وَوَهَبْنَا
And We granted
لَهُۥٓ
to him
إِسْحَٰقَ
Ishaaq
وَيَعْقُوبَ
and Yaqoob,
وَجَعَلْنَا
and We placed
فِى
in
ذُرِّيَّتِهِ
his lineage
ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ
the leadership
وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ
and the Book,
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ
and We gave him
أَجْرَهُۥ
his reward
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا
the World,
ۖ
وَإِنَّهُۥ
and indeed he
فِى
in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
the forth-coming is
لَمِنَ
from those who are
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
the constructive-workers.
٢٩
٢٧
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ أَجْرَهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ And We granted to him Ishaaq and Yaqoob, and We placed in his lineage the leadership and the Book, and We gave him his reward in the World, and indeed he in the forth-coming is from those who are the constructive-workers.

And We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and We established the prophethood and the Scripture among his seed, and We gave him his reward in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he verily is among the righteous. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Lo! ye commit lewdness such as no creature did before you. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And Lot, when he said to his people, [You indeed commit an indecency none in the world has ever committed before you! - Qarai, Ali Quli

Lot told his people, [You are certainly committing the kind of indecency which no one in the world has committed before]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: Most surely you are guilty of an indecency which none of the nations has ever done before you; - Shakir, Habib

اور پھر لوط کو یاد کرو جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ تم لوگ ایسی بدکاری کررہے ہو جو سارے عالم میں تم سے پہلے کبھی کسی نے بھی نہیں کی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah's doom upon us if thou art a truthteller! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

What! Do you come to men, and cut off the way, and commit outrages in your gatherings?] But the only answer of his people was that they said, [Bring down us Allah]s punishment, if you are truthful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do you engage in carnal relations with men, rob the travellers, and commit evil in your gatherings? His people had no answer but to say, [Bring upon us the torment of God if you are truthful]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

What! do you come to the males and commit robbery on the highway, and you commit evil deeds in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: Bring on us Allah's punishment, if you are one of the truthful. - Shakir, Habib

You approach men and waylay them on the road and commit depravities within your gatherings.] But his people's only reply was, [Bring down God's punishment upon us, if what you say be true.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تم لوگ مذِدوں سے جنسی تعلّقات پیدا کررہے ہو اور راستے قطع کررہے ہو اور اپنی محفلوں میں برائیوں کو انجام دے رہے ہو .... تو ان کی قوم کے پاس اس کے علاوہ کوئی جواب نہ تھا کہ اگر تم صادقین میں سے ہو تو وہ عذاب هالٰہی لے آؤ جس کی خبر دے رہے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

کیا تمہارا حال یہ ہے کہ مَردوں کے پاس جاتے ہو، اور رہزنی کرتے ہو اور اپنی مجلسوں میں بُرے کام کرتے ہو؟—— پھر کوئی جواب اس کی قوم کے پاس اس کے سوا نہ تھا کہ انہوں نے کہا ——لے آ اللہ کا عذاب اگر تو سچّا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مُهْلِكُوٓا۟ أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said: Lo! we are about to destroy the people of that township, for its people are wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said, [We are indeed going to destroy the people of this town. Its people are indeed wrongdoers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Our angelic Messengers brought glad news to Abraham, they told him, [We are about to destroy the people of this town for their injustice]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Our apostles came to Ibrahim with the good news, they said: Surely we are going to destroy the people of this town, for its people are unjust. - Shakir, Habib

When Our messengers brought Abraham the good news [of the birth of Isaac] they [also] said, [We are indeed going to destroy the people of this city, for the people of this city are truly wrongdoers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ہمارے نمائندہ فرشتے ابراہیم کے پاس بشارت لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے یہ خبر سنائی کہ ہم اس بستی والوں کو ہلاک کرنا چاہتے ہیں کہ اس بستی کے لوگ بڑے ظالم ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جب ہمارے فرستادے ابراہیمؑ کے پاس بشارت لے کر پہنچے تو انہوں نے اُس سے کہا ——ہم اِس بستی کے لوگوں کو ہلاک کرنے والے ہیں، اس کے لوگ سخت ظالم ہو چکے ہیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب ہمارے فرشتے ابراہیم کے پاس مژدہ لے کر آئے بولے ہم ضرور اس شہر والوں کو ہلاک کریں گے بیشک اس کے بسنے والے ستمگاروں ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اور جب ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) ابراہیم کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے۔ تو انہوں نے (اثنائے گفتگو میں یہ بھی) کہا کہ ہم اس (لوط کی) بستی والوں کو ہلاک کرنے والے ہیں (کیونکہ) اس بستی کے لوگ (بڑے) ظالم ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًۭا ۚ قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

He said: Lo! Lot is there. They said: We are best aware of who is there. We are to deliver him and his household, all save his wife, who is of those who stay behind. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [Lot is in it.] They said, [We know better those who are in it. We will surely deliver him and his family, except his wife: she shall be one of those who remain behind.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Abraham said, [Lot is there in that town!] They said, [We know everyone there. We shall certainly save him and his family except his wife who will remain behind.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: Surely in it is Lut. They said: We know well who is in it; we shall certainly deliver him and his followers, except his wife; she shall be of those who remain behind. - Shakir, Habib

Abraham said, [But, Lot lives here.] They answered, [We well know who lives here. We shall surely save him and his whole family, except his wife, who will be among those who stay behind.] - Wahiduddin Khan

تو ابراہیم نے کہا کہ اس میں تو لوط بھی ہیں - انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ ہم سب سے باخبر ہیں - ہم انہیں اور ان کے گھر والوں کو نجات دے دیں گے علاوہ ان کی زوجہ کے کہ وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ابراہیمؑ نے کہا ——وہاں تو لوطؑ موجود ہے—— انہوں نے کہا ——ہم خوب جانتے ہیں کہ وہاں کون کون ہے ہم اُسے، اور اس کی بیوی کے سوا اس کے باقی گھر والوں کو بچا لیں گے—— اس کی بیوی پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں سے تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کہا اس میں تو لوط ہے فرشتے بولے ہمیں خوب معلوم ہے جو کوئی اس میں ہے، ضرور ہم اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو نجات دیں گے مگر اس کی عورت کو، وہ رہ جانے والوں میں ہے - Ahmed Raza

And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was troubled upon their account, for he could not protect them; but they said: Fear not, nor grieve! Lo! we are to deliver thee and thy household, (all) save thy wife, who is of those who stay behind. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

پھر جب ہمارے فرستادے لوطؑ کے پاس پہنچے تو ان کی آمد پر وہ سخت پریشان اور دل تنگ ہوا اُنہوں نے کہا ——نہ ڈرو اور نہ رنج کرو ہم تمہیں اور تمہارے گھر والوں کو بچا لیں گے، سوائے تمہاری بیوی کے جو پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں سے ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًۭا فَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱرْجُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And unto Midian We sent Shu'eyb, their brother. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, and look forward to the Last Day, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And to Midian We sent Shu[ayb, their brother. He said, [O my people! Worship Allah, and expect [to encounter] the Last Day, and do not act wickedly on the earth causing corruption.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

اور ہم نے مدین کی طرف ان کے بھائی شعیب کو بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ لوگو اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور روزِ آخرت سے امیدیں وابستہ کرو اور خبردار زمین میں فساد نہ پھیلاتے پھرو - Jawadi, Zeeshan
