Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِقَآئِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَئِسُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَتِى وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in (their) Meeting with Him, such have no hope of My mercy. For such there is a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who deny the signs of Allah and the encounter with Him—they have despaired of My mercy, and for such there is a painful punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Those who have rejected God's revelations have no hope in receiving His mercy. They will face a painful torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as to) those who disbelieve in the communications of Allah and His meeting, they have despaired of My mercy, and these it is that shall have a painful punishment. - Shakir, Habib

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنجَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

But the answer of his folk was only that they said: [Kill him] or [Burn him.] Then Allah saved him from the Fire. Lo! herein verily are portents for folk who believe. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But the only answer of his people was that they said, [Kill him, or burn him.] Then Allah delivered him from the fire. There are indeed signs in that for a people who have faith. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Abraham's) people had no answer except suggesting, [Kill him or burn him.] But God saved him from the fire. In this there is evidence (of truth) for the believing people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So naught was the answer of his people except that they said: Slay him or burn him; then Allah delivered him from the fire; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe. - Shakir, Habib

پھر اُس کی قوم کا جواب اِس کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا کہ انہوں نے کہا ——قتل کر دو اِسے یا جلا ڈالو اِس کو—— آخر کار اللہ نے اسے آگ سے بچا لیا، یقیناً اس میں نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو ایمان لانے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا ٱتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْثَٰنًۭا مَّوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُم بِبَعْضٍۢ وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًۭا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

He said: Ye have chosen only idols instead of Allah. The love between you is only in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection ye will deny each other and curse each other, and your abode will be the Fire, and ye will have no helpers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [You have taken idols [for worship] besides Allah for the sake of [mutual] affection amongst yourselves in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will disown one another and curse one another, and the Fire will be your abode, and you will not have any helpers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Abraham said, [You believe in idols besides God only out of worldly love, but on the Day of Judgment you will reject and condemn each other. Your dwelling will be fire and no one will help you.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he said: You have only taken for yourselves idols besides Allah by way of friendship between you in this world's life, then on the resurrection day some of you shall deny others, and some of you shall curse others, and your abode is the fire, and you shall not have any helpers. - Shakir, Habib

Abraham said, [You have taken up the worship of idols, instead of God, to promote friendship between yourselves in the present life. But on the Day of Judgement, you will disown and curse one another. Your abode will be the Fire and you will have no helpers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ابراہیم نے کہا کہ تم نے صرف زندگانی دنیا کی محبتوں کو برقرار رکھنے کے لئے خدا کو چھوڑ کر بتوں کو اختیار کرلیا ہے اس کے بعد روز هقیامت تم میں سے ہر ایک دوسرے کا انکار کرے گا اور ایک دوسرے پر لعنت کرے گا جب کہ تم سب کا انجام جہّنم ہوگا اور تمہارا کوئی مددگار نہ ہوگا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اُس نے کہا ——تم نے دنیا کی زندگی میں تو اللہ کو چھوڑ کر بتوں کو اپنے درمیان محبت کا ذریعہ بنا لیا ہے مگر قیامت کے روز تم ایک دُوسرے کا انکار اور ایک دُوسرے پر لعنت کرو گے اور آگ تمہارا ٹھکانا ہو گی اور کوئی تمہارا مدد گار نہ ہو گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ابراہیم نے فرمایا تم نے تو اللہ کے سوا یہ بت بنالیے ہیں جن سے تمہاری دوستی یہی دنیا کی زندگی تک ہے پھر قیامت کے دن تم میں ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ کفر کرے گا اور ایک دوسرے پر لعنت ڈالے گا اور تم سب کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور تمہارا کوئی مددگار نہیں - Ahmed Raza

And Lot believed him, and said: Lo! I am a fugitive unto my Lord. Lo! He, only He, is the Mighty, the Wise. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thereupon Lot believed in him, and he said, [Indeed I am migrating toward my Lord. Indeed He is the All-mighty, the All-wise.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Only Lot believed in (Abraham) and said, [I seek refuge in my Lord, for He is Majestic and All-wise]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Lut believed in Him, and he said: I am fleeing to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise. - Shakir, Habib

Lot was the one who believed in him and said, [I shall migrate to another land for the sake of my Lord. He is the Mighty One, the Wise One.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر لوط ابراہیم پر ایمان لے آئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ میں اپنے رب کی طرف ہجرت کررہا ہوں کہ وہی صاحب هعزّت اور صاحب حکمت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اُس وقت لوطؑ نے اُس کو مانا اور ابراہیمؑ نے کہا میں اپنے رب کی طرف ہجرت کرتا ہوں، وہ زبردست ہے اور حکیم ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala
