And his fruit was beset (with destruction). Then began he to wring his hands for all that he had spent upon it, when (now) it was all ruined on its trellises, and to say: Would that I had ascribed no partner to my Lord! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And ruin closed in on his produce, and he began to wring his hands for what he had spent on it, as it lay fallen on its trellises. He was saying, [I wish I had not ascribed any partner to my Lord.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Sure enough the rich person's) fruits were all destroyed and he began to wring his hands in grief for all that he had invested in his garden. He found his garden tumbled to its trellises and said, [Would that I had not considered anything equal to my Lord]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And his wealth was destroyed; so he began to wring his hands for what he had spent on it, while it lay, having fallen down upon its roofs, and he said: Ah me! would that I had not associated anyone with my Lord. - Shakir, Habib

آخرکار ہوا یہ کہ اس کا سارا ثمرہ مارا گیا اور وہ اپنے انگوروں کے باغ کو ٹٹیوں پر الٹا پڑا دیکھ کر اپنی لگائی ہوئی لاگت پر ہاتھ ملتا رہ گیا اور کہنے لگا کہ ——کاش! میں نے اپنے رب کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھیرایا ہوتا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

And coin for them the similitude of the life of the world as water which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingleth with it and then becometh dry twigs that the winds scatter. Allah is able to do all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

وَيَوْمَ نُسَيِّرُ ٱلْجِبَالَ وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ بَارِزَةًۭ وَحَشَرْنَٰهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And (bethink you of) the Day when we remove the hills and ye see the earth emerging, and We gather them together so as to leave not one of them behind. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The day We shall set the mountains moving and you will see the earth in full view, We shall muster them, and We will not leave out anyone of them. - Qarai, Ali Quli

On the day when We will cause the mountains to travel around and the earth to turn into a levelled plain, We will also bring all human beings together. No one will be left behind. - Sarwar, Muhammad

فکر اُس دن کی ہونی چاہیے جب کہ ہم پہاڑوں کو چلائیں گے، اور تم زمین کو بالکل برہنہ پاؤ گے، اور ہم تمام انسانوں کو اس طرح گھیر کر جمع کریں گے کہ (اگلوں پچھلوں میں سے) ایک بھی نہ چھوٹے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّۭا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ ۚ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And they are set before thy Lord in ranks (and it is said unto them): Now verily have ye come unto Us as We created you at the first. But ye thought that We had set no tryst for you. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
They will be presented before your Lord in ranks: [Certainly you have come to Us just as We created you the first time. But you maintained that We shall not appoint a tryst for you.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They will all be lined up in the presence of your Lord who will tell them, [Despite your belief that there would never be a Day of Judgment, all of you are brought in Our presence just as though We had created you for the first time. You believed that our promise could never come true.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they shall be brought before your Lord, standing in ranks: Now certainly you have come to Us as We created you at first. Nay, you thought that We had not appointed to you a time of the fulfillment of the promise. - Shakir, Habib

They will be ranged before your Lord, standing in rows and He will say to them, [Now you have come to Us as We created you at first. But you supposed that We would not appoint the time for the fulfillment of Our promise to you.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور سب تمہارے پروردگارکے سامنے صف بستہ پیش کئے جائیں گے اورارشاد ہوگا کہ تم آج اسی طرح آئے ہو جس طرح ہم نے پہلی مرتبہ تمہیں پیدا کیا تھا لیکن تمہارا خیال تھا کہ ہم تمہارے لئے کوئی وعدہ گاہ نہیں قرار دیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وَوُضِعَ ٱلْكِتَٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيهِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَٰوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَٰذَا ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَةًۭ وَلَا كَبِيرَةً إِلَّآ أَحْصَىٰهَا ۚ وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرًۭا ۗ وَلَا يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And the Book is placed, and thou seest the guilty fearful of that which is therein, and they say: What kind of a Book is this that leaveth not a small thing nor a great thing but hath counted it! And they find all that they did confronting them, and thy Lord wrongeth no-one. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The Book will be set up. Then you will see the guilty apprehensive of what is in it. They will say, [Woe to us! What a book is this! It omits nothing, big or small, without enumerating it.] They will find present whatever they had done, and your Lord does not wrong anyone. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the record of every one's deeds is placed before him, you will see the criminals terrified from what the record contains. They will say, [Woe to us! What kind of record is this that has missed nothing small or great?] They will find whatever they have done right before their very eyes. Your Lord is not unjust to any one. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And the Book shall be placed, then you will see the guilty fearing from what is in it, and they will say: Ah! woe to us! what a book is this! it does not omit a small one nor a great one, but numbers them (all); and what they had done they shall find present (there); and your Lord does not deal unjustly with anyone. - Shakir, Habib

The Book [of deeds] will be placed before them and you will see the guilty apprehensive about its contents. They will say, [Woe to us! What a record this is! It does not leave any deed, small or large, unaccounted for!] They will find everything they ever did laid in front of them: your Lord will not be unjust to anyone. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب نامئہ اعمال سامنے رکھا جائے گا تو دیکھو گے کہ مجرمین اس کے مندرجات کو دیکھ کر خوفزدہ ہوں گے اور کہیں گے کہ ہائے افسوس اس کتاب نے تو چھوٹا بڑا کچھ نہیں چھوڑا ہے اور سب کو جمع کرلیا ہے اور سب اپنے اعمال کو بالکل حاضر پائیں گے اور تمہارا پروردگار کسی ایک پر بھی ظلم نہیں کرتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور نامہ اعمال سامنے رکھ دیا جائے گا اس وقت تم دیکھو گے کہ مجرم لوگ اپنی کتاب زندگی کے اندراجات سے ڈر رہے ہوں گے اور کہہ رہے ہوں گے کہ ہائے ہماری کم بختی، یہ کیسی کتاب ہے کہ ہماری کوئی چھوٹی بڑی حرکت ایسی نہیں رہی جو اس میں درج نہ ہو گئی ہو جو جو کچھ انہوں نے کیا تھا وہ سب اپنے سامنے حاضر پائیں گے اور تیرا رب کسی پر ذرا ظلم نہ کرے گا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نامہٴ اعمال رکھا جائے گا تو تم مجرموں کو دیکھو گے کہ اس کے لکھے سے ڈرتے ہوں گے اور کہیں گے ہائے خرابی ہماری اس نوشتہ کو کیا ہوا نہ اس نے کوئی چھوٹا گناہ چھوڑا نہ بڑا جسے گھیر لیا ہو اور اپنا سب کیا انہوں نے سامنے پایا، اور تمہارا رب کسی پر ظلم نہیں کرتا - Ahmed Raza

اور نامۂ اعمال (سامنے) رکھ دیا جائے گا اور تم دیکھو گے کہ مجرم لوگ اس کے مندرجات سے ڈر رہے ہوں گے اور کہتے ہوں گے۔ ہائے ہماری کم بختی! یہ کیسا نامۂ عمل ہے؟ جس نے (ہمارا) کوئی چھوٹا بڑا (گناہ) نہیں چھوڑا مگر سب کو درج کر لیا ہے۔ اور جو کچھ ان لوگوں نے کیا تھا وہ سب اپنے اپنے سامنے پائیں گے اور تمہارا پروردگار کسی پر ظلم نہیں کرتا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۗ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ ۚ بِئْسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًۭا [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When We said to the angels, [Prostrate before Adam,] they prostrated, but not Iblis. He was one of the jinn, so he transgressed against his Lord]s command. Will you then take him and his offspring for guardians in My stead, though they are your enemies? How evil a substitute for the wrongdoers! - Qarai, Ali Quli

When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam they all obeyed except Iblis. He was a jinn and he sinned against the command of his Lord. Why do you (people) obey him and his offspring instead of Me, even though they are your enemies? How terrible will be the recompense that the wrong doers will receive! - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance but Iblis (did it not). He was of the jinn, so he transgressed the commandment of his Lord. What! would you then take him and his offspring for friends rather than Me, and they are your enemies? Evil is (this) change for the unjust. - Shakir, Habib

When We said to the angels, [Prostrate yourselves before Adam,] all prostrated themselves except Satan. He was one of the jinn and he disobeyed his Lord's command. Do you then take him and his offspring as protectors instead of Me, despite their enmity towards you? This is an evil exchange for the wrongdoers! - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ہم نے ملائکہ سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو ابلیس کے علاوہ سب نے سجدہ کرلیا کہ وہ جناّت میں سے تھا پھر تو اس نے حکم خدا سے سرتابی کی تو کیا تم لوگ مجھے چھوڑ کر شیطان اور اس کی اولاد کو اپنا سرپرست بنا رہے ہو جب کہ وہ سب تمہارے دشمن ہیں یہ تو ظالمین کے لئے بدترین بدل ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یاد کرو، جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدمؑ کو سجدہ کرو تو انہوں نے سجدہ کیا مگر ابلیس نے نہ کیا وہ جنوں میں سے تھا اس لیے اپنے رب کے حکم کی اطاعت سے نکل گیا اب کیا تم مجھے چھوڑ کر اُس کو اور اس کی ذرّیّت کو اپنا سرپرست بناتے ہو حالانکہ وہ تمہارے دشمن ہیں؟ بڑا ہی برا بدل ہے جسے ظالم لوگ اختیار کر رہے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یاد کرو جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو فرمایا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو سب نے سجدہ کیا سوا ابلیس کے، قومِ جن سے تھا تو اپنے رب کے حکم سے نکل گیا بھلا کیا اسے اور اس کی اولاد و میرے سوا دوست بناتے ہو اور وہ ہمارے دشمن ہیں ظالموں کو کیا ہی برا بدل (بدلہ) ملا، - Ahmed Raza

اور (وہ وقت یاد کرو) جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کے سامنے سجدہ ریز ہو جاؤ۔ تو سب نے سجدہ کیا سوائے ابلیس کے وہ جنات میں سے تھا۔ اس نے اپنے پروردگار کے حکم کی سرتابی کی۔ کیا تم (اے منکرینِ حق) مجھے چھوڑ کر اس کو اور اس کی اولاد کو اپنا سرپرست و کارساز بناتے ہو؟ حالانکہ وہ تمہارا دشمن ہے۔ ظالموں کیلئے کیا ہی برا بدل ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
