وَمَآ
And not
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
مِن
of
قَبْلِكَ
before you
إِلَّا
except
رِجَالًۭا
men,
نُّوحِىٓ
We inspired
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them;
ۚ
فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟
thus ask
أَهْلَ
the holders of
ٱلذِّكْرِ
the reminder
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
of knowing.

٤٣
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ And not We sent of before you except men, We inspired to them; thus ask the holders of the reminder if you are not of knowing.

And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the Remembrance if ye know not! - - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men to whom We revealed. Ask the People of the Reminder if you do not know. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers whom We sent before you were mere mortals to whom We had sent with miracles and revelations. Ask those who know about the heavenly Books if you do not know about this. - Sarwar, Muhammad

بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
Through the clarifications
وَٱلزُّبُرِ
and the fortification
ۗ
وَأَنزَلْنَآ
and We descended
إِلَيْكَ
to you
ٱلذِّكْرَ
the reminder
لِتُبَيِّنَ
for you to make clear
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
مَا
what
نُزِّلَ
descended
إِلَيْهِمْ
towards them,
وَلَعَلَّهُمْ
and that perhaps they
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
be those who think.

٤٤
بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ Through the clarifications and the fortification and We descended to you the reminder for you to make clear for the people what descended towards them, and that perhaps they be those who think.

With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[We sent them] with manifest proofs and scriptures. We have sent down the reminder to you so that you may clarify for the people that which has been sent down to them, so that they may reflect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

پچھلے رسولوں کو بھی ہم نے روشن نشانیاں اور کتابیں دے کر بھیجا تھا، اور اب یہ ذکر تم پر نازل کیا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں کے سامنے اُس تعلیم کی تشریح و توضیح کرتے جاؤ جو اُن کے لیے اتاری گئی ہے، اور تاکہ لوگ (خود بھی) غور و فکر کریں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

روشن دلیلیں اور کتابیں لے کر اور اے محبوب ہم نے تمہاری ہی طرف یہ یاد گار اتاری کہ تم لوگوں سے بیان کردو جو ان کی طرف اترا اور کہیں وہ دھیان کریں، - Ahmed Raza

Are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do those who devise evil schemes feel secure that Allah will not make the earth swallow them, or the punishment will not overtake them whence they are not aware? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Can they who have devised evil plans expect to be safe from the command of God to the earth to swallow them up, or from a torment which might strike them from an unexpected direction? - Sarwar, Muhammad

Do they then who plan evil (deeds) feel secure (of this) that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them or that punishment may not overtake them from whence they do not perceive? - Shakir, Habib

پھر کیا وہ لوگ جو (دعوت پیغمبر کی مخالفت میں) بدتر سے بدتر چالیں چل رہے ہیں اِس بات سے بالکل ہی بے خوف ہو گئے ہیں کہ اللہ ان کو زمین میں دھنسا دے، یا ایسے گوشے میں ان پر عذاب لے آئے جدھر سے اس کے آنے کا ان کو وہم و گمان تک نہ ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍۢ يَتَفَيَّؤُا۟ ظِلَٰلُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَٱلشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًۭا لِّلَّهِ وَهُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Have they not observed all things that Allah hath created, how their shadows incline to the right and to the left, making prostration unto Allah, and they are lowly? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Have they not regarded that whatever thing Allah has created casts its shadow to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah in utter humility? - Qarai, Ali Quli

اور کیا انہوں نے نہ دیکھا کہ جو چیز اللہ نے بنائی ہے اس کی پرچھائیاں دائیں اور بائیں جھکتی ہیں اللہ کو سجدہ کرتی اور وہ اس کے حضور ذلیل ہیں - Ahmed Raza

دَآبَّةٍۢ
creatures,
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikati,
وَهُمْ
while they are
لَا
not
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
egotistic.

٤٩
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ And for the One is executing commands what is in the heavens and what is in the land from creatures, and the malaikati, while they are not egotistic.

And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
To Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, including animals and angels, and they are not arrogant. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, the cattle and the angels prostrate themselves before God without pride. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride. - Shakir, Habib

Everything in the heavens and all the creatures on the earth prostrate themselves before God, as do the angels, and they do not behave proudly: - Wahiduddin Khan

They fear their Rabb from above them, and they do what they are commanded.

And said
ٱللَّهُ
the One,
لَا
[Do not
تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟
take
إِلَٰهَيْنِ
gods
ٱثْنَيْنِ
as two;
ۖ
إِنَّمَا
certainly what
هُوَ
He is, is
إِلَٰهٌۭ
an unchallenged master (god)
وَٰحِدٌۭ
absolutely alone,
ۖ
فَإِيَّٰىَ
so it is only Me
فَٱرْهَبُونِ
thus Whom you should feel terrified of.]

٥١
وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ إِلَٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَإِيَّٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ And said the One, [Do not take gods as two; certainly what He is, is an unchallenged master (god) absolutely alone, so it is only Me thus Whom you should feel terrified of.]

Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Allah has said, [Do not worship two gods. Indeed He is the One God, so be in awe of Me [alone].] - Qarai, Ali Quli

God says, [Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid. - Shakir, Habib

اور اللہ نے کہہ دیا ہے کہ خبردار دو خدا نہ بناؤ کہ اللہ صرف خدائے واحد ہے لہذا مجھ ہی سے ڈرو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him belongs the enduring religion. Will you, then, be wary of other than Allah? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. - Shakir, Habib

اور تمہارے پاس جو بھی نعمت ہے وہ سب اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہے اور اس کے بعد بھی جب تمہیں کوئی تکلیف چھولیتی ہے تو تم اسی سے فریاد کرتے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

تم کو جو نعمت بھی حاصل ہے اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہے پھر جب کوئی سخت وقت تم پر آتا ہے تو تم لوگ خود اپنی فریادیں لے کر اُسی کی طرف دوڑتے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہارے پاس جو نعمت ہے سب اللہ کی طرف سے ہے پھر جب تمہیں تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو اسی کی طرف پناہ لے جاتے ہو، ف) - Ahmed Raza
