وَهُوَ

وَجَعَلَ

فِيهَا

رَوَٰسِىَ

وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا

وَمِن

كُلِّ

ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ

جَعَلَ

فِيهَا

زَوْجَيْنِ

ٱثْنَيْنِ

يُغْشِى

ٱلَّيْلَ

ٱلنَّهَارَ

إِنَّ

فِى

ذَٰلِكَ

لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

١٣

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًۭا ۖ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

⦿

And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits He placed therein two spouses (male and female). He covereth the night with the day. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought.

It is He who has spread out the earth and set in it firm mountains and streams, and of every fruit in it He has made two kinds. He draws the night]s cover over the day. There are indeed signs in that for a people who reflect.

It is God who spread out the earth and fixed mountains and placed rivers therein. He made a pair of every fruit and made the night cover the day. All this is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people who think.

اور وہی ہے جس نے یہ زمین پھیلا رکھی ہے، اس میں پہاڑوں کے کھو نٹے گاڑ رکھے ہیں اور دریا بہا دیے ہیں اُسی نے ہر طرح کے پھلوں کے جوڑے پیدا کیے ہیں، اور وہی دن پر رات طاری کرتا ہے ان ساری چیزوں میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو غور و فکر سے کام لیتے ہیں

اور وہی ہے جس نے زمین کو پھیلا اور اس میں لنگر اور نہریں بنائیں، اور زمین ہر قسم کے پھل دو دو طرح کے بنائے رات سے دن کو چھپا لیتا ہے، بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں دھیان کرنے والوں کو

اور وہی ہے جس نے زمین کو پھیلایا اور اس میں مضبوط پہاڑ بنا دیے اور نہریں جاری کر دیں اور اس میں ہر ایک پھل کے جوڑے دو قسم کے پیدا کر دیئے وہ رات (کی تاریکی) سے دن (کی روشنی) کو ڈھانپ دیتا ہے بے شک ان سب چیزوں میں غور و فکر کرنے والوں کے لئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں۔

وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ

مِّنْ

أَعْنَٰبٍۢ

وَزَرْعٌۭ

وَنَخِيلٌۭ

[untranslated]

صِنْوَانٌۭ

وَغَيْرُ

صِنْوَانٍۢ

يُسْقَىٰ

بِمَآءٍۢ

وَٰحِدٍۢ

وَنُفَضِّلُ

بَعْضَهَا

عَلَىٰ

بَعْضٍۢ

فِى

ٱلْأُكُلِ

إِنَّ

فِى

ذَٰلِكَ

لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

[untranslated]

يَعْقِلُونَ

[untranslated]

١٣

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌۭ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٌۭ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ مِّنْ أَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَزَرْعٌۭ وَنَخِيلٌۭ صِنْوَانٌۭ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍۢ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَآءٍۢ وَٰحِدٍۢ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ فِى ٱلْأُكُلِ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ

⦿

And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date-palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water. And we have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense.

⦿

In the earth are neighbouring terrains [of diverse kinds] and vineyards, farms, and date palms growing from the same root and from diverse roots, [all] irrigated by the same water, and We give some of them an advantage over others in flavour. There are indeed signs in that for people who exercise their reason.

⦿

In the earth there are adjacent pieces of land, vineyards, farms, date-palms of single and many roots which are all watered by the same water. We have made some yield a better food than others. All this is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people who understand.

And in the earth there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and (others) having distinct roots-- they are watered with one water, and We make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.

On the earth are diverse tracts, adjoining one another: vineyards and cornfields and groves of palm, the single and the clustered. Their fruits are nourished by the same water; yet We make the taste of some excel that of others. In this also are signs for people who understand.

اور زمین کے متعدد ٹکڑے آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے ملے ہوئے ہیں اور انگور کے باغات ہیں اور زرا عت ہے اور کھجوریں ہیں جن میں بعض دو شاخ کی ہیں اور بعض ایک شاخ کی ہیں اور سب ایک ہی پانی سے سینچے جاتے ہیں اور ہم بعض کو بعض پر کھانے میں ترجیح دیتے ہیں اور اس میں بھی صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے بڑی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں

⦿

اور دیکھو، زمین میں الگ الگ خطے پائے جاتے ہیں جو ایک دوسرے سے متصل واقع ہیں انگور کے باغ ہیں، کھیتیاں ہیں، کھجور کے درخت ہیں جن میں سے کچھ اکہرے ہیں اور کچھ دوہرے سب کو ایک ہی پانی سیراب کرتا ہے مگر مزے میں ہم کسی کو بہتر بنا دیتے ہیں اور کسی کو کمتر ان سب چیزوں میں بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں

اور زمین کے مختلف قطعے ہیں اور ہیں پاس پاس اور باغ ہیں انگوروں کے اور کھیتی اور کھجور کے پیڑ ایک تھالے (تھال) سے اُگے اور الگ الگ سب کو ایک ہی پانی دیا جا تا ہے اور پھلوں میں ہم ایک کو دوسرے سے بہتر کرتے ہیں، بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں عقل مندوں کے لیے

اور خود زمین میں مختلف ٹکڑے آس پاس واقع ہیں (پھر ان میں) انگوروں کے باغ ہیں (غلہ کی) کھیتیاں ہیں اور کھجور کے درخت ہیں کچھ ایسے جو ایک ہی جڑ سے کئی درخت نکلے ہیں اور کچھ وہ جو ایسے نہیں ہیں سب ایک ہی پانی سے سیراب کئے جاتے ہیں مگر ہم (ذائقہ میں) بعض کو بعض پر برتری دیتے ہیں۔ یقیناً ان امور میں ان لوگوں کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں جو عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں۔

وَإِن

فَعَجَبٌۭ

قَوْلُهُمْ

أَءِذَا

كُنَّا

تُرَٰبًا

[untranslated]

أَءِنَّا

[untranslated]

لَفِى

[untranslated]

خَلْقٍۢ

جَدِيدٍ

[untranslated]

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

ٱلَّذِينَ

[untranslated]

كَفَرُوا۟

[untranslated]

بِرَبِّهِمْ

[untranslated]

وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

[untranslated]

ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ

[untranslated]

فِىٓ

[untranslated]

أَعْنَاقِهِمْ

[untranslated]

وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ

أَصْحَٰبُ

[untranslated]

ٱلنَّارِ

[untranslated]

هُمْ

[untranslated]

فِيهَا

[untranslated]

خَٰلِدُونَ

١٣

وَإِن تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌۭ قَوْلُهُمْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍۢ جَدِيدٍ ۗ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

⦿

And if thou wonderest, then wondrous is their saying: When we are dust, are we then forsooth (to be raised) in a new creation? Such are they who disbelieve in their Lord; such have carcans on their necks; such are rightful owners of the Fire, they will abide therein.

⦿

If you are to wonder [at anything], then wonderful is their remark, [When we have become dust, shall we be [ushered] into a new creation?] They are the ones who defy their Lord; they shall have iron collars around their necks, they shall be the inhabitants of the Fire, and they shall remain in it [forever].

⦿

If there is anything to make you wonder, it would be the words of those who say, [When we become dust, shall we be brought back to life again?] They are disbelievers in their Lord and will wear heavy fetters around their necks. They are the dwellers of the hell fire wherein they will live forever.

⦿

And if you would wonder, then wondrous is their saying: What! when we are dust, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? These are they who disbelieve in their Lord, and these have chains on their necks, and they are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide.

If anything can astonish you, you should surely be astonished at their asking, [What? When we become dust, shall we be created anew?] These are the ones who deny their Lord: around their necks there shall be fetters. They are the inheritors of the Fire, and shall abide therein forever.

اور اگر تمہیں کسی بات پر تعّجب ہے تو تّعجب کی بات ان لوگوں کا یہ قول ہے کہ کیا ہم خاک ہوجانے کے بعد بھی نئے سرے سے دوبارہ پیدا کئے جائیں گے .یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کا انکار کیا ہے اور ان ہی کی گردنوں میں طوق ڈالے جائیں گے اور یہی اہل هجہّنم ہیں اور اسی میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں

⦿

اب اگر تمہیں تعجب کرنا ہے تو تعجب کے قابل لوگوں کا یہ قول ہے کہ ——جب ہم مر کر مٹی ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم نئے سرے سے پیدا کیے جائیں گے؟—— یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے رب سے کفر کیا ہے یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق پڑے ہوئے ہیں یہ جہنمی ہیں اور جہنم میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

⦿

اور اگر تم تعجب کرو تو اچنبھا تو ان کے اس کہنے کا ہے کہ کیا ہم مٹی ہو کر پھر نئے بنیں گے وہ ہیں جو اپنے رب سے منکر ہوئے اور وہ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق ہوں گے اور وہ دوزخ والے ہیں انھیں اسی میں رہنا،

(اے مخاطب) اگر تمہیں تعجب کرنا ہے تو تعجب کے قابل ان (کفار) کا یہ قول ہے کہ جب ہم (مر کر) خاک ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم از سر نو پیدا ہوں گے؟ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کا انکار کیا اور یہ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق پڑے ہوں گے اور یہی جہنمی ہیں جو ہمیشہ ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے۔

لَشَدِيدُ

ٱلْعِقَابِ

١٣

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ ۗ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍۢ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

⦿

And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But lo! thy Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrong, and lo! thy Lord is strong in punishment.

⦿

They would press you for evil sooner than for good, though there have already gone by before them exemplary punishments. Indeed your Lord is forgiving to mankind despite their wrongdoing, and indeed your Lord is severe in retribution.

⦿

They ask you to bring upon them punishment before they ask you for mercy. Such punishments were already brought upon the people who lived before them. Your Lord, certainly, has forgiveness for the injustice of the people. He is also stern in His retribution.

And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil).

They demand that you hasten on the evil rather than the good, although there have been many examples of punishment before them -- your Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind, despite their wrongdoings, but He is truly severe in punishment.

اور اے رسول یہ لوگ آپ سے بھلائی سے پہلے ہی برائی (عذاب)چاہتے ہیں جب کہ ان کے پہلے بہت سی عذاب کی نظریں گزر چکی ہیں اور آپ کا پروردگار لوگوں کے لئے ان کے ظلم پر بخشنے والا بھی ہے اور بہت سخت عذاب کرنے والا بھی ہے

یہ لوگ بھلائی سے پہلے برائی کے لیے جلدی مچا رہے ہیں حالانکہ ان سے پہلے (جو لوگ اس روش پر چلے ہیں ان پر خدا کے عذاب کی) عبرت ناک مثالیں گزر چکی ہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ تیرا رب لوگوں کی زیادتیوں کے باوجود ان کے ساتھ چشم پوشی سے کام لیتا ہے اور یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ تیرا رب سخت سزا دینے والا ہے

اور تم سے عذاب کی جلدی کرتے ہیں رحمت سے پہلے اور ان اگلوں کی سزائیں ہوچکیں اور بیشک تمہارا رب تو لوگوں کے ظلم پر بھی انہیں ایک طرح کی معافی دیتا ہے اور بیشک تمہارے رب کا عذاب سخت ہے

اور (اے رسول(ص)) یہ لوگ آپ سے نیکی (مغفرت) سے پہلے برائی (عذاب) کے لئے جلدی کرتے ہیں حالانکہ ان سے پہلے (ایسے لوگوں پر) خدائی سزاؤں کے نمونے گزر چکے ہیں اور آپ کا پروردگار لوگوں کو ان کے ظلم و زیادتی کے باوجود بڑا بخشنے والا ہے اور یقیناً آپ کا پروردگار سخت سزا دینے والا بھی ہے۔

وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌۭ ۖ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ

⦿

Those who disbelieve say: If only some portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Thou art a warner only, and for every folk a guide.

⦿

The faithless say, [Why has not some sign been sent down to him from his Lord?] You are only a warner, and there is a guide for every people.

⦿

The unbelievers say, [Why has God not sent him, (Muhammad), some miracles.] (Muhammad), you are only a warner. For every nation there is a guide.

- Sarwar, Muhammad

⦿

And those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? You are only a warner and (there is) a guide for every people.

⦿

Those who deny the truth ask, [Why has no sign been sent down to him by His Lord?] But you are only a warner; every people has its guide.

اور یہ کافر کہتے ہیں کہ ان کے اوپر کوئی نشانی (ہماری مطلوبہ)کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتی تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میں صرف ڈرانے والا ہوں اور ہر قوم کے لئے ایک ہادی اور رہبر ہے

یہ لوگ جنہوں نے تمہاری با ت ماننے سے انکار کر دیا ہے، کہتے ہیں کہ ——اِس شخص پر اس کے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہ اتری؟ تم تو محض خبردار کر دینے والے ہو، اور ہر قوم کے لیے ایک رہنما ہے

اور کا فر کہتے ہیں ان پر ان کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیو ں نہیں اتری تم تو ڈر سنانے والے ہو اور ہر قوم کے ہادی

اور کافر لوگ کہتے ہیں ان (پیغمبر اسلام(ص)) پر ان کے پروردگار کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی (ہماری مرضی کے مطابق) کیوں نہیں اتاری جاتی؟ حالانکہ تم تو بس (اللہ کے عذاب سے) ڈرانے والے ہو اور ہر قوم کے لئے ایک راہنما ہوتا ہے۔

ٱللَّهُ

ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ ۖ وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ

Allah knoweth that which every female beareth and that which the wombs absorb and that which they grow. And everything with Him is measured.

Alike of you is he who hideth the saying and he who noiseth it abroad, he who lurketh in the night and he who goeth freely in the daytime.

For him are angels ranged before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's command. Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.

ہر شخص کے آگے اور پیچھے اس کے مقرر کیے ہوئے نگراں لگے ہوئے ہیں جو اللہ کے حکم سے اس کی دیکھ بھال کر رہے ہیں حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ کسی قوم کے حال کو نہیں بدلتا جب تک وہ خود اپنے اوصاف کو نہیں بدل دیتی اور جب اللہ کسی قوم کی شامت لانے کا فیصلہ کر لے تو پھر وہ کسی کے ٹالے نہیں ٹل سکتی، نہ اللہ کے مقابلے میں ایسی قوم کا کوئی حامی و مدد گار ہو سکتا ہے

انسان کے آگے اور پیچھے (خدا کے مقرر کردہ) نگہبان ہیں جو اللہ کے حکم سے باری باری اس کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں بے شک اللہ کسی قوم کی اس حالت کو نہیں بدلتا جو اس کی ہے جب تک قوم خود اپنی حالت کو نہ بدلے اور جب خدا کسی قوم کو (اس کے عمل کی پاداش میں) کوئی تکلیف پہنچانا چاہتا ہے تو وہ ٹل نہیں سکتی (پہنچ کر ہی رہتی ہے)۔ اور نہ ہی اللہ کے سوا ان کا کوئی حامی و مددگار ہے۔

وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمْ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْمِحَالِ

The thunder hymneth His praise and (so do) the angels for awe of Him. He launcheth the thunderbolts and smiteth with them whom He will while they dispute (in doubt) concerning Allah, and He is mighty in wrath.

The Thunder celebrates His praise, and the angels [too], in awe of Him, and He releases the thunderbolts and strikes with them whomever He wishes. Yet they dispute concerning Allah, though He is great in might.

Both the thunder and the angels glorify Him and out of His fear always praise Him. He sends down thunder-bolts to strike whomever He wants, while they are busy arguing about the existence of God. His punishment is stern.

بادلوں کی گرج اس کی حمد کے ساتھ اس کی پاکی بیان کرتی ہے اور فرشتے اس کی ہیبت سے لرزتے ہوئے اُس کی تسبیح کرتے ہیں وہ کڑکتی ہوئی بجلیوں کو بھیجتا ہے اور (بسا اوقات) اُنہیں جس پر چاہتا ہے عین اس حالت میں گرا دیتا ہے جبکہ لوگ اللہ کے بارے میں جھگڑ رہے ہوتے ہیں فی الواقع اس کی چال بڑی زبردست ہے

اور گر ج اسے سراہتی ہوئی اس کی پاکی بولتی ہے اور فرشتے اس کے ڈر سے اور کڑک بھیجتا ہے تو اسے ڈالتا ہے جس پر چاہے اور وہ اللہ میں جھگڑتے ہوتے ہیں اور اس کی پکڑ سخت ہے،

لَهُۥ دَعْوَةُ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَىْءٍ إِلَّا كَبَٰسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى ٱلْمَآءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَٰلِغِهِۦ ۚ وَمَا دُعَآءُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ

Unto Him is the real prayer. Those unto whom they pray beside Allah respond to them not at all, save as (is the response to) one who stretcheth forth his hands toward water (asking) that it may come unto his mouth, and it will never reach it. The prayer of disbelievers goeth (far) astray.

[Only] to Him belongs the true invocation; and those whom they invoke besides Him do not answer them in any wise—like someone who stretches his hands towards water [desiring] that it should reach his mouth, but it does not reach it—and the invocations of the faithless only go awry.

برحق پکارنا صرف خدا ہی کا پکارنا ہے اور جو لوگ اس کے علاوہ دوسروں کو پکارتے ہیں وہ ان کی کوئی بات قبول نہیں کرسکتے سوائے اس شخص کے مانند جو پانی کی طرف ہتھیلی پھیلائے ہو کہ منہ تک پہنچ جائے اور وہ پہنچنے والا نہیں ہے اور کافروں کی دعا ہمیشہ گمراہی میں رہتی ہے

اسی کو پکارنا برحق ہے رہیں وہ دوسری ہستیاں جنہیں اس کو چھوڑ کر یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں، وہ اُن کی دعاؤں کا کوئی جواب نہیں دے سکتیں اُنہیں پکارنا تو ایسا ہے جیسے کوئی شخص پانی کی طرف ہاتھ پھیلا کر اُس سے درخواست کرے کہ تو میرے منہ تک پہنچ جا، حالانکہ پانی اُس تک پہنچنے والا نہیں بس اِسی طرح کافروں کی دعائیں بھی کچھ نہیں ہیں مگر ایک تیر بے ہدف!

اسی کا پکارنا سچا ہے اور اُس کے سوا جن کو پکارتے ہیں وہ ان کی کچھ بھی نہیں سنتے مگر اس کی طرح جو پانی کے سامنے اپنی ہتھیلیاں پھیلائے بیٹھا ہے کہ اس کے منہ میں پہنچ جائے اور وہ ہرگز نہ پہنچے گا، اور کافروں کی ہر دعا بھٹکتی پھرتی ہے،

(تکلیف کے وقت) اسی کو پکارنا برحق ہے اور اسے چھوڑ کر جنہیں یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں وہ انہیں کچھ بھی جواب نہیں دے سکتے ان کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے کوئی (پیاسا) اپنے دونوں ہاتھ پانی کی طرف پھیلائے کہ وہ (پانی) اس کے منہ تک پہنچ جائے حالانکہ وہ اس تک پہنچنے والا نہیں ہے اور کافروں کی دعا و پکار گمراہی میں بھٹکتی پھرتی ہے۔

And unto Allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours.

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَٱتَّخَذْتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًۭا وَلَا ضَرًّۭا ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ وَٱلنُّورُ ۗ أَمْ جَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوا۟ كَخَلْقِهِۦ فَتَشَٰبَهَ ٱلْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَهُوَ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّٰرُ

Say (O Muhammad): Who is Lord of the heavens and the earth? Say: Allah. Say: Take ye then (others) beside Him for protectors, which, even for themselves, have neither benefit nor hurt? Say: Is the blind man equal to the seer, or is darkness equal to light? Or assign they unto Allah partners who created the like of His creation so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Almighty.

(Muhammad), ask them, [Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?] Say, [It is God.] Ask them, [Why then have you taken guardians other than God when such guardians can neither benefit nor harm themselves?] Ask them, [Are the seeing and the blind equal? Is light equal to darkness?] Do they consider that their idols have created anything like that of God, thus, both creations appear to them to be alike?] Say, [God alone is the Creator of all things and He is the One, the All-Dominant.]

Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme.

پیغمبر کہہ دیجئے کہ بتاؤ کہ زمین و آسمان کا پروردگار کون ہے اور بتادیجئے کہ اللہ ہی ہے اور کہہ دیجئے کہ تم لوگوں نے اس کو چھوڑ کر ایسے سرپرست اختیار کئے ہیں جو خود اپنے نفع و نقصان کے مالک نہیں ہیں اور کہئے کہ کیا اندھے اور بینا ایک جیسے ہوسکتے ہیں یا نورو ظلمت برابر ہوسکتے ہیں یا ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے لئے ایسے شریک بنائے ہیں جنہوں نے اسی کی طرح کی کائنات خلق کی ہے اور ان پر خلقت مشتبہ ہوگئی ہے. کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ ہی ہر شے کا خالق ہے اور وہی یکتا اور سب پر غالب ہے

اِن سے پوچھو، آسمان و زمین کا رب کون ہے؟ کہو، اللہ پھر ان سے کہو کہ جب حقیقت یہ ہے تو کیا تم نے اُسے چھوڑ کر ایسے معبودوں کو اپنا کارساز ٹھیرا لیا جو خود اپنے لیے بھی کسی نفع و نقصان کا اختیار نہیں رکھتے؟ کہو، کیا اندھا اور آنکھوں والا برابر ہوا کرتا ہے؟ کیا روشنی اور تاریکیاں یکساں ہوتی ہیں؟ اور اگر ایسا نہیں تو کیا اِن ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں نے بھی اللہ کی طرح کچھ پیدا کیا ہے کہ اُس کی وجہ سے اِن پر تخلیق کا معاملہ مشتبہ ہو گیا؟ کہو، ہر چیز کا خالق صرف اللہ ہے اور وہ یکتا ہے، سب پر غالب!

تم فرماؤ کون رب ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کا، تم خود ہی فرما ؤ اللہ تم فرما ؤ تو کیا اس کے سوا تم نے وہ حمایتی بنائے ہیں جو اپنا بھلا برا نہیں کرسکتے ہیں تم فرما ؤ کیا برابر ہوجائیں گے اندھا اور انکھیارا (بینا) یا کیا برابر ہوجائیں گی اندھیریاں اور اجالا کیا اللہ کے لیے ایسے شریک ٹھہراتے ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ کی طرح کچھ بنایا تو انہیں ان کا اور اس کا بنانا ایک سا معلوم ہوا تم فرما ؤ اللہ ہر چیز کا بنانے والا ہے اور وہ اکیلا سب پر غالب ہے

(اے رسول) ان سے کہو (پوچھو) آسمانوں اور زمین کا پروردگار کون ہے؟ (خود ہی) بتائیے کہ اللہ (نیز) ان سے کہو۔ کیا تم نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر کچھ کارساز بنا لئے ہیں؟ جو اپنے نفع و نقصان کا اختیار نہیں رکھتے کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا اندھا اور آنکھوں والا دونوں برابر ہیں اور کیا نور و ظلمت (اندھیرا اور اجالا) یکساں ہیں؟ کیا ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے کچھ ایسے شریک بنائے ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ کی طرح کچھ مخلوق خلق کی ہے؟ جس کی وجہ سے تخلیق کا یہ معاملہ ان پر مشتبہ ہوگیا ہے؟ کہہ دیجیئے کہ ہر چیز کا خالق اللہ ہی ہے وہ یگانہ ہے اور سب پر غالب ہے۔

أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌۢ بِقَدَرِهَا فَٱحْتَمَلَ ٱلسَّيْلُ زَبَدًۭا رَّابِيًۭا ۚ وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلنَّارِ ٱبْتِغَآءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَٰعٍۢ زَبَدٌۭ مِّثْلُهُۥ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱلْبَٰطِلَ ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَآءًۭ ۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ

He sendeth down water from the sky, so that valleys flow according to their measure, and the flood beareth (on its surface) swelling foam - from that which they smelt in the fire in order to make ornaments and tools riseth a foam like unto it - thus Allah coineth (the similitude of) the true and the false. Then, as for the foam, it passeth away as scum upon the banks, while, as for that which is of use to mankind, it remaineth in the earth. Thus Allah coineth the similitudes.

He sends down water from the sky whereat the valleys are flooded to [the extent of] their capacity, and the flood carries along a swelling scum. And from what they smelt in the fire for the purpose of [making] ornaments or wares, [there arises] a similar scum. That is how Allah compares truth and falsehood. As for the scum, it leaves as dross, and that which profits the people stays in the earth. That is how Allah draws comparisons.

⦿

When God sends down water from the sky and floods run through the valleys, certain quantities of foam rise on the surface of the flood water. This is similar to that foam which rises when you expose something to the heat of a fire to manufacture ornaments or for other reasons. To God Truth and falsehood are like these examples. The foam disappears but what is profitable to the human being stays in the land. Thus, does God coin His parables.

He sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables.

He sends down water from the sky that fills riverbeds to overflowing, each according to its measure. The torrent carries along swelling foam, akin to what rises from smelted ore from which man makes ornaments and tools. God thus depicts truth and falsehood. The scum is cast away, but whatever is of use to man remains behind. God thus speaks in parables.

اس نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا تو وادیوں میں بقدر ظرف بہنے لگا اور سیلاب میں جوش کھا کر جھاگ آگیا اور اس دھات سے بھی جھاگ پیدا ہوگیا جسے آگ پر زیور یا کوئی دوسرا سامان بنانے کے لئے پگھلاتے ہیں. اسی طرح پروردگار حق و باطل کی مثال بیان کرتا ہے کہ جھاگ خشک ہوکر فنا ہوجاتا ہے اور جو لوگوں کو فائدہ پہنچانے والا ہے وہ زمین میں باقی رہ جاتا ہے اور خدا اسی طرح مثالیں بیان کرتا ہے

اللہ نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا اور ہر ندی نالہ اپنے ظرف کے مطابق اسے لے کر چل نکلا پھر جب سیلاب اٹھا تو سطح پر جھاگ بھی آ گئے اور ویسے ہی جھاگ اُن دھاتوں پر بھی اٹھتے ہیں جنہیں زیور اور برتن وغیرہ بنانے کے لیے لوگ پگھلایا کرتے ہیں اِسی مثال سے اللہ حق اور باطل کے معاملے کو واضح کرتا ہے جو جھاگ ہے وہ اڑ جایا کرتا ہے اور جو چیز انسانوں کے لیے نافع ہے وہ زمین میں ٹھیر جاتی ہے اس طرح اللہ مثالوں سے اپنی بات سمجھاتا ہے

اس نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا تو نالے اپنے اپنے لائق بہہ نکلے تو پانی کی رو اس پر ابھرے ہوئے جھاگ اٹھا لائی، اور جس پر آگ دہکاتے ہیں گہنا یا اور اسباب بنانے کو اس سے بھی ویسے ہی جھاگ اٹھتے ہیں اللہ بتاتا ہے کہ حق و باطل کی یہی مثال ہے، تو جھاگ تو پھک (جل) کر دور ہوجاتا ہے، اور وہ جو لوگوں کے کام آئے زمین میں رہتا ہے اللہ یوں ہی مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے،

اسی (اللہ) نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا جس سے ندی نالے اپنی مقدار کے مطابق بہنے لگے اور (میل کچیل سے جھاگ اٹھا تو) سیلاب کی رو نے اس ابھرے ہوئے جھاگ کو اٹھا لیا اور جن چیزوں (دھاتوں) کو لوگ زیور یا کوئی اور چیز (برتن وغیرہ) بنانے کے لیے آگ کے اندر تپاتے ہیں ان سے بھی ایسا ہی جھاگ اٹھتا ہے اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ حق و باطل کی مثال بیان کرتا ہے پس جو جھاگ ہے وہ تو رائیگاں چلا جاتا ہے اور جو چیز (پانی اور دھات) لوگوں کو فائدہ پہنچاتی ہے وہ زمین میں باقی رہ جاتی ہے اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ سمجھانے کے لیے مثالیں بیان کرتا ہے۔

لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُۥ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ

For those who answered Allah's call is bliss; and for those who answered not His call, if they had all that is in the earth, and therewith the like thereof, they would proffer it as ransom. Such will have a woeful reckoning, and their habitation will be hell, a dire abode.

But those who do not answer Him, even if they possessed all that is on the earth and as much of it besides, they would surely offer it to redeem themselves with it. Those who answer the call of their Lord will receive good rewards. Whatever those who have not answered the call of their Lord offer to redeem themselves, even if they offer double the wealth of the whole earth, will not be accepted. They will face a terrible reckoning and their dwelling will be hell, a terrible place to rest!

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
