب تم مغلوب ہو جاؤ گے اور جہنم کی طرف ہانکے جاؤ گے اور جہنم بڑا ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فرمادو، کافروں سے کوئی دم جاتا ہے کہ تم مغلوب ہوگے اور دوزخ کی طرف ہانکے جاؤ گے اور وہ بہت ہی برا بچھونا، - Ahmed Raza

Certainly
كَانَ

لَكُمْ
for you people
ءَايَةٌۭ
a sign

فِئَتَيْنِ
two factions
ٱلْتَقَتَا
converged;
ۖ
فِئَةٌۭ
a group
تُقَٰتِلُ
fighting
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
way of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
وَأُخْرَىٰ
and other one (in way of)
كَافِرَةٌۭ
denial,
يَرَوْنَهُم
they (the first group) saw them (the other)
مِّثْلَيْهِمْ
like more of them
رَأْىَ
as saw
ٱلْعَيْنِ
the eye;
ۚ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One
يُؤَيِّدُ
strengthens
بِنَصْرِهِۦ
through His help
مَن
whom
يَشَآءُ
He desires;
ۗ
إِنَّ
indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
that
لَعِبْرَةًۭ
for sure is a lesson
لِّأُو۟لِى
for the foremost of
ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ
the vision.
٣
١٣
قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ ءَايَةٌۭ فِى فِئَتَيْنِ ٱلْتَقَتَا ۖ فِئَةٌۭ تُقَٰتِلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخْرَىٰ كَافِرَةٌۭ يَرَوْنَهُم مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْىَ ٱلْعَيْنِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ Certainly was for you people a sign in when two factions converged; a group fighting in way of the One and other one (in way of) denial, they (the first group) saw them (the other) like more of them as saw the eye; and the One strengthens through His help whom He desires; indeed in that for sure is a lesson for the foremost of the vision.

There was a token for you in two hosts which met: one army fighting in the way of Allah, and another disbelieving, whom they saw as twice their number, clearly, with their very eyes. Thus Allah strengtheneth with His succour whom He will. Lo! herein verily is a lesson for those who have eyes. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

There was certainly a sign for you in the two hosts that met: one host fighting in the way of Allah and the other faithless, who saw them as visibly twice as many. Allah strengthens whomever He wishes with His help. There is indeed a moral in that for those who have insight. - Qarai, Ali Quli

There, certainly, is evidence (of the existence of God) for you in the case of the two armies. One of them fought for the cause of God. The other were disbelievers. The disbelievers appeared to be twice the size of the believers. However, God supports through His help whomever He wants. It is a good lesson for the people of true vision. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Indeed there was a sign for you in the two hosts (which) met together in encounter; one party fighting in the way of Allah and the other unbelieving, whom they saw twice as many as themselves with the sight of the eye and Allah strengthens with His aid whom He pleases; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight. - Shakir, Habib

There was a sign for you in the two groups which met face to face [at Badr], one party fighting for the cause of God and the other made up of those who deny the truth. The faithful saw with their own eyes that the others were twice their number: but God strengthens with His succour whom He wills. In this, there is indeed a lesson for all who have eyes to see. - Wahiduddin Khan

تمہارے واسطے ان دونوں گروہوں کے حالات میں ایک نشانی موجود ہے جو میدان جنگ میں آمنے سامنے آئے کہ ایک گروہ راسِ خدا میں جہاد کررہا تھا اور دوسرا کافر تھا جو ان مومنین کو اپنے سے دوگنا دیکھ رہا تھا اور اللہ اپنی نصرت کے ذریعہ جس کی چاہتا ہے تائید کرتا ہے اور اس میں صاحبان هنظر کے واسطے سامان هعبرت و نصیحت بھی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

تمہارے لیے اُن دو گروہوں میں ایک نشان عبرت تھا، جو (بدر میں) ایک دوسرے سے نبرد آزما ہوئے ایک گروہ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑ رہا تھا اور دوسرا گروہ کافر تھا دیکھنے والے بچشم سر دیکھ رہے تھے کہ کافر گروہ مومن گروہ سے دو چند ہے مگر (نتیجے نے ثابت کر دیا کہ) اللہ اپنی فتح و نصرت سے جس کو چاہتا ہے، مدد دیتا ہے دیدۂ بینا رکھنے والوں کے لیے اس میں بڑا سبق پوشیدہ ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک تمہارے لئے نشانی تھی دو گروہوں میں جو آپس میں بھڑ پڑے ایک جتھا اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتا اور دوسرا کافر کہ انہیں آنکھوں دیکھا اپنے سے دونا سمجھیں، اور اللہ اپنی مدد سے زور دیتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے بیشک اس میں عقلمندوں کے لئے ضرور دیکھ کر سیکھنا ہے، - Ahmed Raza

تمہارے لیے ان دو گروہوں (کے حالات) میں جن کی (میدانِ بدر میں) مڈبھیڑ ہوئی تھی (صداقت رسول(ص) کی) ایک بڑی نشانی (معجزہ) موجود ہے۔ ایک گروہ خدا کی راہ میں جنگ کر رہا تھا۔ اور دوسرا گروہ کافر تھا جن کو (مسلمان) اپنی آنکھوں سے دوگنا دیکھ رہے تھے اور اللہ اپنی مدد سے جس کی چاہتا ہے، تائید و تقویت کرتا ہے بے شک اس (واقعہ) میں بڑی عبرت و نصیحت ہے۔ نگاہ (عبرت رکھنے) والوں کے لیے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

زُيِّنَ
Appears beautiful
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
حُبُّ
attractiveness of
ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ
the desires
مِنَ

ٱلنِّسَآءِ
the women,
وَٱلْبَنِينَ
and the sons,
وَٱلْقَنَٰطِيرِ
and the arches
ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ
the ones held up
مِنَ
from
ٱلذَّهَبِ
the gold,
وَٱلْفِضَّةِ
and the wide open spaces
وَٱلْخَيْلِ
and the noble horses
ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ
that are tagged,
وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
and the cattle
وَٱلْحَرْثِ
and the cultivation;
ۗ
ذَٰلِكَ
that is
مَتَٰعُ
enjoyment in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
the life of
ٱلدُّنْيَا
this life;
ۖ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One,
عِندَهُۥ
towards Him is
حُسْنُ
a beautiful
ٱلْمَـَٔابِ
returning.

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْبَنِينَ وَٱلْقَنَٰطِيرِ ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلْفِضَّةِ وَٱلْخَيْلِ ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ وَٱلْحَرْثِ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلْمَـَٔابِ Appears beautiful for the people attractiveness of the desires of the women, and the sons, and the arches the ones held up from the gold, and the wide open spaces and the noble horses that are tagged, and the cattle and the cultivation; that is enjoyment in the life of this life; and the One, towards Him is a beautiful returning.

Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The love of [worldly] allures, including women and children, accumulated piles of gold and silver, horses of mark, livestock, and farms has been made to seem decorous to mankind. Those are the wares of the life of this world, but the goodness of one]s ultimate destination lies near Allah. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Worldly desires, wives, children, accumulated treasures of gold and silver, horses of noble breed, cattle, and farms are all made to seem attractive to men. All these are the bounties of the worldly life but in the life to come God has the best place for people to dwell. - Sarwar, Muhammad

The love of desires, of women and sons and hoarded treasures of gold and silver and well bred horses and cattle and tilth, is made to seem fair to men; this is the provision of the life of this world; and Allah is He with Whom is the good goal (of life). - Shakir, Habib

Say,
أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم
[Should I inform you
بِخَيْرٍۢ
about better
مِّن
from
ذَٰلِكُمْ
that for you?
ۚ
لِلَّذِينَ
For the ones
ٱتَّقَوْا۟
who become aware,
عِندَ
from
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb
جَنَّٰتٌۭ
are gardens —
تَجْرِى
flowing
مِن
from
تَحْتِهَا
under them are
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
rivers —
خَٰلِدِينَ
eternalized
فِيهَا
therein,
وَأَزْوَٰجٌۭ
and partners
مُّطَهَّرَةٌۭ
who are progressive,
وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ
and contentedness
مِّنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
بَصِيرٌۢ
observant
بِٱلْعِبَادِ
regarding His servants.]
٣
١٥
قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم بِخَيْرٍۢ مِّن ذَٰلِكُمْ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَٰجٌۭ مُّطَهَّرَةٌۭ وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ Say, [Should I inform you about better from that for you? For the ones who become aware, from their Rabb are gardens — flowing from under them are rivers — eternalized therein, and partners who are progressive, and contentedness from the One; and the One is observant regarding His servants.]

Say: Shall I inform you of something better than that? For those who keep from evil, with their Lord, are Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide, and pure companions, and contentment from Allah. Allah is Seer of His bondmen, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Say, [Shall I inform you of something better than that? For those who are Godwary there will be gardens near their Lord, with streams running in them, to remain in them [forever], and chaste mates, and Allah]s pleasure.] And Allah watches His servants. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), ask them, [Shall I tell you what is far superior to worldly pleasures? Those who have fear of God will have (as their reward) gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever with their purified spouses and with the consent of God. God knows all about His servants.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Say: Shall I tell you what is better than these? For those who guard (against evil) are gardens with their Lord, beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them, and pure mates and Allah's pleasure; and Allah sees the servants. - Shakir, Habib

Say, [Shall I tell you of something better than all of these? For the God-fearing, there are Gardens in nearness to their God with rivers flowing through them where they shall live forever with pure spouses and the goodwill of God. God is watching His servants -- - Wahiduddin Khan

پیغمبر آپ کہہ دیں کہ کیا میں ان سب سے بہتر چیز کی خبر دوں- جو لوگ تقوٰی اختیار کرنے والے ہیں ان کے لئے پروردگار کے یہاں وہ باغات ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں اور وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں . ان کے لئے پاکیزہ بیویاں ہیں اور اللہ کی خوشنودی ہے اور اللہ اپنے بندوں کے حالات سے خوب باخبر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کہو: میں تمہیں بتاؤں کہ ان سے زیادہ اچھی چیز کیا ہے؟ جو لوگ تقویٰ کی روش اختیار کریں، اُن کے لیے ان کے رب کے پا س باغ ہیں، جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی، وہاں انہیں ہمیشگی کی زندگی حاصل ہوگی، پاکیزہ بیویاں ان کی رفیق ہوں گی اور اللہ کی رضا سے وہ سرفراز ہوں گے اللہ اپنے بندوں کے رویے پر گہری نظر رکھتا ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تم فرماؤ کیا میں تمہیں اس سے بہتر چیز بتادوں پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ان کے رب کے پاس جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں گے اور ستھری بیبیاں اور اللہ کی خوشنودی اور اللہ بندوں کو دیکھتا ہے - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول(ص)) کہو۔ کیا میں تمہیں ان سب سے بہتر چیز بتاؤں؟ جن لوگوں نے پرہیزگاری اختیار کی ان کے لئے ان کے پروردگار کے یہاں ایسے بہشت ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں اور وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے (ان کے علاوہ) پاک و پاکیزہ بیویاں ہیں اور (سب سے بڑی نعمت) خدا کی خوشنودی ہے۔ اور خدا (اپنے) بندوں کو خوب دیکھ رہا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

[The ones who
يَقُولُونَ
say,
رَبَّنَآ
— [Our Rabb!
إِنَّنَآ
Certainly we
ءَامَنَّا
have trust,
فَٱغْفِرْ
thus have forgiveness
لَنَا
for us for
ذُنُوبَنَا
our offenses
وَقِنَا
and keep us from
عَذَابَ
anguish of
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire.] — ]
٣
١٦
ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ [The ones who say, — [Our Rabb! Certainly we have trust, thus have forgiveness for us for our offenses and keep us from anguish of the fire.] — ]

Those who say: Our Lord! Lo! we believe. So forgive us our sins and guard us from the punishment of Fire; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who say, [Our Lord! Indeed, we have faith. So forgive us our sins, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Such will be the reward of) those who say, [Lord, we have believed in you. Forgive us our sins and save us from the torment of fire,] - Sarwar, Muhammad

Those who say: Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire. - Shakir, Habib

those who say, [Lord, we believe in You, forgive us our sins and keep us from the punishment of the Fire,] - Wahiduddin Khan

قابل تعریف ہیں وہ لوگ جو یہ کہتے ہیں کہ پروردگار ہم ایمان لے آئے- ہمارے گناہوں کو بخش دے اور ہمیں آتش جہّنم سے بچالے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں، جو کہتے ہیں کہ ——مالک! ہم ایمان لائے، ہماری خطاؤں سے در گزر فرما اور ہمیں آتش دوزخ سے بچا لے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہ جو کہتے ہیں ے رب ہمارے! ہم ایمان لائے تو ہمارے گناہ معاف کر اور ہمیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچالے، - Ahmed Raza

(ان متقیوں کی صفت یہ ہے کہ) کہتے ہیں (دعا کرتے ہیں) ہمارے پروردگار! بے شک ہم ایمان لائے ہیں تو ہمارے گناہوں کو بخش دے اور ہمیں آتش دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
[And the persevering,
وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
and the truthful,
وَٱلْقَٰنِتِينَ
and the dutiful,
وَٱلْمُنفِقِينَ
and the distributers (of rizq),
وَٱلْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ
and the ones who shield themselves
بِٱلْأَسْحَارِ
from the illusions.]

١٧
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ وَٱلْقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلْمُنفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِٱلْأَسْحَارِ [And the persevering, and the truthful, and the dutiful, and the distributers (of rizq), and the ones who shield themselves from the illusions.]

The steadfast, and the truthful, and the obedient, those who spend (and hoard not), those who pray for pardon in the watches of the night. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
[They are] patient and truthful, obedient and charitable, and they plead for [Allah]s] forgiveness at dawns. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
who exercise patience, speak the truth, who are devoted in prayer, spend their property for the cause of God and seek forgiveness from God during the last part of the night. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
The patient, and the truthful, and the obedient, and those who spend (benevolently) and those who ask forgiveness in the morning times. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
those who are steadfast, truthful, obedient, and those who spend [for God's cause] and who pray before dawn for forgiveness.] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ سب صبر کرنے والے, سچ بولنے والے, اطاعت کرنے والے, راہ خدا میں خرچ کرنے والے اور ہنگاهِ سحر استغفار کرنے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ صبر کرنے والے ہیں، راستباز ہیں، فرمانبردار اور فیاض ہیں اور رات کی آخری گھڑیوں میں اللہ سے مغفرت کی دعائیں مانگا کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

صبر والے اور سچے اور ادب والے اور راہِ خدا میں خرچنے والے اور پچھلے پہر سے معافی مانگنے والے - Ahmed Raza

Witnessed
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
أَنَّهُۥ
indeed He is —
لَآ
no
إِلَٰهَ
unchallenged master
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
Him —
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikati,
وَأُو۟لُوا۟
and foremost of
ٱلْعِلْمِ
the knowledge,
قَآئِمًۢا
standing together
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
with the Justice;
ۚ
لَآ
no
إِلَٰهَ
unchallenged master
إِلَّا
except
هُوَ
He who is
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Fortified,
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
the Most Wise.
٣
١٨
شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمِ قَآئِمًۢا بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ Witnessed the One, indeed He is — no unchallenged master except Him — and the malaikati, and foremost of the knowledge, standing together with the Justice; no unchallenged master except He who is the Fortified, the Most Wise.

Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no Allah save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no Allah save Him the Almighty, the Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah, maintainer of justice, the Almighty and the All-wise, besides whom there is no god, bears witness that there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels and those who possess knowledge. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
God Himself testifies that He is the only Lord. The angels and the men of knowledge and justice testify that God is the only Lord, the Majestic, and All-wise. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Allah bears witness that there is no god but He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of knowledge, maintaining His creation with justice; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
God bears witness that there is no deity save Him, as do the angels and those who possess knowledge. He is the upholder of justice. There is no diety save Him, the Mighty, the Wise One. - Wahiduddin Khan

اللہ خود گواہ ہے کہ اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے ملائکہ اور صاحبانِ علم گواہ ہیں کہ وہ عدل کے ساتھ قائم ہے- اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اور وہ صاحبِ عزّت و حکمت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اللہ نے خود شہادت دی ہے کہ اس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے، او ر (یہی شہادت) فرشتوں اور سب اہل علم نے بھی دی ہے وہ انصاف پر قائم ہے اُس زبردست حکیم کے سوا فی الواقع کوئی خدا نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ نے گواہی دی کہ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور فرشتوں نے اور عالموں نے انصاف سے قائم ہوکر اس کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہیں عزت والا حکمت والا، - Ahmed Raza

خود اللہ، اس کے ملائکہ اور صاحبانِ علم گواہ ہیں کہ اس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اور وہ عدل و انصاف کے ساتھ قائم و برقرار ہے اس کے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے جو زبردست، حکمت والا (دانا) ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Surely
ٱلدِّينَ
the governance system
عِندَ

ٱللَّهِ
the One is
ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ
the complete commitment,

وَمَا
and not
ٱخْتَلَفَ
disputed
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
أُوتُوا۟
were given
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
إِلَّا
except
مِنۢ
from
بَعْدِ
after
مَا
what
جَآءَهُمُ
came to them of
ٱلْعِلْمُ
the knowledge
بَغْيًۢا
out of revulsion
بَيْنَهُمْ
between themselves;
ۗ
وَمَن
and whoever
يَكْفُرْ
denies
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
about signs of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
فَإِنَّ
then certainly
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
سَرِيعُ
swift of
ٱلْحِسَابِ
the reckoning.

١٩
إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ ۗ وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ Surely the governance system from the One is the complete commitment, and not disputed the ones who were given the Book except from after what came to them of the knowledge out of revulsion between themselves; and whoever denies about signs of the One then certainly the One is swift of the reckoning.

Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed, with Allah religion is Islam, and those who were given the Book did not differ except after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves. And whoever denies Allah]s signs [should know that] Allah is swift at reckoning. - Qarai, Ali Quli

In the sight of God Islam is the religion. The People of the Book created differences in the matters (of religion) because of their hostility among themselves, only after knowledge had come to them. Let whoever denies the revelations of God know that the reckoning of God is swift. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely the (true) religion with Allah is Islam, and those to whom the Book had been given did not show opposition but after knowledge had come to them, out of envy among themselves; and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning. - Shakir, Habib

The only true religion in God's sight is complete submission to God. And those who were given the Book disagreed only out of rivalry, after knowledge had been given to them -- he who denies God's signs should know that God is swift in His reckoning. - Wahiduddin Khan

اللہ کے نزدیک دین صرف اسلام ہے اس دین سے ہٹ کر جو مختلف طریقے اُن لوگوں نے اختیار کیے، جنہیں کتاب دی گئی تھی، اُن کے اِس طرز عمل کی کوئی وجہ اس کے سوا نہ تھی کہ انہوں نے علم آ جانے کے بعد آپس میں ایک دوسرے پر زیادتی کرنے کے لیے ایسا کیا اور جو کوئی اللہ کے احکام و ہدایات کی اطاعت سے انکار کر دے، اللہ کو اس سے حساب لیتے کچھ دیر نہیں لگتی ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک اللہ کے یہاں اسلام ہی دین ہے اور پھوٹ میں نہ پڑے کتابی مگر اس کے کہ انہیں علم آچکا اپنے دلو ں کی جلن سے اور جو اللہ کی آیتوں کا منکر ہو تو بیشک اللہ جلد حساب لینے والا ہے، - Ahmed Raza
