فَلَهُۥٓ

أَسْلِمُوا۟

And for every nation have We appointed a ritual, that they may mention the name of Allah over the beast of cattle that He hath given them for food; and your god is One God, therefor surrender unto Him. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the humble, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

For every nation We have appointed a rite so that they might mention Allah]s Name over the livestock He has provided them. Your God is the One God, so submit to Him. And give good news to the humble - Qarai, Ali Quli

To every nation We have given certain sacrificial rituals. Let them consecrate their sacrificial animals with His Name. Your God is One God and you must submit yourselves to His will. (Muhammad), give the glad news (of God's mercy) to the devoted servants of God: - Sarwar, Muhammad

And to every nation We appointed acts of devotion that they may mention the name of Allah on what He has given them of the cattle quadrupeds; so your god is One God, therefore to Him should you submit, and give good news to the humble, - Shakir, Habib

اور ہم نے ہر قوم کے لئے قربانی کا طریقہ مقرر کردیا ہے تاکہ جن جانوروں کا رزق ہم نے عطا کیا ہے ان پر نام خدا کا ذکر کریں پھر تمہارا خدا صرف خدائے واحد ہے تم اسی کے اطاعت گزار بنو اور ہمارے گڑگڑانے والے بندوں کو بشارت دے دو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہر امّت کے لیے ہم نے قربانی کا ایک قاعدہ مقرر کر دیا ہے تاکہ (اُس امّت کے لوگ) اُن جانوروں پر اللہ کا نام لیں جو اُس نے اُن کو بخشے ہیں (اِن مختلف طریقوں کے اندر مقصد ایک ہی ہے) پس تمہارا خدا ایک ہی خدا ہے اور اُسی کے تم مطیع فرمان بنو اور اے نبیؐ، بشارت دے دے عاجزانہ رَوش اختیار کرنے والوں کو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہر امت کے لیے ہم نے ایک قربانی مقرر فرمائی کہ اللہ کا نام لیں اس کے دیے ہوئے بے زبان چوپایوں پر تو تمہارا معبود ایک معبود ہے تو اسی کے حضور گردن رکھو اور اے محبوب خوشی سنادو ان تواضع والوں کو، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے ہر قوم کیلئے قربانی کا ایک طور طریقہ مقرر کیا ہے۔ تاکہ وہ ان چوپایوں پر (ذبح کے وقت) اللہ کا نام لیں، جو اس نے انہیں عطا کئے ہیں (الغرض) تمہارا اللہ ایک ہی ہے لہٰذا تم اس کی بارگاہ میں سر جھکاؤ اور ان عاجزی کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری دے دو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلَّذِينَ
The ones who
إِذَا
whenever
ذُكِرَ
remember
ٱللَّهُ
the One.
وَجِلَتْ
become fearful
قُلُوبُهُمْ
their hearts,
وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
and the persevering
عَلَىٰ
upon
مَآ
what
أَصَابَهُمْ
befalls them,
وَٱلْمُقِيمِى
and those who establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
the united order,
وَمِمَّا
and from what
رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
sustenance We give to them
يُنفِقُونَ
they distribute.

٣٥
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَهُمْ وَٱلْمُقِيمِى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ The ones who whenever remember the One. become fearful their hearts, and the persevering upon what befalls them, and those who establish the united order, and from what sustenance We give to them they distribute.

Whose hearts fear when Allah is mentioned, and the patient of whatever may befall them, and those who establish worship and who spend of that We have bestowed on them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

—those whose hearts tremble with awe when Allah is mentioned, and who are patient through whatever visits them, and who maintain the prayer and spend out of what We have provided them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

جن کے سامنے ذکر خدا آتا ہے تو ان کے دل لرز جاتے ہیں اور وہ جو مصیبت پر صبر کرنے والے اور نماز قائم کرنے والے ہیں اور ہم نے جو رزق دیا ہے اس میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرنے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جن کا حال یہ ہے کہ اللہ کا ذکر سُنتے ہیں تو ان کے دل کانپ اٹھتے ہیں، جو مصیبت بھی اُن پر آتی ہے اُس پر صبر کرتے ہیں، نماز قائم کرتے ہیں، اور جو کچھ رزق ہم نے اُن کو دیا ہے اُس میں سے خرچ کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کہ جب اللہ کا ذکر ہوتا ہے ان کے دل ڈرنے لگتے ہیں اور جو افتاد پڑے اس کے سنے والے اور نماز برپا رکھنے والے اور ہمارے دیے سے خرچ کرتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

٣٦
وَٱلْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَٰهَا لَكُم مِّن شَعَٰٓئِرِ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌۭ ۖ فَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَآفَّ ۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْقَانِعَ وَٱلْمُعْتَرَّ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَٰهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And the camels! We have appointed them among the ceremonies of Allah. Therein ye have much good. So mention the name of Allah over them when they are drawn up in lines. Then when their flanks fall (dead), eat thereof and feed the beggar and the suppliant. Thus have We made them subject unto you, that haply ye may give thanks. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We have appointed for you the [sacrificial] camels as part of Allah]s sacraments. There is good for you in them. So mention the Name of Allah over them as they stand. And when they have fallen on their flanks, eat from them, and feed the self-contained needy and the mendicant. Thus have We disposed them for your benefit so that you may give thanks. - Qarai, Ali Quli

For you We have made the sacrificial camel one of the reminders of God. It also has other benefits for you. Consecrate it with the Name of God when it is steadily standing. When it is slaughtered, consume its flesh and give part of it to the needy who do and those do not ask for help from others. Thus We have made the camel subservient to you so that perhaps you may give thanks. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as for) the camels, We have made them of the signs of the religion of Allah for you; for you therein is much good; therefore mention the name of Allah on them as they stand in a row, then when they fall down eat of them and feed the poor man who is contented and the beggar; thus have We made them subservient to you, that you may be grateful. - Shakir, Habib

We have appointed for you the sacrificial camels as one of the symbols set up by God, in which there is much good for you. So invoke God's name over them as you line them up for slaughter, and when they have fallen down dead, feed yourselves and feed the needy -- those who do not ask as well as those who do. اور ہم نے قربانیوں کے اونٹ کو بھی اپنی نشانیوں میں سے قرار دیا ہے اس میں تمہارے لئے خیر ہے لہذا اس پر کھڑے ہونے کی حالت ہی میں نام خدا کا ذکر کرو اور اس کے بعد جب اس کے تمام پہلو گر جائیں تو اس میں سے خود بھی کھاؤ اور قناعت کرنے والے اور مانگنے والے سب غریبوں کو کھلاؤ کہ ہم نے انہیں تمہارے لئے لَسّخر کردیا ہے تاکہ تم شکر گزار بندے بن جاؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور (قربانی کے) اونٹوں کو ہم نے تمہارے لیے شعائر اللہ میں شامل کیا ہے، تمہارے لیے اُن میں بھَلائی ہے، پس انہیں کھڑا کر کے ان پر اللہ کا نام لو، اور جب (قربانی کے بعد) ان کی پیٹھیں زمین پر ٹک جائیں تو اُن میں سے خود بھی کھاؤ اور اُن کو بھی کھلاؤ جو قناعت کیے بیٹھے ہیں اور اُن کو بھی جو اپنی حاجت پیش کریں اِن جانوروں کو ہم نے اِس طرح تمہارے لیے مسخّر کیا ہے تاکہ تم شکریہ ادا کرو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور قربانی کے ڈیل دار جانور اور اونٹ اور گائے ہم نے تمہارے لیے اللہ کی نشانیوں سے کیے تمہارے لیے ان میں بھلائی ہے تو ان پر اللہ کا نام لو ایک پاؤں بندھے تین پاؤں سے کھڑے پھر جب ان کی کروٹیں گرجائیں تو ان میں سے خود کھاؤ اور صبر سے بیٹھنے والے اور بھیک مانگنے والے کو کھلاؤ، ہم نے یونہی ان کو تمہارے بس میں دے دیا کہ تم احسان مانو، - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے قربانی کے اونٹوں کو تمہارے لئے شعائر اللہ سے قرار دیا ہے۔ ان میں تمہارے لئے بھلائی ہے پس تم ان کو صف بستہ کھڑا کرکے خدا کا نام لو۔ اور جب وہ کروٹ کے بل گر پڑیں تو ان میں سے خود بھی کھاؤ اور بے سوال اور سوالی کو بھی کھلاؤ اسی طرح ہم نے ان جانوروں کو تمہارے لئے مسخر کیا ہے تاکہ تم شکرگزار (بندے) بن جاؤ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Their flesh and their food reach not Allah, but the devotion from you reacheth Him. Thus have We made them subject unto you that ye may magnify Allah that He hath guided you. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to the good. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is not their flesh or blood that reaches Allah; rather, it is your piety that reaches Him. Thus has He disposed them for your benefit so that you may magnify Allah for His guiding you. And give good news to the virtuous. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It is not the flesh and blood of your sacrifice that pleases God. What pleases God is your piety. God has made subservient to you the sacrificial animals so that perhaps you will glorify Him; He is guiding you. There does not reach Allah their flesh nor their blood, but to Him is acceptable the guarding (against evil) on your part; thus has He made them subservient to you, that you may magnify Allah because He has guided you aright; and give good news to those who do good (to others). - Shakir, Habib

خدا تک ان جانوروں کا گوشت جانے والا ہے اور نہ خون ... اس کی بارگاہ میں صرف تمہارا تقویٰ جاتا ہے اور اسی طرح ہم نے ان جانوروں کو تمہارا تابع بنادیا ہے کہ خدا کی دی ہوئی ہدایت پر اس کی کبریائی کا اعلان کرو اور نیک عمل والوں کو بشارت دے دو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نہ اُن کے گوشت اللہ کو پہنچتے ہیں نہ خون، مگر اُسے تمہارا تقویٰ پہنچتا ہے اُس نے ان کو تمہارے لیے اِس طرح مسخّر کیا ہے تاکہ اُس کی بخشی ہوئی ہدایت پر تم اُس کی تکبیر کرو اور اے نبیؐ، بشارت دے دے نیکو کار لوگوں کو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اللہ کو ہرگز نہ ان کے گوشت پہنچتے ہیں نہ ان کے خون ہاں تمہاری پرہیزگاری اس تک باریاب ہوتی ہے یونہی ان کو تمہارے پس میں کردیا کہ تم اللہ کی بڑائی بولو اس پر کہ تم کو ہدایت فرمائی، اور اے محبوب! خوشخبری سناؤ نیکی والوں کو - Ahmed Raza

نہ ان کا گوشت اللہ تک پہنچتا ہے اور نہ ان کا خون ہاں البتہ اس تک تمہارا تقویٰ پہنچتا ہے۔ اسی طرح ہم نے انہیں تمہارے لئے مسخر کیا ہے تاکہ تم اس کی دی ہوئی ہدایت پر اس کی کبریائی و بڑائی بیان کرو۔ اور (اے رسول) احسان کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری دے دو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Those who have been driven from their homes unjustly only because they said: Our Lord is Allah - For had it not been for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, cloisters and churches and oratories and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft mentioned, would assuredly have been pulled down. Verily Allah helpeth one who helpeth Him. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty - - Pickthall, Marmaduke

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو اپنے گھروں سے ناحق نکال دیے گئے صرف اِس قصور پر کہ وہ کہتے تھے ——ہمارا رب اللہ ہے—— اگر اللہ لوگوں کو ایک دوسرے کے ذریعے دفع نہ کرتا رہے تو خانقاہیں اور گرجا اور معبد اور مسجدیں، جن میں اللہ کا کثرت سے نام لیا جاتا ہے، سب مسمار کر ڈالی جائیں اللہ ضرور اُن لوگوں کی مدد کرے گا جو اس کی مدد کریں گے اللہ بڑا طاقتور اور زبردست ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ٱلَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَمَرُوا۟ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا۟ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْأُمُورِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Those who, if We give them power in the land, establish worship and pay the poor-due and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity. And Allah's is the sequel of events. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who, if We granted them power in the land, will maintain the prayer, give the zakat, bid what is right and forbid what is wrong. And with Allah rests the outcome of all matters. - Qarai, Ali Quli

He will certainly help those who, if given power in the land, will worship God through prayer, pay the religious tax, enjoin others do good, and prevent them from committing evil. The consequence of all things is in the hands of God. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if
يُكَذِّبُوكَ
they refute you
فَقَدْ
thus surely
كَذَّبَتْ
had lied
قَبْلَهُمْ
before them
قَوْمُ
nation of
نُوحٍۢ
Nooh,
وَعَادٌۭ
and 'Aad,
وَثَمُودُ
and Thamud.
And if they refute you thus surely had lied before them nation of Nooh, and 'Aad, and Thamud.

If they deny thee (Muhammad), even so the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, before thee, denied (Our messengers); - Pickthall, Marmaduke

If they impugn you, the people of Noah had impugned before them and [Ad and Thamud, - Qarai, Ali Quli

If they have called you, (Muhammad), a liar, (remember that) the people of Noah, Ad, Thamud, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And if they reject you, then already before you did the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood reject (prophets). - Shakir, Habib

Ibrahim,
وَقَوْمُ
and nation of
لُوطٍۢ
Loot.
And nation of Ibrahim, and nation of Loot.

And the folk of Abraham and the folk of Lot; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور قوم ابراہیم اور قوم لوط نے بھی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وَأَصْحَٰبُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

(And) the dwellers in Midian. And Moses was denied; but I indulged the disbelievers a long while, then I seized them, and how (terrible) was My abhorrence! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and the inhabitants of Midian, and Moses was also impugned. But I gave the faithless a respite, then I seized them and how was My rebuttal! - Qarai, Ali Quli

Midian, and Moses had also called their Prophets liars. I gave respite to the unbelievers, then sized them with torment. How terrible was that torment! - Sarwar, Muhammad

As well as those of Madyan and Musa (too) was rejected, but I gave respite to the unbelievers, then did I overtake them, so how (severe) was My disapproval. - Shakir, Habib

and the inhabitants of Midian also charged their prophets with falsehood. Moses was also rejected. I gave respite to those who denied the truth, but then I seized them. Consider then, how terrible My repudiation of them was. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اصحاب مدین نے بھی اور موسٰی کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا ہے تو ہم نے کفار کو مہلت دے دی اور پھر اس کے بعد انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا تو سب نے دیکھ لیا کہ ہمارا عذاب کیسا ہوتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اہل مدین بھی جھٹلا چکے ہیں اور موسیٰؑ بھی جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں ان سب منکرینِ حق کو میں نے پہلے مُہلت دی، پھر پکڑ لیا اب دیکھ لو کہ میری عقوبت کیسی تھی - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور مدین والے اور موسیٰ کی تکذیب ہوئی تو میں نے کافرو ں کو ڈھیل دی پھر انہیں پکڑا تو کیسا ہوا میرا عذاب - Ahmed Raza
