وَكَانُوا۟

لَنَا

خَٰشِعِينَ

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًۭا وَرَهَبًۭا ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So We answered his prayer, and gave him John, and cured for him his wife [of infertility]. Indeed, they were active in [performing] good works, and they would supplicate Us with eagerness and awe and were humble before Us. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We answered his prayer and granted him his son, John, by making his wife fruitful. They were people who would compete with each other in good deeds and pray to Us with love and reverence. With Us they were all humble people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So We responded to him and gave him Yahya and made his wife fit for him; surely they used to hasten, one with another In deeds of goodness and to call upon Us, hoping and fearing and they were humble before Us. - Shakir, Habib

پس ہم نے اس کی دُعا قبول کی اور اسے یحییٰ عطا کیا اور اس کی بیوی کو اس کے لیے درست کر دیا یہ لوگ نیکی کے کاموں میں دَوڑ دھوپ کرتے تھے اور ہمیں رغبت اور خوف کے ساتھ پکارتے تھے، اور ہمارے آگے جھکے ہوئے تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو ہم نے اس کی دعا قبول کی اور اسے یحییٰ عطا فرمایا اور اس کے لیے اس کی بی بی سنواری بیشک وہ بھلے کاموں میں جلدی کرتے تھے اور ہمیں پکارتے تھے امید اور خوف سے، اور ہمارے حضور گڑگڑاتے ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And she who was chaste, therefor We breathed into her (something) of Our Spirit and made her and her son a token for (all) peoples. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور اس خاتون کو یاد کرو جس نے اپنی شرم کی حفاظت کی تو ہم نے اس میں اپنی طرف سے روح پھونک دی اور اسے اور اس کے فرزند کو تمام عالمین کے لئے اپنی نشانی قرار دے دیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَٰتِبُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
Then whoso doeth some good works and is a believer, there will be no rejection of his effort. Lo! We record (it) for him. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whoever is faithful and does righteous deeds, his endeavour shall not go unappreciated, and We will indeed record it for him. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
The reward of the righteously striving believers will not be neglected. We are keeping the record of their good deeds. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Therefore whoever shall do of good deeds and he is a believer, there shall be no denying of his exertion, and surely We will write (It) down for him. - Shakir, Habib

And there is a ban upon any community which We have destroyed: that they shall not return. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is forbidden for [the people of] any town that We have destroyed [to return to the world]: they shall not return, - Qarai, Ali Quli

The people whom We destroyed can never return to this world - Sarwar, Muhammad

It is ordained that no nation We have destroyed shall ever rise again, - Wahiduddin Khan

اور حرام ہے اس بستی پر جسے ہم نے ہلاک کردیا کہ پھر لوٹ کر آئیں - Ahmed Raza

اور جس بستی کو ہم نے ہلاک کر دیا اس کیلئے حرام ہے۔ یعنی وہ (دنیا میں) دوبارہ لوٹ کر نہیں آئیں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
And the True Promise draweth nigh; then behold them, staring wide (in terror), the eyes of those who disbelieve! (They say): Alas for us! We (lived) in forgetfulness of this. Ah, but we were wrong-doers! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

and the true promise draws near [to its fulfillment], behold, the faithless will look on with a fixed gaze: [Woe to us! We have certainly been oblivious of this! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Day of Judgment will then draw near and the unbelievers will stare amazedly and cry, [Woe to us! We had neglected this day. We have done wrong]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And the true promise shall draw nigh, then lo! the eyes of those who disbelieved shall be fixedly open: O woe to us! surely we were in a state of heedlessness as to this; nay, we were unjust. - Shakir, Habib

when the true promise of God draws near, those who denied the truth will stare in amazement, crying, [Woe to us! We have been so heedless of this. Indeed, we were wrongdoers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اللہ کا سچا وعدہ قریب آجائے گا تو سب دیکھیں گے کہ کفار کی آنکھیں پتھرا گئی ہیں اور وہ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ وائے بر حال ماہم اس طرف سے بالکل غفلت میں پڑے ہوئے تھے بلکہ ہم اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرنے والے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan
