ٱلَّذِينَ
The ones
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
to whom We gave
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ
know it
كَمَا
as how
يَعْرِفُونَ
they know
أَبْنَآءَهُمْ
their own offsprings;
ۖ
وَإِنَّ
and that
فَرِيقًۭا
sectarians
مِّنْهُمْ
from them
لَيَكْتُمُونَ
attempt to hide
ٱلْحَقَّ
the truth
وَهُمْ
while they
يَعْلَمُونَ
know.
٢
١٤٦
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًۭا مِّنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ The ones to whom We gave the Book know it as how they know their own offsprings; and that sectarians from them attempt to hide the truth while they know.

Those unto whom We gave the Scripture recognise (this revelation) as they recognise their sons. But lo! a party of them knowingly conceal the truth. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those whom We have given the Book recognize him just as they recognize their sons, but a part of them indeed conceal the truth while they know. - Qarai, Ali Quli

جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب (تورات وغیرہ) دی ہے وہ اس (رسول(ص)) کو اس طرح پہچانتے ہیں، جس طرح اپنی اولاد کو پہچانتے ہیں (مگر اس کے باوجود) ان کا ایک گروہ جان بوجھ کر حق کو چھپا رہا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلْحَقُّ
The Truth is
مِن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Rabb,
ۖ
فَلَا
so do not
تَكُونَنَّ
you become
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
the disputers.
The Truth is from your Rabb, so do not you become from the disputers.

It is the Truth from thy Lord (O Muhammad), so be not thou of those who waver. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اے رسول یہ حق آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے ہے لہٰذاآپ ان شک وشبہ کرنے والوں میں نہ ہوجائیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ قطعی ایک امر حق ہے تمہارے رب کی طرف سے، لہٰذا اس کے متعلق تم ہرگز کسی شک میں نہ پڑو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

(اے سننے والو) یہ حق ہے تیرے رب کی طرف سے (یا حق وہی ہے جو تیرے رب کی طرف سے ہو) تو خبردار توشک نہ کرنا - - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول(ص)! تحویل قبلہ وغیرہ) برحق ہے اور تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے ہے لہٰذا ہرگز شک و شبہ کرنے والوں یا جھگڑا کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہونا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And for everyone is
وِجْهَةٌ
an aim
هُوَ
he
مُوَلِّيهَا
to which turns,
ۖ
فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟
so you proceed towards
ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ
the betterments;
ۚ
أَيْنَ
wherever,
مَا
however
تَكُونُوا۟
you are,
يَأْتِ
will bring
بِكُمُ
about you all
ٱللَّهُ
— the One —
جَمِيعًا
collectively;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱللَّهَ
the One
عَلَىٰ
upon
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍۢ
things is
قَدِيرٌۭ
competent.
٢
١٤٨
وَلِكُلٍّۢ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا۟ يَأْتِ بِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ And for everyone is an aim he to which turns, so you proceed towards the betterments; wherever, however you are, will bring about you all — the One — collectively; surely the One upon all things is competent.

And each one hath a goal toward which he turneth; so vie with one another in good works. Wheresoever ye may be, Allah will bring you all together. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Everyone has a cynosure to which he turns; so take the lead in all good works. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you all together. Indeed Allah has power over all things. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Every one pursues his goal. Compete with each other in performing good deeds. Wherever you are, God will bring you all together. God has power over all things. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And every one has a direction to which he should turn, therefore hasten to (do) good works; wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together; surely Allah has power over all things. - Shakir, Habib

Each community has its own direction in which it turns: vie, then, with one another in doing good works. Wherever you may be, God will bring you all before Him. God has power over all things. - Wahiduddin Khan

ہر ایک کے لئے ایک رخ معین ہے اور وہ اسی کی طرف منہ کرتا ہے. اب تم نیکیوں کی طرف سبقت کرو اور تم سب جہاں بھی رہوگے خدا ایک دن سب کو جمع کردے گا کہ وہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہر ایک کے لیے ایک رُخ ہے، جس کی طرف وہ مڑتا ہے پس بھلا ئیوں کی طرف سبقت کرو جہاں بھی تم ہو گے، اللہ تمہیں پا لے گا اُس کی قدرت سے کوئی چیز باہر نہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہر ایک کے لئے توجہ ایک سمعت ہے کہ وہ اسی طرف منہ کرتا ہے تو یہ چاہو کہ نیکیوں میں اوروں سے آگے نکل جائیں تو کہیں ہو اللہ تم سب کو اکٹھا لے آئے گا بیشک اللہ جو چاہے کرے- - Ahmed Raza

اور ہر ایک کے لئے ایک سمت ہے جدھر وہ (نماز کے لیے) منہ کرتا ہے (اے مسلمانو! تم اس نزاع کو چھوڑ دو) پس تم بڑھ چڑھ کر نیکیوں کی طرف سبقت کرو۔ تم جہاں بھی ہوگے اللہ تم سب کو (جزا و سزا کے لئے ایک جگہ) لے آئے گا۔ بے شک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And from
حَيْثُ
wherever
خَرَجْتَ
you come from,
فَوَلِّ
thus turn
وَجْهَكَ
your target
شَطْرَ
towards
ٱلْمَسْجِدِ
the Institute of
ٱلْحَرَامِ
Inviolation;
ۖ
وَإِنَّهُۥ
and indeed it is
لَلْحَقُّ
of the truth
مِن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Rabb!
ۗ
وَمَا
And not is
ٱللَّهُ
the One
بِغَٰفِلٍ
with unawareness
عَمَّا
over what
تَعْمَلُونَ
you are doing.
٢
١٤٩
وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ And from wherever you come from, thus turn your target towards the Institute of Inviolation; and indeed it is of the truth from your Rabb! And not is the One with unawareness over what you are doing.

And whencesoever thou comest forth (for prayer, O Muhammad) turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship. Lo! it is the Truth from thy Lord. Allah is not unaware of what ye do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whencesoever you may go out, turn your face towards the Holy Mosque. Indeed it is the truth from your Lord, and Allah is not oblivious of what you do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad), wherever you go, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque (in Mecca). This is the truth from your Lord who is not unaware of what you do - Sarwar, Muhammad

And from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque; and surely it is the very truth from your Lord, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do. - Shakir, Habib

Wherever you set out from, turn your face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque -- this is the truth from your Lord: He is not unaware of what you do -- - Wahiduddin Khan

پیغمبر آپ جہاںسے باہر نکلیں اپنا رخ مسجد الحرام کی سمت ہی رکھیں کہ یہی پروردگار کی طرف سے حق ہے--- اور اللہ تم لوگوںکے اعمال سے غافل نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

تمہارا گزر جس مقام سے بھی ہو، وہیں اپنا رُخ (نماز کے وقت) مسجد حرام کی طرف پھیر دو، کیونکہ یہ تمہارے رب کا بالکل حق فیصلہ ہے اور اللہ تم لوگوں کے اعمال سے بے خبر نہیں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جہاں سے ا ٓ ؤ اپنا منہ مسجد حرام کی طرف کرو اور وہ ضرور تمہارے رب کی طرف سے حق ہے اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے غافل نہیں- - Ahmed Raza

اور (اے پیغمبر(ص)) آپ جب بھی کہیں نکلیں تو (نماز کے وقت) اپنا رخ مسجد حرام کی طرف رکھیں۔ بے شک یہ (تبدیلی قبلہ) آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے حق ہے اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے غافل و بے خبر نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلْمَسْجِدِ
the Institute of
ٱلْحَرَامِ
Inviolation;
ۚ
وَحَيْثُ
And wherever
مَا
however
كُنتُمْ
you happen to be,
فَوَلُّوا۟
thus turn
وُجُوهَكُمْ
your collective attentions
شَطْرَهُۥ
towards it,
لِئَلَّا
so that not
يَكُونَ
there be
لِلنَّاسِ
for the general populace
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
حُجَّةٌ
any argument,
إِلَّا
except by
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ظَلَمُوا۟
are in darkness
مِنْهُمْ
from them;
فَلَا
thus not
تَخْشَوْهُمْ
you fear them
وَٱخْشَوْنِى
and fear Me,
وَلِأُتِمَّ
and to complete
نِعْمَتِى
My favour
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you,
وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
and in order for you to
تَهْتَدُونَ
be guided.

١٥٠
وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ ۚ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُۥ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ حُجَّةٌ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِى وَلِأُتِمَّ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ And from wherever you originate from, thus turn your aim towards the Institute of Inviolation; And wherever however you happen to be, thus turn your collective attentions towards it, so that not there be for the general populace upon you any argument, except by the ones who are in darkness from them; thus not you fear them and fear Me, and to complete My favour upon you, and in order for you to be guided.

Whencesoever thou comest forth turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship; and wheresoever ye may be (O Muslims) turn your faces toward it (when ye pray) so that men may have no argument against you, save such of them as do injustice - Fear them not, but fear Me! - and so that I may complete My grace upon you, and that ye may be guided. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And whencesoever you may go out, turn your face towards the Holy Mosque, and wherever you may be, turn your faces towards it, so that the people may have no allegation against you, neither those of them who are wrongdoers. So do not fear them, but fear Me, that I may complete My blessing on you and so that you may be guided. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Muhammad) wherever you go, turn your face to the Sacred Mosque and Muslims, wherever you are, turn your faces in the same direction so that no group of people, except the unjust among them, would have any reason against you and so that I may establish My commandments for your people to have proper guidance. (The unjust may criticize you) but do not fear them, fear only Me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque; and wherever you are turn your faces towards it, so that people shall have no accusation against you, except such of them as are unjust; so do not fear them, and fear Me, that I may complete My favor on you and that you may walk on the right course. - Shakir, Habib

اور آپ جہاں سے بھی نکلیں اپنا رخ خانئہ کعبہ کی طرف رکھیں اور پھر تم سب جہاں رہو تم سب بھی اپنا رخ ادھر ہی رکھو تاکہ لوگوں کے لئے تمہارے اوپر کوئی حجت نہ رہ جائے سوائے ان لوگوں کے کہ جو ظالم ہیں تو ان کا خوف نہ کرو بلکہ اللہ سے ڈرو کہ ہم تم پر اپنی نعمت تمام کردینا چاہتے ہیں کہ شاید تم ہدایت یافتہ ہوجاؤ - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جہاں سے بھی تمہارا گزر ہو، اپنا رُخ مسجد حرام کی طرف پھیرا کرو، اور جہاں بھی تم ہو، اُسی کی طرف منہ کر کے نما ز پڑھو تاکہ لوگوں کو تمہارے خلاف کوئی حجت نہ ملے ہاں جو ظالم ہیں، اُن کی زبان کسی حال میں بند نہ ہوگی تو اُن سے تم نہ ڈرو، بلکہ مجھ سے ڈرو اور اس لیے کہ میں تم پر اپنی نعمت پوری کر دوں اور اس توقع پر کہ میرے اس حکم کی پیروی سے تم اسی طرح فلاح کا راستہ پاؤ گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے محبوب تم جہاں سے آ ؤ اپنا منہ مسجد حرام کی طرف کرو اور اے مسلمانو! تم جہاں کہیں ہو اپنا منہ اسی کی طرف کرو کہ لوگوں کو تم پر کوئی حجت نہ رہے مگر جو ان میں ناانصافی کریں تو ان سے نہ ڈرو اور مجھ سے ڈرو اور یہ اس لئے ہے کہ میں اپنی نعمت تم پر پوری کروں اور کسی طرح تم ہدایت پاؤ، - Ahmed Raza

اور آپ جب بھی کہیں نکلیں تو (نماز کے وقت) اپنا منہ مسجد الحرام کی طرف ہی موڑیں اور (اے مسلمانو!) تم بھی جہاں کہیں ہو (نماز کے وقت) اپنے مونہوں کو اسی (مسجد الحرام) کی طرف ہی کر لیا کرو۔ (اس حکم کی بار بار تکرار سے ایک غرض یہ ہے کہ) تاکہ لوگوں (مخالفین) کو تمہارے خلاف کوئی دلیل نہ ملے۔ سوا ان لوگوں کے لیے جو ظالم ہیں (کہ ان کی زبان تو کسی طرح بھی بند نہیں ہو سکتی)۔ تو تم ان سے نہ ڈرو بلکہ مجھ سے ڈرو (دوسری غرض یہ ہے) کہ تم پر میری نعمت تام و تمام ہو جائے (اور تیسری غرض یہ ہے) کہ شاید تم ہدایت یافتہ ہو جاؤ ۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

As how
أَرْسَلْنَا
We have sent
فِيكُمْ
in you
رَسُولًۭا
a messenger
مِّنكُمْ
from you
يَتْلُوا۟
reading
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
ءَايَٰتِنَا
Our signs,
وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ
and emancipates you,
وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ
and teaches you
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
and the wisdom,
وَيُعَلِّمُكُم
and teaches you
مَّا
what
لَمْ
not
تَكُونُوا۟
you were
تَعْلَمُونَ
of knowing.
٢
١٥١
كَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولًۭا مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْلَمُونَ As how We have sent in you a messenger from you reading upon you Our signs, and emancipates you, and teaches you the Book and the wisdom, and teaches you what not you were of knowing.

Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you Our revelations and causeth you to grow, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and teacheth you that which ye knew not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Even as We sent to you an apostle from among yourselves, who recites to you Our signs and purifies you, and teaches you the Book and wisdom, and teaches you what you did not know. - Qarai, Ali Quli

فَٱذْكُرُونِىٓ
Thus remember Me,
أَذْكُرْكُمْ
I remember you,
وَٱشْكُرُوا۟
and be thankful
لِى
for Me
وَلَا
and do not
تَكْفُرُونِ
be in denial.
Thus remember Me, I remember you, and be thankful for Me and do not be in denial.

Therefore remember Me, I will remember you. Give thanks to Me, and reject not Me. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Be aided
بِٱلصَّبْرِ
with perseverance
وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
and the disciplined unity;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely is
ٱللَّهَ
the One
مَعَ
with
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
the persevering ones.
٢
١٥٣
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ O you of the ones who are of firm conviction! Be aided with perseverance and the disciplined unity; surely is the One with the persevering ones.

O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O you who have faith! Take recourse in patience and prayer; indeed Allah is with the patient. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Believers, help yourselves (in your affairs) through patience and prayer; God is with those who have patience. - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَلَا
And do not
تَقُولُوا۟
declare
لِمَن
for those who
يُقْتَلُ
have been killed
فِى
in
سَبِيلِ
path of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
أَمْوَٰتٌۢ
as dead.
ۚ
بَلْ
No!
أَحْيَآءٌۭ
They are thriving
وَلَٰكِن
when in fact
لَّا
not
تَشْعُرُونَ
you comprehend.
٢
١٥٤
وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمْوَٰتٌۢ ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَآءٌۭ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ And do not declare for those who have been killed in path of the One as dead. No! They are thriving when in fact not you comprehend.

And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah [dead.] Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do not call those who were slain in Allah]s way [dead.] No, they are living, but you are not aware. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Do not consider those who are slain for the cause of God to be dead. They are alive but you are unaware of them. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead; nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive. - Shakir, Habib

Do not say that those who are killed in God's cause are dead; they are alive, but you are not aware of it. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جو لوگ راہ هخدا میں قتل ہوجاتے ہیں انہیں مفِدہ نہ کہو بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں لیکن تمہیں ان کی زندگی کا شعور نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جو لوگ اللہ کی راہ میں مارے جائیں، انہیں مُردہ نہ کہو، ایسے لوگ تو حقیقت میں زندہ ہیں، مگر تمہیں ان کی زندگی کا شعور نہیں ہوتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جو خدا کی راہ میں مارے جائیں انہیں مردہ نہ کہو بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں ہاں تمہیں خبرنہیں- - Ahmed Raza

اور جو لوگ اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں قتل کیے جاتے ہیں، انہیں مردہ نہ کہو بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں۔ مگر تمہیں (ان کی زندگی کی حقیقت کا) شعور (سمجھ) نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And We will test you
بِشَىْءٍۢ

and hunger,
وَنَقْصٍۢ
and loss
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ
the belongings,
وَٱلْأَنفُسِ
and yourself,
وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
and the results;
ۗ
وَبَشِّرِ
but give good news to
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
the persevering.
٢
١٥٥
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ And We will test you with things of fear, and hunger, and loss from the belongings, and yourself, and the results; but give good news to the persevering.
⦿
And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We will surely test you with a measure of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth, lives, and fruits; and give good news to the patient - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We shall test you through fear, hunger, loss of life, property, and crops. (Muhammad), give glad news to the people who have patience - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, - Shakir, Habib

We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with fortitude. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم یقینا تمہیں تھوڑے خوف تھوڑی بھوک اور اموالًنفوس اور ثمرات کی کمی سے آزمائیں گے اور اے پیغمبر آپ ان صبر کرنے والوں کو بشارت دے دیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہم ضرور تمہیں خوف و خطر، فاقہ کشی، جان و مال کے نقصانات اور آمدنیوں کے گھاٹے میں مبتلا کر کے تمہاری آزمائش کریں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ضرور ہم تمہیں آزمائیں گے کچھ ڈر اور بھوک سے اور کچھ مالوں اور جانوں اور پھلوں کی کمی سے اور خوشخبری سنا ان صبر والوں کو - - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم ضرور تمہیں آزمائیں گے خوف و خطر، اور کچھ بھوک (و پیاس) اور کچھ مالوں، جانوں اور پھلوں کے نقصان کے ساتھ (یعنی ان میں سے کسی نہ کسی چیز کے ساتھ)۔ (اے رسول(ص)) خوشخبری دے دو ان صبر کرنے والوں کو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who,
إِذَآ
whenever
أَصَٰبَتْهُم
befell at them
مُّصِيبَةٌۭ
trouble,
قَالُوٓا۟
said,
إِنَّا
[Certainly we
لِلَّهِ
belong to the One,
وَإِنَّآ
and certainly we
إِلَيْهِ
to Him
رَٰجِعُونَ
are returning].

١٥٦
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌۭ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ Those who, whenever befell at them trouble, said, [Certainly we belong to the One, and certainly we to Him are returning].
⦿
Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
—those who, when an affliction visits them, say, [Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
and in difficulty say, [We are the servants of God and to Him we shall all return]. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Those who say, when afflicted with a calamity, [We belong to God and to Him we shall return,] - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
جو مصیبت پڑنے کے بعد یہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں اور اسی کی بارگاہ میں واپس جانے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan
⦿
اِن حالات میں جو لوگ صبر کریں اور جب کوئی مصیبت پڑے، تو کہیں کہ: ——ہم اللہ ہی کے ہیں اور اللہ ہی کی طرف ہمیں پلٹ کر جانا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

کہ جب ان پر کوئی مصیبت پڑے تو کہیں ہم اللہ کے مال ہیں اور ہم کو اسی کی طرف پھرنا- - Ahmed Raza

کہ جب بھی ان پر کوئی مصیبت آپڑے تو وہ کہتے ہیں بے شک ہم صرف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں۔ اور اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانے والے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
