وَلَا
And do not
تَنكِحُوا۟
form an intimate relationship with
ٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ
religious women
حَتَّىٰ
until
يُؤْمِنَّ
they have conviction;
ۚ
وَلَأَمَةٌۭ
for an ordinary
مُّؤْمِنَةٌ
convinced woman is
خَيْرٌۭ
better
مِّن
than
مُّشْرِكَةٍۢ
a pagan woman
وَلَوْ
even if
أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ
she astonishes you;
ۗ
وَلَا
and do not
تُنكِحُوا۟
have intimate relations with
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
the religious men
حَتَّىٰ
until
يُؤْمِنُوا۟
they conform;
ۚ
وَلَعَبْدٌۭ
for a slave
مُّؤْمِنٌ
who is convinced is
خَيْرٌۭ
better
مِّن
than
مُّشْرِكٍۢ
a pagan man
وَلَوْ
even if
أَعْجَبَكُمْ
he amazes you;
ۗ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
they are
يَدْعُونَ
those who invite
إِلَى
towards
ٱلنَّارِ
the fire,
ۖ
وَٱللَّهُ
while the One
يَدْعُوٓا۟
invites
إِلَى
towards
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
the paradise
وَٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ
and forgiveness
بِإِذْنِهِۦ
through His command,
ۖ
وَيُبَيِّنُ
and He clarifies
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
His signs
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ
that perhaps they
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
may think about it.
٢
٢٢١
وَلَا تَنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ حَتَّىٰ يُؤْمِنَّ ۚ وَلَأَمَةٌۭ مُّؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌۭ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍۢ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ ۗ وَلَا تُنكِحُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّىٰ يُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ وَلَعَبْدٌۭ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌۭ مِّن مُّشْرِكٍۢ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۖ وَيُبَيِّنُ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And do not form an intimate relationship with religious women until they have conviction; for an ordinary convinced woman is better than a pagan woman even if she astonishes you; and do not have intimate relations with the religious men until they conform; for a slave who is convinced is better than a pagan man even if he amazes you; they are those who invite towards the fire, while the One invites towards the paradise and forgiveness through His command, and He clarifies His signs for the people that perhaps they may think about it.

Wed not idolatresses till they believe; for lo! a believing bondwoman is better than an idolatress though she please you; and give not your daughters in marriage to idolaters till they believe, for lo! a believing slave is better than an idolater though he please you. These invite unto the Fire, and Allah inviteth unto the Garden, and unto forgiveness by His grace, and expoundeth His revelations to mankind that haply they may remember.

Do not marry idolatresses until they embrace faith. A faithful slave girl is better than an idolatress, though she should impress you. And do not marry [your daughters] to idolaters until they embrace faith. A faithful slave is better than an idolater, though he should impress you. Those invite [others] to the Fire, but Allah invites to paradise and pardon, by His will, and He clarifies His signs for the people so that they may take admonition.

Do not marry pagan women unless they believe in God. A believing slave girl is better than an idolater, even though the idolaters may attract you. Do not marry pagan men unless they believe in God. A believing slave is better than an idolater, even though the idolater may attract you. The pagans invite you to the fire, but God invites you to Paradise and forgiveness through His will. God shows His evidence to people so that they may take heed.

And do not marry the idolatresses until they believe, and certainly a believing maid is better than an idolatress woman, even though she should please you; and do not give (believing women) in marriage to idolaters until they believe, and certainly a believing servant is better than an idolater, even though he should please you; these invite to the fire, and Allah invites to the garden and to forgiveness by His will, and makes clear His communications to men, that they may be mindful.

Do not marry women who associate partners with God until they believe. A believing bondwoman is better than a woman who associates partners with God, however pleasing she may appear to you. Nor give believing women in marriage to men who associate partners with God, till they have believed; a believing bondman is certainly better than a man who associates partners with God, even though he may please you. Such people call you to Hell-fire; but God calls you to Paradise and to forgiveness. He makes His messages clear to people, so that they might bear them in mind.

خبردار مشرک عورتوں سے اس وقت تک نکاح نہ کرنا جب تک ایمان نہ لے آئیں کہ ایک مومن کنیز مشرک آزاد عورت سے بہتر ہے چاہے وہ تمہیں کتنی ہی بھلی معلوم ہو اورمشرکین کو بھی لڑکیاں نہ دینا جب تک مسلمان نہ ہوجائیں کہ مسلمان غلام آزاد مشرک سے بہتر ہے چاہے وہ تمہیں کتنا ہی اچھا کیوں نہ معلوم ہو. یہ مشرکین تمہیں جہّنم کی دعوت دیتے ہیں اور خدا اپنے حکم سے جنّت اورمغفرت کی دعوت دیتا ہے اور اپنی آیتوں کو واضح کرکے بیان کرتاہے کہ شاید یہ لوگ سمجھ سکیں

تم مشرک عورتوں سے ہرگز نکاح نہ کرنا، جب تک کہ وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں ایک مومن لونڈی مشرک شریف زادی سے بہتر ہے، اگرچہ وہ تمہیں بہت پسند ہو اور اپنی عورتوں کے نکاح مشرک مردوں سے کبھی نہ کرنا، جب تک کہ وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں ایک مومن غلام مشرک شریف سے بہتر ہے اگرچہ وہ تمہیں بہت پسند ہو یہ لوگ تمہیں آگ کی طرف بلاتے ہیں اور اللہ اپنے اذن سے تم کو جنت اور مغفرت کی طرف بلاتا ہے، اور وہ اپنے احکام واضح طور پر لوگوں کے سامنے بیان کرتا ہے، توقع ہے کہ وہ سبق لیں گے اور نصیحت قبول کریں گے

(اے مسلمانو!) خبردار مشرک عورتوں سے اس وقت تک نکاح نہ کرو۔ جب تک وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں۔ (کیونکہ) ایک مؤمنہ کنیز مشرکہ (آزاد عورت) سے اچھی ہے اگرچہ (حسن و جمال میں) تمہیں کتنی ہی بھلی معلوم ہو۔ اور مشرک مردوں کے نکاح میں اس وقت تک نہ دو جب تک وہ ایمان نہ لے آئیں۔ بے شک مسلمان غلام مشرک (آزاد شوہر) سے بہتر ہے۔ اگرچہ وہ (مشرک) تمہیں کتنا ہی بھلا معلوم ہو۔ یہ لوگ تمہیں آگ کی طرف بلاتے ہیں اور خدا اپنے حکم سے (تمہیں) جنت اور مغفرت (بخشش) کی طرف بلاتا ہے۔ اور اپنے احکام کو لوگوں کے سامنے واضح طور پر بیان کرتا ہے تاکہ وہ نصیحت قبول کریں (اثر لیں)۔

And they ask you
عَنِ
regarding
ٱلْمَحِيضِ
the menstruation.
ۖ
قُلْ
Say.
هُوَ
[It is
أَذًۭى
painful,
فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟
so take off from duty,
ٱلنِّسَآءَ
the ladies
فِى
in
ٱلْمَحِيضِ
menstruation.
ۖ
وَلَا
And not
تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ
approach them
حَتَّىٰ
till
يَطْهُرْنَ
they become clean.
ۖ
فَإِذَا
Then when
تَطَهَّرْنَ
they clean themselves
فَأْتُوهُنَّ
then come to them
مِنْ
from
حَيْثُ
where
أَمَرَكُمُ
commands to you
ٱللَّهُ
the One;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
يُحِبُّ
loves
ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ
the returners
وَيُحِبُّ
and loves
ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
the ones who are clean.]

٢٢٢
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلْمَحِيضِ ۖ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًۭى فَٱعْتَزِلُوا۟ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فِى ٱلْمَحِيضِ ۖ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ ۖ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلتَّوَّٰبِينَ وَيُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
And they ask you regarding the menstruation. Say. [It is painful, so take off from duty, the ladies in menstruation. And not approach them till they become clean. Then when they clean themselves then come to them from where commands to you the One; surely the One loves the returners and loves the ones who are clean.]

They question thee (O Muhammad) concerning menstruation. Say: It is an illness, so let women alone at such times and go not in unto them till they are cleansed. And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allah hath enjoined upon you. Truly Allah loveth those who turn unto Him, and loveth those who have a care for cleanness.

They ask you concerning [intercourse during] menses. Say, [It is hurtful.] So keep away from wives during the menses, and do not approach them till they are clean. And when they become clean, go into them as Allah has commanded you. Indeed Allah loves the penitent and He loves those who keep clean.

They ask you about women's menses. Tell them, [It is an ailment. Avoid having carnal relations with them until their period is over.] Then you may have carnal relations with them according to the rules of God. God loves those who repent and those who purify themselves.

Say: It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.

اور اے پیغمبر یہ لوگ تم سے ایاّم حیض کے بارے میں سوال کرتے ہیں تو کہہ دو کہ حیض ایک اذیت اور تکلیف ہے لہذا اس زمانے میں عورتوں سے الگ رہو اور جب تک پاک نہ ہوجائیں ان کے قریب نہ جاؤ پھر جب پاک ہوجائیں تو جس طرح سے خدا نے حکم دیا ہے اس طرح ان کے پاس جاؤ. بہ تحقیق خدا توبہ کرنے والوں اور پاکیزہ رہنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے

پوچھتے ہیں: حیض کا کیا حکم ہے؟ کہو: وہ ایک گندگی کی حالت ہے اس میں عورتوں سے الگ رہو اور ان کے قریب نہ جاؤ، جب تک کہ وہ پاک صاف نہ ہو جائیں پھر جب وہ پاک ہو جائیں، تو اُن کے پاس جاؤ اُس طرح جیسا کہ اللہ نے تم کو حکم دیا ہے اللہ اُن لوگوں کو پسند کرتا ہے، جو بدی سے باز رہیں اور پاکیزگی اختیار کریں

Your women are
حَرْثٌۭ
a cradle of civilization
لَّكُمْ
for you,
فَأْتُوا۟
thus come to
حَرْثَكُمْ
your cradle
أَنَّىٰ
how
شِئْتُمْ
you wish;
ۖ
وَقَدِّمُوا۟
and put forth
لِأَنفُسِكُمْ
for yourselves;
ۚ
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
and be aware of
ٱللَّهَ
the One,
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
and know
أَنَّكُم
that you all
مُّلَٰقُوهُ
will meet Him;
ۗ
وَبَشِّرِ
and give good news to
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the ones of trust.
٢
٢٢٣
نِسَآؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌۭ لَّكُمْ فَأْتُوا۟ حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّىٰ شِئْتُمْ ۖ وَقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُم مُّلَٰقُوهُ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Your women are a cradle of civilization for you, thus come to your cradle how you wish; and put forth for yourselves; and be aware of the One, and know that you all will meet Him; and give good news to the ones of trust.

Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad).

Your women are a tillage for you, so come to your tillage whenever you like, and send ahead for your souls, and be Godwary, and know that you will encounter Him; and give good news to the faithful.

Your wives are as fields for you. You may enter your fields from any place you want. Reserve something good for your souls (for the life hereafter). Have fear of God and know that you are going to meet Him. (Muhammad) give the glad news to the believers.

Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth when you like, and do good beforehand for yourselves, and be careful (of your duty) to Allah, and know that you will meet Him, and give good news to the believers.

وَلَا
And do not
تَجْعَلُوا۟
make
ٱللَّهَ
the One
عُرْضَةًۭ
an excuse
لِّأَيْمَٰنِكُمْ
for your oaths
أَن
that
تَبَرُّوا۟
you be vindicated,
وَتَتَّقُوا۟
and be aware,
وَتُصْلِحُوا۟
and make peace
بَيْنَ
between
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
سَمِيعٌ
hearing,
عَلِيمٌۭ
well informed.

٢٢٤
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عُرْضَةًۭ لِّأَيْمَٰنِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ وَتُصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ
And do not make the One an excuse for your oaths that you be vindicated, and be aware, and make peace between the people; and the One is hearing, well informed.

And make not Allah, by your oaths, a hindrance to your being righteous and observing your duty unto Him and making peace among mankind. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

Not
يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ
seizes you
ٱللَّهُ
the One
بِٱللَّغْوِ
by the mistake
فِىٓ

أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ
your oaths,
وَلَٰكِن
rather
يُؤَاخِذُكُم
accepts from you
بِمَا
with what
كَسَبَتْ
have earned
قُلُوبُكُمْ
your hearts;
ۗ
وَٱللَّهُ
and the One is
غَفُورٌ
forgiving,
حَلِيمٌۭ
patient.

٢٢٥
لَّا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا كَسَبَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌۭ
Not seizes you the One by the mistake in your oaths, rather accepts from you with what have earned your hearts; and the One is forgiving, patient.

Allah will not take you to task for that which is unintentional in your oaths. But He will take you to task for that which your hearts have garnered. Allah is Forgiving, Clement.

For the ones who
يُؤْلُونَ
revert
مِن

their women,
تَرَبُّصُ
wait for
أَرْبَعَةِ

أَشْهُرٍۢ
months;
ۖ
فَإِن
then if
فَآءُو
you come back,
فَإِنَّ
then it is that
ٱللَّهَ
the One is
غَفُورٌۭ
forgiving,
رَّحِيمٌۭ
merciful (as well).

٢٢٦
لِّلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِن نِّسَآئِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍۢ ۖ فَإِن فَآءُو فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
For the ones who revert from their women, wait for four months; then if you come back, then it is that the One is forgiving, merciful (as well).

Those who forswear their wives must wait four months; then, if they change their mind, lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

عَلِيمٌۭ
is well informed.

وَإِنْ عَزَمُوا۟ ٱلطَّلَٰقَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌۭ
And if become determined for the divorce, then the the One is hearing, is well informed.

And if they decide upon divorce (let them remember that) Allah is Hearer, Knower.

وَٱلْمُطَلَّقَٰتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَٰثَةَ قُرُوٓءٍۢ ۚ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِىٓ أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۚ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوٓا۟ إِصْلَٰحًۭا ۚ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَيْهِنَّ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌۭ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Women who are divorced shall wait, keeping themselves apart, three (monthly) courses. And it is not lawful for them that they should conceal that which Allah hath created in their wombs if they are believers in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands would do better to take them back in that case if they desire a reconciliation. And they (women) have rights similar to those (of men) over them in kindness, and men are a degree above them. Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Divorced women shall wait by themselves for three periods of purity [after menses], and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day; and their husbands have a greater right to restore them during this [duration], if they desire reconcilement. The wives have rights similar to the obligations upon them, in accordance with honourable norms; and men have a degree above them, and Allah is all-mighty and all-wise.

If they believe in God and the Day of Judgment, it is not lawful for them to hide what God has created in their wombs. Within their waiting period their husbands have the right to resume marital relations, if they want reconciliation. Women have benefits as well as responsibilities. Men have a status above women. God is Majestic and Wise.

جن عورتوں کو طلاق دی گئی ہو، وہ تین مرتبہ ایام ماہواری آنے تک اپنے آپ کو روکے رکھیں اور اُن کے لیے یہ جائز نہیں ہے کہ اللہ نے اُن کے رحم میں جو کچھ خلق فرمایا ہو، اُسے چھپائیں اُنہیں ہرگز ایسا نہ کرنا چاہیے، اگر وہ اللہ اور روز آخر پر ایمان رکھتی ہیں اُن کے شوہر تعلقات درست کر لینے پر آمادہ ہوں، تو وہ اِس عدت کے دوران اُنہیں پھر اپنی زوجیت میں واپس لے لینے کے حق دار ہیں عورتوں کے لیے بھی معروف طریقے پر ویسے ہی حقوق ہیں، جیسے مردوں کے حقوق اُن پر ہیں البتہ مردوں کو اُن پر ایک درجہ حاصل ہے اور سب پر اللہ غالب اقتدار رکھنے والا اور حکیم و دانا موجود ہے

اور جن عورتوں کو طلاق دی جائے تو وہ اپنے آپ کو (عقد ثانی) سے روکیں۔ تین مرتبہ ایام ماہواری سے پاک ہونے تک۔ اور اگر وہ خدا اور روزِ جزاء پر ایمان رکھتی ہیں تو ان کے لئے یہ جائز نہیں ہے کہ اسے چھپائیں۔ جوکہ خدا نے ان کے رحموں (شکموں) میں پیدا کیا ہے۔ اور اس دوران ان کے شوہر اگر تعلقات بحال کرنا چاہیں تو وہ انہیں واپس بلانے (اور اپنی زوجیت میں رکھنے کے) زیادہ حقدار ہیں اور اس دوران دستورِ شریعت کے مطابق عورتوں کے کچھ حقوق ہیں جس طرح کہ مردوں کے حقوق ہیں ہاں البتہ مردوں کو ان پر ایک درجہ فوقیت ہے۔ خدا زبردست (حاکم) اور حکمت والا ہے۔

ٱلطَّلَٰقُ مَرَّتَانِ ۖ فَإِمْسَاكٌۢ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌۢ بِإِحْسَٰنٍۢ ۗ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُوا۟ مِمَّآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّآ أَن يَخَافَآ أَلَّا يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا ٱفْتَدَتْ بِهِۦ ۗ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا تَعْتَدُوهَا ۚ وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ

Divorce must be pronounced twice and then (a woman) must be retained in honour or released in kindness. And it is not lawful for you that ye take from women aught of that which ye have given them; except (in the case) when both fear that they may not be able to keep within the limits (imposed by) Allah. And if ye fear that they may not be able to keep the limits of Allah, in that case it is no sin for either of them if the woman ransom herself. These are the limits (imposed by) Allah. Transgress them not. For whoso transgresseth Allah's limits: such are wrong-doers.

[Revocable] divorce may be only twice; then [let there be] either an honourable retention, or a kindly release. These are Allah]s bounds, so do not transgress them, and whoever transgresses the bounds of Allah—it is they who are the wrongdoers.

A marital relation can only be resumed after the first and second divorce, otherwise it must be continued with fairness or terminated with kindness. It is not lawful for you to take back from women what you have given them unless you are afraid of not being able to observe God's law. In this case, it would be no sin for her to pay a ransom to set herself free from the bond of marriage. These are the laws of God. Do not transgress against them; those who do so are unjust.

Divorce may be (pronounced) twice, then keep (them) in good fellowship or let (them) go with kindness; and it is not lawful for you to take any part of what you have given them, unless both fear that they cannot keep within the limits of Allah; then if you fear that they cannot keep within the limits of Allah, there is no blame on them for what she gives up to become free thereby. These are the limits of Allah, so do not exceed them and whoever exceeds the limits of Allah these it is that are the unjust.

طلاق دو مرتبہ دی جائے گی. اس کے بعد یا نیکی کے ساتھ روک لیا جائے گا یا حسنِ سلوک کے ساتھ آزاد کردیا جائے گا اور تمہارے لئے جائز نہیں ہے کہ جو کچھ انہیں دے دیا ہے اس میں سے کچھ واپس لو مگر یہ کہ یہ اندیشہ ہو کہ دونوں حدود الٰہی کو قائم نہ رکھ سکیں گے تو جب تمہیں یہ خوف پیدا ہوجائے کہ وہ دونوں حدود الٰہی کو قائم نہ رکھ سکیں گے تو دونوں کے لئے آزادی ہے اس فدیہ کے بارے میں جو عورت مرد کو دے. لیکن یہ حدود الہٰیہ ہیں ان سے تجاوز نہ کرنا اور جو حدود الٰہی سے تجاوز کرے گا وہ ظالمین میں شمار ہوگا

طلاق دو بار ہے پھر یا تو سیدھی طرح عورت کو روک لیا جائے یا بھلے طریقے سے اس کو رخصت کر دیا جائے اور رخصت کر تے ہوئے ایسا کرنا تمہارے لیے جائز نہیں ہے کہ جو کچھ تم انہیں دے چکے ہو، اُس میں سے کچھ واپس لے لو البتہ یہ صورت مستثنیٰ ہے کہ زوجین کو اللہ کے حدود پر قائم نہ رہ سکنے کا اندیشہ ہو ایسی صورت میں اگر تمہیں یہ خوف ہو کہ وہ دونوں حدود الٰہی پر قائم نہ رہیں گے، تو اُن دونوں کے درمیان یہ معاملہ ہو جانے میں مضائقہ نہیں کہ عورت اپنے شوہر کو کچھ معاوضہ دے کر علیحدگی حاصل کر لے یہ اللہ کے مقرر کردہ حدود ہیں، اِن سے تجاوز نہ کرو اور جو لوگ حدود الٰہی سے تجاوز کریں، وہی ظالم ہیں

یہ طلاق دو بار تک ہے پھر بھلائی کے ساتھ روک لینا ہے یا نکوئی (اچھے سلوک) کے ساتھ چھوڑ دینا ہے اور تمہیں روا نہیں کہ جو کچھ عورتوں کو دیا اس میں سے کچھ واپس لو مگر جب دونوں کو اندیشہ ہو کہ اللہ کی حدیں قائم نہ کریں گے پھر اگر تمہیں خوف ہو کہ وہ دونوں ٹھیک انہیں حدوں پر نہ رہیں گے تو ان پر کچھ گناہ نہیں اس میں جو بدلہ دے کر عورت چھٹی لے، یہ اللہ کی حدیں ہیں ان سے آگے نہ بڑھو اور جو اللہ کی حدوں سے آگے بڑھے تو وہی لوگ ظالم ہیں،

اور طلاق (رجعی) دو ہی مرتبہ ہے اس کے بعد یا تو اچھے طریقہ سے روک لیا جائے گا یا بھلائی کے ساتھ رخصت کر دیا جائے گا۔ اور تمہارے لئے جائز نہیں ہے کہ جو کچھ انہیں (بطورِ زر مہر اور ہدیہ و تحفہ) دے چکے ہو اس میں سے کچھ واپس لو مگر یہ کہ ان دونوں (میاں بیوی) کو اندیشہ ہو کہ وہ خدا کی قائم کردہ حدود کو قائم نہیں رکھ سکیں گے تو پھر (اے مسلمانو!) تمہیں بھی یہ خوف ہو کہ وہ حدودِ الٰہیہ کو قائم نہیں رکھ سکیں گے تو (اس صورت میں) عورت کو (بطورِ فدیہ خلع) کچھ معاوضہ دینا چاہیے (اور دے کر اپنی جان چھڑانا چاہیے) تو اس میں دونوں پر کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے۔ یہ خدا کی مقرر کردہ حدیں ہیں ان سے آگے نہ بڑھو۔ اور جو لوگ خدا کی مقرر کی ہوئی حدوں سے آگے بڑھتے ہیں وہی لوگ ظالم ہیں۔

And if he hath divorced her (the third time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she hath wedded another husband. Then if he (the other husband) divorce her it is no sin for both of them that they come together again if they consider that they are able to observe the limits of Allah. These are the limits of Allah. He manifesteth them for people who have knowledge.

پھر اگر (دو بارہ طلاق دینے کے بعد شوہر نے عورت کو تیسری بار) طلاق دے دی تو وہ عورت پھر اس کے لیے حلال نہ ہوگی، الّا یہ کہ اس کا نکاح کسی دوسرے شخص سے ہو اور وہ اسے طلاق دیدے تب اگر پہلا شوہر اور یہ عورت دونوں یہ خیال کریں کہ حدود الٰہی پر قائم رہیں گے، تو ان کے لیے ایک دوسرے کی طرف رجو ع کر لینے میں کوئی مضائقہ نہیں یہ اللہ کی مقرر کردہ حدیں ہیں، جنہیں وہ اُن لوگوں کی ہدایت کے لیے واضح کر رہا ہے، جو (اس کی حدود کو توڑنے کا انجام) جانتے ہیں

When ye have divorced women, and they have reached their term, then retain them in kindness or release them in kindness. Retain them not to their hurt so that ye transgress (the limits). He who doeth that hath wronged his soul. Make not the revelations of Allah a laughing-stock (by your behaviour), but remember Allah's grace upon you and that which He hath revealed unto you of the Scripture and of wisdom, whereby He doth exhort you. Observe your duty to Allah and know that Allah is Aware of all things.

Do not take the signs of Allah in derision, and remember Allah]s blessing upon you, and what He has sent down to you of the Book and wisdom, to advise you therewith. When you divorce your wives and their waiting period has almost ended, you may resume marital relations with honor or leave them with kindness. Do not force them to live with you in suffering to satisfy your hostility. Whoever commits such transgressions, he has only harmed himself. Do not make jest of God's words. Remember the favors that God has done to you and the Book and wisdom He has revealed for your guidance. Have fear of God and know that God has knowledge of all things.

And when you divorce women and they reach their prescribed time, then either retain them in good fellowship or set them free with liberality, and do not retain them for injury, so that you exceed the limits, and whoever does this, he indeed is unjust to his own soul; and do not take Allah's communications for a mockery, and remember the favor of Allah upon you, and that which He has revealed to you of the Book and the Wisdom, admonishing you thereby; and be careful (of your duty to) Allah, and know that Allah is the Knower of all things.

اور جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دے دو اور ان کی عدت پوری ہونے کو آ جائے، تو یا بھلے طریقے سے انہیں روک لو یا بھلے طریقے سے رخصت کر دو محض ستانے کی خاطر انہیں نہ روکے رکھنا یہ زیادتی ہوگی اور جو ایسا کرے گا، وہ در حقیقت آپ اپنے ہی اوپر ظلم کرے گا اللہ کی آیات کا کھیل نہ بناؤ بھول نہ جاؤ کہ اللہ نے کس نعمت عظمیٰ سے تمہیں سرفراز کیا ہے وہ تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے کہ جو کتاب اور حکمت اُس نے تم پر نازل کی ہے، اس کا احترام ملحوظ رکھو اللہ سے ڈرو اور خوب جان لو کہ اللہ کو ہر بات کی خبر ہے

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
