Then lo! thy Lord - for those who became fugitives after they had been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

Thereafter your Lord will indeed be forgiving and merciful to those who migrated after they were persecuted, waged jihad and remained steadfast.

Those who left their homes for the cause of God after they had been persecuted, strove hard for His cause and exercised patience should know (even though they had verbally renounced their faith) that your Lord is All-forgiving and All-merciful.

بخلاف اس کے جن لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ جب (ایمان لانے کی وجہ سے) وہ ستائے گئے تو اُنہوں نے گھر بار چھوڑ دیے، ہجرت کی، راہ خدا میں سختیاں جھیلیں اور صبرسے کام لیا، اُن کے لیے یقیناً تیرا رب غفور و رحیم ہے

پھر بیشک تمہارا رب ان کے لیے جنہوں نے اپنے گھر چھوڑے بعد اس کے کہ ستائے گئے پھر انہوں نے جہاد کیا اور صابر رہے بیشک تمہارا رب اس کے بعد ضرور بخشنے والا ہے مہربان،

On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged.

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًۭا قَرْيَةًۭ كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةًۭ مُّطْمَئِنَّةًۭ يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًۭا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍۢ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ

Allah coineth a similitude: a township that dwelt secure and well content, its provision coming to it in abundance from every side, but it disbelieved in Allah's favours, so Allah made it experience the garb of dearth and fear because of what they used to do.

Allah draws a parable: There was a town secure and peaceful, its provision coming abundantly from every place. But it was ungrateful toward Allah]s blessings. So Allah made it taste hunger and fear because of what they used to do.

God tells a parable about a secure and peaceful town surrounded by abundant sustenance. Its inhabitants rejected the bounties of God and He caused them to suffer hunger and fear as a result of their deeds.

And Allah sets forth a parable: (Consider) a town safe and secure to which its means of subsistence come in abundance from every quarter; but it became ungrateful to Allah's favors, therefore Allah made it to taste the utmost degree of hunger and fear because of what they wrought.

اور اللہ نے اس قریہ کی بھی مثال بیان کی ہے جو محفوظ اور مطمئن تھی اور اس کا رزق ہر طرف سے باقاعدہ آرہا تھا لیکن اس قریہ کے رہنے والوں نے اللہ کی نعمتوں کا انکار کیا تو خدا نے انہیں بھوک اور خوف کے لباس کا مزہ چکھادیا صرف ان کے ان اعمال کی بنا پر کہ جو وہ انجام دے رہے تھے

اللہ ایک بستی کی مثال دیتا ہے وہ امن و اطمینان کی زندگی بسر کر رہی تھی اور ہر طرف سے اس کو بفراغت رزق پہنچ رہا تھا کہ اُس نے اللہ کی نعمتوں کا کفران شروع کر دیا تب اللہ نے اس کے باشندوں کو اُن کے کرتوتوں کا یہ مزا چکھایا کہ بھوک اور خوف کی مصیبتیں ان پر چھا گئیں

اور اللہ نے کہاوت بیان فرمائی ایک بستی کہ امان و اطمینان سے تھی ہر طرف سے اس کی روزی کثرت سے آتی تو وہ اللہ کی نعمتوں کی ناشکری کرنے لگی تو اللہ نے اسے یہ سزا چکھائی کہ اسے بھوک اور ڈر کا پہناوا پہنایا بدلہ ان کے کیے کا،

اور اللہ نے ایک بستی کی مثال بیان کی ہے جو امن و اطمینان سے (آباد) تھی اس کی روزی فراغت سے آرہی تھی پس اس نے کفرانِ نعمت شروع کیا تو اللہ نے اس کے باشندوں کے کرتوتوں کی پاداش میں اسے یہ مزہ چکھایا کہ بھوک اور خوف کو اس کا اوڑھنا بنا دیا۔

And verily there had come unto them a messenger from among them, but they had denied him, and so the torment seized them while they were wrong-doers.

Thus consume

طَيِّبًۭا

healthfully,

وَٱشْكُرُوا۟

and be thankful of

نِعْمَتَ

favours of

ٱللَّهِ

the One

إِن

كُنتُمْ

you happen to be

إِيَّاهُ

of those who for Him are

تَعْبُدُونَ

of obedience.

١٦

١١٤

فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَٰلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

Thus consume from what provision gives you the One openly healthfully, and be thankful of favours of the One if you happen to be of those who for Him are of obedience.

So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah hath provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him ye serve.

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةَ وَٱلدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍۢ وَلَا عَادٍۢ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

⦿

He hath forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swineflesh and that which hath been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

He has forbidden you only carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been offered to other than Allah. But if someone is compelled [to eat any of that], without being rebellious or aggressive, indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

The only things which are made unlawful for you are the flesh of dead animals, blood, pork and that which is not consecrated with the Name of God. But in an emergency, without the intention of transgression and rebellion, (it is not an offense for one to consume such things). God is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful.

He has only forbidden you what dies of itself and blood and flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

اس نے تمہارے لئے صرف اَمفِدار ,خون ,سور کا گوشت اور جو غیر خدا کے نام پر ذبح کیا جائے اسے حرام کردیا ہے اور اس میں بھی اگر کوئی شخص مضطر و مجبور ہوجائے اور نہ بغاوت کرے نہ حد سے تجاوز کرے تو خدا بہت بڑا بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے

اللہ نے جو کچھ تم پر حرام کیا ہے وہ ہے مُردار اور خون اور سور کا گوشت اور وہ جانور جس پر اللہ کے سوا کسی اور کا نام لیا گیا ہو البتہ بھوک سے مجبور ہو کر اگر کوئی اِن چیزوں کو کھا لے، بغیر اس کے کہ وہ قانون الٰہی کی خلاف ورزی کا خواہش مند ہو، یا حد ضرورت سے تجاوز کا مرتکب ہو، تو یقیناً اللہ معاف کرنے اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے

تم پر تو یہی حرام کیا ہے مُردار اور خون اور سور کا گوشت اور وہ جس کے ذبح کرتے وقت غیر خدا کا نام پکارا گیا پھر جو لاچار ہو نہ خواہش کرتا اور نہ حد سے بڑھتا تو بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

اس نے تم پر صرف مردار، خون، خنزیر کا گوشت اور وہ جس پر ذبح کے وقت غیر اللہ کا نام بلند کیا گیا ہو حرام کیا ہے۔ پس جو (ان کے کھانے پر) مجبور ہو جائے نہ باغی ہو اور نہ حد سے تجاوز کرنے والا (تو کوئی مضائقہ نہیں) بے شک خدا بڑا بخشنے والا، بڑا مہربان ہے۔

وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ٱلْكَذِبَ هَٰذَا حَلَٰلٌۭ وَهَٰذَا حَرَامٌۭ لِّتَفْتَرُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ

And speak not, concerning that which your own tongues qualify (as clean or unclean), the falsehood: [This is lawful, and this is forbidden,] so that ye invent a lie against Allah. Lo! those who invent a lie against Allah will not succeed.

Do not say, asserting falsely with your tongues, [This is lawful, and that is unlawful,] attributing lies to Allah. Indeed those who attribute lies to Allah will not be felicitous.

(Unbelievers), do not follow whatever your lying tongues may tell you is lawful or unlawful to invent lies against God. Those who invent lies against God will have no happiness.

through ignorance,

ثُمَّ

but then

تَابُوا۟

repent

مِنۢ

بَعْدِ

after

ذَٰلِكَ

وَأَصْلَحُوٓا۟

and take corrective measures,

إِنَّ

it is that

رَبَّكَ

your Rabb

مِنۢ

بَعْدِهَا

after that is

لَغَفُورٌۭ

forgiving,

رَّحِيمٌ

merciful.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَٰلَةٍۢ ثُمَّ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوٓا۟ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهَا لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ

Then, surely your Rabb for the ones who did bad through ignorance, but then repent from after that and take corrective measures, it is that your Rabb of after that is forgiving, merciful.

Then lo! thy Lord - for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend - lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful.

Surely, Ibrahim was a nation obedient for the One as secular (obedient to only One authority), and not was he like from the ones who add partners.
