Then gathered they apart and said: Lo! ye yourselves are the wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Thereat they came to themselves and said [to one another], [Indeed it is you who are the wrongdoers!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Thereupon they realized their own foolishness and said, [We ourselves are wrong-doers]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Then they turned to themselves and said: Surely you yourselves are the unjust; - Shakir, Habib

And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ

يَنفَعُكُمْ
gives you profit of
شَيْـًۭٔا
a thing,
وَلَا
neither
يَضُرُّكُمْ
gives you loss?]
He said, [Are you in obedience of someone who is beneath the One, that which (or who) not gives you profit of a thing, neither gives you loss?]

He said: Worship ye then instead of Allah that which cannot profit you at all, nor harm you? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [Then, do you worship besides Allah that which cannot cause you any benefit or harm? - Qarai, Ali Quli

He said, [Do you, instead of God, worship things that can neither harm nor benefit you?] - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: What! do you then serve besides Allah what brings you not any benefit at all, nor does it harm you? - Shakir, Habib

Abraham said, [So, do you worship something instead of God that can neither benefit you nor harm you? - Wahiduddin Khan

ابراہیم نے کہا کہ پھر تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر ایسے خداؤں کی عبادت کیوں کرتے ہو جو نہ کوئی فائدہ پہنچاسکتے ہیں اور نہ نقصان - Jawadi, Zeeshan

you use reason?]

وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةًۭ يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَٰبِدِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms, and they were worshippers of Us (alone). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We made them imams, guiding by Our command, and We revealed to them [concerning] the performance of good deeds, the maintenance of prayers, and the giving of zakat, and they used to worship Us. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We appointed them as leaders to guide the people through Our command and sent them revelation to strive for good deeds, worship their Lord, and pay religious tax. Both of them were Our worshipping servants. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve; - Shakir, Habib

اور ہم نے اُن کو امام بنا دیا جو ہمارے حکم سے رہنمائی کرتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں وحی کے ذریعہ نیک کاموں کی اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکوٰۃ دینے کی ہدایت کی، اور وہ ہمارے عبادت گزار تھے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے انہیں امام کیا کہ ہمارے حکم سے بلاتے ہیں اور ہم نے انہیں وحی بھیجی اچھے کام کرنے اور نماز برپا رکھنے اور زکوٰة دینے کی اور وہ ہماری بندگی کرتے تھے، - Ahmed Raza

وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًۭا وَعِلْمًۭا وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَ ۗ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍۢ فَٰسِقِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And unto Lot we gave judgment and knowledge, and We delivered him from the community that did abominations. Lo! they were folk of evil, lewd. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
