These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

These two contending groups contend concerning their Lord. As for those who are faithless, cloaks of fire will be cut out for them, and boiling water will be poured over their heads, - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Those who prostrate themselves before God and those who do not) are two groups who dispute with each other about their Lord. For the unbelievers the garment of fire has already been prepared. Boiling water will be poured upon their heads. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be allowed armlets of gold, and pearls, and their raiment therein will be silk. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed Allah will admit those who have faith and do righteous deeds into gardens with streams running in them, adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their dress therein will be silk. - Qarai, Ali Quli

God will admit the righteously striving believers to the gardens wherein streams flow. There they will be decked with gold bracelets, pearls, and garments of silk, - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good deeds enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and (with) pearls, and their garments therein shall be of silk. - Shakir, Habib

Lo! those who disbelieve and bar (men) from the way of Allah and from the Inviolable Place of Worship, which We have appointed for mankind together, the dweller therein and the nomad: whosoever seeketh wrongful partiality therein, him We shall cause to taste a painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed those who are faithless and bar from the way of Allah and the Sacred Mosque, which We have made for all people, the native and the visitor being equal therein—whoever wrongfully tries to commit violation in it, We shall make him taste a painful punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli

A painful torment awaits the pagans who create obstacles in the way that leads to God and the Sacred Mosque - which We have made for those who dwell nearby and foreigners alike - and those who commit evil and injustice therein. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely (as for) those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from Allah's way and from the Sacred Mosque which We have made equally for all men, (for) the dweller therein and (for) the visitor, and whoever shall incline therein to wrong unjustly, We will make him taste of a painful chastisement. - Shakir, Habib

As for those who deny the truth and debar others from God's path and from the Sacred Mosque which We set up for all people, natives and strangers alike, and all who seek to profane it by evil-doing -- We shall make them taste a painful punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

بیشک جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور لوگوں کو اللہ کے راستے اور مسجد الحرام سے روکتے ہیں جسے ہم نے تمام انسانوں کے لئے برابر سے قرار دیا ہے چاہے وہ مقامی ہوں یا باہر والے اور جو بھی اس مسجد میں ظلم کے ساتھ الحاد کا ارادہ کرے گا ہم اسے دردناک عذاب کا مزہ چکھائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور جو (آج) اللہ کے راستے سے روک رہے ہیں اور اُس مسجدِ حرام کی زیارت میں مانع ہیں جسے ہم نے سب لوگوں کے لیے بنایا ہے، جس میں مقامی باشندوں اور باہر سے آنے والوں کے حقوق برابر ہیں (اُن کی روش یقیناً سزا کی مستحق ہے) اِس (مسجدِ حرام) میں جو بھی راستی سے ہٹ کر ظلم کا طریقہ اختیار کرے گا اسے ہم درد ناک عذاب کا مزا چکھائیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بیشک وہ جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور روکتے ہیں اللہ کی راہ اور اس ادب والی مسجد سے جسے ہم نے سب لوگوں کے لیے مقرر کیا کہ اس میں ایک سا حق ہے وہاں کے رہنے والے اور پردیسی کا، اور جو اس میں کسی زیادتی کا ناحق ارادہ کرے ہم اسے دردناک عذاب چکھائیں گے - Ahmed Raza

جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور (لوگوں) کو خدا کے راستے سے روکتے ہیں اور اس مسجد سے جسے ہم نے (بلا امتیاز) سب لوگوں کیلئے (عبادت گاہ) بنایا ہے جس میں وہاں کے رہنے والے اور باہر سے آنے والے برابر ہیں اور جو بھی اس میں ظلم و زیادتی کے ساتھ غلط روی کا ارادہ کرے تو ہم اسے دردناک عذاب کا مزہ چکھائیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And (remember) when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (holy) House, saying: Ascribe thou no thing as partner unto Me, and purify My House for those who make the round (thereof) and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When We settled for Abraham the site of the House [saying], Do not ascribe any partners to Me, and purify My House for those who circle around it, and those who stand [in it for prayer], and those who bow and prostrate themselves. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When We prepared for Abraham the place to build the Sacred House, We told him not to consider anything equal to Me and to keep the House clean for those walking around it, those standing, bowing down, and prostrating in prayer. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اور اس وقت کو یاد دلائیں جب ہم نے ابراہیم علیھ السّلامکے لئے بیت اللہ کی جگہ مہیا کی کہ خبردار ہمارے بارے میں کسی طرح کا شرک نہ ہونے پائے اور تم ہمارے گھر کو طواف کرنے والے ,قیام کرنے والے اور رکوع و سجود کرنے والوں کے لئے پاک و پاکیزہ بنادو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو وہ وقت جب ہم نے ابراہیمؑ کے لیے اِس گھر (خانہ کعبہ) کی جگہ تجویز کی تھی (اِس ہدایت کے ساتھ) کہ ——میرے ساتھ کسی چیز کو شریک نہ کرو، اور میرے گھر کو طواف کرنے والوں اور قیام و رکوع و سجود کرنے والوں کے لیے پاک رکھو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

(We commanded Abraham), [Call people for hajj - an act of worship accomplished by visiting the sacred sites in Mecca.] They will come on foot and on lean camels from all the distant quarters - Sarwar, Muhammad

And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path, - Shakir, Habib

That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the name of Allah on appointed days over the beast of cattle that He hath bestowed upon them. Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor unfortunate. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

that they may witness the benefits for them, and mention Allah]s Name during the known days over the livestock He has provided them. So eat thereof and feed the destitute and the needy. - Qarai, Ali Quli

to see their benefits, commemorate the name of God during the appointed days, and offer the sacrifice of the cattle that God has given them. They themselves should consume part of the sacrificial flesh and give the rest to the destitute and needy people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

That they may witness advantages for them and mention the name of Allah during stated days over what He has given them of the cattle quadrupeds, then eat of them and feed the distressed one, the needy. - Shakir, Habib

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ ٱلرِّجْسَ مِنَ ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ قَوْلَ ٱلزُّورِ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

That (is the command). And whoso magnifieth the sacred things of Allah, it will be well for him in the sight of his Lord. The cattle are lawful unto you save that which hath been told you. So shun the filth of idols, and shun lying speech, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

That, and whoever venerates the sacraments of Allah, that is better for him with his Lord. You are permitted [animals of] grazing livestock except for what will be recited to you. So avoid the abomination of idols, and avoid false speech, - Qarai, Ali Quli

Such are the regulations of hajj. To respect the prohibitions of God is a virtuous deed in the sight of one's Lord. Consuming the flesh of certain animals is made lawful for you. Stay away from wickedness, idols, and false words. - Sarwar, Muhammad

That (shall be so); and whoever respects the sacred ordinances of Allah, it is better for him with his Lord; and the cattle are made lawful for you, except that which is recited to you, therefore avoid the uncleanness of the idols and avoid false words, - Shakir, Habib

Such is God's commandment. Whoever honours that which is declared sacred by God may be sure that it counts for good in the sight of his Lord. Livestock is lawful for you, except that which has already been explicitly forbidden. Then shun the abomination of the deities and shun all falsehood. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ ایک حکم خدا ہے اور جو شخص بھی خدا کی محترم چیزوں کی تعظیم کرے گا وہ اس کے حق میں پیش پروردگار بہتری کا سبب ہوگی اور تمہارے لئے تمام جانور حلال کردیئے گئے ہیں علاوہ ان کے جن کے بارے میں تم سے بیان کیا جائے گا لہذا تم ناپاک بتوں سے پرہیز کرتے رہو اور لغو اور مہمل باتوں سے اجتناب کرتے رہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ تھا (تعمیر کعبہ کا مقصد) اور جو کوئی اللہ کی قائم کردہ حرمتوں کا احترام کرے تو یہ اس کے رب کے نزدیک خود اسی کے لیے بہتر ہے اور تمہارے لیے مویشی جانور حلال کیے گئے، ما سوا اُن چیزوں کے جو تمہیں بتائی جا چکی ہیں پس بتوں کی گندگی سے بچو، جھوٹی باتوں سے پرہیز کرو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بات یہ ہے اور جو اللہ کی حرمتوں کی تعظیم کرے تو وہ اس کے لیے اس کے رب کے یہاں بھلا ہے، اور تمہارے لیے حلال کیے گئے بے زبان چوپائے سوا ان کے جن کی ممانعت تم پر پڑھی جاتی ہے تو دور ہو بتوں کی گندگی سے اور بچو جھوٹی بات سے، - Ahmed Raza
