And when they came (again) before him (Joseph) they said: O ruler! Misfortune hath touched us and our folk, and we bring but poor merchandise, so fill for us the measure and be charitable unto us. Lo! Allah will requite the charitable, - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Then, when they entered into his presence, they said, [O emir! Distress has befallen us and our family, and we have brought [just] a meagre sum. Yet grant us the full measure, and be charitable to us! Indeed Allah rewards the charitable.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When they entered Joseph's court, they said, [Noble Prince, hardship has struck us and our people. We have come with a little money, so give us a measure of grain and be charitable to us. God will give the reward to those who give charity]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So when they came in to him, they said: O chief! distress has afflicted us and our family and we have brought scanty money, so give us full measure and be charitable to us; surely Allah rewards the charitable. - Shakir, Habib

جب یہ لوگ مصر جا کر یوسفؑ کی پیشی میں داخل ہوئے تو انہوں نے عرض کیا کہ ——اے سردار با اقتدار، ہم اور ہمارے اہل و عیال سخت مصیبت میں مبتلا ہیں اور ہم کچھ حقیر سی پونجی لے کر آئے ہیں، آپ ہمیں بھر پور غلہ عنایت فرمائیں اور ہم کو خیرات دیں، اللہ خیرات کرنے والوں کو جزا دیتا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب وہ یوسف کے پاس پہنچے بولے اے عزیز ہمیں اور ہمارے گھر والوں کو مصیبت پہنچی اور ہم بے قدر پونجی لے کر آئے ہیں تو آپ ہمیں پورا ناپ دیجئے اور ہم پر خیرات کیجئے بیشک اللہ خیرات والوں کو صلہ دیتا ہے - Ahmed Raza

(چنانچہ حسب الحکم) جب یہ لوگ (مصر گئے) اور یوسف (ع) کے پاس پہنچے تو کہنے لگے اے عزیزِ مصر! ہمیں اور ہمارے گھر والوں کو بڑی تکلیف پہنچی ہے (اس لئے اب کی بار) ہم بالکل حقیر سی پونجی لائے ہیں (اسے قبول کریں اور) ہمیں پیمانہ پورا ناپ کر دیجیئے (بھرپور غلہ دیجئے) اور (مزید برآں) ہم کو صدقہ و خیرات بھی دیجئے بے شک اللہ صدقہ خیرات کرنے والوں کو جزاءِ خیر دیتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

They said: Is it indeed thou who art Joseph? He said: I am Joseph and this is my brother. Allah hath shown us favour. Lo! he who wardeth off (evil) and endureth (findeth favour); for lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the kindly. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They said, [Are you really Joseph?!] He said, [I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Certainly Allah has shown us favour. Indeed if one is Godwary and patient Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Then they inquired, [Are you Joseph?] He said, [Yes, I am Joseph and this is my brother. God has indeed been gracious to us. One who exercises patience and observes piety should know that God does not ignore the reward of the righteous ones.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

They said: Are you indeed Yusuf? He said: I am Yusuf and this is my brother; Allah has indeed been gracious to us; surely he who guards (against evil) and is patient (is rewarded) for surely Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. - Shakir, Habib

اس کے بعد جب بشیر نے آکر قمیض کو یعقوب کے چہرہ پر ڈال دیا تو دوبارہ صاحب هبصارت ہوگئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے تم سے نہ کہا تھا کہ میں خدا کی طرف سے وہ جانتا ہوں جو تم نہیں جانتے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب خو ش خبری لانے والا آیا تو اس نے یوسفؑ کا قمیص یعقوبؑ کے منہ پر ڈال دیا اور یکا یک اس کی بینائی عود کر آئی تب اس نے کہا ——میں تم سے کہتا نہ تھا؟ میں اللہ کی طرف سے وہ کچھ جانتا ہوں جو تم نہیں جانتے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب خوشی سنانے والا آیا اس نے وہ کرتا یعقوب کے منہ پر ڈالا اسی وقت اس کی آنکھیں پھر آئیں (دیکھنے لگیں) کہ میں نہ کہتا تھا کہ مجھے اللہ کی وہ شانیں معلوم ہیں جو تم نہیں جانتے - Ahmed Raza
