لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰذِبِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

That He may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

so that He may clarify for them what they differ about, and that the faithless may know that they were liars. - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Through the resurrection) God wants to make a clear distinction between right and wrong and make the unbelievers know that they were liars. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And those who became fugitives for the cause of Allah after they had been oppressed, We verily shall give them goodly lodging in the world, and surely the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who migrate for the sake of Allah after they have been wronged, We will surely settle them in a good place in the world, and the reward of the Hereafter is surely greater, had they known - Qarai, Ali Quli

God settles those who leave their homes for His cause after having suffered injustice, in a prosperous dwelling in this life and greater rewards will be theirs in the life to come. Would that they knew this. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And those who fly for Allah's sake after they are oppressed, We will most certainly give them a good abode in the world, and the reward of the hereafter is certainly much greater, did they but know; - Shakir, Habib

As for those who, after persecution, migrated from their homes for the cause of God, We will provide them with a goodly abode in this life: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater, if they only knew it. - Wahiduddin Khan

The ones who
صَبَرُوا۟
persevere
وَعَلَىٰ
and upon
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
they are reliant.
The ones who persevere and upon their Rabb they are reliant.

Such as are steadfast and put their trust in Allah. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

thus ask
أَهْلَ
the holders of
ٱلذِّكْرِ
the reminder
إِن
if
كُنتُمْ
you are
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
of knowing.

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًۭا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟ أَهْلَ ٱلذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ And not We sent of before you except men, We inspired to them; thus ask the holders of the reminder if you are not of knowing.

And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired - Ask the followers of the Remembrance if ye know not! - - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We did not send [any apostles] before you except as men to whom We revealed. Ask the People of the Reminder if you do not know. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The Messengers whom We sent before you were mere mortals to whom We had sent with miracles and revelations. Ask those who know about the heavenly Books if you do not know about this. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation-- so ask the followers of the Reminder if you do not know-- - Shakir, Habib

Through the clarifications
وَٱلزُّبُرِ
and the fortification

وَأَنزَلْنَآ
and We descended
إِلَيْكَ
to you
ٱلذِّكْرَ
the reminder
لِتُبَيِّنَ
for you to make clear
لِلنَّاسِ
for the people
مَا
what
نُزِّلَ
descended
إِلَيْهِمْ
towards them,
وَلَعَلَّهُمْ
and that perhaps they
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
be those who think.

بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَٱلزُّبُرِ ۗ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ Through the clarifications and the fortification and We descended to you the reminder for you to make clear for the people what descended towards them, and that perhaps they be those who think.

With clear proofs and writings; and We have revealed unto thee the Remembrance that thou mayst explain to mankind that which hath been revealed for them, and that haply they may reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[We sent them] with manifest proofs and scriptures. We have sent down the reminder to you so that you may clarify for the people that which has been sent down to them, so that they may reflect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

We have revealed the Quran to you so that you could tell the people what has been revealed to them and so that perhaps they will think. - Sarwar, Muhammad

With clear arguments and scriptures; and We have revealed to you the Reminder that you may make clear to men what has been revealed to them, and that haply they may reflect. - Shakir, Habib

أَفَأَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَكَرُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them, or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do those who devise evil schemes feel secure that Allah will not make the earth swallow them, or the punishment will not overtake them whence they are not aware? - Qarai, Ali Quli

Can they who have devised evil plans expect to be safe from the command of God to the earth to swallow them up, or from a torment which might strike them from an unexpected direction? - Sarwar, Muhammad

Do they then who plan evil (deeds) feel secure (of this) that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them or that punishment may not overtake them from whence they do not perceive? - Shakir, Habib

پھر کیا وہ لوگ جو (دعوت پیغمبر کی مخالفت میں) بدتر سے بدتر چالیں چل رہے ہیں اِس بات سے بالکل ہی بے خوف ہو گئے ہیں کہ اللہ ان کو زمین میں دھنسا دے، یا ایسے گوشے میں ان پر عذاب لے آئے جدھر سے اس کے آنے کا ان کو وہم و گمان تک نہ ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو کیا جو لوگ بڑے مکر کرتے ہیں اس سے نہیں ڈرتے کہ اللہ انہیں زمین میں دھنسادے یا انہیں وہاں سے عذاب آئے جہاں سے انہیں خبر نہ ہو، - Ahmed Raza

دَآبَّةٍۢ
creatures,
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
and the malaikati,
وَهُمْ
while they are
لَا
not
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
egotistic.
١٦
٤٩
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ And for the One is executing commands what is in the heavens and what is in the land from creatures, and the malaikati, while they are not egotistic.

And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

To Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, including animals and angels, and they are not arrogant. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, the cattle and the angels prostrate themselves before God without pride. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride. - Shakir, Habib
