وَلَوْ

وَٰحِدَةًۭ

وَلَٰكِن

يُضِلُّ

وَيَهْدِى

وَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَٰكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

Had Allah willed He could have made you (all) one nation, but He sendeth whom He will astray and guideth whom He will, and ye will indeed be asked of what ye used to do.

Had Allah wished, He would have made you one community, but He leads astray whomever He wishes and guides whomever He wishes, and you will surely be questioned concerning what you used to do.

Had God wanted, He would have made you one single nation but He guides or causes to go astray whomever He wants. You will certainly be questioned about what you have done.

اگر اللہ کی مشیت یہ ہوتی (کہ تم میں کوئی اختلاف نہ ہو) تو وہ تم سب کو ایک ہی امت بنا دیتا، مگر وہ جسے چاہتا ہے گمراہی میں ڈالتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے راہ راست دکھا دیتا ہے، اور ضرور تم سے تمہارے اعمال کی باز پرس ہو کر رہے گی

اور اللہ چاہتا تو تم کو ایک ہی امت کرتا لیکن اللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور راہ دیتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور ضرور تم سے تمہارے کام پوچھے جائیں گے،

وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌۢ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom.

Do not make your oaths a means of [mutual] deceit among yourselves, lest feet should stumble after being steady and [lest] you suffer ill for barring from the way of Allah and face a great punishment.

Do not consider your oaths as a means of deceit lest you damage the firmness of your faith, suffer from evil by creating obstacles in the way that leads to God, and incur a great torment upon yourselves.

And do not make your oaths a means of deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after its stability and you should taste evil because you turned away from Allah's way and grievous punishment be your (lot).

(اور اے مسلمانو،) تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو دھوکہ دینے کا ذریعہ نہ بنا لینا، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ کوئی قدم جمنے کے بعد اکھڑ جائے اور تم اِس جرم کی پاداش میں کہ تم نے لوگوں کو اللہ کی راہ سے روکا، برا نتیجہ دیکھو اور سخت سزا بھگتو

اور اپنی قسمیں آپس میں بے اصل بہانہ نہ بنالو کہ کہیں کوئی پاؤں جمنے کے بعد لغزش نہ کرے اور تمہیں برائی چکھنی ہو بدلہ اس کا کہ اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے تھے اور تمہیں بڑا عذاب ہو

وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

And purchase not a small gain at the price of Allah's covenant. Lo! that which Allah hath is better for you, if ye did but know.

Do not sell Allah]s covenants for a paltry gain. Indeed, what is with Allah is better for you, should you know.

Do not sell your covenant with God for a small price. The reward which you will receive from God is better for you, if only you knew it.

مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ ۖ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقٍۢ ۗ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

That which ye have wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily We shall pay those who are steadfast a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

That which is with you will be spent [and gone], but what is with Allah shall last, and We will surely pay the patient their reward by the best of what they used to do.

Whatever you possess is transient and whatever is with God is everlasting. We will recompense those who exercise patience with their due reward and even more.

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌۭ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُۥ حَيَوٰةًۭ طَيِّبَةًۭ ۖ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

⦿

Whosoever doeth right, whether male or female, and is a believer, him verily we shall quicken with good life, and We shall pay them a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do.

Whoever acts righteously, [whether] male or female, should he be faithful, We shall revive him with a good life and pay them their reward by the best of what they used to do.

جو اچھا کام کرے مرد ہو یا عورت اور ہو مسلمان تو ضرور ہم اسے اچھی زندگی جِلائیں گے اور ضرور انہیں ان کا نیگ (اجر) دیں گے جو ان کے سب سے بہتر کام کے لائق ہوں،

جو کوئی بھی نیک عمل کرے خواہ مرد ہو یا عورت بشرطیکہ وہ مؤمن ہو تو ہم اسے (دنیا) میں پاک و پاکیزہ زندگی بسر کرائیں گے اور (آخرت میں) ان کا اجر ان کے بہترین اعمال کے مطابق عطا کریں گے۔

The Bee [ 16:98 ] النحل

فَإِذَا

Then, whenever

قَرَأْتَ

you read

ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

the Proclamatory Reading,

فَٱسْتَعِذْ

thus seek refuge

بِٱللَّهِ

with the One

مِنَ

from

ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ

the deviant,

ٱلرَّجِيمِ

the one who is stuck (in mind).

٩٨

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

Then, whenever you read the Proclamatory Reading, thus seek refuge with the One from the deviant, the one who is stuck (in mind).

And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast.

Lo! he hath no power over those who believe and put trust in their Lord.

of knowledge

بِمَا

an inventor],

بَلْ

but

أَكْثَرُهُمْ

many of them are

وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَآ ءَايَةًۭ مَّكَانَ ءَايَةٍۢ ۙ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍۭ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

And whenever We change a sign in place of a sign, and the One is of knowledge with what He sends down, they say, [Certainly you are an inventor], but many of them are not knowing.

And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.

وَهُدًۭى

and as guidance

وَبُشْرَىٰ

and good news

لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ

قُلْ نَزَّلَهُۥ رُوحُ ٱلْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهُدًۭى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ

Say, [Alighted it spirit of the dedication from your Rabb with the fact, to make firm the ones who have conviction, and as guidance and good news for the submitters.]

And We know well that they say: Only a man teacheth him. The speech of him at whom they falsely hint is outlandish, and this is clear Arabic speech.

We certainly know that they say, [It is only a human that instructs him.] The language of him to whom they refer is non-Arabic, while this is a clear Arabic language.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
